Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A large wooden message board hangs on the wall facing out at the bustle of the academy as students and instructors move past some checking the board as they go, others stopping to read something interest, check for updates, or to add something. Neatly organized it displays three placards and a few papers announcements to show available standard classes and upcoming special classes, a form to request a special class, a form to request permission to hold after school events at the academy, or a place to put advertisements.
Current Available Classes:

Standard Classes:

[legend="Looking for a class!"]Chi arrived at the academy early that day, hoping to get a head start! She wanted to get a jump on things if she was going to surpass her fellow students and be the best of the Genin, especially since that Kyo kid sounded really serious about his studies. She didn't want to be looked at as a liar by the headmaster, who she had told she would be the best. So with a gleam in her eye and pep in her step she walked up to the message board so she could see what classes were available. She remembered the headmaster telling her she needed one of ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu. Her thoughts were focused on maybe taking a taijutsu class, or perhaps genjutsu, but as she walked up the board she found herself attracted to the red marker for the ninjutsu 101 class. She grabbed it, placed a finger on her bottom lip (causing it to fold over) and headed to the class.[/legend]
[legend="OOC; WC:165"]I hope I did that right, I'm not really sure ;) If not let me know and I can change it. I'm assuming we have teachers to teach a class? lol I'm not sure, I just want to start doing classes ^-^[/legend]

As Chi picked up the marker a gust of warm air seemed to wash over her as she moved away and down the hall, the marker seemed slightly warm to the touch in her hand like she had been holding it for too long or it had spent a day or two sitting out in the sun. She thought it odd how she suddenly smelt burning firewood inside the academy, Bamboo charcoal maybe; others didn’t seem to mind or notice. Seeing dancing embers of fire here and there on her peripheral directing her to the class room seemed perplexing but at least it would cut down on her being tardy. She’d be able to make her way to the class easily

Oyochi ignored the hustle and bustle of the hallway as children and teachers alike walked through to their individual tasks. His pupils remained narrowed as he isolated his gaze to the varying placecards for classes. He quickly comcluded the nature of the varied color markers for the ninjutsu class. "Doton and Katon release classes are taken that leaves...Suiton, Raiton, and Fuuton...and regular techniques". There was nothing stated by the headmaster that a student could not enroll in multiple classes afterall. His palm reached upwards and remove the placecards for the non-elemental class, a black slip from the special class and a cloth charm. He would walk away silently afterwards...as he had no interest in taking the bare minimum requirements.

Kyo moved up to the Academy Message Board, cocking his head to the side as he looked over the classes. Taijutsu 101? Of course he would be taking that, the boy retrieving a wooden marker. Genjutsu 101? He had no interest in the stuff...until he remembered his spat with Oyochi. Genjutsu was dangerous, and if the class helped him defend against it then how could he turn it down? The cloth charm for it would be taken. Nothing else would really catch his eye, until he spotted the advertisement for the Guardian class. A smile spread on his lips as he quickly pulled one of the tabs free. That was what he was aiming to be of course, the boy looking over the board one more time before leaving.

@ Oyochi
As he pulled off the gray plastic marker it felt cool in his hand the marker didn't seem to impressive really but something was off about it he’d noticed after closer inspection. Pulling the tab of black paper off he’d think it odd it suddenly wrapped around his thumb as a ring made of black paper folded in an odd pattern. The cloth charm he picked up felt rather normal as he turned around. He’d rub his eyes and wonder why the ceiling lights slightly started to flicker in a pattern down the hall on one direction. From the White wooden marker a small ball of chakra the size of a marble would bounce out and down the hall in the opposite direction. A small ball of chakra seemed to periodically follow the pattern of leading him in another direction.

[OoC: Special class is pending a full class; Click here for the Ninjutsu Class or Here for the Genjutsu class.Technically you can only be in one class at a time but if you want to hold onto the markers I think it’s okay.]

@Kyo
The cloth charm in his palm didn’t feel very interesting but the black slip of paper moved out of his palm and folded itself to wrap around his thumb in an intricate pattern. Feeling an invisible hand touch his might make him jerk his hands away until he felt like someone was holding his hand and pulling him in a direction. If anything the thoughts of the school needing a map instead came to mind since it was slightly creepy. He figured this was going to lead him to class but he really didn’t know what to expect.

Running full spend at message board Masaki dodged around students as he ran. Finally reaching the message board taking a good look for class that are open and noticing that a class is full.Dame it! The taijustu classes are full. Letting out a breath of frustration cursing his luck, kept on looking for a different class.Let see what else they got, ninjustu that can work. After thinking over the advantages and disadvantages he then notice that there are 3 stone markers left. Picking up the yellow marker, Masaki like his hair standing up and felt more energy with a more speed he continued to look for the class with a yellow marker hopeful he find it soon.
(OoC: This how you do it right? Lol first time)

Sabaku had just left the Headmaster's office when another student ran by, nearly hitting him.

He must be late for something, why else would someone be rushing through the halls like that..., Sabaku thought to himself.

Walking over to the board he waits his turn to see what classes are available. Sadly the special classes and taijutsu are already taken. But no matter, he could wait for them to open up. Looking to see what else was available he spotted ninjutsu and genjutsu. Sabaku knew little about genjutsu so he naturally chose Ninjutsu over it. He reached past the boy who was still standing there, as if he was dazed by some mystical force, and grabbed the white stone and begun to head towards his class.

Let go of my hand
Is it time to go?
I'm not ready to turn my back on you yet
I'm not going to let you down
Kimi
Kimi made her way through the halls, keeping mostly to herself. She brushed her hair from her face, and glanced towards the wall. The board was about half full of strange looking markers, lined up evenly under what she could only assume to be class names. She squinted, leaning closer in a futile attempt to read the words. Resigned to her fate, she pulled on her black-rimmed, circular glasses, and quickly looked over each one with curiosity, trying to place what she knew of each. Having finished the daunting task of reading, she quickly whipped off the thin frames, and stuffed them not-too-gently back into her violin case. She felt a little embarrassed to admit she really didn't know a whole bunch about the classes, only having the vaguest knowledge of what each was. She quickly shrugged, however, figuring that the whole point was to give an example of what those did. She looked at the board again for a minute, before reaching out and picking a marker. She looked at the class name again. "Genjutsu." she tested the name quietly, listening to the way the letters formed a word, and that word formed a thought. Her first class. She was both excited, and nervous as hell. What if the students found her constant squint a reason to not talk to her...She shook her head. It was better than having to wear her glasses constantly, she figured. And, worst case scenario, she just spends all her free time alone with her violin. Not the end of the world, if they asked her.
Bridges will fall from under us
But we are strong
We'll get through this
The earth will open up
And try to pull us in
But we'll get through this

Another day, another class. Kei scanned the listing board reading each of the notes. Looked like there was a chance for him to make a bit of cash if he wanted. He'd have to keep that in mind. Ninjutsu, he thought he at least had a handle on that... Well he figured he had a handle on Raiton at least. Taijutsu... He figured that was where Sho would be. Taijutsu class wasn't looking like a winner at the moment. His green eyes paused over the general/guardian class. That could be interesting, but he wasn't sure enough of himself to really start thinking of a major career move like that yet. No... The Genjutsu class. Why not? It was his worst subject after all. Might as well strengthen up that Achilles heel. Whoever Achilles was... Regardless, Genjutsu 101 would certainly do. Two of the cloth charms hanging under the class notification seemed to be missing. Looked like some people had beaten him there. Not surprising, as he wasn't exactly in a rush. He snatched the third charm marker and headed to the classroom.

Returning from the ninjutsu class that had ended before he got there, Sabaku replaced the white marker and decided to just go with Genjutsu 101. He didn't know very much about Genjutsus and thought he could use the knowledge. And besides, he was going to have to do it anyways so he might as well do something he probably wouldn't like right away. Grabbing a cloth charm he felt a little uneasy, He hoped that he might perform well in front of his other peers. He didn't want to become embarrassed for failing. Shaking the feeling of doubt from his mind he quickly made his way towards the new class, hopefully this time he would make it before it was over this time.

Shujinko didn't have much difficulty navigating the cluster of students, not even trying to spot familiar faces as she aimed right for the message board. Retrieving a small slip of paper that read 'ninjutsu'. A Subject she needed to work on, Shujinko was great at Taijutsu, unfortunately she was a bit lacking in ninjutsu. So she could use all the help she could get with the subject. One never knew when such a thing would come in handy.

@ Kimi, Kei, Sabaku
An odd glowing mishappen baloon shaped orb seemed to pop up in front of each student and float leisurely down the hall... It seemed totally harmless as it lead the way and didn't foretell of what was to come in the class ahead for the students.

(OoC: For papertrail Link to the Genjutsu Class.)

@ Shujinko.
A few seconds after getting the marker the young girl watched as something fluttered out of the marker for the class and something seemed to crackle in the air in the form of an arrow made of dust leading down a hall. At a juncture another arrow pointed out in another direction. Blinking several times the words flashed ‘Don’t be late’ underneath the arrows guiding her to a class room for her class, it explained why there were no numbers on titles on the doors for classes now for classes. She's feel a slight nudge from an unseen force pushing her towards the direction indicated. Was it telling her to follow or pushing her towards possible doom?

[legend="Looking for a NEW class!"]Chi was excited to take another class here at the academy. She walked to the message board that she went to before and looked over the available classes. It seemed that the ninjutsu classes were all taken, but she had already taken one anyway. No one seemed interested in the tai or gen classes as much. She decided since she wanted to learn Taijutsu, so she could be like Junko, she took a token for a Taijutsu classes and ran with it, following whatever trail would appear like when she took the ninjutsu one.[/legend]

Hayato, after leaving the headmaster's office, went in the direction that had been indicated to him to find the message board. He found it in short order and stood there, looking at his options, and thought to himself 'What am i best at? What do i need to work on? What would be most useful?'. He decided that his first lesson should be in something familiar, so that he didn't feel too overwhelmed right off the bat. He decided on taijutsu, having practiced often with the rejected weapons made at his family's forge. He felt that in this class at least, he wouldn't be too far behind any of his fellow students. His fellow students. The thought pleased him enormously, he was finally here, in the academy - he gave his head a slight shake, this was no time to be distracted. He reached out to the board and plucked one of the wooden markers, and examined the markers for the other classes. The genjutsu class used cloth strips as markers, he thought that next to taijutsu, he would most want to learn genjutsu - the power of illusions - the most. He mused on the possibilities, 'If an enemy couldn't see you coming or thought you were something else, you could get in a perfect opening strike while they were defenseless'. He looked down at the taijutsu marker he still held and pulled out a black permanent marker and wrote his name "Hayato" down it in clear bold characters, 'It doesn't matter if they can't see me coming if i can't deliver a solid enough hit'. Now firmly decided, he began to look about for a sign or any indication that might give him the location of the class.

As Chi and Hayato tried to find the class they'd hear someone running up to them. A man in a red gym sweat suit barked out. "Ay! You got them markers... yeah we don't do that fancy guide to the class stuff. Trigger's on the board. Anyway come this was for a real class. One where you learn through sweat and tears of desperation trying to achieve a stronger body and better prowess in Hand to... oh wait you just need to do the introductory class... well that one's good too... This way." he began as he guided the two down to the Taijutsu 101 class. He'd ramble a bit about training back in his days when the Head Master actually taught. Swinging a bamboo kendo stick absently as he went he'd stop next to their destination. Click here for the Taijutsu class for Chi and Hayato

[legend="Looking for a NEW class!"]As Chi waited for the marker to do something fantastic, another kid appeared. It was someone she didn't recognize, and so she watched him for a moment as he debated on what class to take. She put a finger to her lip as he thought to himself. Then suddenly someone came up to guide them to the class. Chi followed the stranger to the class as she started to get excited thinking about what she was going to learn. Hopefully she could learn something to make Junko proud the next time they saw each other.[/legend]

Shin walked nervously past several people to make his way to the Wooden Academy Message Board. His eyes skimmed slightly with a deep sigh and a breath of courage his focus set on a black paper with green writing over it. He nervously raised his hand to pull a tab from the page. He glimpsed around in a slight panic to make sure no one saw what tab he took for fear of being picked on again today. Without anyone seeming to have noticed, he made his way off in a his normal fashion of his face looking downward covered by his scarf. As he wondered off he began to question himself..could he really pass this class let alone ANY class. With the worrying setting in he began to panic and sweat a bit. " Ok got to pull it together I can do this.....probably..maybe." he muttered to himself off to his next stop.

Shin would be surprised as the tab of paper in his hand wiggled slightly as he walked away. The message board was a common place and a student looking at it didn't cause much of a scene even after taking the tab for the class. He would probably find it odd as the paper snapped rigidly in his hand before folding itself around his finger. A small black strip streamed off reading in green, Class in Progress. Although the strip of paper seemed to point in a direction Shin would have the odd option of deciding if he wanted to show up to a class late or pick another class.
