Day in the Life of a Merc [Requesting Entry]

[Uchiha Takeshi]

The walking had taken them a while, but on the beautiful day they currently had, he wasn't going to complain about that. Takeshi looked as he continued to come towards that familiar sight that was the village gates. He sighed to himself as he knew that beyond the gates was a life that would be full of work, but right now his job was to escort this man to the gates and see what was to be done with him. Honestly, it probably was the first trial that Asuka would have to go through. As he approached the gate he summoned one of the men across to him with a quick save of his hands.

"Morning, can you please summon the Hokage to the gates, I have someone that she would need to speak to her, and would rather it come directly from the horse's mouth than via some misinformation."

With that, he turned his attention back to the man that was in front of him. standing there in front of the gates as they both waiting for the Hokage to turn up. It hasn't been that long ago that he had been out himself traveling around and trying to see the sites of the world but that had stopped it seemed when he had become the Hokage. Instead, his time was dedicated to making sure the inner workings of the villages were all where they should be.

"Yes Sir, right away"

With that, the man headed straight out to go and request the presence of the Hokage, leaving them alone when for a little bit longer, it seemed that it was going to be one of those days, he had meant to go out for a stroll but it seemed that as always something had cropped up. He didn't blame the man after all travelling could be awkward and there was no right or wrong way to do it, just that the two had crossed paths meant that now they had to wait for the summon to be heard and the request for entry to be granted. Protocol played a big part in the Main Branch day to day running even he understood that much.

"Sorry about the delay, we shouldn't be much longer from our side, I am sure you understand the need to make sure that everything is above board and correct before allowing visitors into the village?"

[Uchiha Asuka]

"Lady fifth." Her assistant had come running into her office. Asuka was knee deep in paperwork, she had just hoped Takeshi had prepared her for this but apparently there's no rest for the wicked. Sighing at the girl she simply looked up.

"For the hundreth time Madoka, Asuka is fine." She still hadn't gotten used to the title, or the respect and responsibility that came with it. But she still liked when people called her by her name.

"As you wish Lady Fifth." This girl had a certain knack to get on her nerves. "A gate guard came running a few moments ago. Lord Fourth has summoned you to the gates."

"Takeshi?" She titlted her head in question. The hell did he want her for? As far as she knew he was on vacation after the inauguration. Did he come back already. Besides that, wasn't he the Main Branch Sennin at the moment? "What does he want with me?."

Madoka shrugged "Hell if I know, would sugges-."

"Yeah, yeah." Asuka stood up from her desk. "I'll go and see what the fuss is all about."

It didn't take her long to get to the gates. Being the Main Branch Sennin herself it became sort of like second nature to head towards them and inspect that they were being manned and well taken care of, first thing anyone saw was the gates. First impressions were everything. After arriving she saw the familiar figure of her mentor. With a big wave of her hand she walked towards them. "Well, I wasn't expecting to see you so soon after the inauguration. Heck, I would've been halfway towards Cloud by now." She joked as she took a deep breath "So, what happened and whose head needs to roll?" In her eyes this was simply a case of insubordination, someone had fucked up and needed reprimanded. Why did Takeshi need her for that? Who knew.

[Sunaku Isamu]

Isamu chose to leave his hood of his black hoody down to reveal his facial features. Atleast, what features could be seen behind his long messy brown hair that covered most of his eyes and fell down to shoulder length. This left his wide nose and thin lips visible and his newly tanned skin he obtained from his time in Sunagakure. Isamu had followed closely behind Takeshi and Yuki. The walk here wasn't that long and Isamu made sure to take in the path they took, as it was most likely the most direct path to the village. That knowledge could be handing in any situation where time was of an essence. As soon as they arrived at the gates, Takeshi asked a shinobi to retrieve the Hokage. Isamu was a little surprised by this, as he had expected to be allowed in the village to eat Ramen and then gain any knowledge possible on Snake and the organization, if any at all. The surprise must have shown on his face as Takeshi pointed out that this was necessary to make sure everything was correct when allowing visitors into the village. Isamu replied to the statement with a nod of understanding "Of course, the Leaf is quite beautiful from the gates. I do not mind taking in the scenery as I wait." Isamu done just that, staring at the guard post, watching guards patrols, observing small skirmishes through out the village from where he stood. The village seemed to be thriving and doing well. This could mean that neither Snake or the organization are here, but they were quite good at staying hidden it would be hard to tell at first glance.

Before long a young lady showed up, and with her greeting to Takeshi, Isamu assumed she was the Hokage. Although Isamu was unsure about heads needing to roll or not, he was rather certain Takeshi didn't have him follow him here just so the Hokage could have his head. Takeshi seemed like an honest man a powerful shinobi, if he had wished to behead Isamu he would have been more inclined to do it his self.

Isamu spoke up so that the responsibility of introducing him wouldn't fall onto Takeshi. After all no one knew what Isamu was here for, more than Isamu did. "Excuse me Lady Hokage, I am Isamu Sunkau. I'm a mercenary coming from Sunagakure in search of a group of missing-nin and I was hoping that Leaf could aid me in my search." That was a good brief introduction, a more detailed conversation could come after. Especially, since the Hokage has mentioned rolling his head, the last thing he would want to do is bore her with an over informative first impression. Isamu awaited a reply and Takeshi made see fit to add more details to what Isamu had said from the information he knows. Takeshi and Yuki both would know their Hokage far better than Isamu did.

[Uchiha Takeshi]

Takeshi nodded towards Isamu as he spoke as they both waited for the Hokage to turn up, it had seemed that Yuki had gone back to patrolling the outskirts of the area once more. He was just here to make sure that all the information passing went smoothly. He was fully aware of making sure that the Fifth was protected as he stood there, his muscles relaxed and his demeanor showed someone that was calm. Though when the Hokage was involved he wasn’t going to let anything go easy on that front. He was going to make sure that she was protected.


“Documentation was in order, so everything on that front checks out as is above and beyond questions there. He has also been quick to answer and hidden nothing from me when I questioned him on his entry inside of the country. I do believe he is just looking for some answers and work hence why I called for you Lord Fifth”


Waiting for the reply from the Hokage it was down to her to decide what was going to happen. He wondered how this would go, as it seemed not long ago that he himself was being judged for the same thing from his front. Now the coin had flipped and it was time for Asuka to make a judgement call. It wasn’t his place to say if it was right or wrong, it was his place to just listen and give advice nothing more and nothing less. This one completely fell down to Asuka on her call that she needed to make.

 

[Uchiha Asuka]

Asuka listened to the stranger speak first. Scratching the back of her head she pondered his words. Searching for missing-nin was a certain improvement from the usual lie. She had to think of this from a safety perspective. One thing she had learned is that everybody lies. Whether by not giving enough information or outright changing the story. That being said there was a few questions she would ask but she didn't want to seem like she was prying so she simply bowed slightly, to show respect to the newcomer.

"Welcome to Leaf Sunaku-san. I do hope your travels were easy and pleasentfull" She spoke with a smile on her face. "Although Takeshi here speaks very highly of your cooperation with him. I would like for you to tell me what you told him. Just spit it out." She said turning to Takeshi, whispering in fiero "I don't necessarily have a problem. Just testing to see if there were any inconsistencies. Let me know if they are."

 

[Sunaku Isamu]

The Hokage wishes for Isamu to repeat his story. This could be due to the fact she wants to validate with his story that he told Takeshi earlier, or the mere fact that she doesn't trust Takeshi. However, judging from the way Takeshi spoke of the Hokage earlier and the way they have acted around each other so far, Isamu is leaning towards the first reason over the latter. Neither really matters, since Isamu's answer will be the same regardless, the truth. Still Isamu should refrain from repeating what he ahs already said to Takeshi word for word, as it would seem rehearse and resemble a lie by doing so.

Isamu smiled at the Hokage in response to her statement. "Ofcourse. I told Takeshi here earlier, I've spent a lot of my time recently hunting down two different group of criminals. One group I have been able to track to a member to your village, personal identity is unknown but the group is Known as the Organization. During my time in Sunagakure, I was fortunate enough in assisting them with uncovering a secret agent among their council who was abusing his power and authority to help this "Organization" thrive. According to that interrogation, the Organization is a large group of spies and assassins who have infiltrated every shinobi village. Although their goal or purpose is uncertain, so far anytime the Organization has been chaos and destruction follows. Their crimes seem to know no end, from kidnapping, thievery, murder, and etc. The other group is known as Snake. Their members thus far, have all been S rank criminals with a visible snake tattoo. I believe this tattoo is symbolic of their rank and membership to the group. Snake have been known to work more like a mercenary group, but they lack honor and disregard all rules of the shinobi. I have a personal vendetta against this group, and have fought against a few of its' members in the past. I would like your permission to search for members of both of these groups during my time here. if allowed entrance, as well as any information you may have on them. That was a lot of information to release all at once, but it was necessary to tell the truth. as an after thought Isamu added "I would also be acceptable to any work you could throw my way. I'm a mercenary after all, if I don't work, I don't eat."

That should do for now. If the Hokage needed more information, or background on how Isamu knew his information he would be happy to inform her.

 

[Uchiha Takeshi]

Takeshi simply did nothing from the moment Asuka arrived, he was just there to observe and nothing more as he listened to teh man repeating his story once more he looked towrads those entering and leaving the village, ti seemed like everyone was once more going around doing buisness as usual it seemed. He knew full well that the daily routine was nothing to be concerned about after all the guards at the gates made sure anyone going in and out was checked full and had the correct documentation for travel. He wouldn't allow anyone to go unnoticed inside of the village while he held the office of the Main Branch Sennin.

Turning his attention back to Asuka he nodded slightly towards her as he listened to her words before turning his attention back to the man in front of them, he was more relaxed around the man than before mainly because they had previously had an open conversation and he had even given documentation at the request of the Uchiha. Everything checked out and it seemed that in his mind everything was above the board then, he knew full well that there was not much else he couldm do after that point. He had checked everything from his side and the information the man was after wasn't something he had avalible to him.

Standing there he listenend to teh man repeat his story, checking with his memory on the details that had been given to Asuka compared to the ones that he had given to Takeshi outside of the gate boundries, once more everything seemed to check out with the story as it seemed to be a repeat in every detail. He gave a slight nod towards Asuka confirming that the story checked out with everything he had been hearing before.

The man would get inside the gates and would sigh at the sight that was going on. He would scratch the back of his head and look towards the person that was there. "Oi oi... Please don't leave. We can make this work.." With that, a glare was given towards the Hokage, one that was rare to come from his side but then again he saw another familiar face. "So... Please fill me in... Otherwise, he can come with me inside for a cup of tea. Sorry for them... Just please come with me fora cup of tea or beer"

Takeshi nodded to the man as he listened to the words being spoken, though it seemed that Asuka had let her mind wander elsewhere, which cause a frown to come back on his face as he turned and looked at Nao approaching, nodding his head slightly towards the man it was clear the other Sennin had joined just at the right time, though he wondered how much longer the Hokage would have kept the man waiting. It seemed that in this situation he would have to make the call again and just be done with it, with Nao being quiet about the matter and letting the man in he knew the same should have been granted sooner.

"I think the Hokage is just having a bit of information overload, I do apologize about that, of course, your welcome inside of Leaf, if you want food let me know I am happy to show you to the local dining places which can assist in filling that desire up pretty well. Other than that if your search does turn up information please make sure that you come knocking at my door. I appreciate your patience but go on in, ill take care of the rest if there is any paperwork that needs to be completed."

With that Takeshi beckoned with Nao to walk with him as the Shinobi of Konaha entered into the village letting the man enter at his own time of course and to allow him to do anything else that he needed to cover beforehand.
