Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The cheering from the crowds was deafening. That was to be expected, seeing as how he was at the single largest event in recent human history.

Ginjiro had been wandering the lands for some time now. Learning, watching, waiting, and biding his time for the right moment to re-enter the world. When he'd heard of the tournament, he had initially been skeptical. Not one to trust the system, he'd disregarded the whole thing as a shame, a ploy, and a plot. Then he heard that Konoha would be competing. Instantly, his mind changed.

He'd been living off the land, secluded from much of society, and had yet to hear of the great news. His home, Konoha, had reopened the great Phoenix Gates to its brethren once more. When he'd heard the news, he couldn't help but shed a tear in joy. He had to see it for himself: the new generation of the Will of Fire. He'd spent the last few days in Tea Country trying to gather any information that he could. Who was the new Hokage? What had happened to the Samurai that had held his home hostage? How soon could he try to return home? There was still the issue of his brother, Ayatsuri Katsu, but that could be sorted in time. He was sure that, given the chance to speak with a representative of Leaf, he'd be able to get things sorted out. They'd help him restore his clan's honor, and drive out that parasite of a clan dictator. Surely the Ayatasuri Clan still was remembered in the Land of Fire as a worthy and respectable people.

The Ayatsuri puppeteer was very interested to see what sort of warriors Konoha boasted of these days. He was practically bursting with excitement, even though his calm exterior showed no signs of favoritism. To the world at large, he was a young foreigner that looked a bit rough around the edges. By now, it had been more than a decade since he'd left — rather, been forced from — his home. He remembered it all too well: Katsu's violent takeover of the clan, followed by the painful rehabilitation process of his right arm, followed even more closely by the Daimyo's crushing attack on his home. It had all happened, one after the other, in such rapid succession. But that was all in the past, now. With so much time having passed, he was anxious to see what the new generation was like.

When he'd heard the first match was going to between a Leaf Shinobi and a Sunan Puppeteer, he thought the gods were finally smiling down upon him. He thanked his Kami brethren for such an auspicious gift, settling himself in for a fun and interesting match. However, when the match had begun, he'd instantly felt his stomach drop out from under him.

'No...that's not possible...'

And yet, there he was. He was acting different, but that was him. He recognized that face anywhere. But, that was impossible! His mind was spinning. His silver, metallic, right arm clenched tightly, threatening to crush the armrest of the seat between his mechanical fingers — the ones that man had forced upon him. The Ayatsuri puppeteer couldn't believe it: this Leaf Shinobi was fighting his older brother! Or, at least, a man who looked just like him.

"No, calm down..." he spoke softly to himself. He needed more information. He couldn't just jump to conclusions. "Oda Yatamaru, huh? Kami, why do you mock me so?"

NPC: Kagyaku Enzeru

Enzeru normally didn’t take things like this seriously. The talents he’d spent his entire life honing were not up for show so other people could ooh and ahh at them. They were for his protection, and the protection of those he loved. But he’d been given some time off for this specifically, and decided to utilize it mainly because travel suited him. Being tied into a single place for too long was bad for one’s mental state, he felt. So here he stood, in an arena, as people around him cheered and booed, oohed and ahhed.

His blue military uniform was clean and pressed, and his black hair was neatly brushed. He looked every inch the military man he was at heart. Until he recognized one of the two fighters in the ring below. The brown headed man in samurai armor who’d invaded the home he was a guest in and attacked the two he’d been speaking with. True, it allowed him the chance to kill a long rival of his, but it had nearly resulted in Enzeru himself dying.

He runs down beside another man paying close attention and screams as loud as he can. ”Yatamaru! Fuck that Maki guy up good! Kick his ass!”

Honestly, it was sort of a relief to wander off on his own, away from his teammates who still hadn't really warmed to him. Tatsuya figured at this point it was either a personality incompatibility, or that he was still on bad terms with his Moonlocked cousin until he could get back and sort that out. And he wasn't really able to do so just yet.

But he could head off to keep tabs on this rather important event! One he likely would have been attending as a competitor himself if Mist were still a village. Which...was a dispiriting thought, but one he couldn't really help having.

Louise was curled up in his coat pocket, having already investigated the smells of Tea Country, and was content with the new experiences after having gotten a bit antsy staying in one place for so long. It was driving him a bit up the wall too, honestly, so this excursion was for the best.

And he could scout things out! He wasn't really sold on tea as a beverage, but every country had decent bars and alcohol could always serve. So he could go and see the matched while lightly buzzed, which was honestly the best way to watch fights if you could possibly arrange it. (Which you almost always could if you tried.)

It was somewhat random which fight he picked, but really he was hoping for a heated match. A close, contested battle was much more engaging than a one-sided slamfest. Especially when you neither knew nor cared about anyone who was actually entered.

Yet he stopped in the stands on his way up to a seat to take in the action briefly. It was easier to follow the flicker of handsigns and understand what was afflicting the contestants from an outside perspective, so he felt like he had a generally good grasp of what was going on. But one of them...

Well, Tatsuya wasn't typically a man of snap judgments, but for some reason he felt he really didn't like that guy.

It's not like I ever met him and he did something to piss me off. Really, now.

And he didn't have anything in particular against Leaf, but that one guy...

"Maki, huh?" The name was not familiar of course; neither was. But... "Yes. I hope he loses."

Might as well root for the Sand nin, since he was staying in Sand. Right?

Ginjiro was spacing. He couldn't think straight. He couldn't watch anymore. The people around him cheered and jeered, favoring one contestant or the other, but he had suddenly lost all interest in the match. Getting up from his seat, a grave and worried look on his face, the metal-armed puppeteer didn't stop walking until he had exited out of the arena and couldn't hear the clamor anymore. He needed to think. To reflect.

"It's been a while since I've been to Wind Country...I wonder if they still have my face on file at the gates..."

Topic Left.
Sorry for the topic necromancy, and sorry for having dropped out of this thread way back when. Life had gotten hectic. I need Ginjiro, and what he saw here, to stay valid, though. We'll RP (without me going inactive) again, I promise!
