Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

Terra Shift
A puppet technique that has their puppet gradually alter their immediate surroundings over the course of the battle, effectively changing the terrain subtly into their favor.

Information
Prerequisites: B-Rank, a weapon with the Puppet damage type

Rank 1: Upon activation, changes either the Terrain or Visibility modifiers by 1 rank in the users choice of direction. At the end of each round, one of these moves an additional level in the user's choice. Actions performed with the puppet during this time cost +15% Cp.
Rank 2: Upon activation, changes either the Terrain or Visibility modifiers by 2 ranks in the users choice of direction, or both by one rank. At the end of each round, one of these moves an additional level in the user's choice. Actions performed with the puppet during this time cost +10% Cp.

Special Action: While maintained, the user may pay 1.5 AP and the initiation CP cost to dispel a single 'Arena' type jutsu active in battle. This action cannot be used the same round it was cast, and does not apply to any S-Rank techniques.

Rank 1 Cost: 600 Cp, 300 Cp/Rnd
Rank 2 Cost: 750 Cp, 375 Cp/Rnd

Note
- Lasts up to thirty seconds.
- The weapon used with this jutsu must be equipped upon casting, but this jutsu may be maintained even if the user swaps to a different weapon.
- Alterations made to the terrain last even after this jutsu is no longer maintained.

Paradise Invite
A tricky technique that creates a strong-looking barrier that upon being attacked, breaks down and reveals a trap, imprisoning the target immediately.

Information
Prerequisites: B-Rank, a weapon with the Puppet damage type

Rank 1: Blocks 1350 Damage. Upon being attacked, if not completely destroyed, the attacker makes a Ranged check; failing this causes them to be encased in a prison with HP equal to the barriers remaining HP.
Rank 2: Blocks 1685 Damage. Upon being attacked, if not completely destroyed, the attacker makes a Ranged check; failing this causes them to be encased in a prison with HP equal to the barriers remaining HP.

Special Action: By paying +20% CP, this Taijutsu may be armed as a Trap item; the AP/CP cost of this jutsu replace the usual trap costs, but otherwise, follows other Trap rules. This counts as both a Puppet Taijutsu and Trap Item. The puppet itself is considered the Trap for targeting purposes.

Rank 2 Cost: 680 Cp, 340 Cp/Rnd

Note
- Lasts for thirty seconds.
- After completion, requires ten seconds of cooldown.

A puppet mechanism that emits a comforting aura through soundwaves, allowing those who feel its healing beat to shrug off minor injury.

Information
Prerequisites: B-Rank, a weapon with the Puppet damage type

Rank 1: Upon initiation the user chooses one of their puppet-type weapons (equipped or unequipped, it does not matter). While active, this weapon will heal up to two targets for 530 Hp. Resting while affected by this jutsu recovers an additional +0.5% Max HP and CP per 2 AP spent Resting.
Rank 2: Upon initiation the user chooses one of their puppet-type weapons (equipped or unequipped, it does not matter). While active, this weapon will heal up to two targets for 660 Hp. Resting while affected by this jutsu recovers an additional +0.5% Max HP and CP per 1 AP spent Resting.

Special Action: By increasing the Cp cost by +20%, the user may have an additional puppet-type weapon join in on this jutsu. This increases the targets by +1, and prevents this jutsu from being unwillingly dropped until all weapons maintaining it are Broken.

Note
- Lasts for thirty seconds.
- Weapons used with this technique cannot be used with any other technique while this Jutsu is maintained. Cannot be used with Broken weapons.
- Weapons used with this technique becomes a valid target in battle (they have no stats or HP, and cannot dodge), and being hit with an attack is considered a called shot against it with a +15% chance to have its rank increased.
- User may rest while maintaining Audio Medic.
- Receives Ranged bonuses, but only up to +25%.

Volatile Shield
A tricky defensive mechanism, while appearing as a normal shield - each time force is exerted it shoots volts of electrical energy to those attackers, weakening them as they try to break through defense.

Information
Prerequisites: B-Rank, a weapon with the Puppet damage type

Rank 1: Blocks up to 1350 Damage. If attacked by melee/ranged accuracy, a Ranged check is made; attacker's failing this check deal -5% damage for twenty seconds. Cannot stack.
Rank 2: Blocks up to 1685 Damage. If attacked by melee/ranged accuracy, a Ranged check is made; attacker's failing this check deal -5% damage for twenty seconds. May stack twice.

Special Action: By paying +20% Cp, the user may perform this technique with an unequipped puppet-type weapon. However upon this barrier being destroyed, the weapon has its called shot: weapon penalty raised (may inflict the Broken rank) and is considered dropped, requiring the user to pick it up before it can be used with any action. Using this special action allows this jutsu to be cast without being equipped with a weapon.

Shortcircuit
A handy technique that enables the puppet to release a burst of disruptive chakra; although weak as a standalone attack, this technique is designed to disrupt, and in other cases, control, other devices in battle.

Information
Prerequisites: B-Rank, a weapon with the Puppet damage type

Rank 1: Makes a Ranged check against the owner of every trap active in battle. Victims who fail have a single trap set by them (chosen at random) deactivated.
Rank 2: Makes a Ranged check against the owner of every trap active in battle. Victims who fail have up to two random traps set by them deactivated.

Special Action - Hack: By paying +20% CP, rather than disarm the trap, the user may attempt to take control of it. If successful, the user gains control of the trap (and takes on any costs), but if it fails, the trap is triggered and the weapon used with this taijutsu has its called shot level raised (this action may be inflicted with the Broken rank). Traps taken control of count towards the user's limit of active Traps; if not triggered by the end of the round, the user may freely change its triggering conditions at the start of the next round.

Rank 1 Cost: 5454 Cp
Rank 2 Cost: 680 Cp

Note
- May only target traps the user is aware of. This jutsu will not trigger any traps it targets.
- Does not apply to the user's own traps.
- If the special action is taken control of, the user of this jutsu and the original trap owner are 'reversed' for the purpose of triggering conditions.
  • For example; a trap set to trigger when its 'original owner' was attacked by the 'jutsu user' will now be reversed to activating when the 'jutsu user' (now the new owner), is attacked by the 'original owner' (now the enemy).

Shooting a burst of pressurized water out of a pipe located somewhere on the puppet, the puppeteer can control whether to make this stream more powerful or more accurate.

Information
Prerequisites: B-Rank, a weapon with the Puppet damage type

Rank 1: Strikes at +1 Accuracy, dealing 1,425 damage. Deals +15% damage against Barriers.
Rank 2: Strikes at +1 Accuracy, dealing 1,780 damage. Deals +15% damage against Barriers.

Special Action: By paying an additional +30% of the cost, the user may have an unequipped puppet-type weapon increase the power of this jutsu, adding one of its augments to this attack. Using this special action also increases the damage bonus of this jutsu vs barriers to +25%.

Atomic Core
The puppet drops a series of bombs on the battlefield with enough force to blow a small hill. The puppeteer may get caught in the blast, however, if they don't have a Defensive Puppet to protect them.

Information
Prerequisites: B-Rank, a weapon with the Puppet damage type

Rank 1: Strikes the user and up to three targets, dealing 1,210 damage at -3 Accuracy. Those affected by the blast have a 21% chance to suffer -3% Max HP per round, for three rounds.
Rank 2: Strikes the user and up to three targets, dealing 1,510 damage at -3 Accuracy. Those affected by the blast have a 28% chance to suffer -3% Max HP per round, for three rounds.

Special Action: By paying an additional +25% of the cost, the user may have an unequipped puppet weapon protect them from the damage they would have taken. However, the user suffers a -2 Dodge debuff for the remainder of the round, and the shielding puppet has its called shot level raised (may inflict the Broken rank). Cannot be used with Broken weapons.

- Damage over time does not stack with this jutsu if used multiple times.
