Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

They need them alive, and to say the very least this wont be an easy feat to accomplish.

On the outskirts of the earth country, a group of men have continually be in search of one individual they can trust to perform a mission. Apparently, it is high risk, high reward, and the details have as of yet been unexposed to the public. Within the outskirts, many civilian have obtained knowledge of this secret mission and sent many would be participants to the group of men looking for aid. Meaning, anyone interested could simply ask about the three strange men seeking aid and if so, they’d be directed towards a cavern at the bottom of a small cliff side. Within this cavern, they’d see a campsite and hear the voices of three men arguing back and forth about whose turn it was to wash the dirty dishes from dinner just moments before hand.

Torches and campfire would provide enough light for anyone to see, but the faces of the men would be hidden within the shadows as would their bodies by large cloaks.

OOC:<i></i>
Larger your post, the better; You have to meet a 2400 word count minimum for this mission before you can claim -any- rewards.

Re: Down with the devil [A-rank Solo] [Open][0/1]

The sun had set and the men were finally making their way into the tavern as they seemed to every night. Mindless drones trapped in the monotony of their lives. Waking up as soon as the sun rose against those clay expanses, working ceaseless hours doing drone work for the nearby capital, ending as the sun set to drink away their problems and be merry together despite the depressing trap their lives were. It was rather pitiful, really, but the Isaki was stuck as well, as he was. He was relying on their schedule so that he could learn what he could; as it was, it seemed that behemoth of a man who was searching for his brother must had died trying to reach this place. It had been far too long, and the Isaki was left alone, again. That was starting to become a recurring theme, really.

There were the typical topics: the soon coming harvest, business in the capital, love lives and exports. Those were mostly trivial; it was rare that the Isaki deigned to pay attention to such. Rather, he was listening for the more subtle conversations, the rumors that were beginning to circulate. The less-than-jovial conversations about some secrets that the country and military village held. About how their religious leader, this Jun seemed to vanish, or mass killings or whatever. He was fortunate to catch sound of a new one. Some trio of men were looking to hire someone capable of carrying out a mission; given that they weren't seeking Iwagakure, it was something private they desired.
The two talking about the manner were rather close to where the Isaki was seated in the tavern and in the middle of their conversation. Only one guy seemed to notice the Isaki as he walked towards them. "Huh? Aren't you that weird guy who hangs around here but doesn't drink?"

The Isaki didn't his approach, but did calmly nod. "Aye, beats the solitary of the rooms upstairs. Mind if I join?"

"Err--sorry, but I don't even know who you are. We're kind of talking about something pri--"

"Yes, I heard. People looking to hire. I'm interested, and will pay for whatever information you have." The Isaki reached for a small pouch under his cloak. It was filled with something, upon pulling the string at its top, it revealed dozens of coins of various colours. Money. It was good in most places, where trade with the local countries was done.

The guy looked doubtingly. "Why so much? They're looking for someone, I didn't hear anything about who or what traits. There's a cavern a good hour away by foot east of here, that's where they are supposedly." The man's eyes never betrayed the coin pouch. "Now?"

The Isaki tossed the pouch and left the building otherwise in silence. Three people looking for someone? To hire or for what? Was it members of Isaki's gang of people searching for him or that other man? He was ready to do what he had, and left immediately. What was an hour by foot for him wasn't even a quarter of that for the Isaki while running. Some ten minutes brought him towards a large cliff; the site of people ended quickly. Those people feared the darkness of night for whatever reason.

There was a sound, multiple voices. Presumably three of them. They were bickering, but he couldn't discern what about. The Isaki slowed his approach towards the source of the sound. There was lighting, which was becoming more valuable as the sun finally disappeared from the night sky. There they were, unfamiliar faces. What did they want?

The Isaki would approach their grounds without a word. It was doubtful they would recognize a sennin of a dead country. It was likely they would notice him. Not a word was needed to be said.

Round #2 said:
"Ren, I'm not cleaning the dishes! I cleaned them yesterday!" Yelled one of the voices. "No, it's Gen's turn!" Yelled another, and shortly after, the third man replied. "I aint doing it, it's your turn you troll turd. Hurry up and get to it." He yelled towards his brother. The young Shinobi had walked in on three grown men, arguing over who’s turn it was to do the dishes. What a great way to start a mission, huh? Suddenly, one of them would notice the newcomer. ”Who in the bloody hell are you?” The youngest one called out. His name was shinn. ”Shinn, damn it clean the dishes, you're obviously lying. He’s probably another one of them ninja lookin to handle our dirty work!” Said Gen.

Suddenly the eldest among them, Ren, spoke up. "Who might you happen to be? Are you looking for work or are you looking for a good time? Either or is fine with me, handsome." He said in a provocative tone of voice. Really, how awkward was this?

Their bickering, as the Isaki continued approach, was rather moronically trivial. Refusal for basic chores necessary to maintain some level of sanitation for their camping? What were these people, with their mentality of a twelve year old before training in the Academy? Karurosu, even with his life within the wealthy Isaki family as a child, was better than these men when he was a quarter of their ages. It gave some insight into the trio: that they were a more lazy bunch seemed glaringly apparent. It gave suggestion that whatever job it was that they wanted would be either incredibly simple or ridiculously extravagant. Annoying, either way.

"Dirty work, hmm?" the Isaki would answer where his name would have sufficed, unhooding himself as he stepped into the light. His eyes, a light grey, were void of expression, almost dead in a sense; the only thing suggesting otherwise was that the pupils hadn't clouded over. He wasn't exactly, overall, the "handsome" one Ren might had imagined while he was hooded. He was, rather, more of a weather-beaten man who looked closer to dead than otherwise. "Depends on the job, but sure. Let's see what you've for me; it would be much more preferrable than having to take you over to the town to be jailed for the night. This isn't exactly the place for camping, you know?" All a ploy, obviously. The persona came to mind just after his first comment; the one shinobi warrior he had come in contact with, the annoying one, Katsu, would be the identity he played, with the minor twist that he was willing to work both sides so long as he got paid. It was doubtful they had run into him, and with that encouragement, getting some job would be simple enough.

"There's plenty of whores you'd find more eager and pleasurable than me a short walk away," the Isaki stated tersely towards the eldest. It wasn't awkward in the slightest, Karu was just honestly not interested. He simply wanted this job, he needed contacts to get into Maruishi. "What's this work?"

Ahh, yes! He's here for our mission! Goodie! Send him off big brother!" One of the men in the back ground said, before going back to doing his own then. Another one of them nodded and left the elder of the three to do the explaining, while the two younger brothers crept off in the back ground.

Ren pouted, only slightly. "Whore's are no fun, I'd like something more untouched." Said Ren, only before smirking a little bit and licking his lips. "Oh well, it can't be helped." He said before scratching his head and continuing. "There's this family on a hill side about ten miles north from us. There's a boy, a woman, and a man. We need those three captured alive and brought back here for a certain ritual.. but there's a catch." He said, as he suddenly stopped and glanced back at his brothers. "Where in the bloody hell did those inbred's go! Gen, Shinn, get to doing the dishes you troll droplets!" He yelled at them, before turning back.

"Ahhh yeah, the catch. Hmmm.. The husband is a rather remarkable shinobi. A Hyuuga to be exact, and his eyes are a little more advanced then your average pervert. You see, we need you to capture the three of them alive; disable them of course, but alive. We're going to perform this incredible ritual that's supposed to grant us immortality! It's rather amazing really! We stumbled across this book that explained everything to us some time ago, though the last ritual we performed kind of made me grow a second appendage, and I can't help but argue that it's made me happier than a dog with two... yeah anyway you get the point! Off you go then? They live on a farm in a blue house. There have a black barn and a couple dozen acres of farmland. Do this for us and we have a rather large amount of money for ya. Now go, unless you'd prefer to keep me company!" Winked the older brother.

He was such an odd ball, but his directions were rather straight to the point. He had exposed his goal straight from the start and let it be known. Kinda odd, but they had good reasons. Well, not really. All three of the brothers were just a bunch of idiots, but they were rich idiots with the means!

They desired to send off anyone who showed interest in the mission? Why suggest anyone to do it, then? It was a moronic detail of these three that Karurosu tried to shake from conscious thought at the eldest brother began speaking again, retorting his whore comment. He smirked. "How unfortunant, it would seem I'm not the one for you either, then. Now, the mission?"

Immortality, what a moronic idea. One could live forever, for what? Any pursuit one might have becomes nothing more than a trivial trifle; what happens when one sates all their desires? It is mortality that gave a sense of urgency to do such, but when time is no longer a limit, one's sense of being is naught. It was rediculous to seriously desire to lose one's mortality. The Isaki sneered when the older brother made mention of it. They wanted to make Karurosu out to be a serial kidnapper -- not that it mattered much to the Isaki, since the fall of Kiri, morals became questionable at best.

Karurosu reserved comments as the man turned to shout to his brothers to wash dishes for the umpteenth time. Curiosity made him want to ask about the ritual they had in store; he wouldn't, not yet. Perhaps afterwards. This book they had seemed an interesting artifact they had discovered; the idea came to mind to take that rather than go through with kidnapping. Either was a petty crime; fitting for a former lord's son, to become a petty criminal. Were their souls not comsumed by the destroyed Deep One, the Isaki ancestors would have turned in their decayed bodies.

One of the Hyuuga line, then? Memories arose of the few Karurosu had dealt with in the hospital. Their eyesight was second to none, capable of seeing details many would have difficulty seeing less than a meter away, from a kilometer or more. If this one had full capability of the Byakugan, he would see Karurosu coming before he could identify the described farm. He would need some ploy, if he were to get close to them; if this man was some renown shinobi, direct combat would be difficult as well. Karurosu had gone far too long without training in ninjutsu and taijutsu; his only hope was with genjutsu, which shinobi -- at least in Kiri -- were trained to recognize, if not fight completely. But Karurosu's were powerful; he would have at least a fighting chance with it.

Short moments after the eldest brother spoke, Karurosu nodded slowly. "Very well." It wasn't money that he cared for, nor the sex with the man's apparent two penises. He needed contacts, regardless of how moronic, to get into Maruishi. He needed to put up his own mission there. It was solely for that that he would do such a petty crime.

He set off for the house, not stopping or slowing in the darkness of the night and unfamiliarity of the area. He needed the shinobi to be watching him, to confront him now. He walked for the house.

The day would quickly turn to night, as the sun above set and the moon began to rise. Lights from firefly’s filled the air as the young Shinobi continued on his journey. Along the way, he’d notice several vending stalls closing shop for the day and packing their merchandise. Rather had known it or not, he had just accepted a mission with morals lower than dirt. A good question would be if he was able to live with this decision, once everything was played out. Regardless, as he got half way there, he’d start to notice signs along the road side. “Trespassers will be dealt with, brutally.” On that sign, in the upper right hand corner, laid a clan symbol of the hyuuga written in blood. If he continued to walk, he’d see another sign. “Last Warning, you’re already within sight.” Said this sign, except this time he could look around to see kunai, senbon, and other throwing weapons scattered across the land. If he was daring enough, he’d also smell the smell of a rotting corpse off in the bushes several feet away.

There were traps everywhere from this point on, and depending on how he wanted to act, certain things may happen. What would this young Shinobi do now?

Night had come, its darkness helped and hindered all; those trained not to fear it could use it, manipulate it to their advantage. The shadows hid the intent of many, but not likely for this Hyuuga man, this supposedly amazing Iwagakure shinobi warrior. After the strings of stores that made up small pockets of residencies, littered weaponry and the putrid smell of decay, a familiar smell, covered the area. A more worried mind might retreat now to find another method of attack, or quit all together. The Isaki, though, pressed on, completely unphased by the sight. It might even seem as though he didn't see nor smell either, at all.

He proceeded forward, beyond the littered trail, towards this residency. The Isaki understood fully what he had to do, understood the rational behind the decisions made, albeit moronic ones, and understood fully how his morals were questionable. He was attacking a family, kidnapping them and taking them to what would likely be their deathbed, he hadn't any qualms with this. He hadn't any qualms with anything since Kiri's freeze. A part of him died there, the part that would've cared.

The building would come in sight soon; he kept his guard down, should the Hyuuga believe him hostile, things could be difficult, moreso than they would be already.

OOC: I feel like crap for making you wait so long -_-

Suddenly, the boy would find himself bombarded with an assault of Shuriken, Senbon, and Kunai. Seriously, dozens were thrown at him all at once and the onslaught soon began. Several came to just below his feet, while others flew past his head. Next thing the young shinobi would notice, if he was paying attention, was that burning arrows began to fill the night sky and rain down upon him. As they began to hit the ground, explosion upon explosion began to occur. All the while, Shuriken, Senbon, and Kunai continued to fly towards his body. If he moved to the right, he’d fall straight into a pit fall trap. If he moved to the left, he’d fall victim to a brutal weight triggered trap that would sling steal spikes directly into his chest. But, if he continued forward he’d have to endure an incredible amount of throwing weapons coming his way. The choice was his, but how would he avoid these dangers?

It has begun. The Young Shinobi in question had to act fast!

Questionable sanity could be put towards people on either side of this conflict: on the Hyuuga, for attacking with some deadly force on someone who was attempting to visit. Intentions aside, the Isaki could have been anyone with any number of innocently safe reasons for being there. On the other side: the fact that the Isaki continued, stopped only for a moment as the enslaught of projectiles were fired, towards the Hyuuga's residency was insane as well. It was fortunant that the supposedly amazing shinobi of Stone had the accuracy of a Stormtrooper, else the Isaki would have been skewered far too many times for even plot armour to save him.

Frankly, the Isaki was mildly surprised the Hyuuga didn't begin in attack a bit earlier, where the weaponry began to litter the ground. The hesitation on attacking, and the fact that, despite obviously being far capable of attacking at such a range and being more than capable of seeing where he was in great detail, he was failing to even disable the Isaki was questionable at the very least. Perhaps that was his reason for being so secluded rather than in the safety of the village. There was a certain safety that came in numbers, but you were only counted among those numbers when you were capable of providing assistance with them when required.

"I know you can see, but can you hear as well?" the Isaki called, not stopping his charge. He wouldn't stop, even were he skewered by one of the Hyuuga's weapons. He had no reason to. Death wasn't something he feared: he had already seen worse. "Stop with the bloody projectiles for a damn moment."

How was that for fast acting?

As he continued, one of the projectiles lodged itself into his right forearm arm (Rank 1 bleeding), and quickly another followed hitting him a couple inches below the other one, closer to his wrist. (Sprained – arm) Soon after, the arrows from up above him began to rain down, majority of which missed, with only one landing into his right shoulder. (Rank 2 bleeding) A small amount of damage had been done and the young Shinobi was already injured, but only slightly. Suddenly, the rain of projectiles would stop as a few exploding tags several feet behind the young men would explode, catching him in their fiery bursts from behind. (Burn X1)

The man would speak, finally as the Hyuuga waited and listened to what he had to saw from a distance. He sounded like a whisper, but the man had trained himself for years to block out just about everything. That, and the weird system he had running through the property allowed him to hear things a normal ear just couldn't.

Unfortunately for the Young Shinobi, there was no response what so ever. What would he do? Would he continue, or turn away and tend to his wounds.

Condition:
Sprained Right Arm
Rank 2 bleeding
Burned X1 (on back)

Percentage of passing: 90% and declining.

OOC: I'm a rough mod. You won't pass one of my missions without a challenge.

Fucking hell, really? Though the accuracy of the entire system would have made one doubtful they could hit anything, their sheer numbers prevailed and did a little bit of damage. Two small blades stuck right into his forearm. The Isaki grunted audibly upon each's hit. Sure, while he was trained to handle pain, and to heal it, it didn't mean he would; as his plan was, showing any sign of being capable of using chakra might bring the Hyuuga to actually use deadly force rather than this childs play. "Fucking hell," he'd murmur, clenching and continuing forward after a momentary halt from the injury, pulling out both blades: first the one closest to his wrist, followed by the one farther up. "Really? REALLY?!" he'd call out. "Quit this shit!"

Blood trickled down in a light flow, tracing from his arm to his hand, and falling to the ground from his thumb and middle finger. A nuisance, really. Projectiles fly in every which direction, coming quickly into his sight and just as swiftly into the abysmal darkness that surrounded him. Ought he've been afraid? Perhaps. A former shinobi of Stone was trying to kill him while he limited himself to not using chakra and couldn't see more than a meter in any direction in this darkness. He could easily die at any moment; it was no worse than Mist was, though. He ought to have died there, but he didn't. Those ghosts plagued him more than this job did; he would return there once he died anyways, there was nothing for him to worry of.

It was like rain, the thud of the arrows against the soft ground. Less peaceful, though, when you realized that. On hit his shoulder, sinking just beneath the skin: thank gods the bone wasn't broken, or feel it at least. He didn't stop walking forward; he didn't pull out the arrow head, that would be something he would wait for as to limit the bleeding it already caused. The arrow was a wider gap than the two slices were, the bleeding would be more profuse.

No more than a handful of steps, and a roaring blast of heated air pushed the Isaki forward, knocking him easily down. His entire back side stung, not minorly, but in extensive pain. He cried out, but he couldn't hear himself. His ears ringing was louder than anything else; he couldn't even hear himself think. The blast left him feeling dizzy, disoriented. He could see for but a moment and was left back into the darkness. It was some miracle that the projectiles didn't hit the stationary body. He grabbed at a tree as soon as he could and pulled himself up. "Quit this shit, you fucker!" he screamed out.

Seriously. Shit ain't funny, yo.

He continued forward, bleeding, injured, and with a light limp. He didn't lose yet.

The young mange never once stopped, even in the face of bodily harm; though he sure did curse up a storm. One he got up from the blast he had just experienced, the hyuuga watched with an evil grin on his face. ”Those bastards think they can take my family, but they’re wrong. Just like the others, this one will die.” He thought to himself as he reached for his head set. ”Kill him boys!” He shouted to his two fellow shinobi who were acting as his body guards. Both of them were his longtime friends and both were aware of some odd type of bounty being put on their friends family.

Two figures would quickly emerge from the shadows, both of which channeling a different form of elemental ninjutsu into their arms. One would attack with lighting and the other, with fire; in a barrage of fist. The young Shinobi would have to act fast if he wanted to avoid a fight. ”You’re not fucking with our friend, die you little shit!” Called out the man with lighting channeled throughout his body.

Fucking hell, really? As though the projectiles weren't enough, with his plead for them to stop (a request it seemed the Hyuuga was fine with giving), the projectiles were quickly replaced with two live targets. Two lights and a warcry were his only warnings of what was to come; they were coming in fast. He couldn't risk using chakra; not now, he had suffered through that enslaught of projectiles without showing any, using it now would only reveal such to the Hyuuga, who was obviously watching at a distance. Probably using this diversion to escape, if he were smart.

They were closing in fast, he had to act fast. "Fuck you," Karu screamed back, "the men were just arrested!" he had to trust that they'd believe him. Fighting now would be an almost guaranteed loss; he was injured (however minorly) by those projectiles, using chakra would give reason for the Hyuuga to go with more deadly methods of dispatching people or to evacuate the area, he still wasn't fully recovered from the trip to the country. These two seemed to have every advantage; he couldn't let the two use them.

"Fucking hell," he muttered, reaching quickly for the ground for anything he could use to put some space between him and them if he could. He had to be ready to outmaneuver them and survive however he could without relying on genjutsu or ninjutsu unless it was absolutely necessary. He was being watched, all three of them knew it. He had to play his cards right.

Actions:
Equip weapon (Since Karu can't see, you can decide what kind of weapon it was.)

Suddenly, the two of them stopped their assault and dispelled their elements. One took guard, while the other reached for his ear. Pressing his head set, he spoke. ”Boss, he said the men trying to have you killed were arrested and he’s not been aggressive in the least bit. What do we do?” He said, as both gave the man a blank stare. Suddenly, over the head the hyuuga replied; only the man with an ear piece would hear him. ”Tend to his wounds and bring him hear, but we’re gonna interrogate him” Said the young Hyuuga.

Suddenly, the one speaking over the head set went down towards his pouch and grabbed a few bandages. ”Wrap your wounds and follow us.” He said, as tossed the bandages to the newcomer. "Anything funny and we wont hesitate to attack." He said, as one took position behind him, the other in front, and they began motioning him to walk.

The emitted colours from either direction, their illuminating ninjutsu, and the light sound of running stopped a moment after his quick lie. He held his guard in the period of time that felt like an eternity; he couldn't see anything, the moon hardly shone against the ground. Finally, a dull voice, mumbling something incoherent, but loud enough for the voice to be obvious.

A man stepped from the forestry. Nothing seemed too out of place; it was one of the assailants, obviously. He wasn't aggressing, nor was the other, where ever he was. The one before him was distanced far enough from him. Too far to strike before the Isaki could recover his guard. Close enough to do some damage by his lonesome, never mind the other guy. He grabbed something and tossed it towards the Isaki; without reaching to grab it, it flew and hit his leg, falling onto his feet. Some kind of medical wrap, it appeared. He glanced back up as the man spoke. He had succeeded. They were going to take him to the Hyuuga.

"I'm not the one you should be worried about, but you're not getting a case out of me," he glared at the man for but a moment before grabbing the tape and wrapping it on the all the wounds on his arm; he wasn't going to take the arrow out of his back until he could ensure removal of the arrowhead as well, but he did snap the shaft.

It was time to see the guy in charge. The guy whose family he was to kidnap.
