Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Leaves fled from the scarlet-cloaked teenager as he strode throught the sun-streaked Dawnbringer's Plaza. People pushed passed the boy, whose hair was by now completely red with the dye he'd applied the day before... not to hide his identity, but rather to allow him to get used to his new self. After Kosei's appointment at the Aesculapium yesterday, it was confirmed that there was something restricting his chakra flow, putting him on a normal level, with most other shinobi. If it hadn't been for his enormous chakra in the first place, he'd probably have lost his ability to manipulate it altogether. He guessed it was his father's bad-luck genes mixing together with his mother's epic-shinobi-hero genes: they canceled out. At least he wouldn't completely turn out to be a failure shinobi like his paternal ancestry.

Spotting his opportunity, Kosei walked subtlely towards a man walking the towards him, amidst the rest of the crown between the two beings. 30 feet... 20 feet... 10... 5...now.

Kosei bumped into the man of his interest rather harshly, enough to make him back up and wonder why the hell some random ginger kid was pushing him. Unbeknownst to the man, the teen had just claimed a prize: the man's ring, a nearly completely silver circle with a small emerald in the center. The man, annoyed yet unaware, pushed passed the pickpocket, and disappeared into the crowd behind him. "Heh." he muttered, slipping into the rest of the crowd, never to see the man again.

Or at least that was what he thought as the man took a snapshot of the moment, feigning ignorance. Clever boy, he'd nearly not felt it. Perhaps he would have to raise the issue of theivery to Santaru Rin and Souseiki, assuming he was still acting Sennin. He hadn't checked in on how that meeting ended, he really should do at some point.

The boy walked off with his red hair, a lamppost in the crowd. That ring wasn't important, it was only his wedding ring, he held it in equal accord. So many people breaking laws, so much potential skill in all of them. So sad that they were all yet so weak, and so reliant on those above them to continue to gain in strength.

Why they resorted to using their shinobi training for such pathetic things. That ones skill was far beyond the chicken theifs though. For even Kushin to have barely noticed the moments passing as the ring slipped off his finger it had been all he could manage to not automatically slice the boys throat and leave him standing there in disbelief. It would have been seconds before the blood had begun to seep out of the wound, long enough for Kushin to have been far enough away to not be suspected. Yet he'd managed it, and the boy lived.

Another puppet who hadn't realised that he had taken hold of the strings which now entagled his body of his own free will.

Wait a minute...

Kosei knew that man. He'd seen him somewhere before... but he couldn't quite place it, not at first. In the meanwhile, the teen turned around and began searching for the man once more. It wasn't to hard to see him in the distance, green hair and all, and Kosei easily picked up the pace. But where had he met him? As the boy pushed through the crowds to close the distance, he searched his mind, going through memories that he hadn't thought of in a while. To make sure that he didn't forget what happened here today, or so that he had something to show to Akkuma after today, he bagan recording the following moments with a snapshort video thingiemajig.

That was it.

Kosei caught up to the man, tapped his shoulder, and slipped the ring back into the man's pocket. He didn't need it anyways, he just had a question for the green-haired man now that he finally recognized him. "You know, you never told what you'd do to Akkuma if he hadn't woken up in that alley. It really looked like you were gonna steal his stuff... or kill him."

Oh, the hypocricy.

Of course, Kosei didn't plan on making a living by walking around pickpocketing unsuspecting civilians, but how exactly do you get practice otherwise? It was something that you couldn't just pick up, you had to practice it, and practice it a lot. Hopefully this guy would understand had he noticed his ring was relocated.

So despite the theft he had returned the object. Only after he returned it did Kushin recognise him as well, the hair had been Kushin's focus and that had been an error. So this boy was the one who had happened to slip into Kushin's pocket. How interesting.

As ANBU you're meant to be the one stopping crime, not committing it right? He said, though he didn't want an answer, the boy knew. Why is it that those the village trusts most are the most likely to be the ones they should trust the least? Another question which didn't need an answer.

I didn't know who you were so I was going to take this... he showed the video of the boy stealing the ring, all details were revealed and it even showed a second mirror image with the boys unique chakra signature ... to Rin to request she cramps down on crime. I'm sure your punishment wouldn't be terrible, but I can't imagine that would help you either. Especially as she, unlike me, would recognise you as one of her ANBU. I still feel it would be my civic duty to do so... The last sentence was said as though he was giving great and careful concideration to the idea.

Would the boy speak up and offer something, request it not be done and in return perform a favour for Kushin? Or would he simply take the knock on the knuckles, perhaps something worse should Kushin specifically request it be worse, which he of course would. Only the worst for those who didn't take his offers seriously.

The boy went suddenly silent. Kushin wondered what was going on in the boys mind for him to go so quiet. He wasn't simply going with what Kushin had said or suggested, but he wasn't outwardly denying anything either. Well, whether the boy was or wasn't an ANBU meant nothing anymore. He was going to be going to see Rin now.

Come on then. Lets go see Rin. He said casually and began walking off assuming that the boy wouldn't be stupid enough to not obey a direct order from a sennin.

[From this point on I'm posting every 2 days if you don't. If you don't post I'll assume you to be standing still and silent.]

I'll be posting actively from now on. Sorry for the wait, and I hope this doesn't cause anything between the two of us.

Kosei coughed away the awkward silence that had fallen over the two of them while the crowd bustled by. They were given only passing side glances before they were completely forgotten by passerbys. This man had somehow guessed, or deduced, that he was in the ANBU corps... which was something not easily done. As far as he'd noticed, Kosei had never met him but once, and that one time he hadn't been on duty. Could the man have seen him before? It was interesting, since this was one of the first days he'd ever been out in public with his new hair color. That surely would have thrown someone off if they'd only met briefly before.

The man started walking off, but, stopping him, Kosei called out to him. "Who are you?" he asked. It wasn't as much of an identity check as it was a status check. Anyone who could tell that he was ANBU just from his method of movement must have either been an ANBU himself, or someone with an extremely high [slash]power level[/slash] level of ability.

He'd introduced himself in the alleyway when the boy had done so. Yet apparently though the other could remember the face he was terrible with names. Not uncommon amongst non-shinobi, but for some reason it seemed like all shinobi automatically recalled peoples names so Kushin was taken back a little. Also as he was fairly certain that meeting one of the sennin would have been worth remembering. Stopping in his tracks he turned around, a bit of frustration showing on his face Isaki Kushin, Medical Sennin. His voice was blunt. He was taking this as stalling the meeting and wasn't impressed.

Though the boy still hadn't denied Kushin's assumption, which confirmed it in his mind, or it meant that the boy wanted to be thought of as a trainee. Either way it didn't matter. He pat his thigh Come on. he said, the pitch of his voice higher, much like someone calling a dog. He was sick of being stalled, though none would be accused of calling him a patient man.

"Hold Isaki-sama." a feminine voice called.

As it would turn out, there was another shinobi who had seen the entire thing and had been waiting for the proper moment to intervene.

"I believe you are mistaken, as it is the main branch who are responsible for policing the streets of Kumogakure, not the ANBU. I would offer to take this boy in to see the Main Branch Sennin, and process him through the proper channels. I am sure as sennin of the medical branch, you have far more important duties to attend to then walking all the way to the Sileo Tempestas."

Heh," Kosei grunted, inwardly laughing at a sennin's mistake. "You can't get into the Sileo unless you have an ANBU tattoo... everybody knows that." Kosei knew that the tattoo was updated every month for every ANBU member, as a security precaution, because, of course, he was an ANBU. It was natural for him to know the resoning for having the same tattoo redone dozens of times on the same spot of his body. "I can't get in, regardless of whether or not you think I'm an ANBU. I'm not. So unless you have a tattoo and somehow combine our bodies, we aren't walking in there anytime soon."

Almost as if on que, an attractive older female shinobi popped out of seemingly nowhere, offering to take Kosei to the Main Branch Sennin's office instead. He wasn't so sure about it being the Main Branch's job about patroling the streets (because if not that, what else were the ANBU good for?), but he did agree with it not being the Medical Branch's duty. He didn't say anything else, as he decided waiting and seeing what the Sennin would say would be the better decision.

Wow, this kid was a moron. When did he ever say going to the sileo? Did the guy think Rin was completely innaccesable to anyone other than ANBU?

And another person turned up, based on their knowing his name he assumed that this thread must take place after the other thread that the pair were in so is going to assume he knows that person's name. Haruka.

I've never seen the main branch do anything more than cause trouble of the streets Haruka, and since when did everyone think they could question me and laugh at the idea of being taken somewhere? Haruka, piss of. He had no time for this posturing. The main branch were basically without a leader at this time, so he would take the boy to Rin, the person who could do something. Whether this boy was ANBU or not he would go and see Rin.

This is the third time I've had to tell you, I know your name, and I'm going now, you have disobeyed and questioned a Sennin's direct order. Perhaps the ANBU will be the ones to deliver your punishment, or if the main branch get off their asses and do something maybe it will be them instead.

He turned and left, his head shaking at the stupidity of Cloud Shinobi. Ichita Kosei would receive the full punishment that he could appoint. Going to the sileo, don't make him laugh. Did the dumbass think that that was the ONLY way to speak with Rin. He could speak with her whenever he wanted, it was called a headset. It was called the Raikage Tower. It was called he was the leader of the medical branch and she was the leader of the ANBU branch and they had a dozen methods to contact each other.

Haruka's left eyebrow rose on her head and she placed her hands on her hips. It seems as though the sennin of the village are all people who have loads of time on their hands to conduct silly meeting taking away from the time they needed to spend on more important duties. Pickpocketing? Apparently more important than life saving surgery or actual murder and treason investigations. But silly Haruka, now she understood just what the leaders of the village did. Nothing.

Almost as quickly as things had escalated, they died off. Kushin had a bout with the kunoichi, and from the way it sounded, they knew each other. Inwardly, Kosei thought of how much bad luck he had to have for someone to stumble across their little meeting and have it be someone that Kushin knew. He assumed that there would be no good that came from this... but he was wrong. She got him to leave, with the exception that he now had to go with her.

Kosei turned away from the now retreating Kushin, to address the girl, Haruka... but she was walking away as well, and she didn't look like she was coming back. Whoever she was, she'd probably just saved his ass, and he wasn't about to give Kushin a chance to turn around and change his mind. Looking in both of the other shinobi's directions, he turned and went in a direction perpendicular to the others, towards... somewhere else.
