Ao had been on the road for a while now, several months actually, but for the most part he had enjoyed it. There was something freeing about not being tied down to any one location for to long. At the same time though, there was also something unequivocally lonely about it. Technically though, Ao was never alone, he could thank the strange being that shared his body for that. Nevertheless Ao yearned for human interaction, and a few weeks ago he made the decision to travel to Wind Country to visit the beautiful lands as well as pop into the Hidden Sand Village. As a child Ao had been forced to learn about all of the Hidden Villages, and Sand had always sounded like an interesting place to visit. That coupled with the reports of numerous creatures Ao could form summoning contracts with had sealed the deal in Ao's mind.
So here Ao was, alone in a foreign land, with only his staff and flask to keep him company. Walking through dense forests with nothing but the songs of wild birds for him to listen to. If he hadn't been alone in the wild for so long Ao would have stopped to listen a little bit longer, but he had somewhere to be and he had put this trip off too long already. Ao moved quickly and quietly through the forest, making sure to not draw any attention to himself. While Ao hoped there would be no issues with him being a former member of the Hidden Mist, he still did not want to draw too much attention to the fact. He would hide the truth behind his identity until he was forced to reveal it, at least that was the plan, there was no telling what would really happen once Ao reached the Sand gates.
