Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Name: (Murakami) Funai

Age: 12

Gender/Sex: Male

Character's Physical Description:
Funai is a boy of average height with a slight build. His frame appears frail at first glance, but the densely packed muscle that clings to his bones becomes quickly apparent when studied closer. As a child raised in Iwagakure, Funai’s slightly pale skin is rough and callused from daily work. He has yet to broaden in the shoulders, and his growing body is still clumsy despite its strength. His light brown hair is short but unruly, usually pretty dirty late in the day after activities. Funai’s stronger cheekbones and thin frame give him a gaunt appearance, typical of a boy from Iwagakure or a peasant from Maruishi.

Character's Mental Description:
Funai is a quiet boy, often found staring into space by himself. Socially he just fits in, able to play with other boys but he does not often laugh or smile. This feeling extends from his sense of loneliness. Even though Funai is of average intelligence, he is often mistaken as stupid since he is slow to speak when addressed. Funai has too much respect for higher authority, and follows orders and rules to a fault. He also has an obsession with winning, and he makes every small task into a game or race. He wants to be the best at whatever he does, and does not take kindly to challenging opponents. For Funai, there is no such thing as a friendly competition. This competitiveness only extends to physical activities, for Funai is unmoved by verbal bouts. While he is able to remain composed to the point of boredom during a debate, physical challenges are taken to an extreme.

History:
To Funai, names mean everything. He has never met his birth parents, but adopted their surname as his given name. Keeping them in his life, even though it is only figurative, is important to him. In Iwagakure, it is uncommon to use a surname when been addressed, which is what triggered Funai to fully accept his birthparent’s surname as his own given name. It is also unclear to him what his given name actually is, which leaves more of a mark on him than he lets on. Funai hopes to someday meet his mother or father, as he has only heard vague stories about them from his godparents. Even though it is unclear, Funai feels strongly that they are still alive and miss him.

Funai was raised by his godfather, Souji, and his godmother, Megumi, both members of the Murakami clan. The Murakami clan has a long history in the Earth Country, mostly filled with working class citizens dedicated to being strong and respectful. While Megumi still holds many of the clan’s values close, Souji has distanced himself from his relatives for unspoken but quite obvious reasons. As such, the religion of the household is somewhat in flux, Funai mostly following his godfather in his lack of faith. However, Funai grew up helping his godmother around the house while his godfather worked, and has been influenced by that much more than he likes to believe. In general, Funai’s upbringing was rather uneventful. He mainly helped his godmother around the house for the first part of the day, and then either went into town with her or went off to play with other boys. At the age of 12, Funai was given the choice to join the academy.

(Not much happens to 12 year olds, eh?)
