Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Aya didn't show much reaction to Ji, She had her target and locked on. It was important to her to take her target out at this point. IF he was the MVP then the game would end, but if Shizuka was the MVP then they wouldn't win. Time was almost up, good thing there was timer because this could go on for a while longer. Shizuka was much more powerful, at least from what she could tell, it kinda annoyed her, but Aya wouldn't let that show. Aya's first shot was a trick shot, the two shots seemed to miss, but with a little chakra pulling they hit. Her arrows were just solid air bullets, so after hitting, they disappeared just to leave the wound empty.

Shizuka made a clone, Aya wasn't sure which one was real, but as soon as it was made, it was destroyed. Doi struck Ji and the clone with a lightning beast, destroying the clone and hurting Ji. The real Shizuka targeted her teammate, Ryuichi, and like that he was downed, and looked to be in serious condition. He wasn't the MVP so the game didn't end. Aya didn't seem faltered either, she did worry, but they were in the middle of battle. She was not a medic, so it was pointless to go over. He'd be back into the game soon.

Aya shot again, using a curve shot to hit Ji. And it did. Hopefully, he'd go down with a few more shots because once he's down, she'd target Shizuka.

But Shizuka was gone? Aya was not sure where her enemy went, which meant any of them could be her next target. Ji seemed to panic and tried transforming to look like Aya, but it was obvious that it was still him. Aya was too in the zone to show any reaction, but she was internally laughing.

Whatever, Aya had her target. She'd hope to take out with this next shot, Aya rapidly fires two more shots at Ji, both a hit. But it wasn't enough to keep Ji down. She readied her bow again, hopefully, they'd last till the end of the game.

With the clone in place she moved forward. There were various things that bothered her, the most important being Eiji’s wellbeing - she didn’t want him to get hurt, but there really was no way around it. If they wanted to get to the opponents’ sweet spot, whoever that turned out to be, they had to act. This meant that she had to leave Eiji to handle things on his own. A part of her believed that he would be able to, but Doi’s presence was a huge nuisance. She took the risk.

Unfortunately, she watched a part of her plan disintegrate when the clone got hit by lightning. Of course, it could have been worse. So, without letting the incident get to her, she proceeded with her plan. The water whip struck its target - she hadn’t meant for it to be too hard, but it looked like it had ended up being hard enough for Uri to jump in. Well, he was there for a reason, right? They were supposed to play it hard, sort of.

Hence she disappeared beneath the ground. Her target hadn’t changed. She wanted for Ryuuchi to be out of sight. That way, hopefully, she would get the opportunity to confuse his teammates by pretending to be him.

Grabbing her opponents feet she pulled, trying to trap him beneath the ground. It seemed to work. Now was the time to transform and- Well.. obviously Uri had slightly blown her cover, regardless of that she moved on. Doi seemed to see through, Aya appeared to be too busy with Eiji. Speaking of - Shizuka’s eyes widened. The hits he had taken while she had ran off to do her own thing looked quite bad. An instant pang of guilt had her deciding on her next steps as she pulled the shuriken out of the pouch on the side of her hip.

The tiredness from before faded somewhat to the background. A quick roll of her shoulders threw off the light aching from the hits she had taken. Water still covered the area, allowing her to breathe in the nice, refreshing air. Whether or not the others were aware that she was Ryuuchi seemed insignificant now. Eiji appeared to have their attention to an extent. The sight of him trying to imitate the girl from the other team was fairly amusing. Was the name - Aya, yes! She had it, then she moved forward.

A hound-like beast made of lightning left the hands of Doi and made its way towards Eiji. The academy student was able to dodge in time, but the jutsu continued onward. The beast made of lightning eventually struck what appeared to be Suzuka. Surprisingly enough, it was actually a clone made of mud. Only after the clone dispersed into mud did Doi realize this specific detail.

The genin slightly grimaced once he’d seen what the real Shizuka had done to Ryuichi. A strong hit from a sturdy whip of water struck him with a lot of force. There was little doubt in his mind that Ryuichi would have a difficult time getting back up from that one. Thinking to himself, Doi felt he could have done a better job of protecting his teammates. Ryuichi had taken the most damage out of his entire team.

Turning his attention back over to the other participants in the battle, he noticed one thing in particular. Eiji had made an attempt to transform into Aya, but to no avail. Doi could clearly see where the real Aya stood. Not just that, but the transformation itself had a couple of inconsistencies. It was very unlikely that someone could’ve been fooled considering it all.

“Water Release: Watershark Bomb,” yelled Doi as he slammed his hands on the wet ground. From the place of contact arose a group of five sharks made completely of water. His intention was to divide the amount of sharks between his two opponents. The three sharks he’d sent towards Eiji hit their mark, crashing into the boy and doing some damage. Of the two he sent at Shizuka only one hit its intended target. The one that hadn’t hit crashed against the barrier of blue fire and dispersed.

Doi somehow managed to lose track of his rival the moment after. ’Where’d she go? Underground?

The battle continues on. It was getting clear which team had the working plan, and which didn’t. Still, he acknowledged their stubbornness. For now, that would do. It could be a problem later on, but seeing how this was just their first time in a team scenario, he figured he’d give them some leeway.

It wouldn’t be long before the fight would have to come to an end. He glanced down at his watch before nodding. Then, he jumped into the middle of the battlefield, letting his chakra run across the field, a show of blue flames running across but not burning, more like a light show before it disappeared. Then, he Karura flew back down to perch on his shoulder as he spoke, “Okay, that’s enough. Today’s exercise has ended. The winner is Team Cheesecake, only for their team work effort. However, I will not discount Team Creampuff from doing their relentless assaults. It was, indeed, a type of battle that pitted defense and offense, and I’m sure you all may have learned something from today’s exercise as is. While it’s important to become strong as an individual, the battles in the future may revolve around teams. You will also have to figure out how you can contribute to your team’s goal and preservation.”

He paused before giving them a thumbs up with a goofy smile. “B+. Now, go and get your injuries treated at the clinic. And send in a reflection paper on this battle to the academy office by tomorrow. That should be all for today. Class dismissed.”

He was about to leave when he stops and turns around to glance at them and say, “Oh right, the tea house at the coliseum will be having a summer fiesta promo tomorrow too. If you’re all free, come and join us. My treat… ah, but Ryuuichi and Eiji will have to work at least half of the time but they should be able to join us for at least an hour. See you all.”

And with that, Uri would bid them farewell and leave.

Aya was targeting Ji when suddenly she was forced to the ground by something heavy, it knocked the wind out of her. It was a stream of wood, luckily it didn't crush her to the point where she couldn't move. She was able to stand back up, and take aim. She knew it was Shizuka who cast that jutsu, she probably could take on all three of them by herself, if she wasn't busy protecting Ji. Aya was bruised pretty badly and had quite a few scrapes and small cuts, but it was nothing new to her. She's moved through worse pain before, she just kept her mind off of it, and on her target.

Aya shot two quick shots, which only hit another shield, but it destroyed the shield. The shields annoyed Aya, but at least it was gone, so she could shoot again. Aya shot a curve shot the missed, this was the first time she missed, so it did get on her nerves, especially since time was up, and that was her last chance to get someone out.

Aoi sensei said team cheesecake had won, they did do better, and they were at least able to get one of her teammates knocked out. Shizuka was no little girl though, she was powerful, she probably could pass as a chunnin, maybe she already was and their sensei decided to put students against someone way above their level. Aya had never used teamwork when fighting, plus she had nothing to protect her teammates, so even if she wanted to, the only thing she could do was attack, she was still just a student after all. She assumed her other teammates were students too. It was bit unfair to expect them to already have the set of Jutsu Shizuka already had, but life was unfair, so Aya just shrugged it off. She would win next time because next time she will be better, faster, and stronger.

Aoi dismissed the class and invited them to come to eat at the Tea Houses summer fiesta, she probably would free food was a call she would almost always say yes too. He also suggested to go to the hospital, but Aya wasn't going to go. If she could walk, and breath okay, she'd be fine. She just needed to sleep it off and soak in the shower.

"Thanks for the class, I'll see y'all tomorrow then," Aya stated then she started to walk back to the dorms. SHe would be training later since now she felt like she was behind. She needed to catch up, and pass these other guys.

Ryuichi was almost overwhelmed with the chaos of the field. In one moment he was trying to keep up, and attempt to use lightning ninjutsu to slow down their new priority target, Shizuka. Her control over water, and earth release posed far more of a threat than Eiji ever could in this fight, and he was sure his allies thought the same. 'Right! Just gotta find an opening. Find an opening....find...'

With that Ryuichi was hit by something. Something STRONG. Was that...a whip of water? Shit, he had let the girl go past his guard. He split up blood and his sharingan faded. His vision went blurry. Was he losing consciousness? It was dark. It felt bitter. Like he could do more.

Before even his thought faded into nothing, he was given emergency healing by Uri. He woke right back up, and weezed. He looked up to see the battle going on, and ran back out . His eyes going red, and a determination being lit behind them. Lightning chakra began to spark in his hands. Seeing Shizuka focus more on his two team mates was no surprise. He fell, and was healed. He wasn't the MVP. Not a target.

He smiled, getting his jutsu ready. "Denka (Electrocution)!" He yelled, pointing at shizuka. Electrically infused chakra flew from his hand, across the field...and into the dirt. He had missed. "Shit. One more-" He said before Uri's light show. He wasn't able to contribute...anything. His attacks hit walls, and dirt and he was nothing but a hindrance. He grit his teeth, and nodded at Uri's statement. 'Giving the whole class a B+...a bit generous. But I'll get better to avoid letting this happen. Yeah...' He thought, looking at the entire group.

Seeing Aya his previous nervous behavior didn't make itself known due to himself being in a pretty bad mood. "Yeah. I'll see ya tomorrow." He said to her. Though, for now he wanted to stay behind.

Doi braced himself for impact as he saw the incoming attack approaching. The shield of storm energy he'd put up earlier in the match was able to shield him from any damage. Aya wasn't as fortunate. Once the attack passed and the dust settled, Doi eyed down what remained of the wooden dome Shizuka put up. It didn't seem like it would last much longer, but the genin was thoroughly impressed by the wooden dome's resilence. It was able to withstand the force of a full power Gigavolt Cannon; one of his strongest techniques to date.

The clone he'd made was trying to get close enough to strike Eiji, but it seemed like the wooden dome was preventing it from getting any close. Fortunately enough, Aya was able to take it down with a strong arrow immediately afterwards. Doi managed to get one final hit on Shizuka with his Aqua Fang technique before Aoi stepped in to stop the battle.

Once the winners of the mock battle were chosen, and everyone was assigned a letter grade of B+, the group of children began to disperse. Doi figured he'd pass on doing the assignment that was due first thing tomorrow morning. It probably wouldn't affect him due to no longer being a Academy student.

"Hey, Ryuichi. Sorry, I couldn't do much to protect you back there..." Doi said was he passed by the younger boy. "Maybe I'll swing by the tea house tomorrow."

With that said, Doi left the Academy grounds and headed home. The mock battle made him realize that his teamwork skills were severely lacking. It was definitely something he'd need to improve on going forward.

The last moments of the fight would happen, and with the plans sorted, Eiji would go defensive. If neither of them got knocked out... they would be able to hold out for the future. Eiji seemed to be the pawn, taking the aggro of the fight and attention with his words... but he was a defender. Shizuka was the MVP. Though, he may have been the weakest one here, he was smarter than many of them would give him credit for. Shizuka was a quiet behemoth with how powerful she was... But maybe she wasnt old enough to join higher ranks. Which was smart... because it didnt matter how strong a person was... they would need field experience to prove they knew how to lead, and direct a team. 'I will show that... no matter how weak I may seem. I will show... that I'm not just how strong I am... ro am not...'

Eiji had seen the attack from Aya before, and with everything that happened previously was just going to get him into a moment that he would be able to prepare himself. And as the Dome would crumble, Eiji would body switch with another log... but Aya was smart. She curved another shot at him, which, he'd seemed to have anticipated well enough by moving his body out of the way... skidding to a halt before Uri would call out to them.

'Good... Its over...' kneeling and catching his breath, Eiji's brain and body were at their current limits. Anything more would cause him to make a fatal mistake. Looking to Shizuka, "We did it... Heh, I couldnt have done it without you. You're a strong partner.", nodding again Eiji felt himself smiling as he got back to his feet and then huffing at the notion of having to work before they got to enjot the festivities. "Gah, Alright Aoi-senpai.". Looking over to his other rivals, Aya and Ryu. He had much to learn to get to a level that he would be comparable to their speed and finesse, but he would surely continue his reading... he was smart enough to keep up with them, even if he took some short cuts.

Though something was weird... like he felt someone had their hands on his shoulders... softly placing them down and speaking into his ear. "...Laziness wont get you anywhere...", though it was only a voice that Eiji would hear himself. He'd turn his head quickly to see nothing was there...

'I must be tired... Geez.', "Oioi, Ryu, I'll see you back at the Teahouse... and Aya, I'll be seeing you when we have our one on one.", smirking he'd wave to the group before brushing his clothes off and managing himself to leave this battle with the idea of everyone's skills. Though, how many knew his skills? Heh, he'd keep his secret... even the fact he was adept to Earth jutsu... he would keep everything hidden for as long as he could...

Wasnt that the reason for being an ANBU? Who knew... but he was headed back to the teahouse right now...

In awkward and unpredictable ways things seemed to work out quite alright. Ryuichi was back up onto his feet before the class ended, Eiji too, appeared to be to be fine. She shook off the stinging sensation of water against her skin after Doi made use of a gap between actions to get to her. The raining helped to wash away the pain, and after a few deep breaths the redness faded. No injuries, but she could use a snack or a quick nap to recharge some of her chakra - perhaps in the future she would have to be a bit more careful, she realized and took a mental note to try to waste as little energy as she could in the next fight.

“Yeah, haha, we did.” She offered a smile back, letting the rain stop. Getting warm clothes was a priority for her, besides there was no need to go to the hospital. “You too.” The reply was a serious one. Even if he wasn’t as strong as her when it came down to attacking or defending, he sensed what to do, smoothly followed up and somehow their conversation had gone well with barely any words. This was the first time she had been able to work this well with someone she hadn’t practiced with. Everything had turned out fine.

Summer fiesta promo?, that definitely sounded like food. Right?

The eleven year old grinned slyly. “See you guys at the teahouse, then.”

Blinking she watched most leave. The temptation to run home and get a nice shower and a thick sweater was great, but.. her eyes followed Eiji. He had been pretty drained during the spar. Somehow, it felt wrong to leave him behind. Even if he had been the one to leave them behind first.. though, those were details.

Shizuka lightly chewed on her lip. As the guy was about to turn the corner she figured out that making sure he got to the hospital - or his home - she wasn’t entirely sure where he was heading to, would be a good thing. Running after him she didn’t appear next to him, instead, the young Senju made her way onto a nearby roof. Quietly hoping from one to the other, she silently followed Eiji until he appeared to have reached his destination.

Hopping down the roof, the green-eyed girl landed about two steps away. Behind him. “Booh!” she whispered, grinning widely. Something about her spoke of the same satisfaction a cat showed when getting its prey.

“Just wanted to make sure you’re alright.” Getting a bit on her toes, she reached out and patted him on the head, then smirked gently before disappearing to get her favorite bear sweater.

Ryuichi rubbed his closed crimson eyes, feeling the aftereffects of him trying to utilize too much chakra in them. He let out a sigh, and took his hands down losing himself in thought. His own movements were slow, predictable, and weak compared to Shizuka, or Doi. Almost entirely outclassed. Eiji, and Aya however...

Aya was skilled. She kept a distance and did whatever she could to contribute. She was skilled, maybe stronger than he was. EIji...he didn't look like he was trying. He had learned the body switch technique, which he hadn't known in their training with Uri. He was training. He was getting stronger. Why was this making Ryuichi so mad? He was almost teeming with rage.

He didn't answer Doi's goodbye, despite how he would usually be happy that he could fulfill his previous promise of Doi having some amazing tea. He walked beside Eiji, and froze. What was that? For just a split moment Ryuichi thought that he had seen another figure. A wispy form made of chakra beside Eiji holding what looked like an arm on his shoulder. It was only for a moment, and had a very vague somewhat huminoid shape that Ryuichi could only see as a mess of chakra, much like the normal blue/brown colored chakra that Eiji had, but...a bright pink.

Something was up. Ryuichi's anger subsided to be more of a feeling of worry, and wonder. He stepped up to Eiji and slapped him on the back.

"Yo Eiji. Ya did good, hiding behind a girl like that." He joked, poking fun at him to hide his very tense actions and expression. "I'll see ya at the teahouse." He started walking past his partner-in-training for a few steps before one thing came to mind. Eiji didn't seem into this. It didn't look like he was taking this as seriously as he could. Despite any work that Eiji did, the way he looked and carried himself made the idea very clear in the white haired boy's head. 'Could that be involved with that weird chakra?' He thought.

Regardless of that, Ryuichi stopped walking and looked back at Eiji. His single-tomoed sharingan scanning around him trying to see that strange chakra once more. A few glances over Eiji resulted in the student giving a faux smile. "I'll beat you next time. Count on it." He said, not noticing as his own pupils warped and seemed to ripple as a second tomoe emerged in his crimson eyes. With a thumbs up, and his sharingan fading Ryuichi said to him "I'll be buying some body weights. I suggest you do the same for strength training, or I'll pass ya up in that."

And with that he left for the medical ward with plans for the shopping district

On the way out after a simple patch up, and an eye checkup due to his complaints on eye itching (with no seen problems) he said goodbye to Aya, and Doi. Not feeling enough of a connection to Shizuka to give a personal farewell. With one more wave he grinned. "See you fools tomorrow."
