Acting Main Branch Actions [MB Sennin]

[Uchiha Takeshi]

Takeshi grabbed the paperwork from his office desk, it seemed that the newly promoted members of the Main Branch were actually running around and not doing much work, that needed to change. They had just qualified from the Academy and couldn't expect to get by with the easy breezing of life. As he looked at the list of names that he had he scrolled down the list with the pin and began writing each of them out. It seemed that they would have to learn the hard way what life really was about, though of course they could take this to their advantage or they could see it as a punishment. This was one of those times that they would have to make their mind up on what they were doing.

Karasu and Jirou two seem to work well together, so I will keep them that way, lets assign them let's see this mission.

Thinking to himself he began to scribble down information onto the scroll assigning them missions each as he signed the seal he found himself grabbing the next one, in total his paperwork had three missions being assigned out to those that considered themselves ready in the village, missions like this where to find which of them were ready to take the next step in their careers or which ones needed to be held back. Finishing up the scrolls he pressed on the intercom as he allowed the secretary to come out and look to him waiting to hear what needed to be done for the Sennin.

"Lord Forth, what is it you need?"

"These missions need to go out to the Shinobi that are on each of them, I also have one more request as well, please can you summon Matsuo Hama
to my office I have a task for him that I want to do in person if you can?"

"Of course, as always not a problem at all"

With that, the Secretary took the scrolls from his hand and walked out of the office, shutting the door behind her as she allowed him to stay in the small office by himself, leaning back in the chair he took out two small crystal classes before getting the decanter out as well. Placing his hand on the glass he allowed himself to turn the crystals into ice as he then poured the whiskey into them. Swirling his one around he took a sip from it. Waiting patiently for his summon to arrive.

Mission information: The Main Branch Sennin decided it was time to get the Shinobi of the village out on duty and actually doing work, as such the first assignment came from these two. Paired together the mission for Karasu and Jirou is a simple one, a Merchant Caravan that was last spotted in the Outer village zone has gone missing and has failed to reach its way to the leaf gates. As expected of Shinobi inside of the Village they are now tasked with finding what has happened to the caravan and returning it to the village with the merchants making sure they are safe and the goods safe for trade with the village. Mission suspects to run into Shinobi resistance so be prepared.

Mission information: Rumors of a tomb being located somewhere in the Valley at the End have come to the surface, as such the Main Branch has been assigned the goal of finding out if there is the truth behind these rumors and finding out the information as well bringing back anything of value to be curated inside of Leaf and protected. With low risk, the tomb could still hold traps or might be empty but the main focus of the mission is to gather as much information and anything that could be considered to be of value to the village back home safe.

Mission information: As always Main Branch falls onto the duty of guarding the citizens of Leaf. With rising reports of theft, vandalism, and trouble in the Oak District. It has come to the attention of the branch to send a Shinobi to investigate these rumors and see if there is any truth behind them at all, as such they have assigned a Shinobi of A-Rank skill to get to the bottom of this and see what of these rumors are true and what of them are considered false accusations.

As always, he didn't dress much like a ninja. Dress pants and shirt today, the vest and jacket gone or simply not a part of every outfit he wore. Both black with grey pinstripes, it matched the bowler hat he wore just slightly askew atop his head, favoring the right just a tad more than the left. As always, that aura preceded him, though not nearly as saturated as it must be when in combat, it might cause a feeling of uneasiness centered around the top of the stomach if it caused anything at all. He paused a moment, adjusting the small silver trident cufflinks of his before folding his hands behind his back as he entered the room.

"Fourth." He said by a way of distinguishing him from the current Hokage, giving the man a nod. As always, it was all he said, the fact that he'd been summoned a reason enough alone to not waste the words in asking what he was summoned for. He was here, ergo he would find out. At least, that was how the world should work, if efficiency was valued over redundancy.

 

[Uchiha Takeshi]

Matsuno Hama, the current serving Headmaster of the Academy, one of those Shinobi that when needed could bend to do what needed to be done. As he glanced towards the man he considered his next words carefully before grabbing out documentation in the form of folders, each one a current profile of the Shinobi working inside of the Main Branch. Though he was only temporarily looking after the branch he still had to make sure that the day to day running of that branch was up to par with the expectations that he had. He also slid the second glass across the desk with the Whiskey in, not sure what the man drank but he would soon find out. Offering his hand out towards the empty seat for the man to take it.

"As you know Hama, I am currently acting as the main branch Sennin, while assigning missions to the members of the Main Branch and seeing which ones come out on top and which ones fall short of all expectations. As such I have been considering my options on how to continue training, while most are just Gennin it still feels like we are falling short on expectations, experience, and general knowledge of what is actually required of them. Most of that simply lies in the fault of their training methods, and maybe some of my own failings on that front as well I hate to admit."

Taking the glass from the desk on his side, he drained the liquid from it before decanting more into the glass, the small pause gave him time to consider all options. He knew full well that he was currently aiming to sort out the main bulk of his workload right now and without pause he allowed himself to pick the conversation up where it left off his attention towards the man in front of him.

"I will be soon relieved of this position, and stepping back into my role as Hokage advisor, as such I want stable foundations for the person that takes my station. With this is a consideration, and currently, you serving as Headmaster, I am expecting regular lessons for both students and genin alike, to teach them the truth and make sure they are up to scratch for this real world. However I understand that hard work and effort shouldn't go unrewarded, and to make that impact you need to step up to serve as the Main Branch Sennin's right hand. You can correct me if I am wrong of course?"

The question was a false one, as he had already made his mind up and not much would change Takeshi's mind once it was set on a clear path.

"As such you are promoted to the rank of Head Jounin, to serve as the right hand to the main branch and to develop anyone that falls under the main branch into worth Shinobi of the village. Missions, Lessons, all the hard work that is required from both of us see you more than fitting to fill the void position. So what do you say? Want to set up or want to sit as a Jounin forever?"

His expression remained unchanged, a nonchalant and almost detached demeanor that was betrayed only by the near clinical observation of his gaze as he paid attention not just to the Fourth but also to smaller details that normally might be ignored. His brow pinched slightly, furrowed somewhat toward the center as the man before him went into detail about what was needed, the Jounin considering the opportunity being offered and what it might entail. His gaze landed on the documents that the acting Sennin drew out, as if he were making a note to either get copies of his own or otherwise read the ones that were already available. When all was said and done, however, his answer was as succinct and direct as it always was.

"Easily done." He said simply, absentmindedly reaching up to adjust his collar to something more comfortable, though he smoothed it down once he was done. "I will need a few things to do so effectively. First and foremost, permission to learn the secret language of the ANBU. If I am to train students and Genin to be ANBU potentials, then I'll need to better understand how they operate up to and including amongst themselves on a mission. I'll need similar for what the Mednin may use, assuming they do - or at least an understanding of what my authority as Head Jounin will be when compared to the different ranks of Mednin. I'll also brush up on learning the available jutsu for each Branch."

Takeshi learned back in the chair as the response he got was one that he hasn't considered needed, but the man was always like that. Calculating and cold, maybe it was just part of his demeanor it didn't matter as long as the work that he needed to get was completed in an orderly and timely fashion Takeshi had no issue with the way the man carried out the task. After all, the completion of something could often be just as important as the way it was done, but the outcome would be the same for all of those things.

"I will get the approval you need to learn the Language of the ANBU, for training with those branches you will report to both the Medical Sennin and ANBU Sennin. I am sure that they will be able to give advice on who to study with and get you up to date with the operation sides of everyone and what their roles entail fully. In terms of what your rank will equal you will be equal to those of the Medical Cheif and ANBU Captains of the branches respectively. So please remember though your going to be the face of the Branch with a lot more interactions than myself or the next Sennin so do your best. But I don't need to remind you of that much at least, you been around long enough to know how politics plays out when you move up the ranks. So what you say, fancy the shot?"

He waited in the chair to see if he had managed to fulfill the role of Head Jounin for the next Sennin. Hama seemed to be confident enough to take on the task, and while calculating he did have the knowledge and understanding of how the world works enough to make sure he did the duty that was expected of him. Coming into it he already seemed to want to get the most out of understanding branches so Takeshi really had no doubt or problem right now in making this guy take on that role.

"Easily done." He said simply, nodding as if to make sure his acceptance was understood just in case there were any doubts about his answer. "I've met the Med Sennin. It will be.. interesting seeing him again. I am not familiar with the current ANBU Sennin but that will change." He said simply, "The methods I use to teach may give results, and it may not. We'll know as the prospects rise through the ranks, assuming that they do not run into the ceiling of their potential too early."

He considered for a moment the concepts he would be attempting to relay to the students, while thinking of those that already filled the ranks past student. If he was displeased, intimidated, nervous, or even hopeful it didn't show on his face. Thinking back to the training he had received by a long dead friend, he made a mental note to ensure the inevitability of that would be understood and accepted by those that graduated from the Academy with classes that he was at the forefront of. Even if some needed a direct demonstration for that to happen.

Takeshi listened to the man speak for a few moments, it seemed that everything was sorted. It seemed that the man was true enough to his nature and gave the truth even if it would harm his own cause. He allowed a nod to come to him as he listened to the man speaking for a few minutes before leaning back int eh chair it seemed that they both understood each other and the intention that was behind both of them. He could understand that and make sure that everything went smoothly ahead without issues or problems.

"Then it's sorted. I will let you get back to work, and make sure you contact the other Sennin, after all, things need to start moving in the right direction. As for the files in this office, as your position of Head Jounin dictates you will now have an office next door to this one, it is smaller but that is just the way the world works."

"I will make sure you have all the same folders and documentation that I do as well as the latest information on all those inside of the Main Branch. My decision is to make sure that you become the main point of call moving forward of course. I have to admit that right now you and I are going to get things back on track, that is with regular missions, lessons, exams I want to make sure it's smooth sailing for us. Now unless you have any other questions I will let you get started on your work"

Takeshi would make a hand gesture dismissing the new Head Jounin to take up his role in those few minutes. He had finished his job with Hama and the guy needed to get back to work in his eyes, after all, there was work for them both to do. With the missions handed out, and the tasks are given it was clear that everything had been sorted and organized between them. He would pause a few minutes before making sure there were no other questions that needed to come his way, if nothing else needed to be spoken between the two of them this conversation was completed the work done.
