While maintaining his jutsu, Onyx glanced towards both Akane and Ri, his brain going over what he had saw from both of them in that quick exchange. Neither had done anything that would give him a calling card to their abilities, something which mentally agitated him. They were to work as a team on this level of familiarity with each other against someone experienced like Mori. His teeth would grit against each other slightly before his form motioned back somewhere near Akane. Although they weren't aware of it, he knew Mori's visual instincts were playing tricks on him with just how many of Akane he could perceive. Speaking under his breath, though his voice perfectly mimic'd Akane's, he'd make a simple statement towards her.
"Be smart, not brash. He's far more experienced to be struck by simple tactics. Basic can only go so far..."
With that something began to change upon his body, a dormant power started to seep into his mind. His special breed of Kikai would begin to awaken throughout his body. He had already prepared contingencies should something happen which he was not expecting. In the back of his mind however he still was unsure of each of their roles in this new team. The girl had used a katon and a raiton jutsu, neither which were uncommon and the other male had done something with some cordage and shadows. Could he have been a descendant of the Nara clan he wondered. They both also apparently used blades..
Were their talents in various fields, or were they simply confused on what to specialize in. No, this was to much to contemplate in such a small span of time, they had to engage once again.
