The Village Built on Clouds
The main infrastructure of the buzzing village lies among the clouds, past the diminutive ability of the naked eye and eternally watchful of unraveling events in the world below. Legend has it that the most recent, ground-level additions locate themselves on the recovered carcass of a titanic demonic beast that once rampaged through the lands only to be defeated by Raiden himself. The Seki District is Kumogakure's residential area for its better-off inhabitants. Most of the clan complexes and prominent family estates can be found here, along with shops and markets to supply residents' needs. Life here can be as comfortable and idyllic as one wishes, although most shinobi tend to find this sort of existence stifling.- 192

Cronopolis New
A habitable plateau where in legend Raiden slew Cronus, an ancient and evil god, setting the stage for the development of Kumogakure in its present form. In reality, every human population center has its slums, and the Cronopolis fills that role due to its association with poverty, violence and preternatural bad luck.- 96
