Delivery of a Message [Requesting Entrance]

Ikari had finally made it to the village gates, if that is what they could be considered. The Uchiha allowed himself to look at the banners that where flying still proud as always it seemed that they would never go. This was his first time here but he had already get reports of what to expect from the Hokage during his visit, that had taken all the control for Takeshi himself not to make his way here, but he was needed inside of the village and thus it would be the two of them that finally went together. Ikari would always be in front of Kotori, is hand lazily resting on the hilt of the blade, that was more the fact of who the girl was than to his threatening nature.

As the two of them would make it to the entrance he would want to wait to see who would come though as always he would have to announce himself, it was proper and expected if they wanted someone to turn up to let them in, he allowed himself to do the talking for the first part, after they where in and at the Kage office then that is when Kotori would be taking over the conversation, at least that was what the plan had been for this line of conversation.

"Hello, my name is Uchiha Ikari, I have travelled all the way from Konaha to come here, we have a message from the Hokage to deliver to the Kazekage directly, we have documentation ready and would request access inside of the village please."

His voice was loud enough that it could be heard if needed as he allowed himself time to wait and see if anyone would show up to let the two of them in.

Kotori would be looking left and right. This was... Different rhen what she was used to towards her own hometown. Her own village. Yet she didn't dislike that whole fact, she was a bit in awe and started to noze a little around. Thatbwas till they were nearing those gates, banners ans all. She swallowed for a moment and would remind behind the advisors side. "t... This... Is huge.." she muttered softly as she started to tilt her heads slight towards the left. Her own attire barely able for these weather conditions, yet she was part haku so if needed she would control the cold inside her body, yet she always was a strange one for warmth.

She remained silent, unsure what the best approach were for these times. Even she had never done a protocol back at home, so she. Also because of her job, would try to save every bit of information that was gained her. Even if that meant more focus then usual and time hoppings. Yet she hoped for a relaxed vacation, just deliver a letter, sightseeing.... Yet that wouldn't be very much the case.
"Allrighty..." were the mutters behind the man as she stood there waiting. "w-why is this nerf wrecking...." were her words barely a whisper for the advisor to hear.

His brow would raise as he approached the duo. It must have been something in the water or maybe he was day drinking, either way, he would find himself once more at the gate...and the mention of Fire Country or the village that resides within it. It was a strange set of occurrences.

Waving his metal left arm he would motion for the two to come forward.

“Not a bird, not a trespasser...now it’s actual envoys from Konoha. You all seem to be a lively bunch...”

He would take the documentation, casting a glance at the male first and then the female. Upon looking over the appropriate information on who they were he would pass the documents back.

“You have business with the Kazekage, what’s it concerning.”

He would caution with his right, still flesh, arm.

“Now before you get defensive, allow me a moment; 1) you have a Hokage, protective of him I bet, now the same can be said about the shinobi of this village and our leader 2) we are tense times in this village and outsiders have...hell within...people’s intentions don’t always match their words and 3) I am Roku, one of the three appointed Sennin—not some run of the mill gatekeeper. So, what’s this pertaining to that you waa nt me to March you into my village without a second thought?”

His words were matter of fact. This wasn’t a fight, this was a process. Their priority was not his, they would either realize this or this would turn into an ordeal.

Another stinkin’ ordeal.

Ikari smiled slightly as he tilted towards the head, it seemed that the man had been busy, and this would raise questions that he would need to find out about later. Though he allowed himself to give a few minutes pause towards the man’s words as he allowed himself to stand upright, this was more because he knew that the words he would speak should be taken as they were, of a more festive tone. He allowed himself to look to Kotori for a few minutes, the younger one of the two was still used to all of this but right now they needed to get inside of the gates, so he would tell the truth no point lying about the intentions.

“We are here with an offer the Kazekage a invitation to the Lunar festival that will be in Konaha shortly, allowing the shinobi of this fine city to come and share with us the festive time. This young lady has the hand-written letter from the Hokage with this official invitation. It would be our pleasure to open the gates of Konaha to Sand and allow ourselves to host whoever wishes to attend. It also has the offer of a talk between the Hokage, Kazekage, Raikage about recent times, and the situation with leaf.”

He allowed the truth to roll from his tongue instead of hiding it for no reason other than to just try and show Roku that this was in good faith, a Sennin was at the gates, and he would find this out soon enough anyway, he didn’t need to make a mess out of a situation that could be easily explained about its true intent, and that was one of peace. It seemed that Ikari was going to get straight to the point on this one.

“You mentioned a Bird and a Trespasser, may I know of what two you speak about as well if you don’t mind Sennin Roku?”

[Sazuki Nao]

So many questions and kotori wasn't really prepared for any of those. Yet she knew they were needed..... For a moment she kept silent and kept listening towards the sennin as he introduced himself as one. The words soon coming from the Uchiha next to him... and then only herself was left. Yet she was unsure how to adress herself.. Should or shouldn't she use titels or not and what not more. She was all new to all of this, inside her village it was rather easy, everyone knew her as.... and sometimes that was already proven troublesome. Yet right now she thought of keeping that title secret, it wouldn't matter that much, yet adding much more information towards the words of her companion wasn't needed.

"Uchiha Kotori, thank you for meeting us so far." She said and to keep it polite she made a small bow, yet it wouldn't really fit with the way she was dressing. So this would probably stand out she was trying to be polite. "If I may add a question onto my companions one.... You mentioned you had troubled times also, had or still occuring, do we need to be on our guard?" A foolish question perhaps, but one for her to ask and to know. That was at least her thought of thinking and she started to look a little around, trying to see if it was needed or not. First time out and so.... Home online abroad.... sort of.

The man of the group would explain, and it didn't really seem like he was straining to divert it and if this was a lie, it wasn't the most elaborate.

"Oh! A party? Should have just led with that!"

He would laugh and slap his own side, unfortunately for him it was his left, metallic, hand slapping his side. The thunk of the metal would cause a pause in his joyous outburst and would help him refocus on the task at hand. He would nod to the man and then turn his attention to the female as she introduced herself.

"Again, Roku... it's more-or-less my name and more-or-less a number--anyways, let's go bring you and your letter to the Kazekage."

His finger would raise up, tapping his headset earpiece.

"Kat--Kazekage, this is Roku... bring yer ass to the tower in one of your fancy-shmancy rooms."

His attention would turn back to the other two as he would smile.

"This should be a treat, real heck of guy the Kazekage is."

Releasing the earpiece he would motion for the two of them to follow him. Not wishing to ignore their two questions he would follow up in kind.

"A gentlemen never feeds a bird and tells... I am much classier than that. The other thing, we can chat about later depending on how the meeting with the Kazekage goes."

So they didn't send the bird? It was addressed as Konoha, interesting.

Adding together the contents of the note and their reaction to not knowing its existence, it led him to start to suspect that Wind Country wasn't the only location experience infighting. His last comment would be towards the female as he would turn back to her with a raised eyebrow.

"You aren't always on guard? Man... Konoha sounds like a real cushy place."

The first half of that would be loud enough for her while the second half, still able to be heard by the two of them, would be more of a mumbled self-gripe. The life of a shinobi was not an easy one, or maybe that was just his personal experience or the hell that had been his time as a shinobi in sand. Constant invaders, an underground village held hostage, a giant sand worm, an army designed to kill them, the daimyo trying to kill them, once living with a storm of diamonds trying to kill them, the threat of internal threats and external threats never didn't seem present, so being offguard felt...novel?

His trilogy of Fire Country gate visits would prove, thus far, to be a rather interesting experience.

"Ah shit... errr, crap. Sorry ma'am. I bet you two are thirsty, right? The desert is a doozy. Would you all like to stop for a drink or just head to the tower?"

Hey, who said he wasn't hospitable... well maybe the boy with the broken bones he had met earlier.


OOC: Leading them either two the Kazekage Tower or a drinking location dependent upon responses. Feel free to leave this thread in next post and I will make the starting post for either outcome.

OOC2: Officially allowed into the village under condition of being accompanied by Roku to Tower or next stop then Tower.

Ikari allowed himself a few minutes to take on the words of Roku, though it seemed that they would be allowed to enter into the village, that much was clear. He couldn’t be thankful at least that this whole process was being completed so quickly, that much he would not argue with. AS the two looked to each other, it seemed that they had been granted entrance into the village, though the offer of water was something that he appreciated, they would need to hand over the letter to the Kazekage sooner rather than latter, so it would be much more productive to head there first than to linger.

“If we could please go to the Tower first, I would like to get this letter delivered first, then maybe after we can have a drink and discuss what you spoke about before if that is ok?”

His voice gentle and calculating as he spoke not wanting to give any reason for them to be distrusted, as he allowed his hand to come out signalling for the man to take the leaf and that they would following him, as was expected and besides he had no idea where he was supposed ot be heading or what he was supposed to be doing.

The words followed by the sennin were confusing words for her. "A gentlemen never feed a bird and tells... I am much classier than that. The other thing, we can chat about later depending on how the meeting with the Kazekage goes." The girl blinked a couple of times, not even sure what this old man was referring to. She looked towards the advisor with a rather, curious look. Questioning and puzzle. "What is he muttering about?" She spoke her thoughts out loud and would place a hand to her chin and think, thinks more. "Hmmm... THinking hurts..." She muttered out before listening back towards the sennin in front. "Don't get me wrong, we still have our fair share getting. Besides... if you always look over your shoulder, for who are you searching really.. The enemy or yourself." She said her tongue a bit sharper on that subject, they barely had the heals from last time yet, the second part was a bit softer.
As the advisor soon talked, she would nod and leave it a little at that with chit chatting. Thinking already how to address such an important person soon.
