Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The wonderland café was normal dressed up as some sort of unique place, but this time the place was decorated with balloons and streamers. A birthday being set up and the place was filled with people helping decorate. Some of the usual staff was in the kitchen baking a cake, while out in the dining room waitresses were setting up tables and ponies blew up balloons. Today was Nina’s birthday but she has yet to arrive. Currently Shikora was keeping her busy teaching her meditation techniques. However it will not be that much time remaining. It would only be a matter of minutes before the guest of honor comes through the doors. Ryu being the mother was of course the one in charge and she seemed to be a little nervous. She wanted everything to be perfect and she ever so hoped the other guests will show up. It will be a shame if only her subjects came to her daughter’s birthday party; hopefully they didn’t get lost in the caves, those caverns can be like a maze sometimes.

[OOC: Going off as though the two had introduced themselves and Ryu got an ACTUAL invitation from the other topic.]

The 'Wonderland Cafe', it wasn't some place that Ryu had really thought to come to before now; he'd heard mention of it now and again but details of it were omitted from the information. He stood before the guards, towering over them and was blocked out. He might not have come on official business, but he apparently just had the look of law enforcement, which always meant that he'd get at least a little heckled while down in the gutters like this. Not that the place seemed to be a gutter, rather it was rather fancy and pretty impressively cared for despite the location. Ryu harrumphed and eyed the twin bouncers warily, debating just how hard he could hit one of them with the other before putting his diplomacy on. "I'm here at invitation. From 'Gen Ryu'." He produced the little card that had been given by the mare. He didn't mention that he was supposed to be part of the entertainment for the kid, it wasn't embarrassing that he got to tote a kid around on his shoulders or since he actually didn't mind kids when they weren't spoiled or bratty. Even if the kid happened to be so, he was bound to complete the Favor incurred from insulting the mare's honor.

Waiting until the two bouncers had eyed the invitation and begrudgingly let him pass with various muttered threats of violence that Ryu blatantly ignored while he passed by them and into the bustling cafe. The towering shinobi was dressed in his usual garb, which is probably one of the reasons he caught so much flack; his black kimono top with the sleeves just long enough to extend to his fingertips but be out of the way when he moved and his left arm was close to his body with the bandaged appendage out of side on habitual reflex. Pants that matched the color of the kimono top, naturally, and the embroidery on both of the clothing items were of a muted dark grey color that seemed to break up most of his outline while passing through shadows and such. Quite frankly, he only possessed one outfit that he wore for Celebrations but considering the location he wasn't about to walk in to this place in his festival outfit, that would draw just as much if not more attention to him than his work clothing, which was what about eighty percent of his wardrobe consisted of.

Lurking in the doorway for a moment, the man's attention flickered across the activity of the Cafe until he spotted the mare he was looking for, carefully weaving through the activity to get out of the way while he lifted his chin in a quiet salute and acknowledgement of the mare's presence. He was here, if not a touch early, and would watch as the festivities unfolded.

His arm throbbed, down here in the dark tunnels made the creature inside him stir and become restless, urging him to go deeper, go further down to where he would feel the blood of the earth matching the hot, piercing needles that throbbed through his left arm. It wanted to feel the flow again and kept flooding Ryu's mind with the images and feeling of deathly hot molten rock sliding by the scales of the creature harmlessly as water and the pleasant sensation of warmth it felt that made Ryu's nerves scream in pain at the translated memory. He stuffed it down, shut the creature out as best he could, but he was going to have to do something about the creature soon; it had been more active recently and it was...irritating.

Today was an exciting one for the young student, she’d been invited to a party and it was the first one she’d been invited to since before her parents had died since her personality and quirkiness really put people off of the idea. She’d never been to the Wonderland Café before so it’d taken her a while to get directions but she would eventually find her way to the building. It had been a couple of months since the first time Reishii had met the somewhat clumsy pony and they’d managed to remain in contact during that time which was pleasant for the wannabe medical ninja as she always enjoyed having more friends to play with. The girls hair had grown out and looked even more ridiculous that before, she was growing out her natural blonde since she wanted to go back to it and the idea of having a shaved head didn’t feel right to her, she liked it somewhat long and as such, her hair was a strange mesh of pink and blonde, though she did her best to make sure she still looked presentable, having it down and straight. She was quite excited about the fact that she’d gotten to wear something fancy thanks to this party, fancy by her own standards anyway. She was wearing a pink dress that had blue and yellow balloons around the hem that stopped just above her knees and wore a dark blue jacket over that, on her feet she wore a cute pair of pink flats with blue and yellow bows on them. She did attempt some make up to help mature her looks up a little but after it turned into a disaster she decided to leave it and would bother Haruka about it at a later date to teach her.

As she arrived, she flashed her invite to the bouncers outside the door, giving her best smile which probably crept them out a little as it came off as a little crazy. She went into the building and looked around at all the people and ponies getting everything all set up, the invite had asked them all to come a little early so they could surprise the young mare and Reishii thought that was far to fun an idea to pass up. She would wander around the crowds, watching as they put up decorations and the likes with an excited look on her face, she did soon spot Ninas mother though, or at least that what she believed their relationship was, she’d never really asked. She would beeline straight for the older equine and bounce a little as she announced her arrival to the woman. “I’m here, Miss Ryu! This is so freakin’ exciting!” She squealed, almost as if she was filled with a pressure that was set to burst, covering the building in radiation and fire in the process, so long as her other half didn’t show her face that was unlikely to happen however.

In the back of the room Shino was at the turntable laying down a sick beat. The speakers on either side were absolutely humongous and set to max volume. Anybody that was in the caverns would hear the music despite their location within them. Thousands of bats poured out of the cave of wonders as they were disturbed from their slumber. As for the café the entire construction was shaking. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, the bouncers, looked at each other with concerned and they both rushed to enter the build. Unfortunately they’re not the sharpest tool in the shed and got stuck in the door way because they tried to enter at the same time. When they finally get in they run over to Shino and demand her to turn down the volume or be thrown out. After Shino turn down the volume to appropriate levels the two go back outside. This time they learn there lesson and go out the door one at a time.

The guests might notice that there were streamers moving on their own, but unlike when Ryu and the other unicorns move thing there was not an aura surrounding them. This was Chesshire, one of the maids. She dresses like a catgirl and is an expert at the invisibility genjutsu. Chesshire Jumps from rafter to raft unseen hanging streamers and balloons. She giggles as she does this making it seem like she was a ghost. However, every so often her illusion will falter enough to see her grin seemingly float in the air.

The Queen of Hearts and the March Hare were in the kitchen making food for the party. True according to Ryu nightmares don’t eat physical food, but there were plenty of people that did so food was prepared. The smell of sweet chocolate emanated from the kitchen and filled the dining room. The White Rabbit, who wasn’t late for once, was busy taking the liquor, beer and other assorted beverages from the bar and locking them away. Obviously nothing of that nature will be served today.

Ryu was delighted to see that Reishii and Ryu made it. There was still one more person she invited, but she was at least glad to see these two. Perhaps the third will show up later. “It is good to see you two. I was starting to worry you might not show up.” The dark mare glances at the clock. “Your timing couldn’t be more perfect. Nina should be on her way to the cave of wonders now.”

It took some time to find the wonderland cafe, but Jomei wouldn’t miss Nina’s party; he R.S.V.P.’d after all. And when I say “find his way” I do mean that in the literal sense. Tonight was Jomei’s first foray into one of village’s abandoned mine shafts. Attempting to find the wonderland cafe added half an hour of wandering and curious exploring. Innocent observations along the way yielded interesting photos. Rock formations and multi-layered erosion patterns from years of water during the summer season. His curiosity led him off route, and he trekked through the deepest confines of the cave within the mine. He kept a red lantern in one hand. He brought along a birthday present for Nina, and not a drop of cave dew or flick of mud would ruin it.

The new flash bulb in his camera was creating bright flashes of light in the deepest recess of the mine. The last one fizzled out at Ryujingate. He was so busy taking pictures of cave stuff. At some point, Jomei was so lost in the caves that he committed to his spider senses and became a ravenous cave dweller. He clung to the ceiling and creating an elaborate web maze to snare his prey. Jomei shed his clothing and the gift, and put them in a web sack, skulking about in total darkness for an insufferable amount of time. Years.

Let’s skip ahead to the party, shall we?

Jomei enjoyed the company of good friends and some fun from time to time. This one he dropped into, almost as if he appeared from thin air, or fell from the ceiling. In a crowd like this, such an act was hardly a spectacle. In a place like this, to be spectacular was nothing less than life changing, as in someone had to die for something to be spectacular. How are you today sir? Close to spectacular as in incredibly fine by far. As in incredibly well, but less than spectacular.
Jomei mingled into a small crowd from the moment he arrived. His arrival was quiet. He shyly avoided attention as he moved through the room, despite his reserve of able arms drawing curious looks as usual. For the sake of dressing appropriately for the party, Jomei had donned a new outfit. Dressing like he had come from a Mumford and Sons concert seemed appropriate in the coal mine. An old top hat, a dusty vest and a collared shirt with six rolled sleeves. Pants. He even wore high-laced coal miner boots, and a stone-red scarf around his neck. Jomei was getting unexpected reactions to his six-armed evolution, and provided a confidence boost. People were seeing the uses, and maybe even sex appeal of the extra arms…? That was for him to comfortably live with, and yours to admire if you so desire.

First he shed the dead weight of Nina’s gift at the gift table. His present was a box wrapped in blue wrapping and red spiders patterned across the print. A white ribbon wrapped around the gift and tied into a bow on the top.

Peeping and weaving through the room, spotted several familiar faces, as well as a few new ones as. The most familiar of all was Ryu Kazehi, a mighty man, most well known for his stature, followed by his sense of honor. It surprised Jomei to see someone so masculine at a children’s party; all that was missing now was the fezzed man. Jomei mingled towards the first of two Ryu’s here tonight, and sought to surprise him. until he bumped into a another party-goer as the room shifted. A pony bucked Jomei when one of his many elbows rubbed against her. He almost took flight and collided with another human, an unsuspecting girl just trying to attend the party. He backed into Reishii, almost bowling her over. “S-sorry” he said with a nervous stutter while sweeping a hand around her waist, and taking her hand left hand. Balance achieved. His steps moved in a circle, as if he were attempting to start a ballroom dance at the pace of the music pumping through the room. Her royal blue dress shimmered as he spun her in an almost elegant circle around the center of the wonderland cafe. A few claps and hoof stomps smacked in approval. It wasn’t exactly the waltz.

“I’m so sorry. A pony pushed me and- um, I couldn't help it.” He whispered as they met face to face; hers most-likely startled, scared, or even infuriated. His face reddened with a nervous blush, and he had a stupid, awkward grin. At least he was kind of cool about it. “Shall we dance?” he asked her, though it was already a tad late to file a request. He then tipped his hat and chuckled. "Allow me to introduce my self. I'm Matsui Jomei." He turned silent, observing her as he received her reply. Captain Kazehi would have to wait a moment, and Ryu was busy enough making the last touches before Nina's arrival. "What is your name?" he asked amid failing efforts as he actually tried to dance.

Towering over people was nothing fully abnormal, but what he most certainly wasn't used to being in a room where aside from the building he was the biggest thing in attendance. Most all of the...horses...and creatures, and the occasional people came to maybe the bottom of his chest at the tallest. It made him nervous that he was going to step on someone. "Gave my word. I hold to that." Responded to the host of the hour. That and he didn't mind kids, though he wasn't going to say that out loud. He had no children of his own, but he didn't mind hearing the delight or amusement sounds they could manage to make, it...warmed his heart a bit. But for all that, he didn't move much from his chosen location, when he did, he danced over the folk in the cafe most of the time; mile long legs carrying him over skittering little horses or around and past a bustling maid. He was tempted to join the girl in the rafters, she seemed to have the right idea about up being the better spot, but he wasn't sure if he could manage to fit. Besides, it was sometimes rude to invade someone's location.

The man, looked calm the confidence he carried his armor here as it was anywhere else; he was a bastion of calm in a room full of chaos, maybe it was disconcerting for some but he had built up that armor over long years and had forgotten how to take it off fully. He didn't bear the sense that he wasn't enjoying himself, but he was able to keep extremely still in a maelstrom of activity and remain unruffled. He watched Jomei, his interesting little subordinate drop out of the ceiling and cause a bit of havoc with his entrance as he landed on one, got kicked by one of those horse creatures and sent spinning into the girl who had entered previously. Did he recognize her? Was she one of the ones from the tournament? Possible, but he wasn't able to get quite a close enough look at her. But Jomei sure did as he spun into her and suddenly pulled her along in a whirl he attempted to turn into a dance. While the corners of his lips didn't fully lift, an amused glint entered his eyes while he started observing other portions of the cafe. Apparently the guest of honor, this 'Nina' was arriving shortly.

Shortly. Hah. The puns. He shifted slightly and looked to the host of this party with a cocked eyebrow, slightly lifted chin and a tilted head quietly asking just how exactly this would go down.

Reishii was happy to see that her presence was appreciated, despite her normal demeanour she really didn’t anything like friends that were excited to see her; she was just good at talking with strangers more or less so she was rather well known around the village. “Hee hee~ If someone asks me to be somewhere I’ll definitely be here! Especially if it’s a party for a freakin’ pony! So cool.” She cooed happily, still trying not to get overexcited but the smells and sounds all around her were becoming increasingly hard to resist, the urge to pet ponies was also a difficult one to hold down but she had no idea if that was even acceptable or offensive and thusly wanted to play it safe. She’d picked up a gift for the birthday girl but it was something small and she was afraid of it betting lost if she’d put it on the table with the other gifts and would keep it on her person for the time being and give it to Nina a little later on.

As she was stood with Ryu, excited about her friend turning up her ears caught the sounds of a commotion behind her followed by a body bumping into her own before she’d even gotten the chance to turn and see what it was. She’d have stumbled onto the ground had it not been for the quick reactions of the now clearly human person catching her as they both fell. After a little balancing act that involved a lot of twirling on both their parts though hers was out of her hands clearly, she was face to face with the culprit who seemed embarrassed more than anything whilst she would just laugh, she enjoyed fun so why wouldn’t she? Her scarred face would give the illusion of a much bigger smile and it would probably be him of the two of them to look startled or scared. Between her laughter the boy would ask her to dance which seemed like a fine idea to her, it might let her blow off some of the excitement welling up in her. “Sure thing!” She would exclaim happily before also introducing herself whilst trying to dance along with him though it was clearly her first time. “Nice to be bumped into by you, Jomei.” She giggled softly. “I’m Minamoto-Kono Reishii, but just Reishii is fine or even Reirei!” She would add, getting used to some of the more creative nicknamery she’d been subjected to recently, it hadn’t even crossed her mind that she was dancing with a boy at this point, most girls would be blushing their heads off, but not her she was to dense in that department it seemed.

There was yet another guest arriving however this one was not invited. Seeing how she looked and knowing exactly who she is. The two body gaurds felt little need to prevent her from entering. Tweeddle Dee and Tweedle Dum never could understand the intricacies that are Gen Ryu. Entering into the cafe was a little pony mare with quite an unusual look about her. Besides her yellow coat and pink mane, she had bat like wing and ears. Her canines stuck out of her mouth like fangs. She was not happy about not being invited and she looked it. She was going to give the dark mare overlord a good tongue lashing. When Ryu see her scowl coming she hangs her head low. Ryu could not believe that she forgot to invite her only contract holder. "Yeah, you better hang your head. I can't believe you invited all of these people but you forget me." A red mist engulfs her body as she changes into a more accommodating form. She was now a young woman with hair the same color as the mane she once had. She also had the ears, wings and fangs of the pony as well. This was her natural state of being. The Human female then would attempt to take Reishii's hand and steals her away from Jomei. "Mind if I cut in." She would dance with Reishii regardless. "Well hello... Reishii was it? my name is Ryuki. I must say I like your hair, but I suggest you keep it pink."

As Ryuki danced Tweedle Dee walks into the cafe and tells Ryu about a certain person making her way to the building. "Okay everybody places, Places." The ponies and staff quickly find hiding places as Gen Ryu walks to the front of the room and turns out the light. Ryuki flies up to the rafters and would take Reishii along if she let her. Ryuki on her way to land on the beam of wood bumps into an invisible object. It was Cheshire and she gives Ryuki an annoyed meow. Ryuki then moves over to sit beside the catgirl who was now returning back into view. She did not look happy about almost being knocked off into the crowd below.
