Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Simply put, this was the idea that Tamashii would be able to figure out a sense of... justice. The notion that all he did was pencil pushing desk work was wrong. He was trying to get himself back into shape for a comeback as a shinobi. There was little left to the imagination as he worked his body endlessly around the village, taking morning runs and lifting weights much more than he used to... though the physique he was looking for was not one of bulk and mass, but lean and muscularly toned. Much more than he was before. He knew that if things happened to get out of hand in the coming months he would have to step in... and now taking a break from all of that Tamashii went to the Grounds of the Academy to send out paperwork to all Students that needed a class that counted towards their graduation.

On the edge of the railing Tamashii, right hand and advisor to the Hokage, leaning against the cold morning bar, awaiting the kids to enter. This would most certainly be a spectacle of sorts he didnt seek any children in particular, maybe someone that entered would catch his eye. Who knew... It didnt at all matter though, he wanted to help out since he'd come out of his mourning stage. He had to carry on and float on. Life as he knew it wouldnt be the same but it came as no surprise that a shinobi would lose a friend... whether in the line of duty or because of secret dealings that always seemed to be the case. Everyone was such an edgelord these days... it really got to Tamashii... so many people with horrendous backgrounds. He could barely choose who was what and when and how... so much failing at the basic policing level that Tamashii would have to consider Yomi's temporary stint of the Main Policing force... as it seemed ANBU and Medical were pulling all the weight in the village... as per usual.

'Oh well...' Tama thought as he puffed on his cancer stick. He'd picked up the habit to ease his stress... who knew there might be a better way than that to do it... but he didnt have time to Yoga. Or anything else... This was simple and easy.

Yukio had heard of the class with everything he had coming up he was wondering what challenges would face him in the near future with his progression through the Shinobi branches, as he walked he couldn't help but bring his hand to the edge of his eyes their light glow still being something he was getting used to. It had been a short time since he'd received the evolved eyes of the Hyuuga and in that time he'd never tried them nor truly adjusted to having them.

WIth this class that had been granted to them, he was hoping to possibly resolve that with some hard training, sweat and perseverance morals he'd kept close to him even in the early days before arriving at the academy so long ago. Arriving at the Hokage rock he looked up to observe the fine carvings for all he had lived in leaf for some time some spare time of his own had never been put aside to actually visit this place looking over to Tama only assuming this was his teacher for this lesson.

He'd never seen him before nor had he actually been told about him by his tutor, though knowing everyone who walked the village would be a challenge for anyone who hadn't spent enough time here raising his hand in greeting as he walked over.

"I can only assume you will be taking this lesson for today? an introduction is in order I am Hyuuga Yukio it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Rakutsu walked towards his destination with his hands in his pocket and his gazed fixed on what was in front of him, but occasionally shifting to look down at his feet. His signature calm expression was present like always, but it did little to convey what he was feeling at the moment. If he was completely honest with himself, he was nervous. He only signed up at the academy recently and was on his way to his very first class with little knowledge about it's subject.

It could be about a subject he knew a good deal about or it could be about something he knew next to nothing about like poison or weapons. He was risking looking like a complete fool in front of his newly found peers and superiors. Still, it didn't get to him so much that he was about to turn around and run home ready to give up his goals. The academy is the place where kids like him are able to learn the very basics of the shinobi arts so its ok if he gets a few things wrong. Or at least that's what he keeps telling himself.

Rakutsu arrived at the Hokage rock a little confused. He thought the academy is where classes were held so why have one at a place like this? "Your the one holding the lesson right? My name is Rakutsu Hayasa. I promise that I won't waste your time." He said introducing himself with a respectful bow.

When he heard about the new class that just opened, he automatically signed for it. It wasn't because he wanted to be at the academy, no that wasn't the case. He wanted to be able to finally get the promotion from genin to chunin. That was all he wanted that this course had to offer. That and he hopes to pick up a few techniques along the way to aid him in his quest for power. Good things will come to those that wait, for now his only short term goal is to get the promotion by whatever means necessary.

Dokuso Maru looked like a person who couldn't be trusted by his appearance alone. His hair was long, he had a confident grin plastered on his cheeks, even his glasses had made him look like a shady character because of the glare of the sun, making it hard to see his eyes thus hard to tell what he was thinking. He wore mostly a black long sleeved shirt, grey loosely fitted pants with three ninja pouches strapped on his back waist, his shoes wore ninja shoes for climbing mountains. His forehead protector was tied about his neck like a scarf, the symbol of the hidden leaf viable to show his patriotism for the village.

He never heard of a sensi asking to meet them on the hokage rock, usually when you first meet a teacher it would be normally in a classroom setting, books, chairs and tables with a happy go lucky teacher who wants you to try your best. But, the man before him wasn't the same kind of teacher you'd normally get, smoking a cigarette is one major red flag on his part, having us outside is a bit odd, even how he looked was not normal for a teacher. Dokuso chuckled to himself, knowing that this man is probably one of those strict hardcore teacher that would not hesitate to fail anyone of his students. Or, perhaps he is just another softie trying to act tough. Despite this, Dokuso took his place with the students without saying a word to the teacher or the students. He just stood there with his arms folded, wondering when we will start the introduction to the course.

Shinzo had signed up for the class as soon as he had heard there was one on offer. The prospect of being out of the classroom instantly appealed to him, being stuck indoors never really sat well with the young lad. This was an opportunity to get out there and experience something different, but the exact topic was still unknown to Shinzo.

He sprinted through the streets, kicking up small pockets of dust as he sped to make it to the class on time. With every road he ran down he mentally challenged himself to go faster, this caused a few stumbles but nothing significant. No speed seemed fast enough for Shinzo and thus he grew evermore frustrated. He needed to put this frustration to one side though as he approached Hokage Rock, his eyes darted between the figures stood before him as he drew closer. He inspected them, one by one, but only briefly as his attention was soon fixed on whom he assumed to be the teacher for today’s lesson.

His green eyes closed for but a moment as he slowed himself, kicking up yet another small pocked of dust behind him as the stop was so sudden. One of the feathers he had been keeping in his hair drifted out of place but Shinzo was quick to notice and catch it between his right thumb and forefinger. He used just the right amount of pressure to pluck it from the air and quickly replace it next to the other which had remained in his hair. He turned his attention back to the teacher, nodding briefly in greeting and respect.

“Deguchi, Shinzo.” He said quickly whilst making his way to stand with the other students present. “I’m not late, am I?” With this said he folded his arms, admiring the Hokage of the past as he waited for the class to begin.

Four kids. The new generation was beginning to look bright. Especially with word and rumblings that a certain bloodline had recently come about in the village, Tamashii would look into that for the future. Though as they would enter he would not say anything... allowing them the suspense of the time. They were on a balcony overlooking the Hokage Rock. As soon as the last child came and took his stand, Tamashii would nod, "Oioi... I am Yumoto Tamashii. Advisor to the Hokage and the highest Rank Jonin in the village. I am quite appreciative of the vast presence of faces and backgrounds that have come out today... It pleases me to say that this is going to be the beginning for some of you... and maybe the class that teaches you about the harsh world of the shinobi. The livelihood that you all are set out to embark upon. It can be harsh... Hard... and quite detrimental to you mentally... physically... emotionally... But I am here to be a help you whom need it.", looking at the boys that had shown up. He would smile, each of them except one had introduced himself and were respectable to this process.

"You.", pointing to the boy that had not said a word. "Your name. And after he gives me what I want... I want each of you to tell me your reasoning for wanting to be a Shinobi like the great Hokage's whose faces have been carved into the rock of history... etched for eternity... What makes you think you're worthy of the title 'Shinobi'?", and with that he would cross his arms after flicking the cigarette off the balcony letting it fall to the wayside.

Shinzo watched Tamashii as the Jonin stood quietly, being in the presence of the Hokage’s advisor stunned him slightly, this wasn’t any ordinary teacher. Though he was not immediately greeted personally, the young ninja-to-be was not offended in the slightest, instead he simply waited. Thankfully he didn’t need to wait too long as the instructor began to speak, he listened intently wondering what this lesson might entail. It definitely did not seem like it was going to be easy and so he began to mentally prepare himself for what may come this day. The smile which proceeded to pass over him gave Shinzo slight relief, but it did not distract him, for now his mind remained focused.

He stood waiting for the student that had been singled out to answer. Shinzo was a rather impatient 8-year-old but for now, his respect for his teacher held him in check. He did not want to speak out of turn, but waiting had always bothered him. His feet pushed against the ground, making a small pile of dirt between them. For now, this would keep him distracted but if he had to wait too much longer then his fidgeting would get worse. This would be noticeable for anyone paying attention to him for longer than ten seconds. And upon hearing the question ‘what makes you think you’re worthy of the title ‘Shinobi’’, he grew ever more restless. He knew what he exactly wanted to say but he also knew he had to wait for the other student to speak. His patience was wavering, but he held his tongue… for now.

He pushed his glasses with his middle finger, the glare in his glasses would be gone, revealing his golden hues that peered out at the teacher. Quite interesting, he seemed like a total push over when he spoke, his smile was pretty typical behavior for a teacher. Interrupting his judgment thoughts on the man, Tamashii called on him to speak. Pretty much expected because he didn't give his name to began with. Of course, to get the class rolling he was happy to tell the teacher his name.

“Dokuso Maru,” he said with confidence, of course he gave the man what he wanted which was his name. However, the boy went on so he'd wouldn't be called upon again. “I prefer Maru for short. What makes me worthy of being a shinobi like the great hokage's who managed to get there faces on a rock for us to look at? Well let's see…” he peered over at the other students before addressing the question.

“Well for starters I haven't forgotten about the shinobi because they represent power. And, I'm willing to do whatever it takes to gain that power to put a certain corporation out of business, if you catch my drift.” He gave a glance to the man again, ending his reason there so he'd call on someone else. He moved both hands in front of him to fold his arms, satisfied with his answer. It wasn't a secret that he hated, by all means HATED, the Konoha Corporation for having taken over hidden leaf village and attempted to make the shinobi into a myth. The only reason why they needed to bring the ninja arts back was to make people strong enough to protect the land from people who haven't forgotten about the ninja way. Regardless, their elimination will come at a later date.

"So pick someone else already." He said, seemly mocking the teacher as if testing his patience with him. Just to see what would he do to a student that has little to no respect for his teacher nor his peers.

Yukio watched each of the students turn up one by one though he was still a student himself he could tell the difference in age, experience and power just by taking a moment to let his Hakumei focus on them. The perks of his eyes allowing his universal insight and his time in the field allowing him to see the difference between the old and the new. Though this did not mean he was judgemental he was once very much the same a few years ago a new and fresh recruit in the academy and wondering what the future would bring.

He learned what that would be very quickly his interactions with the ANBU branch tempering his overconfident nature and showing him things were not always as they seemed on the surface. Many of those standing here would probably learn the same over time and very quickly depending on how kind and patient their teachers could be with them. Listening to their introductions he made a quick mental note of the names of all those present the one who didn't give theirs causing him to raise an eyebrow.

As Tamashii spoke Yukio took in his words placing his hands in his pockets not showing disrespect to the Sennin and continuing to keep his full attention on the words he spoke. If he knew one thing from training with Takeshi it was you should always take the words of such people to heart, for they could become a saving grace in the future.

The boy's response made him twitch slightly power was important yes, however, integrity and representing the village with pride would take precedence over such things for even with power a bad impression of the village towards those in the world could have a greater effect than some could expect. As his eyes traced over to the youngster he made it plainly obvious to Tama he was glaring at the boys back with disapproval and disappointment having had it drilled into him that such behaviour would be swiftly stamped out and put back into place.

BRRRIIIIIIIIIIINNNNGGGG.....BRRRIIIIIIIIIIINNNNGGGG.....BRRRIIIIIIII..... Like a knife made from noise and the hate of all the sleeping people in the world the sound of the alarm clock cut through the silence of the morning before a twitching heel kicked the poor mechanism to the ground. Uaaaggghhhh Juko yawned and rolled over to the other side to escape the invading rays of sunlight that were coming through the window and the reality that another day had begun. Following the yawn were several mumbled curses as the preteen realized that he wouldnt be able to get back to sleep anymore. His legs kicked the pillow they were placed upon to the ground in what seemed to be senseless rebellion against Jukos command to rise from the bed while his hands tried grabing the small nightstand next to his headboard only to clutch at plain air. Whatwhatwhereissit.... One sleepy eye opened and scanned its imminent surroundings followed by its twin. With both eyes open and slowly adjusting to the brightness of dawn he decided to screw it and crawled back under his blanket. Nununooo....

Roughly an hour later the very same blanket exploded in sudden motion as the person underneath remembered that he had to be at a certain place at a certain time today. Ooooh snapppp... He tried throwing a quick glance at his clock only to see it lying broken next to his headboard and cursed again. Then he quickly threw on his baggy pants, a light tanktop and put on his makeup. After all was done and finished and he was content with the two crimson stripes below his eyes he took a moment to do the finger guns at his mirror image before bursting through the door. Taking three stairs with every step he rushed through the small flat and stopped only for a second to squint at the hastily written note that was glued to the fridge.

"Porridge in the fridge, warm it up if your hungry.
Love Mo~ "

If it werent for him reading the messy handwriting almost every morning hed hardly be able to decipher the meaning of the small yellow paper. Not even enough time to finish "Mom" today, eh? Well... guess its porridge today again... He sighted and continued his sprint out of the door and through the streets of the town. Aaah nooo oh come on!! He had just reached the middle of the way, the Hokage Rock already clearly visible at the end of the street when he noticed the missing weight on his back and thus the missing backpack. Damnit... damnit damn goddamnit. On the spot he turned around and ran back to his house, grabbed his backpack from its spot in the kitchen and hurried back to the Hokage Rock. Sweat was coming from all his pores as he finally reached the stairs leading up to the platform on the rock.
Goddamnit Juko! Late, on the first class you signed up for on your own... seriously? Shit, theyre probably already doing stuff up there, with the teached angrily looking at the list waiting just for YOU! I bet if i come up there now, sweating and panting theyre all just gonna laugh at you and point and.... ughhhh... i hate it! His face turned red in anticipation of the shame awaiting him several steps higher. No way! Im gonna make this good, gonna be epic! Yeah! YES! Ill give em a dramatic entrance and theyre all gonna be bamboozled as hell! YEAH! Pumping himself up like that he took the last steps seperating him from the class in a rush of renewed energy. He held his air as he reached the top of the Rock to prevent himself from audibly panting and prepared to demonstrate his very best cartwheel when his legs gave up under him and his body demonstrated his formidable ability to not give a shit. With a loud and disruptive 'bang' Jukos face kissed the stone. The air he had trapped in his mouth travelled through his body and as he was lying on the cold hard ground a not-so-silent fart escaped his body. Yep, thats about it, Juko. Say goodbay to "Hokage" and hello to "Janitor"...

As Juko made his very own ‘dynamic’ entry, Shinzo stepped on the pile of dust and dirt that he had been kicking together. Though this was not triggered by the appearance of another classmate, by no means was he frustrated by the faceplant of his peer at most he found it amusing and while he hadn’t met this boy before, he had a slight respect for him. He stifled a laugh and managed to find some words.
“Are you okay?” The beads of sweat clinging to his forehead told Shinzo that he had been pushing himself, if this was conscious or not did not bother Shinzo for testing one’s own limits was what this life was all about.

No, the reason for the increased pressure at his feet drew from the words of the seemingly most arrogant in the group. While the group may have some natural skill to get to this stage of training, in Shinzo’s mind it did not give reason for disrespect amongst peers and betters. Once ability had been proven then he would tolerate it, but for now it just served to annoy him. His eyes drifted over to Maru before an audible sigh escaped his lips. Now was not the time to initiate argument, for all he knew that would be exactly what this peer would want. He twisted his ankle to part the dust and dirt at his feet to create two smaller mounds before moving with some speed in the direction of his currently ground-sniffing peer to extend his right hand in an offer to help Juko up and onto his feet.

“To be a Shinobi, in my mind, is to put yourself in a place to protect those whom otherwise would be defenceless. If you’re so aligned.” He allowed his eyes to look towards Tamashii’s as he answered the previously given question.
“Looking for power is all well and good, but I want to become a Shinobi to use that power to benefit the people of my home and to continue to push my limits.” Shinzo paused for a moment, pushing his brown fringe further back along the top of his head. He gave a small shrug, slightly unsure if his answer was what was being looked for.
“I guess it’s all about doing what’s best for the village. But to know, acknowledge and embrace that benefitting the village may cause harm to yourself is what makes someone worthy to hold the title ‘Shinobi’.” He paused for breath, the more he spoke, the faster his delivery of speech grew. It was becoming clear that he was in a rush to get his thoughts out of his head as quickly as possible in an effort to not waste any time.
“I mean you might have to sacrifice yourself or something, that’s a big thing for someone to do on a personal level, isn’t it? If you’re not ready to do that then I guess you’re not worthy of being known as a Shinobi. You can’t judge yourself worthy of being a Shinobi though, not from my point of view, it’s not your place to. It’s really up to those who have already shown their capabilities and gained respect for their actions.” As he finished speaking he drew several quick breaths to stabilise himself. He looked around for some sort of sign of agreement from his peers, but this was not for long. Shinzo was not the most relaxed student, not due to nerves but more due to impatience. This was clearly reflected in his small monologue.

“I mean, I guess that’s what I think.” He sighed once more and began to scratch the back of his head, allowing a slightly anxious smile to find its way onto his face as he waited for the response from not only the other students present, but also the instructor.

Dokuso was smiling to himself, seemingly satisfied with the tension that grew between him and his peers. Of course, he would be looked upon as the “bad guy” for seeking power rather than making the world a better place for others. It is so typical for people to look down upon those who don't fit the status quo of a good person. Most of these students probably didn't have enough darkness within them to even claim the title as a ninja. Hell some of them still have dreams and hopes for the future. The very thought that everyone here were merely kids who relied upon dreams repulsed him but they could be tolerated… for now that is.

Suddenly the sound of heavy footsteps rolled up the stairs. Dokuso looked over curiously to see whom may be coming, then his curiosity turned to annoyance pretty fast when seeing another fool running up the stairs. All energetic Juko came up the stairs! About to show off a cartwheel to hopefully gain respect among his peers with a better late than never entrance of his. But, his body gave out before he even gave his dramatic entrance causing him to face plant against the stone with a hard BANG! And, to put salt on the wound of falling right in front of everyone. Juko passed gas as well as he laid there on the ground. Dokuso smacked his own forehead and held his head down. Shaking his head in disappointment of whom his peers was.

Dokuso had to give his teacher a look, almost feeling sorry for the work he had cut out for himself having to turn these students into real ninjas. But, then again this class could make his teacher a laughing stock from having the students he had been stuck with.

Dokuso gave another spiteful glance at Juko, who was being helped by Shinzo. He spoke of sacrifice, fighting for someone else, and other things that made Dokuso's stomach turn. The speech was so typical for a person to say, honestly he's heard that line a million times before. “Sacrifice huh?” He stepped forward, his grin returned with a more sinister look to it. “Well then it's quite easy to say that if it is phrased the right way. But, let's rephrase it in a different way shall we?”

He said, pushing his glasses onto his face. “Are you willing to kill everyone you know and be labeled as a criminal so the village can have peace? What about taking the fall for a tragedy that you didn't commit? Or maybe how about isolating yourself where you'll have no one to turn to so you can protect the village from invaders who will pursue you till you're dead?” The questions he asked came at Shinzo hard wanting to see just what his limits are in self sacrifice. His definition of self sacrifice was jumping in front of a kunai to save a friend or dying in battle to protect the village. There are in deed various forms of self sacrifice that doesn't seem to respectable for some so Dokuso wondered if he would accept all forms of that sacrifice to show that he cared for the village.

“I don't know about you, but gaining power sounds waaaaay better than being the village scapegoat. Of course, that's what I think. " he finished with that. Throwing the boy's words back at him.

Shinzo listened closely to what Dokuso had to say, he brought his arms up and laced them across his chest as the boy spoke to him. As the explanation continued, a smirk began to creep up on Shinzo’s face. This is exactly the sort of sacrifice he had been talking about, such questioning may have caught others off guard but in this case, he had been expecting such questioning, maybe from the instructor rather than Dokuso but it mattered little. He wasn’t surprised. His heels twisted, turning his torso towards his interrogator, he lifted his right hand up to point towards his classmate. His words held a confident tone, a hint of darkness present as the eight-year-old gave his next utterance. “Exactly.” He lowered his finger.

“That is the exact form of sacrifice that I was talking about, the sacrifices that are the most difficult to embrace. If you cannot make such sacrifices then you’re not worthy of being called shinobi.” His smirk grew, it seemed as though Dokuso was on a similar wavelength in terms of what sacrifice connotes, though he chose to verbalise it more. His eyes caught the light of the sun, talking about such serious topics but finding at least someone in the class saw it in the same way he did gave Shinzo a fire in his eyes, the eyes which looked directly into Dokuso’s. At this point it was clear that Shinzo had already embraced the prospects of doing anything, even the most extreme actions. “This is the real world, not just some bedtime story, real shinobi make real sacrifices.”

He paused to watch Dokuso’s facial expressions as he gave his response. “I guess you could say that it potentially leaves you open to becoming a scapegoat, but if that falls in the line of duty so be it.” His eyes were still locked on his fellow student. “Your only reason for becoming a shinobi is to gain power? There must be something that drives you other than that, something pushing you onward? Unless, of course, you fight for nothing. In which case why are you here of all places?”

For a few moments Juko kept lying on the rocky ground, hoping that the ever-annoying sound of his alarmclock would free him from his nightmare and give him the chance to undo his last mistake. When after a minute or two nothing happened and the world merely shrugged at his hopeless efforts to turn time back he grunted. Aww.. ouch... that was not how this was planned to go.. He blinked twice and slowly pushed his body away from the ground as he simultaniously tried to peek at the other students in the class. Maybe... im invisible? Please dont laugh, please dont be laughin... Suddenly a hand came into view, piercing through the dark clouds of Juko's shame like a ray of light on a gloomy rainy day. Juko froze for a second as he was confronted with that unexpected display of kindness. Then with an energic motion he grabbed the hand and with the help of the unknown student jumped back on his feet immediately going into a superman pose. Thank you! Im Juko, whats your name? Despite his red face he tried to exude confidence and pride.
The result was disillusioning. The student who had helped Juko stand up, turned his head away from the same to face a different student that was standing a bit apart from everyone else. Confused Juko followed his look as the brown haired boy spoke of protection of the defenseless, of power and benefit. Doing whats best for the village, harm to yourself?...
Whatever he was talking about, Juko was not sure whether he could agree to it. This kid sounded more like somebody who was trying to become a superhero. He looked at the other person, the guy this whole speech seemed to be addressed at. He had dark hair and was wearing glasses that gave him, as far as Juko was concerned, a slightly geeky look.

However his face had that weird wicked look to it that spoke off somebody who thought himself smarter than his peers. For a moment Juko thought about interrupting the two squabblers and even opened his mouth to voice his objection, upon thinking about his not-so-epic entrance and the current focus of attention at the moment however he slowly slinked back into some of the empty rows behind the student that had helped him in the first place. Yeah, better not speak now lest i make everybody look at me and if they do theyll remember my accident and then theyll laugh and then ill have to punch everybody for laughing and i dont want them to laugh at me.... His yellow hair waved like a sashimono, a kind of traditional banner worn by some old clans, as he sneaked to an unoccupied seat and sat down on it.
From his newly claimed position he watched the students argue about a topic that he felt very insecure about, mainly because he apparently missed the beginning and thus didnt know what the aim of their discussion was. Other than getting everybodies attention. That worked better than my initial "attempt".
The foureyes was talking about killing people, criminality and attaining power over becoming a scapegoat. Yep. And here we got the typical Villain. I wonder whether it was his mother or his father that didnt hug him enough. Maybe even both? After Doctor Evil had stopped talking and looking all menacing at everybody the other boy opened up with a statement that he seemed to deem extremely witty; or so it seemed to Juko who had already stopped listening to the conversation and was rather fascinated by the texture of his wooden table. I wonder if this was made by someone with the wood element or just a regular carpenter. I bet once i become Genin ill be able to do the wood element too! He performed some of the few handseals that he knew under the table and made a slent 'poof' sound followed by another, slightly less silent, 'whooosh' sound. And then ill go bzooom and shoot them with my giant wood dragon oni sword! He made a minituarized imitation of a sword slash, aimed against the table, with the side of his bandaged hand.

There was something to be said about the class... they were young, vibrant, and ready for what the world had instore for them. However, they were ignoring the teacher infront of them, and Tamashii would attempt to speak but they continued going. Along with the student that appeared late. He'd only huff. Remembering his teachings as a child before coming to Leaf. This was interesting. This was... Alluring to the point he remembered how quaint the feeling was that laid within him. All those years ago before he would look to the students again before him, they needed an adequate lesson. "AYE! LISTEN UP! WHEN MY HAND GOES UP YOUR MOUTH GOES SHUT!", a thunderous roar from Tamashii as he lifted his right hand up to the air. Huffing out he would turn to the faces on the rock again.

He waited for them all to silence before beginning, "Right. This class is a discussion of The Ranks of the village. Boring, yes. However, this is something that you all will need to know going forward with your careers. The three branches of service for shinobi within Konoha are the Medical Branch, ANBU Black OPs, and Main Branch there is another service available, but only to those most loyal to the Throne of the Kage. Which is what I'm apart of... The Kage Guard.", nodding he would count the boys that entered the class in his head, 'Four? That makes this easier...', "Since there are four of you... and four branches... Each of you tell me what you know about a single Branch." and with that Tamashii would look between them awaiting for the first boy to speak up.

You all are doing good so far. Post to your hearts content just make sure you allow your classmates to get in on the conversation you have amongst yourselves. It is customary to allow everyone post once before you post again.

Also, there is a 72 hour Post time between my mods. If someone has not posted within that time I will skip you and you will receive a demerit.
Three demerits makes you fail the class.

As he watched the remaining kids arrive Yukio could see very clearly that this would be a rather basic lesson for them, most of them were fresh out of the academy and knew little of what the world of the Shinobi would have to offer. This would be their entrance into that world and would soon learn just how harsh it could be the very same way he had in his early days. With a nod to Tama in respect for what his was doing here he would move to leave the area speaking only as he walked away.

"I wish you luck with them, they show some potential but and i wish i could assist you in starting to bring it out of them however i have other urgent matters that require my attention thank you for the offer of the lesson this day however."

With that he left the area with a heavy sigh as his duty to his village called.

Well this certainly wasn't what he expected from his first class at the academy. He found it off that the class was being held near one of the village's landmarks, but learning this man's position completely took the cake away from him. He was stunned by the fact that they were being given a lesson by the Hokage's personal advice, but he did well not to show this and focused on what the lesson was going to be.

The young boy looked rather confused and surprised by the question asked of them by the veteran ninja. Why they wanted to be a shinobi and what made them think they were worthy of the title. This defiantly wasn't a normal way to start a lesson. When he first signed up, he was under the impression that the classes would be as simple as note taking and listening to long lectures. Physical activities of course, but only to practice their skills with martial arts and tools. To put it bluntly, he wasn't prepared for this.

What a shinobi is was a no brainer to anyone with common sense, but his thought process never went anywhere further than that for some reason. The only real reason he ever came up with was because he could never picture himself doing anything else. Unable to come up with a suitable answer, he kept quiet and listened to the others. The exchange between Shinzo and
Maru was not only a sight to behold, but also told him a lot about their personalities. There was defiantly a story in Maru's case that was for sure. However, he wasn't sure about Shinzo.

The next part was very do able for him. Rakutsu raised his hand in the air to get everyone's attention before speaking out loud.

"I'll talk about the ANBU. The ANBU Black Ops is the special assassination and tactical squad of the village and it's one of the branches that a shinobi can go into after being promoted into a genin." He said taking a quick breath before continuing on. "The ANBU conduct highly dangerous mission in enemy territory, protect the village from exceptional threats, and go after missing-nin. They are also responsible for a number of other things such as assassination, tracking, surveillance, and charged with watching over the leader of their village. In short, they do the dirty work that no one else wants to be responsible for."

After Shinzo stated his piece, Maru chuckled to himself deeply. It was not the kind of chuckle because he gave a good enough answer to satisfy the boy but it was like he was laughing at the utter stupidity Shinzo had shown. The idiot probably would be a babbling mess after seeing one of his teammates die before his feet, hell he doubted that the boy was even ready to kill. Maru would again adjust his glasses, holding his hand out to the boy as if he gripped the entire world in his bloodstained hands as he begin to speak.

“What drives me is the joy of becoming stronger than you losers so I can crush you beneath my feet like the little cock roaches you all are.” He said, his tone growing dark. “What I want is strictly to gain power, I'm not here to sacrifice myself for the good of this village. I'm looking out for myself and myself alone. You know what made mankind the dominant species on this planet? Not it's love or its sacrifices...It was cruelty, the endless potential to evolve and the endless potential for unbound cruelty that came with said evolution. You look deep into the human heart and all you'll find is selfishness.” Maru smirked, his glasses getting that glare to them as he tilted s head to the ground, birds fluttered away as they sensed the murderous intent that came from the lad.

He continued his rant despite the teacher, who had been rudely ignored by his own students, tried to get his class under control. “There are only prey and predator in this world, there is no in between... All acts kindness is met with cruelty. There are predators...and predators are ABSOLUTE!!" As he raised his voice the instructor finally grew a pair and took charge of the class. Yelling for all his students to shut their mouths which got Maru to turn to face him finally and relaxed. There was an awkward silence – then the teacher went on in his lesson.

Maru folded his arms hearing what the man had to say, which was not much but what do we know about these four branches– The Anbu, The Medical Branch, The Main Branch, and of course the newest branch...The Kage Guard. Maru’s grin would soon return as he fixed his glasses once again before tucking his hand away in his armpit. Listening to the boy who went on about the Anbu Branch which he knew at least some knowledge about. But it seemed to be a basic understanding of the topic.

When the boy stated his piece, Maru opened his mouth next “The Konoha medical corps is designed to fulfill the healing needs of the city, at home, abroad, in times of peace and in times of war, the Healing Corps keeps Konoha healthy. Depending on what you do that is, there are some medical nin’s that go to the Anbu if they meet the S rank requirements, others can do research on natural substances such as making medications or creating poisons to help with assassinations. But the most commonly known is that they treat patients or they clean up whatever is left.” He chuckled to himself on the matter. “Also to get into the crops you have to do a multiple choice test, an essay, and of course take classes which is heavily reliant upon what you know rather than what you can do. So its most likely meatheads like some people don't have the brains to follow through. Unlike me who uses their brain to think of better ways to power themselves. “ Maru flipped his dark hair confidently as he finalize his answer.

Although he disliked having to save other lives of others, one thing he did like was scientific research. He of course planned on taking a few classes on being a medical nin to know what chemical he should use to help his chakra increase and to help boost his strength by just taking a simple tablet. Or how what chemical he could create that would wipe out a mass number of people, maybe even find a poison that couldn't be traced in the blood. The very thought made Maru chuckle to himself as he waited to hear the other responses from his peers.

“You are an interesting one.” Shinzo stood for a moment, utterly bemused by what drove Maru to give such a dramatic speech. He shook his head, holding back a chuckle. Of course, he was not one to judge character and so at this point he turned and decided to ignore the melodrama. He pondered about what could have pushed his classmate to such an abhorrent disposition. It was best not to escalate things further, the eight year old thought to himself as he repositioned himself to look towards Tamashii with brows furrowed. This was of course the moment where the colour drained from Shinzo’s face. He had been so caught up in debate that he had lost the level of respect which he had been attempting to maintain for his teacher, upon watching him raise his hand, he froze and listened intently; he couldn’t allow anything to further disrupt his concentration.

‘Ranks, what a bore.’ He had thought coming to this location would mean that there would be something physical in the schedule. Shinzo almost allowed a sigh to escape his lips but managed to hold it in at the last moment. He would not allow his mannerisms to betray his composure, despite the fact that he wasn’t overly interested in the subject at hand. Having listened to Rakutsu and Maru, Shinzo decided it was time he spoke up.

“The main branch of service is normally comprised of the largest volume of Shinobi. There isn’t a specific speciality for the main branch, as the missions which they are tasked with vary dramatically between each contract. Missions given to the main branch can range from manual labour to close combat military missions.” He paused for breath. "Normally an academy student progresses into the main branch when they graduate and become a genin. Over time they can progress to chunin and eventually jonin.” He spoke as though trying to force himself to remember all the points that had been raised in his textbooks. “Main branch ninja can also be given duties such as administration and training the next generation of shinobi. But those jobs aren’t limited to specifically the main branch.” He kept his gaze on the teacher, hoping that his answer would be suitable and if he had correctly remembered what he had read.
