Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Returning from her mission was rather easy, She had waited around and filed reports with the guard that arrived to arrest the suspects. Afterwards she made her way home to freshen up and clean off the grime from the fight, making sure to wipe any and all blood from herself and put on a cleaner outfit. Once dressed and cleaned up, she would head straight to the meet up location at the gates. She knew that her future commander would not need much information out of her, as she had been aware that he'd probably get the reports before she'd have made it there, but she still prepped them just in the event he had not.

She was slightly nervous, given the one death that had occurred being directly her fault. She was well within her right to defend herself given the actually weapons that had been drawn on them, but even still it was one too many. While the report had ruled it self defense, there was also the argument of how it went down and how she had acted during it. She most likely did not need to kill him, but she couldn't have helped it if she had tried. Something in that moment said it needed to be done, and she acted on that instinct. Either way, that wasn't for her to decide if it was justified. The job was finished and the man was dead, but at least the rest of that gang was terrified enough by the events that if they hadn't gotten arrested, she was sure they'd be laying low for some time.

She leaned against a wall and lit a smoke, this had been a long day and now a long night. She was feeling it, the effects of all that had occurred. Her stomach still sore from the stab wound she had gained during the fight, though it was mostly healed by mednin at this point. But the colder and harsher reality was she had never killed someone before, and she just had done it with no remorse or guilt. She felt like she would be feeling guilty or ashamed, but in reality it felt oddly fine. In the moment she even found that she was enjoying it, but that was something she needed to push down. That was something she knew that she should be ashamed of, but she just couldn't help but feel the rush from it all.

This wasn't something she had ever felt before, so why was it the case. She pushed it down taking another long drag off her smoke and looked toward the gate. She'd give it some thought when she had time, but right now she needed to focus on what was ahead. She'd finished what was asked and even gotten more of those thugs arrested than originally thought. So, all and all, she felt she had done everything she could right. Besides, people didn't need Anbu for things that were clean right? They needed them to go where things got dirty and make it so that they never get that way again. Maybe she'd do well in this life after all.

Being handed a couple of papers, the captain began to read what he was given. "Really? So she..." A nod was given and the shadow was dismissed. Things were looking up for the ANBU branch. He hoped this wasn't a false report. To read of success gave him thought of the ANBU HQ. He hoped for success within the village. The works that are being put behind the effort were in motion. Uzi placed the papers on the desk, moving outside to watch the traffic of the gates.

* * *

Uzi gave a call as he left the gates, the gate guards continuing on their duty as he left. The moon was always beautiful while in the village at night. He stumbled across the smell of nicotine, the smell led to Neko, his new recruit. She seemed lost in thought about something. Now would be the best time to give her the news.

"Neko, I'm glad you're still alive and well. How did everything go?" He removed his mask, the grin on his face almost telling her of the good news itself.

Her eyes met his and with his smile hers grew, "things went, a little messier than thought originally but I'm going to blame that on the medic I chose, it was more of a training thing. But, he managed, we managed, and job is done" she laughed and then gently grabbed her abdomen where the stab had been, clearly still a bit sore from that.

"Mask off huh? I'm flattered." She let out a smaller chuckle, "there was one small complication but they had a few extras and they brought weapons so.."

She sounded as though it were no big feat, but he knew if the Bazaar. It wasn't the best place to be around. It was bad enough that they were underground to begin with. But as she continued on and clutched at her waist, he knew it could have went better. His smile dropped as he began with a few words. "You should take a week off, at least until you get better. It looks like you hurt yourself." A smile still lay on his face, but it wasn't as big as his grin from earlier.

"Neko, you did great. The ANBU HQ, is still being rebuilt on the inside, but I know you'll grow to love it. Consider yourself an ANBU. I believe you'll love the branch." He began to walk away slowly. He hoped the good news was enough to lift her spirits, even give her something to look forward to. "If you ever need direction, just meet me at the gates, or the HQ. I'll send you a letter by bird upon your objectives, and what's expected of you. For now, your objective is to recruit a few trainees and take on gate duty. On your off days you could help with HQ that's in the underground ruins. Anything else, report to me." Sliding his mask to the side of his face, he placed his hands in his pockets after a wave to Neko.

"Have a goodnight Neko." He would walk off without much worries. A new recruit and he was sure she would do well. He would head out to view these criminals himself. Surely he could catch up to their leader and put a stop to their operations once and for all.

She would nod at his suggestion to take a minute and help up before doing any more official business, she decently could use that break. Hearing him say that she also would be able to help those interested in the role find the path made her smile lightly as it meant a lot to her. The smile would only grow as he made his way back to post. She had done what she was dreaming of since she was just a kid, and now she'd have the ability to keep that dream alive. Now she needed to just heal up and get ready to act out her new title, easy enough.
