Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A gentle breeze swept through the fields of the Nimbus Delectatio, rustling grass, flowers, and trees alike as the moon shone through the clouds in the evening sky. The howl of a distant pack of wolves caused meeker fauna to stir, causing a cacophony of panicked squeaks, chirps, and whatnot. After just a few minutes, however, the field these creatures called home grew quiet as they one by one returned to the safety of their burrows and returned to sleep. After all, there was no immediate danger and thus no reason for them to worry.

On serene nights like those, anyone would be hard pressed to be anxious. Perhaps that was why Ginyama Senshiro was there tonight, crouching by a nearby stream and using the water to wash away the stains on his face and his soul. Although it had been several years since Ikari last dominated his own personality, the veteran shinobi took great precautions to not let his emotions build up too much, and this nightly ritual helped to ease the turmoil burdening him.

"This is my village," he started chanting his mantra as he sat down on a nearby rock and closed his eyes. "Without my village, I am nothing."

As he continued to affirm his place among his fellow shinobi, however, something seemed to be missing from what he was saying; although there was some truth to his words, at some level he knew it wasn't a complete truth. Yet he had no idea what was missing. So, after only a minute of meditation, Senshiro stopped with a sigh.

"What am I missing?"

The forest was always the one place that connected him to his ancestors, in more ways than one. Kiri looked up to the canopy of trees as he arranges his necktie properly before looking back down to the secret lake to gaze at his appearance. He was no longer the nosy brat from before. It was a long story of curses and panics, and ultimately, he was resigned to simply grow old normally all over again. And that’s when more ridiculous things happened and somehow he managed to return to his original form… err… body. He grinned as he realized that with his longer hair now, he resembled Hogosha more than ever, though he seemed to have inherited Yakujou’s more androgynous facial features. He’d like to talk with them again. Soon. But he’ll have to wait for the next Blood Moon.

One last check as he puts on the black suit over his red vest, he then turns on his heels and walks out through the misty forest floor. It was a hidden part of the forest and would take a few turns before he could get back to where the normal path under the trees were. From there, he wondered how he would fare. He’d most definitely need to do some meeting with the Raikage, and perhaps with his old man. The latter was probably more concerned for his disappearance for a long time. And Osu…. well, there were simply too many to find and make his greetings after all these years of unanswered and… well, even he would feel hard-pressed as to how to explain the entire journey.

He stopped on his tracks when he felt a presence nearby. He knew that the forest was filled with life, but there were those that always stuck out. Those with above average chakra flowing in their veins, no matter how well they wish to hide it. Quite interesting, he thought, but he wasn’t going to be deterred from his path. So he kept walking, wondering about the state of the hospital, of who did bedpan duties, of the clinics, of who replenished their stocks, basically all his duties before he left and if someone bothered to take over during his absence.

Kiri wasn't the only one able to pick up on unusual presences, and as he stopped in his tracks, Senshiro grew silent and surveyed the surrounding area by sight and sound.

"Someone else is here."

He quickly rose from his sitting position before stomping the ground with his foot. As the faint tremors pulsed through the earth, he could sense a person somewhere within the forest upstream from the field he was in. Although whoever this was standing still for the moment, their active passivity concerned him--after all, his experience with the ANBU taught him to plan for the worst, even assassins.

"Perhaps I should bite the bait to lure him out myself."

Senshiro nodded slightly at his own cunning before dusting off his own suit and walking towards the edge of the forest, pausing and looking around as though he heard something stirring within.

"Is someone there?" he asked , feigning obliviousness while keeping his wits about him.

It would seem as the other entity in this forest had spotted him as well. Kiri sighed. He really didn’t want to get into trouble early on, especially as he has just returned. But there was a call. He had half the mind to ignore and leave, hoping that would at least stop him from doing anything reckless. But the other half told him that it would be rude, not to mention a bit childish if he simply left without a proper greeting. And Puicca would be damned if he didn’t learn a thing or too on etiquette with his stay in their realm.

Looking from side to side, glancing between ends of the pathway, one to the source of the voice, and the other to the deeper ends of the forest, Kiri chose the former. He made sure to walk with careful attention, not so much as to attract any unwanted animosity. He could already feel this other person’s chakra stiffening. If he were to describe it… it was like deep-fried tofu without the seasoning. If that made sense…

And once he was within view, he raised one hand, not so much as to wave, but to alert of his presence sans any weapons in view. “Hello,” was his brief reply, and a candid smile on his face. Not too wide, nor too narrow or straight. He still needed to brush up on interaction again… at least with humans, it would seem.

Senshiro turned his head towards the now visible man as the latter revealed himself to the former. Despite not wielding any obvious weaponry, the war survivor knew all too well that a shinobi was a weapon in and of themselves and thus remained vigilant of the unknown man.

"Hello," he greeted him with a nod, taking that brief moment to take a mental snapshot of his appearance and chakra signature. Every detail about how this man looked--from his white hair that was bit longer than usual for a man to his androgynous features that made his own gaunt features seem as hard as crude masonry to the uncanny sense of fashion they both shared to even the chakra that seemed too relaxed to be a good sign--was stored away into his memory.

"I was meditating downstream when I heard you," he told him, masking his Kyoujouran heritage with a small lie. "May I ask what brings you out here this evening?"
