Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The cart stood ready and waiting at the gates of the village, filled to the brim with the finest raw materials the Kichida family could procure. The Kichida seal had been removed from the cart and replaced with the seal of the fictional trading company that was associated with the team's assumed identities. The secret panel was located behind the seal. To open it, one simply had to apply chakra to the seal, push it inwards, and then turn it to the right. The sealed door would then swing open silently. The compartment already contained a plethora of kunai, shuriken, E-notes, warp tags, nin-wire, smoke bombs, and kawarimi targets. And there was still room left over if any of the three had things they wanted to securely hide. There was room for all three to sit in the front, and the person in the middle would be the one driving the cart. The two horses hitched to the cart neighed impatiently in the steady rain.

Kaoru made her way to the gates to meet her superiors. Her nervousness had not subsided at all. I cannot screw up again she told herself. She clutched the plain white umbrella in her hands. The light rain helped her to relax a bit.

She made it to the assigned cart, it was overflowing with goods and had a fake logo on the side. She walked up to the two horses that were strapped to the cart. She pat one on them on the neck, its fur was warm to the touch. "Hi there, big fella so your going to come on the mission too? You must be as nervous as I am." she said as she stroked the steed's neck. Kaoru's nerves began to dissipate as she stroked the animal's fur. She waited in the rain for her superiors to arrive. She was determined to make this mission a success.

Shindou has finished changing to his raggedy clothing that consist of a wool coat, faded jeans and a dirty t-shirt. His normal attire would not do so he had to make his current clothing work. The weather was horrible like it normally was but of course he did not mind to much. He would rather be walking in rain then in a desert. He reached the gates and noticed two horses and a wagon that it would be pulling; the little girl was there also stroking the majestic beast's neck. It seemed she was excited for the mission.

Kaoru, you can't mess up again. This mission is not just for the ring, we are testing to see how you adapt to situations and how you plan accordingly.

It may seem as if Shindou and Takao was being a bit hard on her but infact it probably was because they had high hopes. She maybe an orphan or not; most students were orphaned at one point in his life. Shindou wasn't one of those cases but it doesn't mean he grew up in a peachy life. His father was literately a demon that demanded perfection so growing up in that way of life was horrific for any child. Takao the Mad blinded his youngest son with kunais just to see if he was really Hashigaki. This was definitely illegal but who was going to go against the Raikage.

Kaoru was startled to see Shindou San so suddenly. She gave him a bow " Yes sir I understand completely." Kaoru's nerves began to come back as the man reminded her. Kaoru was determined not to make another mistake. She didn't want to disappoint Santaru sama or her husband Takaki sama.

She looked back to the horse she had been petting. Looks like I can't pet you for awhile now she thought with a small smile, although sad that she couldn't daydream with the animal any longer.

[So I’m sure you guys saw my banner change. Not to worry, I’m still with you guys as the ANBU Vice Commander during this mission, which will be my last in this position. No pressure, Kaoru xD.]

Clothing made the man, as it were. The way one dressed often said a lot more about a person than anything issuing from his or her mouth. Conclusions could be made in half-seconds based on the rags of a slave, the finery of a noble, or the characteristic headband-protector of a shinobi. For this mission, a single slip-up in attire, manner of speaking, or even one’s bearing could change the outcome from a suave heist into a frantic bloodbath.

Maru Maru was a hard-luck place, permanently on the wrong side of the tracks. It clung to dying memories of more prosperous decades before its local economy had crashed and turned most locales into slums. Deep-rooted social stagnation mixed with poverty was a dangerous disease indeed for any of its inhabitants, and visitors needed to be careful.

The Vice Commander had chosen a middle-class merchant’s garb over which he wore a navy overcoat and half-cape as was the fashion of the times, topped with the tricorne hat that Rin seemed to really like. It was also useful because its upturned brims directed rainwater away from his face and over his shoulders. The outfit would not stick out in a crowd or identify him as a shinobi. He had decided to leave the ST-15 and Delta Elite pistol-bolter at the estate, only wearing the heavy 1796-pattern cavalry sword at his side. It was unlawful for commoners to carry weapons, but everyone understood that traveling merchants usually carried some personal protection if they did not hire PMC guards for escort.

He made for the gates, intercepting Kaoru and Shindou as planned. He looked over their outfits approvingly, noting that Shindou seemed to really enjoy grunge fashion. Kaoru was indulging in a moment of girlishness petting the cart-horse’s neck. She really is very young for this line of work, he thought.

“Agent, trainee, if you’re ready, we’ll depart at once. Maru Maru is a bit of a ways away, but we’ll get there by the late afternoon. We’ve been given a nice little vehicle here…” he said, noting the chakra residue on the trading company sigil. “I don’t anticipate any trouble, but if we get into open conflict, the plan is to fight our way back to this cart where we can access our real supplies. Right now, though, we remain in deep cover. If the contact named Kaguya doesn’t find us quickly, I’ll break off from the group and try to locate him while you two find lodging.

“Trainee Kaoru, it’s no secret that this is also an evaluation mission for you as well. The Regent Commander and I want to see how you lead. To wit, I’m placing Kizoku as well as myself under your command for the rest of the mission. If you wish us to steal something, eliminate a guard, silence a civilian, cause a fight, or start a riot, we’ll do so. Both of us can handle ourselves, so you need not worry about our safety. If no other questions, let’s go. Kizoku, if you wouldn’t mind driving…mainly because Kaoru's underage.”

[I can assume we’ve all exited?]

It was easy to notice that Masao did not see Shindou as a little trainee like Kaoru was. Both men had mutual respect for each other and both seem to have the same idea of the the mission was about. The two men was so similar and broken down, this was a test to see if the trainees would be able to replace them one day. While Shindou wore broken down clothes even if it wasn't part of a mission, the Vice Commander had a weird looking outfit. He seemed like a sea Captain but it was a cool outfit. I don't know why you don't wear that everyday, it fits you.

The old AIT has never drove a horse pulled wagon before so this should be extremely interesting. He didn't know how to make them turn or stop but he will find out eventually. This is going to be a bumpy ride. Shindou jumped up to the wagon and gave the horses a few pats on the back and when everyone was in the wagon they were off.

Kaoru saw the Vice Commander coming their way, she immediately stopped petting the steed and performed a bow "Hello Takaki sama" He was wearing what appeared to be a sailor suit. hmm good choice for a merchant she The Vice Commander looked over Kaoru was a look of approval on his face. Kaoru let out a sigh of relief. Suddenly Takaki Sama landed a bombshell on the small child, by saying that she would be leading the two men. Kaoru was flustered yet honored, she gave another deep bow "I'll do my best" she said with a determined expression.

Soon the three shinobi jumped into the wagon with Shindou san driving. They continued onto their mission site, Maru Maru.
