Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Jesus Saito!

Shin's eyes shifted from side to side as he and two guards escorted a priest of Raiden down the prison's death row, making mental notes of each convict and their behavior towards him and his charge. Most were shaking the bars and angrily demanding their release, while others silently sat on the cot in their cell. They seem to have come from various origins, yet all of them ended up here, wearing the standard issue prison garb, despair in their eyes as they stared at the group.

Why the hell did they ask me to come!?

Perhaps you are the one they will be executing. After all, this lovely place is where justice will be delivered upon the wicked.

Shin closed his eyes for a moment and sighed deeply in an attmept to regain his composure.

Just shut up: I don't have time for your bullshit right now.

You may call it whatever you wish: it's still the truth.

Shin now growled lowly, causing the one of the guards to turn his head.

"You alright back there?" he asked the boy as the group kept walking.

"Yeah . . . just got a lot on my mind, ya'know?"

The guard chuckled as he shook his head.

"Hopefully this will be your first and last time in here," he tried to comfort him.

Shin simply chuckled and nodded as the group stopped and turned left to face a locked cell with a convict sitting on the cot, his face cradled in his hands. As the other guard fiddled about for the right key, the boy could hear the man muttering something under choked sobs.

Something's not right. . . .

In a matter of seconds, the door was unlocked and opened, allowing the priest and the student to enter before the guards closed the door and stood outside. Now close enough to make out what the prisoner was saying, Shin listened as the priest and him conversed.

"Hello, my son," the priest began. "I'm Father Soma."

"I didn't do it . . ." the man muttered. The priest sighed before continuing.

"Would ya like to be absolved of your sins before you meet Raiden?"

"I didn't do it . . ." the man continued to chant, this time his voice straining with fury and sorrow. The priest leaned forward, placed his hand upon the man's shoulder, and whispered something in his ear.

Indeed: this should be quite interesting.

The man looked up at the priest, his jaw agape as he stared blankly at him.

"So, let me get this straight," he finally spoke. "You know I'm innocent, yet you'd still allow them to condemn me to death!?"

"It's not that simple, my son," the priest attempted to console the convict. "Raiden works in mysterious ways."

"FUCK RAIDEN!" the man shouted as he lunged towards the priest and tackled him to the ground. Without hesitation, Shin quickly performed a set of handseals, causing a tendril of blood to shoot out of his wrist and strike the man's face, splitting his head cleanly in half.

"Jesus Saito . . . what have I done?"

----

As Shin escorted Father Soma outside of the prison, the priest put his hand on the boy's shoulder.

"Do not despair, my son: he could not be helped."

Shin sighed and closed his eyes.

"He was innocent, wasn't he?"

The priest sighed this time and shook his head.

"Indeed, but Raiden had blessed him with one last gift before he claimed his soul."

"And what would that be?"

"You, my son."

Shin spun around to look at the priest, much like the convict had done before being 'executed'.

"What do you mean?"

"Help his soul find true peace by proving him innocent." He handed a scroll to the boy. "That's why I asked for your presence, my son."
