Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[col]The Emergency Department is a medical treatment area specializing in emergency medicine, the acute care of patients who present without prior appointment; either by their own means or by that of a stretcher, concerned citizen or friend. The emergency department is found in the Omni Prime Medical Center. Due to the unplanned nature of patient attendance, the department must provide initial treatment for a broad spectrum of illnesses and injuries, some of which may be life-threatening and require immediate attention.

Surprisingly more common than one would like to think, life and limb are both threatened by the activities of the average shinobi. We have 2 distinct types of prosthesis': a flesh prosthetic where the patient's own limb is grafted back in place with the help of medical ninjutsu or that of a cadaver and a mechanical prosthetic. The second is a creation, often made by a tinkerer or a journeyman, these 'works of art' in many cases take weeks if not months to create. Some simply use puppet limbs in place of actual limbs in the meantime or even permanently, but the creation of a prosthetic is a labor of love. The actual attachment process is painful and dangerous and wrought with in many cases a lengthy rehabilitation process.Prosthetics An embarrassing condition where something was stuck inside of a patient and they cannot get it out. While the most common reason or excuse is "I fell on it", few medical professionals actually believe them. What can be found ranges wildly and awkwardly. In some cases surgery is necessary, but in other cases a pair of latex gloves and Vaseline is all that is necessary.

Considering the sensitive nature of this topic -- FOR THE LOVE OF RYOMA KEEP THIS WITHIN SITE RATINGS!
Foreign Body Removal
By far, the most common reason someone seeks medical treatment.

Major trauma is any injury that has the potential to cause prolonged disability or death. There are many causes of major trauma, blunt and penetrating, including falls, sword injuries, ninjutsu mishaps, arrow and gunshot wounds being some basic examples. Depending on the severity of injury, quick management may be necessary to prevent loss of life or limb. The initial assessment involves a physical evaluation and can also include the use of imaging tools to accurately determine a type of injury and to formulate a course of treatment. At times when multiple parties have been inured it may even be necessary to triage those waiting for assistance. A dark truth in medicine, sometimes we have to pick to save one over the other with our limited time and resources.
Trauma
Accidental and purposeful, poisoning is rather commonplace in Sunagakure.

Information about Poisons can be found HERE and there is also a few Yamanaka Poisons to also consider as well. In addition, of course several plants and animals indigenous to Wind Country also have toxic properties. Scorpions being a common source.

Treatment for poisons is often palliative but it can also involve the use of a laxative, emetic or lavage making this one dirty job for some.

[legend="Mission: Emergency Treatment"]Above listed is several common diagnosis's that Suna Medics commonly deal with. Certainly there are other ailments as well and as an Emergency Medic it is your job to treat them all. Feel free to think of your own injury or reason for seeking medical treatment as the above are just a short list of ideas that you are free to use.

  • Rank: Variable. This can also be done by entering a thread with a player and treating a PC as well. While the player being treated will not get mission rewards, you as a medic may submit to the moderator staff of Sand a request for payment and as long as it fulfills the criteria of a GROUP self-modded mission, then you will be compensated as such.

Details: Treat at least one patient who enters the Omni Prime medical center successfully.
[/legend]|
This is Considered to be a Self-Modded Solo Mission
Important: Self-modded missions may be done twice in a week, however the second mission done yields half normal rewards. Players may also perform one mission with 2x the word count in order to gain the rewards of having done two missions. This still only yields half rewards for the second mission.

What Rank of Self-Modded Solo Missions can I perform?
  • A user may only perform a mission of their current OOC Rank or lower. This mission is considered to match the Rank of the Medic or MiT who performs the mission.

What are the rewards for Solo Missions?
  • This depends on the Rank your character is OC'ly. But the rewards are as follows:
    • D-Rank: 2,000 Yen
    • C-Rank: 2,500 Yen
    • B-Rank: 3,000 Yen
    • A-Rank: 4,000 Yen
    • S-Rank: 5,000 Yen

What is the required word count for this mission?
  • The word count is dependent on the rank of the mission you undergo. The word count minimums are as follows:
    • E-Rank: 250 Words
    • D-Rank: 300 Words
    • C-Rank: 350 Words
    • B-Rank: 400 Words
    • A-Rank: 450 Words
    • S-Rank: 500 Words

Someone else has already completed this entry, what now?
  • This entry is considered to be a repetitive entry, meaning that when this mission is completed, it will happen again someplace else. That is the problem with diseases and people catching them! So it is POK for multiple players to do this mission separately.

Can this be a group mission?
  • The answer is YES. Just look-up and follow all group mission rules, this can be a modded or a non-modded mission. As a group (modded or otherwise) mission, this can be used to count towards your Captain status.

I have completed my mission, what now?
  • Drop you mission off in character (IC) HERE.

I am not from Sunagakure but I am visiting and I would like to perform a solo mission listed, is that OK?
  • YES! While you are always welcome to join our community (and we do encourage it), leaving people out of the fun goes against the out of character spirit of this community. You can serve as a mercenary or a helpful foreigner and complete these missions as well, just keep it in character and drop your mission off at the office as listed above but re-linked HERE. Just be sure that you have gotten permission from your primary community.
