The Story So Far...

More than eight centuries have passed since the World of NC plunged into darkness. Eight centuries, since the Chaos Period -- when Giant Sandworms ravaged the lands of Sand, when Poisonous Mists enshrouded the Caverns of Water's main island, and when Kami-sama brought his wraith down upon the Hidden Village of Leaves. All hope seemed lost...

But through those many years, the Shinobi of each country held strong and with their perseverance and valiant efforts, they rebuilt their villages and eliminated all threats to their homes. After the world-wide Chaos, a long period of peace and prosperity settled in, and a decade later saw the birth of another village, high up in the Mountains of Cloud.

Waterfall Plot...

Eight years ago, several small wars and disagreements erupted between the four greater countries of Fire, Wave, Sand and Cloud. There were external and internal battles, and this became known as the period of The Mini Wars. During one of the later wars, intelligence gathered from these different shinobi villages all pointed to one source of disturbance: the Leader of Waterfall Village, Lord Otaki.

Angered and frustrated by the subtle political games played and the lies weaved, the four Kages banded their armies together and destroyed it all: The hidden shinobi village of Waterfall (located cleverly behind a waterfall) now lies in ruins, its Great Tree burnt to a stump, and its once holy waters (that were said to increase a user's chakra powers to tenfold) now flows lifelessly carrying nothing more than silt and stone -- no one knows what happened to the waterfall's magickal powers.

Lord Otaki’s body was found during the battle -- now known as the Waterfall War ((WWI? hehehe)) -- he’d committed seppuku, along with his family and his most trusted generals. Every piece of evidence was either burnt or destroyed. No one really knows why he'd spent so much effort creating chaos, but most speculate it was because of his ambition to expand Waterfall's territory.

This was five years ago. Since then, the elder Kages have stepped down or had to be replaced for a younger generation who would not have been tainted by the influential political games and lies spread by Lord Otaki. Publicly, they announced that fresher minds would be better suited to lead the shinobi villages into a new age of trust between the four countries.

Travelling Whispers...

Rumors of Sasorimura, aka City of Scorpions, opening its gates again have stirred some eager chatter within the general public -- especially those who operate in the business and tourism sectors. Many remember this hospitable city to hold wonders and attractions never before seen in their Villages. But this entire city closed off to the world just prior to The Mini Wars, avoiding any chances of being thrown into the boiling political stew. Only a handful of travellers have confirmed Sasorimura's reopening... so is this just hear-say or are these whispers true?

Kirigakure's Waterfall Aftermath...
PREVIOUSLY IN KIRIGAKURE : During the Waterfall War, the Old Mizukage died and Mist Council was put into power.

- Sennin Murakami Hoshiko flees Mist Village for largely unknown reasons
- New Mizukage, Matsuki Yoritomo, rises to power but allows Mist Council to continue
- **Unknown attackers enter Kirigakure under cover of mysterious mists and kill a Genin, but the remainder of the Mist shinobi manages to drive them out
- **Murakami Kareo is appointed to Mist Council
- Mist delegates leave for Leaf with proposal of treaty and come away unheard
- Two Mist Students and a Genin attend the Intervillage Exams in Sand ((Not exact numbers? PM Shikyo))
- *Matsuki Yoritomo is assassinated by Kagurazaka Junpei and Matsuki Temujin
- **Kagurazaka Junpei selected as new Mizukage, but also does not interfere with Mist Council

Sunagakure's Waterfall Aftermath...
PREVIOUSLY IN SUNAGAKURE : Shortly after the Waterfall War, the Old Kazekage Nori was assassinated by Missing Ninz along with three out of four members of the Sand Four

- An emergency Sand Council of Elders is made, and they elect a new Kazekage who has been a secret figure in Suna
- The New Kazekage (Inuzuka Melkor) is successfully installed
- The dead arise and attack Sungakure on Hallow’s Eve, two of them are identified as members of the last generation, these attacks were thwarted. Attacks were on the Kazekage Tower, Sun Blessed Fields, Residential Zone, and Oasis Outskirts
- Two Sennins are appointed by Kazekage Melkor
- Sand diplomats with Kazekage Melkor attend the Coronation of the Raikage (Nigami Eimin)
- One of the Sennins retire, and is replaced by another
- Sand holds an Intervillage Chuunin Exam, which is interrupted by a Sand Worm attack and an S-rank criminal, however the exam is still a success

This is the current version:

However, it is somewhat out of date, and we are looking for a new one. The new one would need these things updated, plus any more the councils would like:

-Kirigakure is on the far eastern side of Water Country.
-Other intervillage cities and important locations, such as Iwashiro in Water and Toroano Dojo in Wind, need added. (Village councils/VAs, please contact me with specific location details.)
-Hot Springs country needs added, directly west of Swamp.

Any other details the village councils want added, they should contact me on.
