A chorus of chirps resound as a white pigeon comes flying in from the south, the cold obviously not to its liking but hard training keeping it to the job at hand. It lands nimbly and should anyone except it's recipient approach, it would hop back from them. Obviously not able to outrun a trained shinobi, it would make the effort nonetheless if it had to.

Upon one leg was a tube with a message. Should the recipient take this it would wait for a response before flying back home.

The Hokage found himself wandering around the pass, more just out of convenience than anything else. It was a place he found though near the exit of the village had a quiet and peaceful attitude with it, even he would have to admit that during these hard times he needed to be alone without the guards, without the protection just himself and his mind. It seemed that wouldn’t happen though as his eyes turned to the sky as he saw a pigeon flying in the direction, one that he recognised as a calling card of one of his Sennin. Watching the bird land in front of him he wandered up to it and gently ran his finger across the back of its head before reaching down to the leg.

Takeshi allowed himself to unwrap the letter gently before sending the bird once more out into the cold, as it should be home not enjoying a rest but still working hard, this bird was trained and it wouldn’t have had it any other way. As he ran his finger across the edge of the letter he allowed his fingers to trace over the parchment for a few moments before opening it and letting his eyes roll across the paper reading the words that had been scribed with ease as he recognised the language in a split second.


“Well that decides my next course of action for me then, I guess there is no time like the present to speak with the Raikage about these matters”
