Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

He didn't know what to feel about today. He has no mission today, so he has some free time today. However, he didn't expect that his free time involved him waiting in front of a fancy restaurant located in Susukino District while wearing a casual blue jacket, white shirt, denim blue pants, and purple boots. It didn't make him feel better as he could see a film crew was behind him.

Long story short, there was a new TV show coming to Kumogakure called "Blind Ninja Dates" and as the title stated, it involved some shinobi getting involved in blind dates. He was not interested in reality shows, so he tried to ignore that strange trend despite it was almost Valentine's Day. However, he couldn't ignore it for long when he learned that his sister signed him up to the show without his knowledge. And what's worst was that Yuri was involved in the plot just by pretending to be him. Her reason behind it was to give him a date for the day of love, but even he knew that this was a bit forceful just to take care of his well being.

He would scold both of them about it, but he knew he can't cancel his participation now. Just doing so may cause some lawsuit problems and he didn't want to give his family more financial problems than ever. So there he was, waiting at the entrance of a fancy restaurant that the film crew arranged for the show. He would try to calm down and prepared himself to meet his date, but he knew it wouldn't be easy since there were cameras following him like crows. He just has to greet her and escort inside to a table already reserved for them. As for money, the crew already took care of it as they already promised to reimburse when this was finished.

"Damn it. What am I doing? This is just a normal date. There's no bandits or evil shinobi coming after me. I seriously need to calm down and get this over it." He was thinking this as he starting to feel sweaty. Most of his life was focused on his shinobi career and his family, so even he was nervous at what was to come.

But the real question on his mind was his potential date. He was still 13-years-old and just possessing an artificial body may have some problems when it came to his age. He just hoped it's not someone weird like the ones he met in previous years.

*A few weeks earlier*

"Blind Ninja.. Dates?" she echoed with a bit of disbelief in her tone. Slanting her expression, the Chuunin cupped her forehead and shook her head. "She said I'd do that? Sounds like our Main Branch Sennin... sure. Mhm, yeah, I'll do it." The teen girl hung up the phone and let out a tired sigh. Apparently, there was a new hit TV show in Kumogakure that aimed to broadcast blind shinobi dating. It sounded like an entertaining concept for sure, but Suika, at this point in her life, had no real interest in dating or making a spectacle of her shinobi career. Prior to this phone call, the idea of signing up for such a program seemed laughable, but the information that the producer shared to her on the phone compelled her to agree. This wasn't really her choice, it was an order from her superior and master, Kagetsu Yuii. According the producer, the station approached Yuii to be on the show forgetting she was a already a taken woman. Instead, as a sort of representative for herself, she chose Suika, her apprentice, to take her place. What was her motive for electing her? Who knew, really, but it didn't really matter. If this is what the woman wanted, well, Suika would do just that.

"Ugh, I don't like this..." she grumbled as she dragged herself to her closet. As she examined its contents in her self-pitied daze, she was quick to shake it off as a certain dress caught her eye. "You know what... if I'm going to do this, I'm going to do this right!" she exclaimed as she pepped herself up. Excitedly snagging a dress that was gifted to her from a seamstress she once did a mission for, Suika prepared herself for Blind Ninja Dates. Besides, the girl was once a performer before she was a ninja; it was time to bring her stage persona back to life.

*Present*

"It's showtime."

Walking into the fancy restaurant in her decadent, floral dress, a soft breeze blew against her dark hair as lights shimmered around her. This was all fabricated, of course. Trying not to roll her eyes at the zany producers and the stalking film crew, she soon met her mysterious suitor. "Yuu-san?" she questioned as she approached a casually dressed fellow at the entrance of the establishment. Yuu was not someone she regularly talked to, but she did remember him from their Chuunin exams. He was a bit younger than her, too, she recalled. Not that it mattered too much... obviously this wouldn't end in a true love connection, right? The fifteen-years old gal beamed a pleasant smile at the boy.

"Hello, Yuu-san,"</B><i></i> she corrected her previously puzzled greeting with a much more formal one. <B>"It's been a while since the last time I saw you." The camera crew zoomed into the pair by the instruction of sparkly-eyed producers, especially after she recited those words. Were they digging for history? Dirt? Was this a hint to the viewers that these two were once well-acquainted for, well, reasons?! Suika held in an amused grin as she imagined what the film crew were conjuring in their heads. This was definitely going to be an interesting night.

Suika would wait for Yuu's response and allow him to guide her to their seats. She'd let him take the lead as she opted to go with the flow of the night, for now. "I wonder if he was coaxed into this, too..." she mused as she continued taking in this televised phenomena.

"Yuu-san?"

Yuu's eyes widened as he heard a familiar voice that he didn't hear for a long time. Turning around, he saw a young woman wearing an orange formal dress decorated in orange, yellow, and gold roses. He was surprised not only to see someone from his Chuunin Exams but just seeing her dress made him a bit embarrassed at his own attire.

"Y-Yeah. Suika-san, right? I haven't seen you for a while ever since the Chuunin Exams." He tried not to blush as he approached her. Damn, those Blind Ninja Date people were somehow giving him an unexpected partner for this. While he was happy to see her again, he was still uncomfortable at this whole reality show gig. Especially that he could feel that they were watching him meeting with Suika. "Come on. I managed to reserve a table for us for tonight."

While he did say this with a confident tone, he was aware that the film crew was the one who made the reservation. It was even more uncomfortable as the film crew followed them as they enter the restaurant and escorted by a head waiter to their said table that was located on the right side of the restaurant. As he sat on a chair, he wondered what he should try to discuss something. Besides, they were filming a reality show and he has to do something to impress the producer while avoiding not to embarrass himself on camera. His sister mentioned she will watch it when it airs and he was not going to do something that makes him the laughingstock of the household.

Thankfully, he has time to think as a waiter approached them and asked for their orders while giving them some menus for them to find something to enjoy. As he read it, he was a bit conflicted at what meal he should take. This was not a ramen stand or ice cream bar that he usually visited and just buying something like ramen would be frowned upon by the producer. So for his sake, he decided to try ordering Nikujaga and cream stew.

And after waiting for Suika to order her own meal, he knew he needed to talk about something. He would ask her if she was coaxed in this crazy reality show, but he knew the film crew would stop him if he did so. So for their sake and his own sake, he decided to try a simple topic for now.

"So, Suika-san, what have you been up to after the exams? To be honest, I didn't have the chance to know you ever since and I know this is a good time to do so." A lame topic, sure. But since he and the others were too focused on the exams, they didn't have time to have a casual chat and get to know them better. So since Suika is here, he would try to get a chance to do so.

(OOC: Just in case you don't know what Nikujaga is, it's a Japanese dish of meat, potatoes, and onion stewed in sweetened soy sauce.)

It seemed he remembered her, too, as the boy acknowledged her by name and shared where he last saw her. She almost chuckled at the disappointment she saw in the producers' eyes; that wasn't as juicy a story as they had hoped for. Following Yuu to a neatly decorated table, Suika sat herself and, with fine etiquette, equipped herself with what was presented for her. It wasn't in her nature to be so showy with her table manner, but it was a skill she learned through countless meetings with lesser nobles and politicians in Kumogakure's diplomatic subbranch, so why not? Plus, it would translate well on camera that shinobi, known for their terrifying strength, can also can be refined and delicate in their public displays.

Going through the menu, most of the entrees did not call out to the teen. Many of the dishes were salt heavy... and, quite frankly, Suika's tooth always leaned toward a much sweeter side. Should she forsake the dining custom she was just upholding and submit herself to her cravings? Would she be Yuii's apprentice if she decided otherwise? As soon as the waiter arrived, she recited her request with a simple smile. "I would like the dessert menu, please." As the waiter went to retrieve just that, she focused herself on the young Chuunin before her. Based off his mannerisms, Yuu looked a little nervous. Suika didn't blame him; it was hard to feel natural with a film crew examining your every move, especially as major bits of this would inevitably be broadcast in every Kumo home. She was tempted to take lead of the conversation, but he broke the ice before she could. She expressed a friendly grin.

"Do you want the short answer?" she joked. Growing a bit more relaxed, she continued. "It's been busy for me, that's for sure. Battles here, paperwork there... this is a welcomed change of pace." Her Chuunin career thus far had been extensive, there was no realistic way for her to describe all that she had failed and accomplished since her exam. She felt Yuu would relate to that all too well; Kumogakure wasn't shy when it came to piling work on their shinobi, especially Chuunin. "How about you, Yuu-san? Anything new since our last exam?" A hint of mischief crept into her words. "Anyone new?" she playfully winked. She was not serious by that at all, but they were on a television show. For a moment, teasing the audience and Yuu really amused her.

"Dessert menu, madame?"

"Thank you." she replied with a nod. While deliberating on which sugary pastry to order, she awaited Yuu's response.

When he saw her with the dessert menu, he just mentally facepalmed himself. Why didn't he thought of that? However, he quickly got his answer when he still felt like he was still being watched, namely from the film crew. He wanted to make sure that he wouldn't embarrass himself on camera, but he just felt he just digging himself even deeper just by not thinking about his actions. Even he wanted something sweet after his Nikujaga.

Menu aside, he began to listen to Suika's response to his last question, which he could guess how she got her hands full with new responsibilities as a Chuunin. He would feel the same as he was also overwhelmed with his new duties such as guarding the gates, aiding the CPSS, and most importantly, teaching the whole new generation of shinobi. He was aware that he was still 13-years-old, but he never knew he got so many responsibilities under his belt.

He would try to ask her questions next, but the last part of her words made him a bit speechless. Thankfully, it only took him a minute to regain his composure in order to speak. "A-Anyone? Not exactly. I doubt I can see someone lately. I'm just busy training and teaching classes lately. Although, I did learn some new elements and other things." He had to admit, he was very bad at spicing up a conversation, especially talking right in front of a camera. He could hear the producer groaning at the fact his answers were a bit lame.

He wanted to recover this conversation a bit, but he was a bit more nervous, trying to recover his calm composure as Suika was busy reading the dessert menu. "W-What about you? D-Did you see anyone lately?"

As Yuu explained his rather busy life at the academy, Suika temporarily reminisced about her time working for the next generation of shinobi. She did well teaching, as she did with most tasks she set her mind to, but being an instructor, she found, was very exhausting. It drained her, and she didn't find that line of work too interesting. She recognized the need for good teachers, which made her admiration level for Yuu grow in that very moment, but the calling was definitely not for her. "The academy... sounds fun! Good on you, Yuu-san."</B><i></i> she replied with a grin. "And new elements? Which type of Ninjutsu?"<i></i> she added with a spark of intrigue. The kunoichi also loved learning more about battles and techniques, so she was genuinely interested in hearing what the boy had to say.

Hmm, oh yeah, this was a date.

Discretely catching the eye of bored and dismayed producers due to the nature of their conversation, Suika did her best to stifle a giggle. Man, they really were looking for some good, dramatic material. Before Yuu could continue with his own query, the waiter arrived to take the young teen's order. "Yes, I'd like the Kasutera, please." With a bow, the waiter went off to place the order. Kasutera was a sweet sponge cake, one that Suika had never tried, but was excited to taste for the first time. Hopefully it didn't appear rude that she'd dine on dessert while the boy had an actual entree, but the kunoichi knew what she wanted. She could not wait to try it.

Turning her attention back at Yuu as she sipped water, she almost choked when he shot her mischievous question right back at her. The camera man focused closer on her reaction; would they get the juicy details they so desperately sought? "See anyone?"<i></i> she asked, genuinely thinking about the question. Has she dated anyone? No. Has she had crushes? Well...

Suika blushed.

Her reaction was part contrived, but also held some truth. There wasn't anyone specifically that she's "seen", but there were points when, deep down, maybe the idea didn't sound too bad. However, being a high-ranking member of KSIS, Suika also knew how to control her outer demeanor; she wanted to tease the producers, too. "Maybe there was someone..." she traced her finger shyly on the table's cloth, <B>"or maybe not. A lady never kisses and tells, after all."<i></i> She confirmed with a wink. Oh yeah, she did kiss someone once, right?

"Well... I learned Water and Fire. Oh, and I learned Storm and Plasma as well!" Despite his positive tone when he answered her question, all he could hear was more groans from the producers from afar. This was going nowhere for him in terms of entertainment. Right now, he was mentally covering his face his shame. He wondered what Yuri or his sister think of him when he saw him on TV. In any case, he knew that becoming an actor or a singer was not a perfect future for him.

However, he did manage to recover as he could see Suika's reaction when he shot her question back at her. Sure, this allowed him to recover his composure and hopefully give the producers something to scoff about. But just hearing this made him curious at her love life after all. "Well... I don't need you to tell me. Besides, it's already obvious that anyone can get a crush in their inner work circle. In fact, I can guess you got a crush in your branch or during one of your missions. Or is it someone you already knew from your academy days? Is that right?"

Yuu then gave a small grin, hoping that the producers would get something out of this. As long they were happy to this turnout, he might be relieved that they won't do anything to make it more "interesting".

But unknown to him and the waiters of the restaurant, a small yellow spider crawled through a restaurant window as it walked towards Yuu's direction.

“Those are pretty neat jutsu to learn,” she complimented, finding Yuu's excitement for the shinobi arts endearing despite the resounding groans emitted from the television's producers. Two ninja were on a blind date... what did they expect? When your life revolved around work and training, it was no wonder that would be the main focus of the conversation. Though, Suika didn't care; she continued the convo at the rhythm she wanted.

"You seem very curious about my love life," she noted as the Chuunin posed his intimate and borderline prying questions. With an almost smug grin, she poked some fun back at him instead of answering his queries head on. Was Suika hiding something? "A little too curious, if you ask me. Why, Yuu-san," asked the kunoichi as she leaned in closer to the boy, her face being at least a foot apart from his, "are you afraid my heart belongs to another? Is this blind date going that well for you?"

After letting an intense, awkward second pass by and as the producers hypnotically leaned in to Suika's charade, the girl started to laugh. "I'm just messing with you." Her demeanor relaxed back into her previous state; she was done teasing Yuu for now. As the servers approached the duo with some food, the spiritually attuned teen's senses went off. She had an uncanny feeling that someone unseen, or something, was approaching them. It felt non-threatening, but she couldn't visibly point out where this unknown presence derived from.

"Your dinner is ready to be served," announced the waiters as the held out their silver trays. The producers, at this point, were very distracted capturing the type of cuisine that was about to be served. If something was coming, then no one would really expect it.

Well, that backfired quickly. Yuu's face turned red after Suika asked if he was worried that her heart belonged to another boy. "W-W-Well, I'm not. I-It's just... Uh..." Sure, his girl was Kei, but having that thought with his sister was completely creepy even for him. However, he sighed in relief when Suika revealed that she was just joking. "O-Oh, right... I knew that... Hehe..." That was the last time he would tease anyone like her.

Thankfully, he managed to calm down once the server approached them with silver trays containing their ordered cuisine. "Yummy! Suchi smells something yummy!" He has to agree, the restaurants' meal did smell yum-

Hang on, neither Suika or some of the film crew said that. More importantly, was there something furry on his lap?

Confused, Yuu looked down and uncovered the table cloth that was covering his lap. When he did, his eyes widened to see a familiar insect.

"S-Suchi?!"

Yuu would like to scream in shock at the sight of one of his contract spiders, but considering he was in front of the camera, all he could do was a quiet, yet girlish scream before he covered the purple-eyed spider with the table cloth. Upon realizing this, he looked up towards Suika and said, "Oh, don't worry about it! I-It's just that... I accidentally dropped something on the floor. Can you give me a minute?" He then ducked down under the table to confront his trouble-making Contract spider. As for the film crew, the producer became confused at the boy's reaction, yet he was somehow intrigued by this sudden turn of events.

"What the heck are you doing here?! Aren't you training with Sakushi and Yuri back at the lab?!" Yuu quietly asked the young spider.

"Yes. But Suchi is sad that Master Yuu isn't there. So Suchi wants to help you with that human lady!" Suchi happily answered as he jumped up and down.

"But as a Contract, you're not supposed to be here unless I summon you. Also, you might scare the other patrons if you stay here!"

However, Suchi's eyes became to release some tears and said, "But Suchi wants to help! Suchi wants to be a great Contract to Masters! Please, let Suchi stay!"

Yuu quietly groaned at this. Comparing to his brother, Suchi's reckless actions reminded him too much of Yasu and considering his insistence of staying with him, he knew it would not be easy to convince him otherwise. It was even more awkward when he has to speak to his spider underneath the table away from his blind date, who may overhear his conversation.

After getting a bit flustered with her tease reversal, Suika grinned with satisfaction; Yuu was easy. At the same time, this whole scene was pretty cute... Yuu was a good guy. It was actually refreshing, especially considering how many men, shinobi or not, had a tendency to be buttfaces. Yuu was good-natured, and Suika accepted his presence as a positive. She was happy to dine with him despite the stalking camera crews that hovered over them.

As the food was served, the boy yelped, shoved his table cloth downward, and went under the table. He claimed he dropped something, but the exchanging of voices below her proved otherwise. The girl raised an eyebrow; who was under the table with Yuu? She had a few options in this particular scenario. She could just ignore it... perhaps Yuu didn't want to be exposed with whatever he was attempting to conceal? Another option would be to quench her curiosity and investigate. The latter wasn't necessary, but it did sound more fun than just casually chatting while producers tried to force reactions out of them. Holding her dress in place, Suika met Yuu under the table and instantly gasped.

"Huge spider..." she mumbled as her eyes met the fuzzy creature's eight. She gulped and took a second to compose herself; how did she feel about insects again? Her gut instinct was to swat at it, but, at the same time, it was oddly adorable. She smiled. "Hello!"</B><i></i> she greeted with a quiet friendliness, taking this whole peculiar turn of events pretty well. Suika was masterful when it came to playing off her encounters with the unexpected, especially as a shinobi in KSIS and someone who was often exposed to the supernatural. This would be no different.

The kunoichi waved her hand.

<B>"I'm Suika. Who might you be?" While the kunoichi was busy partaking in this exchange, the producers were going wild above them. Were these two shinobis really going there? Were their attractions so compelling that they just couldn't take it. They wanted to see what was happening under that table... they had to. Slowly kneeling and zooming in, the camera man prompted the waiter to reach for the table cloth. What hot, juicy action would they capture?!

Yuu was sweating as he tried to think of something in order to bring Suchi back to his mother. As much he wanted to let him stay for his sake, he didn't want to go around and accidentally scare the others due to his appearance. He would try to use Genjutsu to hide him, but he knew it won't affect the cameras that would record his every movement.

But just as he would find a solution, Suika appeared right in front of him as she gasped at what she saw. For Yuu, he was completely speechless as he was caught off-guard by her attention. But for Suchi, he happily waved at the kunoichi. "I'm Suchi! Master Yuu is Suchi's contract master! Suchi happy to meet you, Sukika!"

Knowing that he won't able to bluff his way out of this, Yuu sighed in defeat as he gently grabbed the young Contract Spider. "It's "Su-i-ka, Suchi. And yeah, he's actually one of my contract creatures. Though, I suggest you don't mention this to anyone, especially to the producers! If they or the restaurant staff finds Suchi, they will mistake him as a cockroach and scare some of the patrons here."

But just as he could continue, he noticed the table cloth was moving. Confused, he used his Rinnegan to see behind the sheet, but he gasped. It was the film crew attempting to get a shot of the couple. Panicked, Yuu quickly hid Suchi in his jacket just as the camera saw them together under the table.

"O-Oh... Yeah, I think I found what I'm looking for..." Yuu sheepishly lied as he pretended to pick something up from the floor and put it inside his pocket. "Thanks, Suika-san!" He prayed that she would realize what he was doing, hoping to save face as he tried to climb back up to his seat. However...

"Found it? What did Master Yuu found? Let Suchi see!"

Yikes. He still needed to find a way to hide his spider immediately.

"U-Uh... What I meant to say is... that... I want to see what I just found!" Not a very good way to correct himself. "Um... Suika-san, can I be excused? I need to wash my hands..."

As the little fuzzy spider jovially introduced himself and dubbed Suika 'Sukika', the Chuunin could not help but to chuckle a bit. Suchi was adorable. As Yuu coitirrected his contract friend and warned Suika not to let the others find out, Suika nodded assuredly. "No worries, Yuu and Suchi. Don't forget, we're shinobi. I definitely know how to make people look another way." With that, Suika's eyes glowed as an ethereal ring formed around her finger. As Yuu attempted to recover both physically and verbally, Suika signaled for him to skedaddle.

As Yuu rose, he'd witness both the film crew and the restaurants patron looking around with muddled faces. "Where did they go?" one asked as he looked around. "Why are we in front of the restaurant?" the other echoed with slight panic. The kunoichi, being a genjutsu master, cast False Surroundings, a low-leveled illusion, unto every person in the restaurant excluding herself, Yuu, and Suchi. She altered their perceptions about the environment they were in, which provided ample time for the boy and his contract beast to glide into safety. Once Yuu made his escape, Suika would dismiss her ring and her spell whilst innocently biting into her dessert.

"Mmm, so tasty!" she complimented aloud as she blushed. "Send regards to the chef!" She acted as if nothing had just happened, because it didn't... did it? "I wonder when Yuu will be back from the boy's room," she muttered as she took another bite. At this point, the camera crew was still confused.

"Boys room, right..." one confirmed as if he just had a bad trip. They shook it off and continued their production.

Thank goodness for Suika's Genjutsu. He was confused at the production crew's confused reaction, but he realized that it was his blind date's doing, which he smiled in relief. Because of her, he managed to sneak back into the restroom no problem and snuck Suchi out through the window. However...

"No, no, no! Suchi wants to stay! Suchi wants to help with nice lady!"

He sighed in dismay that he was still adamant on leaving. This was his own good and he didn't want one more problem coming out from Suchi and his antics into his blind dinner date. Sure, Suika was okay with his presence, but he doubted he could say the same with the other patrons. "Come on, Suchi. You know I can't do that. But tell you what, I'll try to grab a few snacks after this and I'll let you meet Suika then. Sounds good? Besides, Yuri and Sakushi might already know that you're missing and you don't want to worry them, are you?"

Seeing that he has a point, the spider sighed and said, "You're right. Suchi don't want to see Mommy mad."

"Good. Be careful on your way home."

The spider nodded as he turned around and about to walk home before Yuu washed up and left the restroom. But once he did, Suchi stopped and hummed for a second.
----

Meanwhile, Yuu quickly ran back to his table and sat back down in front of his date. "Sorry about that, Suika. Seemed like I ate some bad food before I got here." He sheepishly chuckled before he also enjoyed into his own meal. "Man, that is delicious! Guess I didn't miss a lot, huh?"

Unknown to him, Suchi was still watching his master and his date through the restroom door's glass window.
