Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Yukiko was the first to reach the training spot, Kyo, Miko and Yukiko had been training different Places today was in the ancient forest.
"well might as well get started" Yukiko said while charging up her newly taught powers, above her the clouds started to collect into bigger ones and it wasn't long before few drops started Falling..
"on a second note, its hot, and were going to train a bit.. lets make it Cold" the rain turned into snow, and it wasn't long before the area in 500 meters radius was covered in a dense layer of snow.
"much better!" Yukiko stated to herself.. she then went out into the middle of clearing, dancing as she went, the Wind twirling around her, covering her footsteps as she walked in.
"my perfect screen" she stated a bit louder this time, as she started swaying to a tune she was humming, it wasn't long before her humming turned into song, and her swaying turned into what looked like full out dancing, but in reality, if one looked carefully, was a fluid attack pattern, using her Manriki's circular movement. if any would see her dance, they would see Wind whirling up the light snow in intricate patterns, spelling out her movement, both in body and in weapon, the Wind would hold the snow unnaturally long, and the Manriki turned in unexpected motions, as she stepped across the field, leaving no footprints and only the sound of her song and the Unique and distinct fragrance of sweet spring and new forest. a fragrance anyone working with her would have been accustomed to.

Anyone knowing a Santaru would clearly see the clouds an know a Santaru was present, even more so because of the unnatural snow here in the midst of summer.

Re: A bit of fun and training

It was cold outside; a layer of pure whiteness coated the forest floor, concealing all ancient marks and signs of time moving towards a new season. Its unnatural link was obvious even to the city dwellers; people who were affected little by the sudden change of climate, and drop of temperature. To the primitive mind, and even to the lone boy that walked through the forest, lost for hours, the source of the snow was known, a Santaru. He or she who had started the storm was someone who shared the Santaru bloodline, a man or woman who had little care for the outside world, for the abstract changes that it had brought would damage more than the tree’s around them. Nevertheless, the source was close by, and if it wasn’t for the enormous clouds above the clearing, Miko would never have found it. He was too distracted, and even in the village after three years, it took him more than an hour to get to any place.
A single girl danced fluidly in the clearing, each movement cutting through the wind like a shark fin cuts through the water film in the oceans. And still holding resemblance, with each flap of her arms, the wind split into two currents that hugged her arms and body like a mother to her child. She was alone in mind, but not in spirit, for the wind danced with her with a life of its own.

“Yukiko.” – said Miko, trying to get her attention.

He wore his usual attire, a choice of clothing perfect for an intermediate climate. A black hooded shirt decorated with red and grey, his gray bandit mask, as usual – around his neck, his black pants, and the red split cape around his waist. He was shaking, the icy winds starting to affect him.

“The snow… do you mind?” – he said, and then exhaled with his hot fire-enhanced breath on the palm of his hands, warming the extra pair of mouths, before noticing the sweet smell, signature to his friend. Miko was ready to train, although he was already a bit dirty; an aftereffect of getting lost in the forest. Now the only one left was Kyo.

"Yukiko... The snow... do you mind?" Yukiko recognized the voice, Miko was here, now they only had to wait for Kyo.
She finished her movements, with two snowballs flying with perfect precission one at Mikos torso the other just past his head, a tactic she often used that required one to Dodge more than you could see.

.

She then raised her hand up and the snow twirled around her in a torrent, as she dispersed the clouds, letting Miko get his precius sunshine.

New places were so exciting. Since moving to the cloud, Ro had managed to get himself into his fair share of trouble. Just that day he'd managed to swipe a large piece of strawberry cake from a kids birthday part. He'd then continued to 'borrow' a shiney book on display in front of a shop 'how to die like a ninja' and though the words were rather boring it had a cool cover and several pictures of gore spread throughout the book. It was enough to keep him out of trouble for a few minutes. This was also enough time for another strange occurence to take place. Clouds began to fester in the distance and before long a cold breeze distracted him from the book. He arched his head towards the scene and began to stray from the main path, down a narrower side road. Trouble was afoot and for some reason he wasn't part of it.

Further down the road his shoes started to become slick and wet as the snow melted on contact. The naturally warm air was fighting with the sudden temperature change. Ro realized that his shorts and suspenders weren't enough to ward off the cold, but he wouldn't turn back now. He didn't even own a jacket so there would be no hope. Hoping that the miserable cold would go away some day, he shuffled on.

At one point he debated turning back. But then he spotted a figure further up the road. He would have paid no mind but this person had white hair too. While white hair wasn't too uncommon in the cloud, something else also struck his attention. When the stranger turned their head he caught a glimpse at their face. The same big eyes, small nose, and petite jawline was revieled.

Not knowing why he did it, Ro ducked behind cover. Why had he hid? Ro didn't know this man. Ro was never afraid of strangers. A small noise in the back of his head wouldn't stop bugging him though. So he decided to hell with the snowstorm, he was going to look further into this guy.

Not too soon after spotting the boy, Ro came to a clearing. A training ground of such, and tried to stealthily hide behind a tree, though it would be easy to see him if someone was looking he hoped they hadn't. Instead he listened to pleasantries that were entirely boring to him. Were they ever going to say more about who the look-alike was? Annoying...

Luckily over time the weather smoothed itself back out and Ro peeked his head out, glaring daggers at his imposter. What was going on?

Snowballs?

Not one, but two snowballs were thrown in his direction, each with perfect aim destined to hit a specific location at a specific time. It was perfect, too good for little Miko to dodge when his concentration was elsewhere. Luckily one wasn’t aimed at his head, instead it was aimed about a foot apart, seemingly in the case that he successfully dodged the first.

Puff!

The first snowball crashed against his chest. It wasn’t too much of a hit, just a handful of snow hitting this chest at an average speed; but it was enough to make him stumble backwards, which, due to the snow encasing his feet, was enough to make him fall on his butt. It was more than Miko had planned, and that angered him. It angered him that he could not anticipate the event, not the first snowball, not the second one. It angered him that his mistake caused him to fall. It didn’t hurt his body, but it hurt his mind. And now he was sitting on a pile of melting snow, feeling a thousand eyes staring at him, and a thousand voices laughing at him, when no one really was. Quickly, he stood up. He glared at Yukiko. A bang was heard.

Everything was answered with a bang; it had always been answered with a bang, ever since he got those freaky hands that he hated so much. But the explosion wasn’t aimed at Yukiko, its purpose was to startle her, enough to make her leap to her right, for the spontaneous explosion happened to her right, just a meter apart. She would be able to feel the sound wave hit first, then the heat, and then a pile of snow thrown her way as a reaction to the loud BOOM! But the snow was melting, and the ground had already shown signs of the spring floor, and therefore, the snow was mixed with a bit of dirt, and a bit of rocks.

It wasn’t Miko’s intention, but if his friend was not quick enough to dodge, not only would she be hit by the deafening sound, but by a pile of snow, dirt, and stones.

He hated the power. He hated the explosions. At first he loved them, he loved the fact that they would bring everyone’s attention to him, but he wasn’t able to control them. It had been a while now, about a couple of months since he had started working on his project to stabilize the explosions, and it was going well. It was amazing how far the powers of paper extended. Looking so fragile… soon it would become his signature, and the very image of strength.

“Watch out!”– he yelled, a little late.

OOC: Miko didn't notice Ro since Ro is behind him. Probably Yukiko will notice him.
Spontaneus explosion 1 meter away from Yukiko's left side (low power).

As Yukiko turned around she first heard the yell from Miko, and because she knew him well she also knew what was coming, she just did not know where, but the turning movement she used to tense her leg muscles like a spring, ready to jump when she located the explosion. the sound wave told of the direction, and luckily for her and like so many times before, if she knew something was coming, she could rely completely on her speed and agility, her strongest suit. and even more now, when she had warmed up with the moves from before. Just to be sure she readied her Shield - a Move Miko had not seen before,
the direction was behind her as the turn had ben the left side around, as soon as the wave hit her, she jumped, released her shield in the direction, accelerated her jump with a chakra boost. and skidded across a few meters to the left just barely dodging the blast, dust, rocks and snow as it hit the barrier and was flung back to the right.
Yukiko knew the risk.. teasing people with explosions in the bloodline was dangerous.. it was pretty much the same with her. A dangerous business. but if she wasn't a shinobi life would not be more enjoyable when living at the edge. the more danger you pulled out of the better.
Yukiko looked up at Miko, quickly recognising a shadow further behind him.

"You've gotten better at this Miko... " Smiling as she spoke.
tilting her head to the left she tried to notice the person in the shadows..
"Who's your friend?" she asked deciding, that it could not be Kyo.. as he definitely was better at hiding.
she then set in for a sprint, leaping to one of the now nearby trees. Miko should have it easy to see her, but no sound came from her otherwise heavy steel boots. as she ran full speed in her usual way to hide herself from the observer. stopping at a branch just atop the 'intruder'
"Who do we got here?" she said while looking Down at the person, releasing a small snowball she had gathered while running the trees just to hit the person in the face while looking up.. the only thing she could see of the person was that they were the same height and build as Miko, the same hair colour but without her face she could not know for sure who it was and the shade did distort the Picture a bit too.
'Might aswell have fun with the person now where here anyway' Yukiko thought as the snowball left her hand

Perhaps he should have seen it coming given the snow and the fact that they were in a training ground, but Ro honestly didn't expect there to be a snowball fight. He watched with interest and annoyance. Annoyance because the imposter had yet to turn around and reveal his face again. He flinched in surprise when a snowball exploded. The hell was that about? Ro didn't know much about ninjutsu so he didn't recognize the type. What kind of chakra even was exploding snow?

Shaking it off and continuing to watch, he panicked when he saw the one who wasn't an imposter-who's name he was sure he heard but didn't remember-jump up into the tree he was currently hiding by. Well... Shit. This was awkward. He looked up just in time to be pelted by a snowball. It wasn't that powerfull- they weren't trying to hurt him- but the surprise of something wet and cold blasting his face and the minor fear that this one too would explode sent him back on his bum, stumbling out of the trees. He looked to the person in the trees and then down to the imposter standing on the ground. Now that he could actually see his face he confirmed it. He was looking into a mirror of sorts.

For some reason he really, really didn't like that. Wiping more of the snow from his face he stood back up and glared at the both of them in turn. Ro wasn't an angry person, not usually, but right now he was frustrated and wanted answers. And he was cold. Ro really wasn't fond of things that were cold. "Who am I? Who are you guys?" He pointed to each of them with a threatening, accusing finger.

She dodged it.

Miko didn’t want to hit her from the start anyways. The explosion was nothing more than a reflex, a counter action to the way she made him feel. He was angry for a second, his emotions had gotten the better of him, but in its short duration – he managed to control himself from unleashing any further explosions upon the girl. What looked like a magnetic field sent back the snow, dirt, and rocks that were thrown at her by the sudden explosion in the ground.

“How?” – the boy thought, a step behind getting carried away by the adrenaline of the situation. He loved the feeling, the rush in his heart as it started pumping blood faster, and his lungs as they contracted and rested in a timely manner in response to the agitation of his body, he loved getting worked up and just letting go… that made him an addict in a way.

Just as he was about to stand up and follow his heart to initiate battle, Yukiko noticed something behind him, something that Miko hadn’t noticed due to his crappy sensing skills.
"Who's your friend?" – Yukiko said.

His friend? What did she mean by that? He brought nobody with him, Jun had decided not to go with him that time. His brother was downhearted by his lack of ability, so much that he willingly chose not to take the genin exam even, and dedicate all his time to the library and the gathering of knowledge. Nothing to do with chakra; but Miko still hanged out with him, after all… Jun was helping him in his little project.

Miko turned around, noticing that Yukiko had already made her way towards the shaded figure behind the tree. What he saw was not of his liking.

The first feeling was that of confusion. Who was that boy? It was not his twin brother Jun behind the shade, it was someone else; but that someone looked exactly like him except for the clown clothes and the stitches all over his face.

Rage came next. Was this a prank? Had someone transformed into him, and put on some weird clothes in order to make fun of him? His graduation was around the corner, he was already considered a ninja, and one of the top, if not the best, in his generation. Of course, nobody had said it, but he thought so himself after multiple tests on the others, he was able to beat them all in a heartbeat; all he had to do was let Genkaku take over.

“What? Who the hell are you? – his shaky voice was all that could get out of him as his mind started going blank. He could think of nothing else to say, all his words had been swallowed by the white haired boy already… he was coming… and he was angry. The air changed around him; he hid his hands behind him. Anyone that knew him would know what would come next if the boy gave the wrong answer. For Miko, there were no second opportunities, you either got it right at the beginning, or you lost.
