Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[col]Kinjutsu are a special set of abilities and skills that are very difficult and costly to gain. Though not all are technically "Forbidden", this is the term used to describe these skills as well as the practitioners who assist in these endeavors. All of the kinjutsus associated with the medical branch require surgical intervention and they are considered macabre because of the questionable resources utilized. While this is all being done legitimately within the walls of the Omni Prime Medical Center, it is considered to be one of Sunagakure's dirty little secrets.

Abomination

Curse Seals are some of the most controversial seals among the shinobi world, granting their bearers with great power, at the cost of reducing their life span with each use. Few choose risking such a price in exchange for this great power, and even fewer survive the gruesome agony as their chakra systems forcibly sync into darker variants. Yet, among the survivors who bear the Curse seal, it is almost unheard of for the body to completely accept and form symbiosis with these seals. These are the Abomination, shinobi who’s body has absorbed and mutated with the Curse seal to the point where it no longer is an actual seal, but a natural reaction produced completely within their bodies through enzymes, their seal only a tattoo of what they once were. Often called monsters, these shinobi have greater seal strength than even the most powerful Curse warriors, yet this control is only partial. Though their body's have adapted to the dark energies within them to where their transformations no longer seem human, their mind is not as easily immune to the effects, and throughout an Abomination's life they will experience great mental trauma, and often show extreme signs of being Bipolar.

While medics do not necessarily scribe the seals, they do sometimes treat the recovering sealed victim/patient.

Chimera

A Dark, forbidden technique that has been created in many forms, secretly developed throughout the shinobi world in an attempt to gain special powers normally unacquirable by normal means. Whether it be a country's attempt to steal the kekkei genkai of other shinobi nations and use their powers for their own, or on a personal level to compensate for an individual's own lack of power, one cannot deny the appealing aspect of having control and mastery over multiple kekkei genkai; to be a hybrid breed possessing the special secret techniques of many clans throughout the world. This forbidden practice alters the body of the user in such a way as to allow them to integrate the energies and capabilities of a shinobi into their own body and spirit, merging the two together and creating a hybrid mix, the user becoming a "Chimera" and possessing the strength and traits of their multiple mixes. While in theory one would assume this would create the perfect breed, a mixture of all the most powerful genetics, in practice one can never truly master these abilities, and the "Chimera" suffer from having their body's vitality and life force drained upon the strain of merging with foreign Bloodlines.

While there is no one way to make a Chimera, often two parties are the most successful at forging a Chimera -- the mystical and the medical. Obviously, Medics being a member of the later school they use surgical intervention to essentially graft multiple bodies together. This is often frowned upon by outside parties, so officially we are not a party to this kind of behavior but for the right man or woman to preserve or rather enhance their skill set, concessions might be made.

Byakugan Transplant

The mighty Byakugan, one of the most prodigious Doujutsu in the shinobi world that can only be found within the Hyuuga Clan. Known for perhaps being the ultimate trump card for taijutsu users, this Doujutsu is a prized trophy for many who would have the Hyuuga's powers for their own. Yet, few have actually been known to possess this eye due to the fact that it is quiet difficult to best a Hyuuga in battle, and it is not uncommon for Hyuuga to brand their clansmen with Seals that prevent their clan's secrets from falling into the wrong hands. However, should one manage to get their hands on one of these all-seeing eyes, they find that not only do they possess the ability to see all forms of chakra around them similar to the Hyuuga, but that they also gain access to a variety of Byakugan enabled skills...Though they will never has as much grace as a true Hyuuga.

This transplant is almost always done by a trained Medic.

Human Puppet

A forbidden practice all but forgotten except in the most forbidden scrolls, this highly restricted Kinjutsu involves shinobi converting themselves....into something which is no longer human. Many puppeteers wander the land, some more skilled than others, utilizing their puppets and their various traps to overwhelm an opponent. Yet, few would actually succumb so far into their obsession with puppetry far as to think of converting themselves into a weapon, their bodies modified into a living puppet. It is not unheard of for shinobi to replace lost limbs into puppet prosthetics, however there are few who would proceed to a darker degree and convert their entire body into that of a puppet, removing all organs and blood, save for their heart and consciousness which is transferred into a small, compact casing which is the only trophy of their past humanity. From this point on, they are living dummies, or Human Puppets, uneffected by some of the most common shinobi weaknesses such as Bleeding or exhaustion.

Considered a travesty, we still practice this but we keep our techniques a secret from everyone but our own personal students.

Rikudo Sennin
Meaning Sage of Six Paths, this is a title that represents little more than a legend or child's story of fabled shinobi that wandered the lands generations upon generations ago. Legends tell of shinobi born with a powerful affinity to every single element in the world of shinobi, capable of performing and mastering any technique with ease and perfection. The individuals possessed abilities that seemed to be on a level far above mortals, even going so far as to consider these gifted individuals as the incarnation of Gods themselves. Over the years, the power has dimmed down and faded to a shadow of its former glory, and this power is now believed to be myth...But rarely, every few generations a shinobi is born with outstanding potential that just might possibly be remnants of this fabled power.

There is much more to a Rikudo Sennin than legend. A Rikudo Sennin has the ability to separate their consciousness from their original body, dividing their consciousness among multiple bodies available to their command and control. The user may link their mind with up to five additional bodies at once. These bodies are of the dead and they are linked to the Rikudo Sennin and preserved through a variety of chemical or mystical means. At times Medics will either supply the bodies or assist in the process of creating a new path. Often this is an intimate moment for a Rikudo Sennin, so often Medics are not there to witness this transaction but for the few who have bore witness, it is said to be 'interesting.'

Sharingan Implant

The Sharingan is an ability well known throughout the Shinobi world, respected by some, feared by others. However, none can deny the abilities of the Uchiha clan, and there are many who would desire this ability for their own. It is uncommon, but not rare, for Shinobi to have gained the sharingan from an Uchiha through one method or another and with delicate surgery, though only a handful are able to synchronize with the eye to bring out nearly its full use. Though try as the might, they will never have the same control as an Uchiha, and cannot Deactivate their Sharingan, a fact that takes a toll upon their bodies and leaves them with lower stamina than their peers.

This almost always requires the surgical intervention of a trained medic.

[legend="Mission: Kinjutsu Invervention"]Above listed is several kinjutsus that involve to a level Medic intervention. Pick a kinjutsu and assist either a player (for self-modded group rewards) or an NPC (for solo modded rewards) in obtaining a kinjutsu. This can be used by a player to apply for their kinjutsu as the reason why or how they came to be a RS, Abomination, Chimera, etc.

  • Rank: Medic Nin or Medic Captain. MiTs can assist a Medic or a Medic Captain. While this is considered to be a solo mission, it can become a group mission.

Details: Assist an NPC or a player character in obtaining a kinjutsu through medical intervention.
[/legend]

[legend="Mission: Cold Storage"]Kinjutsus require raw materials. Specifically, they require bodies or at the very least parts of bodies that are in relatively good condition. while that might sound easy, most people die for a reason be it age, injury or disease. safe, viable body parts that are not too worn or diseased or injured are actually rather hard to come by. It is your job to identify the few that are 'good' and to store them.

  • Rank: Variable

Details: But the bodies of dead NPC or PCs from various honored houses and core abilities in cold storage. If only part of them is good, recover what is good, then tag and bag it.

This is Considered to be a Self-Modded Solo Mission
Important: Self-modded missions may be done twice in a week, however the second mission done yields half normal rewards. Players may also perform one mission with 2x the word count in order to gain the rewards of having done two missions. This still only yields half rewards for the second mission.

What Rank of Self-Modded Solo Missions can I perform?
  • A user may only perform a mission of their current OOC Rank or lower. This mission is considered to match the Rank of the Medic or MiT who performs the mission.

What are the rewards for Solo Missions?
  • This depends on the Rank your character is OC'ly. But the rewards are as follows:
    • D-Rank: 2,000 Yen
    • C-Rank: 2,500 Yen
    • B-Rank: 3,000 Yen
    • A-Rank: 4,000 Yen
    • S-Rank: 5,000 Yen

What is the required word count for this mission?
  • The word count is dependent on the rank of the mission you undergo. The word count minimums are as follows:
    • E-Rank: 250 Words
    • D-Rank: 300 Words
    • C-Rank: 350 Words
    • B-Rank: 400 Words
    • A-Rank: 450 Words
    • S-Rank: 500 Words

Someone else has already completed this entry, what now?
  • This entry is considered to be a repetitive entry, meaning that when this mission is completed, it will happen again someplace else. That is the problem with diseases and people catching them! So it is POK for multiple players to do this mission separately.

Can this be a group mission?
  • The answer is YES. Just look-up and follow all group mission rules, this can be a modded or a non-modded mission. As a group (modded or otherwise) mission, this can be used to count towards your Captain status.

I have completed my mission, what now?
  • Drop you mission off in character (IC) HERE.

I am not from Sunagakure but I am visiting and I would like to perform a solo mission listed, is that OK?
  • YES! While you are always welcome to join our community (and we do encourage it), leaving people out of the fun goes against the out of character spirit of this community. You can serve as a mercenary or a helpful foreigner and complete these missions as well, just keep it in character and drop your mission off at the office as listed above but re-linked HERE. Just be sure that you have gotten permission from your primary community.
