Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

I thought that would never end.

Ena emerged from the stale classroom into open air. The day was warm; too warm to be considered beautiful unless you were visiting the beach. Where's the closest beach? It was a good question. Ena had no clue. Oh well. There was only a few hours of free time before his mom would expect him home. He would use it to practice his throws.

He didn't have to stroll far before finding an adequate area to practice. Before him was a small grassy area with a number of trees, like a small park close to the school. Classes were sometimes brought here for demonstrations, but it was rarely used by students on their own. There was no one here now. Ena preferred it that way.

He lined up a short distance from the best tree. It was deemed to be the best tree by Ena for it's width and a very noticeable knot around head high that would serve as the target. Ena knelt down, dropping his bag on the ground and rummaging through it for his practice kunai. He had five, but for whatever reason, could only find four in the bag. Did he lose one? Leave it at home? Four would have to do. He took them out and zipped his bag closed before taking a few steps away to fall into his stance. He held all four practice kunai in his hands. They were deemed practice kunai for being a little lighter and a little smaller than normal, making them easier to throw for students. He would graduate to the real thing when he was ready. Ena locked his eyes onto the knot of the tree, and threw all four.

Not a single one hit the knot, or the tree at all for the matter. One of them went nearly ninety degrees to the left into the branches of another tree. Maybe that's how I lost the other. The others just landed on the ground thirty feet behind his target. Ena held his stance for a split second, then quickly glanced around to make sure no one was watching. It seemed like the coast was clear.

Maybe I just won't practice today. I'm gonna be a ninjutsu specialist anyway. It's much more cool just to shoot fire out of your hands like, that would be awesome.

As he started walking to retrieve the thrown daggers, he dreamed of throwing a the biggest fireball anyone has ever seen.

Students of every kind packed the age-old halls of the Academy, in a hurry to begin the lazy hours spent wandering the village after class. Among the tide was a dark-haired girl with a heavy bag slung over her shoulders and an empty afternoon. She made her way carefully through the crowd of her peers and out of the Academy’s main entrance. The day had grown comfortably scorching, and Hikaru chose a shaded path along the school’s property that would keep her outside without getting too warm.

As she hiked through the grounds, the air hung around her skin in waves, making her grateful for the meager shade provided by the thin covering of leaves above her. Her mind began to wander… she had been busy lately with missions and classes, so busy, in fact, that she hadn’t gotten much time in between to train. Her somewhat unique chakra control was ever-present, and she had been applying it whenever she could… but when was the last time she had stood in the library or on her balcony and practiced? Hikaru began circling back around to the Academy’s entrance when she saw a flash of steel out of the corner of her eye. A kunai buried its head in the grass several meters in front of her, nearby a quaint park-like enclosure sometimes used by the school. When Hikaru investigated, she saw a boy about her age with light blue hair approaching another wayward kunai. The girl quickly knelt to retrieve the one nearest to her and waved to him, walking in his direction with the lightweight blade held carefully in one hand. Once she had closed the distance between them, she offered it to him, greeting him, “Here you are! I’m Miyazaki Hikaru; I’m a student at the Academy. I don’t think I’ve met you before… anyway, do you mind someone else practicing with you? I was just thinking about how my taijutsu has been getting kinda rusty lately, and I could use a training partner!”

The missing ninja turn and run from me. They dodge the fireball, but, but, it singes their clothing. I would turn to my Jounin and say "Get me a meeting with the Hokage" and they would like, run off as I stared out from the wall. The missing ninja would see reflections of my eyes wherever they turn, soon becoming afraid of their own reflection. Yeah, yeah, okay, maybe not that extreme, but they would certainly remember me.

Ena had picked up the first kunai and was playfully stabbing the air, mumbling to himself. He spun on one foot, not so gracefully pretending to hold off ten ninja at once. He was knocked out of his stupor by a stranger. Another student had approached, holding one of his poorly thrown daggers. When he noticed, he jolted upright and smiled stiffly. Uh uh what um okay. She introduced herself as Miyazaki Hikaru, and then said something about practicing Taijutsu. With me right? She wants to practice with me? Like, fight? She wants to fight?

"So, uh, you want to maybe want to spar hand to hand?" Ena mimicked what he meant, which ended up looking like lazy arm movement with varying hand shapes. "I've only been taught the basics", he said nervously, marking his reservations. He looked at the kunai in her hands. The extremely, terribly, disastrously bad throw he had made. Someone to train with would be a blessing. "Yeah, I'd like to."

Ena tossed the practice kunai aside and fell into a flimsy fighting stance. He had no idea how seriously to take this. He would try to follow her lead.

It seemed as though her nap would be interrupted. Voices were heard underneath her slowly opening her eyes she quietly jawned looking down to see what the whole commotion was about. Oh, this was interesting. There was a pair of students wandering around near the academy, of course it had to be near her hiding spot. Thankfully it didn't seem they had spotted her which played into her advantage. It was very nice and interesting to see students practicing outside of normal hours. It was rare to see that with the new generation but in the end it didn't matter much since the results would call for themselves. Whether a prodigy or a hard worker, both would be tested at the same standard.

That being said she wondered whether she should jump down an give the kids a bit of a fright or if she should do something more interesting. Rubbing her chin she smiled, maybe she would. Firstly she would see how far the students how gotten. Staying in the shadows of the tree, sitting on a branch she simply watched, seeing and studying the students.

Hinata had just been released from class, he was looking at the sky, holding his tiny hands to the sky. Letting out a sigh as he kept walking, trying to avoid others at all costs before he stops under a tree. He looked up to the tree, staring at the branches above him before his eyes turned red, activating his Sharingan.

Once activated he could see an adult sitting there, watching kids as they seemed relaxed and plotting something. He looked down and let out another sigh as he said "What a weirdo, who just sits there in a tree watching kids" He closed his eyes before disabling his Sharingan. Walking away from the tree, sighing as he wondered what the person was doing.

The weather was nice as Karasu just got out of class. She would look up watching the birds fly by. It reminded her of her home in the Land of Lightning when she was really young. Those were her happy memories that she rarely accesses in her mind because when she thought of the happy memories the terrible and frightening ones come racing through. She immediately turned away from the birds in the sky turning her attention toward some students nearby. A couple of them seem to be talking but she wasn’t sure about what. Most likely talking about training since the area was a well known training area for the academy students. She saw several kunai in various places as if they were thrown a bit sporadic.

She walked a bit closer but not too close because she didn’t want to draw attention to herself. That’s the last thing she wanted. She started to twist the ends of her long white hair as she pretended to not stare at the students. She was now close enough to hear whatever they were saying. She knew she should probably start training but felt a bit embarrassed if she failed miserably in front of people. No, she couldn't bear the humiliation. That’s not the first impression she wanted to give. No, she would just practice her spying skills. Yes the art of not looking as if she was nosy even though curiosity was abundant in her.

“A spar it is, then! Like I said, I’m a bit rusty, but I’ll do my best!” She was indeed rusty- taijutsu was by no means her area of expertise, and she had been dropping it from her trainings as of late in favor of beginning to prepare for a Genin exam. Because of that, she was very glad to have someone to practice with. Her newfound sparring partner seemed a little uncertain, but his dedication was promising. As he assumed a fighting stance, Hikaru quickly searched her memory for one of her own. She heard a suspicious noise nearby, but put it out of her mind as she moved into a loosely guarded position, fixing her eyes on the boy in front of her. She smiled, “Just a simple spar- light attacks only! If you want to take a break, you can let me know. Ready?”
-

Hikaru inhaled and moved to one side. She didn’t want to make the first move, and kept her focus on her opponent. Scattered pages of training manuals flashed through her head. Did she have a good way to counter a head-on approach? Would he go for something like that? She took a quick step forward but didn’t lower her guard. The distance between them would work to her benefit- hopefully. She had truthfully never been in a spar alone like this. As long as she kept her distance. Hikaru narrowed her eyes and tried her best to focus.

Ena did not notice the onlookers. If he did, the whole situation would be at least ten times worse. Maybe twenty. The pressure would consume him, and he would mentally collapse. The pressure from the encounter as it existed in front of him was already mounting. A torrent of thoughts and concerns raged in his mind. His heart rate steadily climbed. Additional sweat formed on his forehead, although that could certainly be blamed on the heat of the day. His inner monologue almost completely dissolved into madness. What if she's way better. What if she's not and I hurt her. Please be better. I need to stop thinking and calm myself down, but also what if I don't? What if I embarrass myself? I'm already embarrassing myself, but I could just embarrass myself further I guess. I wonder if she realized yet just how poorly I threw the kunai... And on and on.

Hikaru agreed to the spar, softening the exchange by calling it simple with light attacks only. Ena was relieved, which acted as a brief respite from the tension that was building within him. He recalled a recent lesson at the academy where open hand palm strikes were demonstrated. A very basic move, used for precision, it was said. It also seemed to cause way less pain than a punch unless you were a very powerful ninja.

Ena matched with counter clockwise step to the right and formed the open palm with both hands. He would have to cover the distance between them. Should he run? A ninja would run. So he ran, quickly closing the gap between himself and Hikaru. Ena stopped on a dime a few feet away. It wasn't graceful or fast, but he had made it. The attacks were made with some force, but with a long windup and terrible balance. He threw one palm, aiming for the shoulder, then the other, aiming for abdomen, in quick succession.

Asuka watched with fascination as the students got into position. She liked their attitude towards the training but it was certain that it still needed a lot of work. Yet, for some reason she saw potential in them even though she wouldn't necessarily agree to this type of training... light-attacks only. Not only was that not necessary, it hindered on the learning by infringing in the prediction metrix by only using light attacks. Shaking her head she smiled. She was going to leave them alone, that is until more showed up.

A big smiled appeared on her face, this way she would be able to test them in a way that would definitely bring about an interesting evening. She noticed one of the kids looking at her but it was foolish of him not to follow through, in any case. She started making hand-seals. Some sort of black dome appeared above the kids, surrounding them. Any attempt at breaking through would probably be futile. Using her gift of voice-change, she started speaking. Summoning a clone.

"It was a surprise how easy it was to break in." The clone nodded to Asuka using a transformation jutsu on herself. It was time to have a bit of fun. Making sure all 4 of her students were facing the clone the clone smirked.

"I never expected Children would be in the front-line. You Shinobi really are overrated." However had payed attention to their History class would remember that this was a Samurai. The opposing force that almost wiped out the Leaf Shinobi back in the Civil War. Extremely dangerous, highly skilled in hand to hand combat, pretty much the most effective killing weapon. "It's a shame your training has been interrupted by me." The Samurai bowed. "May you rest in peace." It spoke sprinting towards Ena, throwing his weapon around, using kicks and punches whenever necessary.

If anyone tried to use hand seals he would change target towards that student. It was clear this Samurai knew how to deal with Shinobi. It would be a bit difficult to deal with the Samurai alone since he was constantly changing his field of view, making sure none of the students did any tricks.

Hinata saw the supposed Samurai, Looking at it from the distance he is, he couldn't help wonder if it is really a samurai, knowing the difference between a Samurai and a Ronin, He couldn't tell himself but he could tell that just appearing was a bit unnatural. How did he get here, how did he get through the village as I am sure if someone looking this bad, the people at the gates would without a doubt send someone to keep an eye on someone like him?

Keeping an eye out as he climbs the tree for a better viewpoint, soon remembering the person within the same tree who was here as he spoke softly so that only that person could hear.

"Hey, Lady are you the one doing this?"

He asked not looking away from the samurai, keeping an eye on movement, observing it, studying it as he tries to formulate a plan just in case he were to be attacked by the Armored clad Giant.

Karasu was really close now to hear what was going on but of course she didn’t want to look too interested. It appeared that the two students were going to spar. Karasu's big blue eyes widened at the thought of seeing a good sparring session. She has yet to see that here since she moved to the village. She herself hasn’t even done it. It seemed that they were going to do light attacks which Karasu thought might be because they are only academy students and didn’t have a lot of experience. She wasn’t sure but still she was a bit excited to see it. Her eyes remained glued to the students waiting to see who was going to make the first move.

The boy with the blue hair went first. Karasu watched to study his moves. Maybe she could learn a few things since this is so new for her. She didn’t know if they had more experience than her. If they did she wanted to soak up all the knowledge she could. He had an open palm with both hands and started to run at Hikaru. She wondered what Hikaru would do to counter. Then things started to happen so fast that Karasu wasn’t sure what was going on. Her attention turned from the students sparring to a black dome above that ended up surrounding them. “I have a bad feeling about this,” she said under her breath. Karasu then turned when she heard a voice speak to them. It was someone she never in her life expected to see. It was a samurai.

The samurai said something then all of a sudden he sprinted toward the blue haired boy about to attack him. Her heart was pounding so fast and her mind was racing with thoughts on what to do. Karasu didn’t know the students well but she knew that her little spy games were over. She couldn’t stand by and allow the samurai to harm them. She had to do something but what could she do. Her first thought was her sword that her father made. She still had a lot to learn to understand how to use it but she trained very hard for moments like this. Reaching for her sword from her back, Karasu had both hands on the hilt before starting toward him. Now there was no way she was going to out duel a samurai with her lack of experience but maybe just maybe she could distract him enough for the others to help out. She knew this samurai was powerful and it would have to take the combined efforts of all of them to even have a chance.

Hikaru kept her eyes up as the blue-haried boy rushed towards her. As far as her sidestepping reactions could tell her, he kept his palms open- light strikes, but close-range and maybe quick. Should she try to avoid the moves, or block them? Would she be able to strike him back? He closed the distance completely and prepared to launch his attacks, forcing the girl’s scattered thoughts to reach a conclusion- a hasty, two-armed block covering her chest up. The defense countered his first palm neatly, but he struck her side with a second blow, and her guard fell. Stepping back, she mimicked the flat-palmed stance he had taken as her mind raced with potential strategy faults or changes.
-

Suddenly, it was dark. Hikaru’s eyes shot to the sky around them, and her head followed quickly behind. An imposing black dome clamped down on the park, encasing her, the blue-haried boy, and anyone else in the area in relative darkness. Her gaze flew around her, searching frantically for the shade’s caster- she spoke, unable to keep the unease from her voice: “Uh… I think we should stop. For now, at least. What is this?” Out of the shadows, she heard a threatening and completely foreign voice confidently announce itself. Hikaru whirled around time see an enormous form clad in dark steel and wielding a blade taller than she was. As far as she could recall, the figure bore a resemblance to one of the Samurai, deadly warriors and bitter enemies of the ninja. Panic broke through her body like the crashing of a glacier, and she stepped backwards, making no sound. The ironclad menace charged towards her training partner with incredible speed, and the girl, frozen, noticed another student out of the corner of her eye. Her long white hair identified her as Nakano Karasu, a friend. She was moving towards the Samurai with her sword ready. Hikaru closed her open mouth and, with a significant effort, mobilized her body once more. If Karasu could be brave, so could she- they would have to work as a team. Calling out to the boy, she jumped backwards to position herself near him and began weaving scattered seals for the Gravel Shift justu, attempting to protect him by disturbing the ground between them and the attacker. Determination set into her face, she tried once more, and slammed her hands into the ground as it displaced itself.

(OOC: Hope you guys don’t mind if I keep using music in my posts like this! I enjoy it and think it’s a nice touch- I’m also integrating it into Hikaru’s character later on, so I’d love to know what you think of it! LMK in discord. :D )

It seemed that there was something happening at the Academy, at least that was what had been told to him recently. It seemed from what he heard when he turned the corner that this was indeed the situation after what he had walked into. Scanning the situation he allowed his hands to come together in the all to familiar pattern, letting the words slip free from his lips, as he watched the charge that was taking place his keen eyesight spotting it at the distance. With what would sound like a thunderclap the smoke screen exploded in front of the students. The huge axe swung around in the claw hands as the armoured giant stepped from the smoke to face the stampeding horseman.

maxresdefault.jpg

“I have been summoned to service, relish the darkness for that is what I bring with your doom creeping on it”

The huge jackal stood its ground, waiting for the oncoming charge, patience and hatred coursing through its every vain as it stood there, dug into the ground and prepared to take this fight head on. The eyes darting around to check the area out making sure that nothing was off note, or missing that it had not observed yet.

While his contract prepared to make a stand Takeshi was already on the move heading instantly towards the grounds, he considered all options and opportunities, though from what he had seen there was no scheduled training or events planned that he was aware of, but since returning he found that things just happened on their own accord. THis way he got direct answers to what was taking place and wanted to make sure that the students of Leaf were ok, after all a fight like this could be a hard situation if it was a true fight.

Catching the attention of someone near Takeshi instead of joining the main fight headed in the direction of the person that was hiding in the shadows, he would see what was really going on here and knew that his contract could handle itself in combat. With anything a contract with its contractee it was a bond that they formed and the Hokage had faith that this would serve him to the bitter end.

The first palm strike was deflected by Hikaru's guard, but the second struck as intended. Hikaru seemed to take it in stride, maneuvering then to make a counter attack. She stepped back, palms ready, when the whole thing turned upside down.

The sky was suddenly dark. Hikaru mumbled something about stopping, and Ena relaxed and turned to face a... Samurai? That's at least what it looked like, right out of the history books. Ena was deeply familiar with their history, and this made no sense. Why was there one here? Why was the sky dark? What was going on?

The Samurai declared battle and rushed toward him. Ena, still confused, prepared to fight. Maybe he was dreaming. He closed his eyes for a second, trying to wake up. Maybe he just fell asleep in the park after class. He opened his eyes. Nope. Still there. His body shook nervously. Beside him, Hikaru made hand seals, then struck the ground with her hands, casting some sort of jutsu that would do... something. Ena didn't know, but was impressed by the precision.
What would he do, though? He had no fancy jutsu ready, and was basically useless in a fight. But every combatant is meaningful, if only for acting as bait. That's the plan.

Ena made a step forward, presenting himself to the Samurai, attempting to look fierce a menacing. He took a light fighting stance. If the Samurai approached him and Hikaru, he would try to bait the attack, and the jump out of the way when it came.

Asuka kept looking forward with a big smile on her face. That is until she noticed a small silhouette coming her way. It certainly couldn't be, she kinda hoped it was an enemy. Unfortunately things rarely go her way. At first she expected the child to not have seen the big scary Samurai but his question kind of threw that saving grace out the window.

She tried to say something but she found herself without words, the stupidity of his actions couldn't be ignored. She was rarely impress but this was one of those moments were all she could do was laugh. "You know." She turned to Hinata "If this was real you would be dead already. The stupidity of your actions just cost you your life or, even worse, the lives of your comrades. Instead of helping them and rallying the information of an unknown individual hiding in the trees you decided to confront it yourself. Not knowing how powerful your enemy is, not even assessing your surroundings." Asuka pinched the bridge of her nose in annoyance. "You know what. Screw it." With that Asuka started using handsignals and quickly jammed two of her fingers on Hinata's forehead. "I suggest you don't move." She spoke activating her techniques. One technique would basically render him blind, the other would make him start hearing things that terrified him. "I hope this teaches you not to be stupid." Asuka spoke for the last time. "Continue the path your going towards and you won't make it." With that Asuka made a sign and vanished in a flurry of leaves.

On the other side the Samurai simply smiled, tilting it's head backwards it saw Karasu moving forward towards it. Swing his pole around a few times it met Karasu's sword which did a very satisfying sound as metal clashed against Metal. But something was amiss, Karasu was stronger than she seemed... interesting to say the least.

On the other side the Samurai wasn't fast enough to stop Hikaru's justsu which promptly made it loose it's balance, having to jump backwards a bit the Samurai got into stance again, going back towards Ena. It had to take care of Hikaru first but Ena was in the way, promptly baited the kid jumped away. That is until it heard a voice that terrified it to it's core.

The Samurai stopped in it's tracks, few moments of silence happened between them. That is until a poof of smoke replaced the Samurai, once the smoke had cleared the Samurai was gone. In it's place stood a small yet VERY angry Main Branch Sennin.
"What the actual fudge are you doing here Anubis?" She spoke throwing her arms in the air. "The test was going perfectly fine until your butt showed up." Asuka pinched the bridge of her nose. "Now a variable showed up and it's ruined. No flippin point continuin."

Asuka started going on a rant that is too tiring to write. It went somewhere along the lines of tests, variables, the exceptional quality standard of her Shinobi, pudding, tea, Anubi's dog face and how Takeshi seemed to trust her with the job yet somehow keeps getting involved when doing surprise test.

If Anubis was nearby then his master was nearby as well which meant, oh this just got a lot more complicated. Asuka snapped her fingers, releasing Hinata from the Genjutsus. There wasn't any point now but she would keep an eye on the idiot. Turning to the other students Asuka waved "Hello." She giggled, holding her hands behind her back. "Hope that wasn't too scary. Apology for the rant, Anubis hear made me mad and piss my pants at the same time." Asuka sighed looking up at Anubis. "You still have the same terrifying Aura around you. Where's that master of yours?"

Having his vision cut and hearing the horrors she tried to inflict on him, causing him to fall out of the tree as he heard the horrors of his parents death beaing repeated in his ears, the horrors that cause someone as he acted rather calmly, already accepting that they are dead and he couldnt do anything to stop them, coming to terms with this he only got more determined as soon once it all stopped he looked up at the women.

Looking up at her "Just so you know i didnt jump in cause i didnt want to, if i did I would have been beaten into the ground, I am not a strong as the others so, I was observing, using my eyes to find a weak points, I was asking you if it waas you cause I wished to know, gather intel is also a good tool to know.

He says looking at the others

Karasu stood her ground as she charged with her sword ready to do her best to protect the others and herself if possible. She didn’t think of herself as being brave but doing what she thought was the right thing to do. She couldn’t just stand around and watch as her classmates were being attacked. She would never forgive herself and that wasn’t the kind of shinobi she wanted to be. In the corner of her eye she saw Hikaru do some hand signs but what she was doing she had no idea. She needed to keep her attention on the menacing samurai who was coming right at her with a pole swinging it toward her until it actually connected. A metal clank sound could be heard as her sword and the pole collided.

Karasu was sure the pole was going to slice right through her but to her surprise it didn’t. She realized she was able to block the attack of the samurai. Then suddenly the ground started to move and Karasu realized this was a jutsu, Hikaru’s jutsu as a matter of fact. It made the samurai jump back from Karasu. In her mind she was forming a few possible moves to unfold on the samurai. She was about to go with one of them but she stopped herself when another appeared. There was a poof of smoke and the samurai was gone. A huge jackal arrived and it seemed to be protecting them. She never saw anything like this but she assumed this must be a summons from someone but who could have conjured this up. She looked around but didn’t see anyone who could have done this. Not at this level at least. Karasu heard a voice then turned to see who it was coming from. There was a person coming from the trees and ranting about things that Karasu didn’t quite understand. Something about a test and that it was ruined. She then worked it out and said “Wait this was a test from you? “ she said in a much louder voice than she normally used. The shinobi apologized for their actions but their attention was more on the jackal. Karasu looked at both the jackal and the shinobi and said “Who in the world are you guys?” she asked exasperated, wanting some answers.

Hikaru kept her hands planted on the ground, maintaining the jutsu with all her might. From the side of her slightly blurred vision, she noticed her white-haired friend Karasu rush towards the attacker with her sword outstretched and poised to strike the Samurai off its guard. As their blades bit into one another and parted with a chorus of steel on steel, Hikaru caught the enemy with her Gravel Shift, throwing it off-balance. As she stood up, watching for its next move, she saw a boy fall from a tree nearby. Moving to help him, she prepared to try another jutsu.

Out of nowhere, however, a golden-clad figure erupted from the ground, swinging an enormous axe around its body and moving to face the mounted Samurai. Before Hikaru had time to consider this large, menacing development, their attacker just as suddenly deflated in a cloud of white smoke, a telltale sign of a transformation of some sort. In its place, though, was… Asuka, the Main Branch’s Sennin? The entire situation had been flipped onto its side in an instant. As the head of the Academy began to yell and gesture emphatically at the large armored jackal-beast that had popped up in the middle of her apparent test, the dark-haired girl continued over to where she had seen the someone fall out of the tree. He lay on the ground, moving little. As Hikaru turned back to look at Asuka, ready to call for her help, the Sennin snapped her fingers, and it seemed the boy’s senses were returned to him. He recovered admirably on his own, facing the woman in the clearing and speaking directly to her. The girl stood by, watching Karasu address the newcomers with exasperation in her voice and still reeling a little from the action of the faux-fight. She offered a hand and a slight smile to the dark-haired boy on the ground once he had finished speaking, but kept silent, watching the others. Was it… over?

Anubis allowed the huge axe to swing in his fingers, as he lowered the head of it towards the ground before standing to his full height dwarfing the main branch sennin as his eyes focused down on her studying the actions she had made. Its upper lip curled backwards to release the huge set of teeth that hid inside of his mouth, it was more a snarl than a smile and he had come to accept the revelations quickly as his eyes spun to each of the students that were around him.

“Summoned, I just serve, you will have to answer to my master on your actions, I don’t judge, I just answer the orders given that is the pact and the contract that was signed.”

His head sniffing at the Sennin before he let his eyes fall behind her, as the flock of birds slowly headed in a straight line behind Asuka, it seemed that the master of the jackal had arrived as he took a knee, bringing the axe across his chest and lowering his head from the sign of respect between the two of them. His fingers gripping at the axe tightly as he waited to be answered.

“Master”

“Well it seems that Asuka has a few things to answer for, especially about why testing was taking place without any knowledge of my office. Given recent events I would have considered knowing this information vital, than seeing a stranger in the village. Anubis thank you for the assistance as always your actions do you justice”

“Always ready to answer your call”

Takeshi allowed the flock of crows to slowly come together behind Asuka as the form of the Lord Forth took his place behind the Sennin, his eyes shining bright red in the daylight as he looked to each of the students that were in front of him, pondering on what Asuka had said to them and why she had failed to mention anything to the office about this little text.

“So what was the meaning of this test then?”

The white robes of the Hokage fluttering in the wind, Asuka was in between the demon and the devil to put it into better terms, as the Uchiha stood behind her waiting for an answer as he actually wanted to understand what had possessed his Main Branch Sennin to do such a test without any word. While she did indeed run the Main Branch, the Academy and everything with it, information and communication was a key lesson she still didn’t grasp to this day it seemed.

The battle with the samurai ended before it really got going. Another girl academy student rushed forward with her sword and came to blows with the enemy. Hikaru's jutsu threw the warrior off balance. He regrouped and lunged for Ena, who readily jumped out of the way. The students had only been fighting for a few seconds before it came to a swift end. First came the beast. Then poof went the samurai, replaced by familiar looking ninja. Ena didn't know her name, but he thought he might have seen her at some point in his time at the academy. She was fierce, and at the moment, angry. She began yelling about tests and variables and general training theory. Ena might have found it interesting if he wasn't frozen by fear.

Then the fourth hokage arrived.

And there he was, suddenly apart of Ena's day. The jackal was his summon. Did Ena know that? He did now. The fourth hokage was here and... scolding the woman? Ena lay there on the ground after his not so graceful dodge roll. He didn't exactly feel like getting up. He felt like disappearing. However, he could not take his eyes of the fourth. His white robes were majestic. He had gravitas. This was the person in charge. No one could doubt it.

Ena leaned forward to hear the conversation. The woman was less than diplomatic, and Ena hadn't understood it fully yet, but he did not like what she had done with the samurai. It was a nightmare inducing experience, although he would be seen as weak if he expressed his discomfort. Just push that thought to the back. Don't think that one. You'll get over it.
