Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

the doors of the ANBU branch with talk of raiding outside of the village, seems some unsavoury individuals were looking to steal and sack caravans moving to and from the leaf village and this was something that could not be allowed to stand. Still feeling the pain of his recent confrontation with Takeshi, Yukio stood at the exit of the Uchiha household closing his fists and flinching as a numb sensation shot up his arms it was uncomfortable to say the least however it would not stop him from doing what needed to be done.

Walking to the village gate as he had done so many times before he has already gathered information in advance of leaving having a general idea of the points caravans were being attacked from. Waiting for him outside of the village was a similar caravan to the ones that had been the victims of these recent attacks Yukio agreeing to ride with this one in hopes he could catch the culprits out when they attempted to commit yet another raid.

Hopping into the back he leaned against the wall of the carts interior a sigh escaping him as he placed his arms behind his head, the Hyuuga getting comfortable for the long ride ahead as it would be some time before they reached the marked areas on his map. Informing the caravan ahead of time of the dangers they were about to face Yukio had still requested they act natural so as to not give away they were under the protection of a leaf Shinobi.

If he had anything to complain about it would be the walls of the cart made it so his vision was restricted to seeing out of the back of the cart, everything else being blocked so if he was going to pick up on anything going on outside it would be through his sense of hearing. There wasn’t much he could do to improve that it was not like he had anything special about it however he had made an effort to ensure no audial jutsu had caused permanent damage to his hearing thus allowing him to keep them in peak condition for times such as this.

With this in mind he closed his eyes, letting his other senses take over as he allowed his mind to wander throughout the trip away from the village. For the first time in a long time he was getting some respite before his mission truly began if anything he was thankful that he could move at all considering the events that had transpired between him and his teacher, being alive at this moment in time didn’t feel like something that had come down to luck however it was because Takeshi wanted him to live and that was the end
of the whole thing.

Feeling the bumps in the road was enough to make him flint from time to time and it was a sensation he would rather not get used to, honestly, he shouldn’t have even accepted to go out on mission yet but his drive to keep doing his duty far outweighed his desire for a hasty recovery. Safe to say if this mission went sideways it would be some time before he could recover completely but that was a risk he was willing to take. In his eyes he was fighting fit and ready for action though only time would tell if that was truly the case.

Time passed quickly with his mind preoccupied in thought the cart suddenly coming to a halt snapping him back to reality as he tilted his head from left to right pondering the most likely cause of this sudden stop. The answer was more than likely the obvious one however considering other possibilities never hurt him before so why should it now. This would prove to be a pointless endeavour in the end however picking up raised voices and the distinct sound of footsteps moving down the side of the caravan.

Carefully moving himself into a crouched position to focused listening to the voices he could hear in an attempt to distinguish them from one another, there were some he recognized the caravan leader shouting from the front with a few of his followers muttering between one another but there were a few distinct voices he could not recognize a unique and commanding tone being followed in their wake.

“Let’s make this easy shall we, enough blood has been spilled on this road so simply give what we ask for and we let you walk away without consequence.”

It was a difficult situation to be in for all he had found who he was looking for those who travelled with the caravan had made things more complicated than they needed to be if he struck out now there was risk they would take hostages or simply outright slaughter anyone who got in the way. There was also the present issue that those around him prevented his use of area of effect jutsu or at least nothing high level without the risk to those he’d promised to protect.

With this in mind it would become a matter of stealth and subtle disposal of those who stood between him and the completion of his objective. Moving carefully to the side of the covered cart shifting himself between the supplies it carried he waited, restricting his movement to only light breathing and the tilting of his head from side to side tracing the footsteps as they moved to the entrance to his place of hiding.

It was their shadow he laid eyes on first appearing in his vision as a slight blur in his vision before the hints of their figure was before him a short time after, a rugged man more than likely living a less than spectacular life up until this point however that was of no concern to the Hyuuga it was not his nature to feel pity for those who acted in such a manner to solve their problems. As he stepped into the back to investigate what they were transporting Yukio struck grabbing him and covering his mouth bringing him down after his arm was firmly around his neck.

“Now listen to me, I need to know a few things and if we can get along. Now rather than speak and warn all your little friends I’m in here instead we’re going to use a simple system even you can understand nod if you understand me”

He got a slight not in response and for all it wasn’t much it was probably all he was going to get at this point considering the condition he was in. He could feel him trembling in fear and going from the sweat going down his brow it was clear they hadn’t been expecting anyone to give any form of fierce resistance. With a slight sigh and a twitch of his arm he had but one question for the one he’d captured.

“How many of you are out there? tap your foot against the floor and give me a number then we can be done here”

There was hesitation from his new found friend but after a quick tightening of Yukio’s grip around his neck the request was granted shortly after five slight taps against the hardwood floor giving him the answer he desired a smile creeping across his face. There were fewer than expected and now he could begin his work.

“Thank you for your cooperation, I can assure you this will all be over swiftly and for your assistance to me in these matters I will make it quick for you as well”

The man’s eyes widened but had no time to react a quick motion from Yukio’s arms as the sound of a crack echoed through the cart his neck snapped as the Hyuuga dropped he body to the floor rising to his feet as he stretched bringing his hand to his chin as he pondered looking down at the body with a simple nod with him dead it would be suspicious if he did not return to his companions soon. Bringing his hands together Yukio used his transformation jutsu to take the form of the man stepping out the back of the cart as he looked down the caravan.

Before him was just as he was told, five more men had gathered the travellers holding them by the lead cart discussing amongst one another how to go around taking the supplies as the now disguised Yukio going them one of them turning to him. “Did you find anything out of the ordinary back there? It feels too easy”

A nod in response followed “Nothing we may be blessed with an easier time taking everything here and getting out before someone does come along and give us trouble” With they begin to move to the carts Yukio lagging in the back waiting for them to gain some distance from the hostages before raising his hands. This would be more than a mission to the Hyuuga he had been waiting to try this technique for some time as light green streaks of chakra glided from his hands a few words exiting his lips “Eight Trigrams Heavenly Guard”

Arcing beams of chakra formed around him a great sphere of streaking light as each impacted into the backs of the five men while covering all those who stood behind him. A multipurpose technique but given his current condition one that took a tole on his body, he could feel the tension building in his arms, his breath becoming short and sharper as he watched the men fall to the floor from the sudden strikes.

He gave them no time to recover quickly breaking the sphere as a drop of sweat falling down his temple as he formed a series of hand seals shards of mirror jutsu forming in the air around him as he impaled those who lay before him any hope of them getting back up fading away into dirt and mud in which they now lay.

With the job done he turned to the caravan troupe “Please take your things and be on your way, I will return to the village to inform them of this success” as they moved away to continue their journey he took each of the bodies lining them up by the roadside and creating graves for each one. He may be an ANBU but he did not consider himself to be heartless, bodies should not be left to rot by the wayside and fed upon by the crows leaving their graves and making his way back to the village.

Though he should have made it back swiftly there was many a moment he was made to take pause, giving himself some time to recover his lost energy before he made his way home.
