Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

There was a party of emissaries and merchants who’d been locked in the village far longer than they were planning for, due to the Maelstrom outside the gates. Their complaints had been growing, and finally it had come to a breaching point where the administrative branch of the active government of the underground village had delegated to the academy to provide with entertainment for these guests. For how long, nobody knew. After all, it all depended on the Strom. And how well received their acts for the audience would be, they did not know. And it was during these circumstances that Sazawaris name had been called out during the final minutes of the last class of the last day before the weekend. After everybody else had gone home, the only ones remaining were the befuddled young academy student and four of his peers, all of equal mind; *What the fuck…*

”Now remember, you will be acting as representatives of the greatest pride of the desert! Our pride, and from there our strength, are the shinobi we educate here. Therefore, it will be expected of you all to appear as reflections of our pride and shining examples of the virtues we desire to emphasize. They had heard similar speeches before, and despite the quite possibly most soul moving words, Sazawari could not help but to doze off or let his mind wander into its own little corner of itself. He was brought out of his private fantasy world in a rather unpleasant way by having the legs of his chair kicked away. Already leaning backwards towards the wall by tipping backwards and letting the chair rest on the two legs behind, the external force the kick provided caused the furniture to slide forward. Or rather, the two legs of the chair began to slide. With all his weight leaning backwards and his consciousness in a different place, the laws of physics dictated the outcome of the situation and he slammed backwards, ramming the back of his head against the wall.
”Hey! Pay attention!” The stand-in for the usual instructor was a strange man for the students, a whole new piece in the mosaic of faces of the halls of the academy. He was by far the harshest of the teachers he had encountered so far. Rubbing the back of his head, trying to soothe the throbbing pain in the back of his skull, Sazawari sat up his chair and slumped down onto it. ”Now, go outside and greet them!” They walked with a slouched, protesting drag, rubbing their faces or scratching their heads. As they walked out to the court yard, they straightened up. Somewhat… It looked as if some of the guests had already begun to make up their minds regarding the younglings approaching them.

They decided that the easiest way would be to split up the route with regards to where each of the five students held their residence. After an hour or so with varying degree of enthusiasm and productivity, they managed to split the town map into slices of equal size. The trick was in getting the area with the least amount of road to tour. For once, Sazawari felt that he had definitely come out as one of the winners in that lottery, with a route only fifteen minutes long to walk, included whatever information Sazawari had at the tip of his tongue if they passed by anything work remarking on. And what made the whole task even better was the fact that his field was the second from last, the fourth of the five, giving him plenty of excessive time to waste.
After three tours, Sazawari could feel the effect the lack of recommended physical exercise had on his body. It wasn’t a long tour by far, and he had imagined himself being capable of handling it without any particular problems, but alas he was mistaken. He managed to convince one of the other students to take the last and fourth tour on his area, and with a face drained by exhaustion and hunger he lurched back to his home, wondering if there were any leftovers in the refrigerator.
