Contract Changes!

We’ve got big news for you today. Because… As of today, the contracts will be shuffling around.

Now, some of you might be asking why some of them are marked out by the green glow. Well, if you go through the list, you might notice that they’re ONLY in that one country. That’s right, those specific contracts are now country specific. So you’ll have to either travel there, or buy one of the ASP cards to obtain it.

We’re also doing away with the preference system, now you don’t get to indicate what you’d like to find. You’ve got an equal chance between all five contracts in each country, and of course, still a small chance to find Kami/Youkai everywhere.

As we’re changing things up, I’d also like to announce that we’re doing a limited time offer of better search chances! For the entirety of August AND September, you get an automatic +1 to your searches, giving you a better shot at finding something. +1 can make the difference between having to wait for two months, or getting to work at obtaining a contract. Enjoy!

With all changes to core systems comes even more changes, these ones are about the ASP card purchases. The old ones will be displayed on the left, and their new counterparts will be displayed on the right.

Natural Talent: Special Find - 180 Points

• Grants the ability to search for Contracts not found in their Outer Village Zones. User is still required to pick two at the start of their Contract Search. May be Purchased unlimited times, does not stack with itself or other Natural Talent Items.

Natural Talent: Kami/Youkai Search - 250 Points

• Grants the ability to search for a Youkai OR Kami Contract during their Contract Search. May only be purchased once per character and does not stack with itself or other Natural Talent Items.

Natural Talent: Increased Chance Encounter - 300 Points

• Grants a +2 in finding a Contract of their choice. User is still required to pick two at the start of their Contract Search with one of the choices receiving the bonus. May be Purchased unlimited times, does not stack with itself or other Natural Talent Items.

Discovery of Contract of Random Choice - 600 Points

• The user is guaranteed to find a contract when they do their contract search. They must travel to an area where a contract can be found and RP out obtaining the contract (and such may still face failure from an RP standpoint). A roll with the possible contracts in the given area would be done and you would be automatically granted one of the possible choices in the zone, including Youkai/Kami. This may not be returned. May be purchased once or twice, depending on the number of contracts already held. Cannot obtain the same contract twice. There will be a 1 month wait time between each purchase.

Discovery of Contract of Your Choice - 800 Points

• The user is guaranteed to find the contract of choice when they do their contract search. They must travel to an area where a contract can be found and RP out obtaining the contract (and such may still face failure from an RP standpoint). A player can also claim Kami or Youkai through this method. This may not be returned. May be purchased once or twice, depending on the number of contracts already held, Cannot obtain the same contract twice. There will be a 1 month wait time between each purchase.

Contract Creator - 1000 Points

• This requires the ownership of 2 contracts. If a user has 2 contracts, they are able to "create" a new contract by taking from their 2 contracts the various representatives and creating their own. For example ownership of the Frog and the Bird Contract - the user may create [insert contract name]. The user would swap out the contract representatives at each level with their chosen representative. Then the user would re-flavor the contract and submit their final result to the Contract Moderator Team for the sake of papertrailing.
  • You may not separately use the two contract species used to create the custom contract.
  • You may not combine any custom contract with another contract.

This does not permit the user to find a contract that doesn’t live in that particular area. (i.e. no finding Deep Sea contracts in Wind through this ASP card.)
  This may not be returned. May be purchased once or twice, depending on the number of contracts already held. Cannot obtain the same contract twice. There will be a 1 month wait time between each purchase.

Yes, we’ll be striking two cards from the pool entirely. As we’re taking away the “Pick two” part of contract searching, the ASP card that allowed users to pick either Kami or Youkai as one of their two options isn’t relevant any longer.
As for Contract Creator, well… It never really made sense. Would it be a Chimera contract with amalgamations of two different creatures? Or would it just be different species on each rank? To date, not one person has ever bought this option, and as such, we’re retiring it completely. Something similar may show up in the future, but I make no promises of that sort.
