Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Becoming part of the medical branch had its own requirements, and while skill and technique were important, it was also important to renew or review all knowledge. As such, the head nurse, of whom he was under supervision during his part-time training in the hospital, decided to launch a training seminar for the new nurses with regard to first aid scenarios. This would be a week-long training, with each day focusing on a particular first aid practice. What goes in the training are the philosophies, techniques and hands-on practice. Each day, they will have a senior supervisor who is experienced at them and would lead the training.

As such, while he took notes of the brief lecture on today’s first aid scenario – CPR, Kiri was a bit restless knowing that he was the only guy in the small group of nurse trainees in the room. And having to do actual CPR was already bothering him as it meant that he would have to lock lip with someone. Ah, but he would quickly ignore such thoughts as the lecture ended and he had to pay attention at the demonstration. First was the dummy patient.

Kiri watches intently as the nursing staff demonstrated the placement of the hands on the chest of the dummy patient. He would take note of how the location was just above diaphragm area. From there, it was important that the pressure was uniform in each attempt to do the chest compression. Around thirty times, and to be effective, it was important to pump hard and fast at a rate of 100-120 per minutes, faster than one per second. It was a bit technically to think that way, but it would make sense. After all it was important to get the heart beating once more by force and to possibly expel any form of blockade in the airflow. As such, a proper stance where one can properly apply the correct pressure was necessary.

Now, to continue, one must tilt the head back of the patient and lift the chin. This would allow free flowing of air across the passage. Next would have them pinch the nose. By making sure no other passage was open, they could put more pressure for the movement of the air along the bigger channels, such as he mouth. Thus, you would then cover the mouth with yours and blow until you could see the chest rise. Give it along two to three breaths, with each breath taking around 1 second. If nothing happens, you go back to pumping and repeating the procedure. It was important to remember that patience and determination are essential in saving the life of the victim.

Given that short demonstration, Kiri would gather along with the trainees and each would be given a chance to perform the move on the dummy. Each one would be given criticisms and would perform again. It was important to learn from one’s mistake, so they did the basics again and again until they were able to perform it on instinct… at least on the dummy. In one scenario, they would see how fast the trainee would react, reach the dummy patient, observe and do the quick diagnosis as listed in their charts, before attempting a CPR. This was important because not knowing the situation could aggravate the victim’s condition, such as if the victim had fractured ribs.

After the training with just one participant, the seminar would then make them all group into partners. Here, they would segregate the task amongst themselves and see how teamwork would come to play. In a group of two, one will be the person doing the chest pump, while the other would be the one blow air into the mouth of the patient. This, of course, must not be done at the same time. With the same timing as explained earlier, it was necessary that right after the pumping, the blowing must begin. And the procedure must go on until help would arrive or the condition of the patient becomes better.

At first, Kiri was rather feeling a bit awkward when they had made him to be the patient. He wasn’t really comfortable with someone pressing on his chest, but it was light. It was only to make sure each and everyone would know how to find the location on a real person, and not on a dummy alone. The next would make him blush as the other nurse would pinch his nose and their lips would almost come into contact. Seriously, they chuckled at his expression when he was redder than a tomato. They would cycle, each taking the different positions, and Kiri was just a tomato for his partners were both women and pumping on the chest… just grazing along the bossoms, were rather arousing, so to speak. It didn’t help that they would compliment his gentleness or tease him some more after that.

With a brief note-taking near the end of the day-long seminar, Kiri would bid them farewell, hoping he could get rid of the blush on his face as he would be meeting up with Osu later to report on today’s training.
