Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It has come to the attention of the village that there has been a large amount of missing persons cases happening in a small village located on the outskirts of Attonbitus. Kumogakure suspects that there might be someone or something causing these disappearances with rumors of a cult that has made the town the base of operation to spread their religion. Subvert this cult and figure out the parties responsible for these disappearances.

WARNING: This town has also been rumored to have been influenced by Tenouzan so finding a friendly face will be difficult if you should up with village gear or use your jutsu. Find people you can 100% trust and avoid those who will report you to the guardsmens.

The centralized lowlands of Lightning Country are abundant with life and fresh water, encouraging agriculture, the gathering of people, and creation of civilization. This fertile and plentiful land has been responsible for the country's large population and its ensuing prosperity. Lightning Country has many small villages and several large cities. Retired shinobi often make their residence in these places, close enough to be able to be called upon if need be, but far enough away to get rest from the busy shinobi life. The focus of this mission was somewhere a bit less advance than towns like Raiden's Eye and Kumogakure. This village that this mission was had been nicknamed to some as Raiden's Curse. That's because the quality of life there was absolutely shit. The homes and buildings were in various stages of ruin. A dull grey atmosphere, the roads if you can all them that had various mud puddles with discarded farm equipment and wood littering the town. The smoke coming from the coal chimneys made the town look more grey and ugly. It was much like country side Cronopolis, even the villagers wore tattered robes save for a few armored guards that road throughout the town doing their patrols.

Some people looked miserable, oddly enough there weren't any children in the street which was quite odd though maybe they were just in a non-shinobi school. But with life as it was, could this slum even afford school? The entrance to Raiden's Curse was a rather swampy looking landscape where it was more or less impossible to use the land for anything. The road there was a simple straight line for about mile away from the woods, impossible to miss due to the village having a huge rusted sign by the entrance in which had been painted on in red paint. 'Welcome To Raiden's Curse'

Enter if you dare..........

Aya arrived outside the village, she wore a black kimono with a butterfly print. It was slightly faded, showing signs of age, and tear. Some parts looked a little snagged, but Aya liked it, she really didn't have the money to buy a new kimono, she spent her money on combat gear instead, though for this mission she knew coming dressed as a shinobi would be bad. Aya's hair was down, though it reminded her that it was probably time for it to be cut, but for now she'd have to deal with it. Her shoes seemed to have the same wear and tear, but she knew they would hold up for this mission. Kimono's made it easy to hide weapons and gear in.

Aya looked into some info on the village before coming here, it was very similar to the place she grew up. She remember the distrust she used to have for Shinobi, or villages of any kind, scrounging around and fighting for food. This place was all too familiar to her. The smell alone brought back a lot of memories, every day fighting for survival, not knowing if you'd wake up. She remembered gangs who took care of her, but they are all probably dead, or in prison still.

"It's like I am back home, been a long time." Aya said to herself, she was a completely different person back then. She did not really miss it, her new life was a lot more comfortable, well as comfortable as anbu barracks could get. It was better than sleeping in a box. Though she had a lot of strings still left tattered and frayed, the shinobi that gave her a name, and taught her how to read, ended up going missing. She considered him a father, but she knew he was most likely dead, or long gone.

Rising early in the morning, Eiji reminded himself not to wear any of his Kumogakurian attire. He had no documentation of who he was or where he'd come from, but he was aware that things would and could get hasty in this village he was set on the mission to. Since that meeting Eiji had it in his mind that he would get back into the swing of things, no more teaching until he himself learned some new lessons. He would have to pursue a new line of thinking if he wanted to grow. And so it was with that mind frame that he would link up with Aya and Ryu for a new mission. Back with his old team, and with a new set of ambitions.

Upon his arrival, adorned in his worn coat, black pants, thick boots and his glasses he liked to wear when he was outside of his combat attire. It was comfortable, worn in and ready for his movements. Though, he saw the woman he most loved in this world, in a kimono... looking past the rips and tears, and at the immaculate beauty before him, his jaw dropped from afar, she'd definitely grown into her body over the years, and he would watch her, but coming to his senses, he'd walk out from his brush, his hair locked and cocked to the side.

"Home? Home is where your family is. Whereever that may be, right?", he'd speak before looking to her and then out to the village, the slums of what could have been, but alas, he did not make it so. He wanted nothing more than to create a better life for him and his friends, family and loved ones, a world where they wanted for little and had more abundances and blessings that would rain with his reign as leader. Could this be a world he could create? Maybe so, but he needed help from a certain duo... speaking of, 'Where is Ryu?'

"My, I'm quite sorry for this meaningless delay on our plans. Afraid I had trouble...putting on my face, so to say." A voice calls to the duo. Approaching is a figure with flowing white hair and glaring red eyes...but that couldn't be Ryu, could it?

A special high-grade face mask had been sculpted using clay and rubber to give them a slightly more defined jawling, fitting seamlessly and without giving even a hint of entering uncanny valley. They wore a long-sleeved dress shirt with a black tie loosely fit around their neck and thick black gloves. The ends of the said shirt were rolled up to cohesively fit the gloves, and their pants were simple brown dress pants.

To Ryu, they all had roles to fill with their disguises. Ryu's was to appear to be a pompous rich asshole, an archetype those within this village certainly would hate...unless, of course, a certain cult wants monetary funding.

What's stranger is that Ryu wasn't alone. At their side was a simple white dog. Perfectly well behaved and wagging its tail, sitting down once Ryuichi finally got to the other two shinobi. "It's been a while, I must say. And what a drab, and....interesting town this is."

A very interesting town indeed, in fact right after Ryu had made that comment about the town all the civilians in the area stopped doing whatever he or she was doing to stare intently at the approaching party of three and smiled a huge horrifying grin at them with their eyes wide and dilated like mad people. They then resume their normal business. Continuing conversations broken off in mid-word, work or just walking off as though they didn’t even acknowledge the group's presence. But something somewhere had acknowledged their presence and knew that it was being hunted… it was a little hello to those who come to investigate the disappearances of the long lost people of this town. Now that the shinobi were here it was time to get to work with their investigation into this town.

Since they were just beginning their investigation into the haunting disappearances, there was no better place than right here. A guardsmen on his petrol was making his rounds around the town and to the surprise of the shinobi group the guy didn't even seem to take notice of how these townspeople smiled at the newcomers. The thing that was haunting this town must’ve either had the town under its spell or it was all of them under some strange genjutsu that made them believe that they all had smiled at them. Regardless no one seemed not notice that anything was off which was important to take note of if they wanted to know exactly what they were dealing with. Especially if the monster was blending into this little village under the guise of a fellow civilian.

If one were to map the village most of the buildings around the entrance where small businesses, like the candlemaker, the woodcutters, gift shops (which was just a junk shop) and a few places that sold weapons for as cheap as 1 yen. The entrance began on the main street, however there were only three paths with the right and left one being mostly dwellings save for a few taverns along with shady people in robes looking to offer their services as well. There were also a few people out so there were plenty of folks to question however it was the matter of choosing the right people to talk to which was the hard part. There were plenty of places to go to, a lot of people to see but the question is where will they start and will they split up in order to cover more ground?
