Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

If it hadn't been for his rather unusual upbringing, this kind of mission would have been far too hard to complete for him, and any academy student or first-time Genin on their own. Lugging around pieces of debris, wood, metal and stone alike were what Yoshihisa had been focusing on for several hours now, without an end in sight for as far as he could tell. Not that he had any issues with manual labor like this, but he knew the payment wouldn't even come close to justifying the amount of effort he had put in, nor justify the value of anything he had been salvaging so far. But he wasn't going to complain. He was well aware that not every mission was going to be to his liking or that all your moral factors could be met in the end. The fact that there was any work at all around here was already a form of luxury not every other Hidden Village could rely upon these days.

And besides, with his chore being something one could do without actually putting their minds to it, he had more time to think about how things had been going for the last couple of weeks. Yes, just like from this mission he had gotten away with some cuts and bruises, yet this time being the first to be caused by actual 'trash'. Minor injuries, and that was something he was thankful for in the end, having heard stories from Shinobi from the past wars at which point children his age were easy targets to get killed off by the hundreds, if not thousands across the various countries. It might be something he still had to deal with some day in the future, but right now he could be content knowing that picking up scrapnel and lost ninja tools from the training grounds where these states were being simulated was the closest he would get to it right now. As a Shinobi Yoshihisa still had to prove himself before he could worry about it anyways.

"Still plenty of time, I reckon. Exams are still a couple of weeks away from now, and even then there won't be anything major they could use a rookie for."

That thought wasn't exactly very comforting, and while picking up a few rusty old kunai he realized it was actually a lot more unnerving than he had thought. What if things -did- take a turn for the worse and such thoughts weren't valid anymore? Yoshihisa had never seen too far into his own future, always hoping to have just an ordinary life and that he had actually had plenty of time to have things go at the pace he wanted. Of course, even he had dreamed of having hidden potentials that would rock the entire foundation of the world in times of crisis, like many others. The fact remained that that was all just speculation..

"Well, sonny, I think that might just be enough for one day. Now go on, get on out before I change my mind about sending them crooks back at the embassy that payment of yours!"

Several hours of grinding thoughts and sore limbs had managed to take quite the toll on him, but Yoshihisa had done what he had come to do, despite not even knowing or caring if it was the right thing to do anymore. Young people shouldn't be considered healthy with thoughts like this, he was sure of it. Yet there was very little he could do but ignore them in a world where death was the only true release of your worries if you came to think about it. All with all, the whole experience had left him stumbling towards the outer rings of Iwagakure, nauseous and shivering to the bone. The walk to the embassy was going to be a long one, and it wasn't until much later that he collapsed on his bed, drifting off into troubled nightmares about things he was glad he wasn't going to recall by the morning.
