Ziren walked to the edge of the Fire Country, his wife and twin babies were close by. He turned to them, sorrow in his eyes, as this could be the last time he would ever see them.
"Hana. This might be the last time I ever see you ever again... At least for a long while. Just be safe, and keep our children safe. Hopefully the people in Cloud will understand. If anything, say that Yomi was expecting Ziren and his family to come visit. But we are currently in a war with an unknown enemy. And I wish for you all to be safe, can you do that for me?" Ziren asked Hana.
His wife nodded, water forming in her eyes. The Medical Chief kissed his wife one final time. He then proceeded to kiss the foreheads of his children.
Just as they walked away, though, a single piece of paper landed in front of Ziren. There was something unsettling about the whole situation. He picked it up and read the contents.
There was no name of the person who sent the letter, but he knew exactly who it was. The mercenary who has ruined his life so long ago.
He bit down on his thumb until blood started to come out. He pressed his bloody hand on the ground and smoke poofed around him. His plant contract, Hotaka Brōlu appeared.
"What is it that you want human?" He said kind of annoyed.
But Ziren wasn't having any of it. He wrote down on a separate piece of paper.
He handed the note to Brōlu. "Give this to the guards in Leaf. Tell them, that it might take a while for me to come back, since I don't know how this fight will go."
With that, he took off, not saying another single word to his plant companion. "Why am I stuck with the crazy ones? Brōlu asked himself before heading back to Leaf.

I'm not reckless as your brother, to chase you down in your own village. And seeing as how you have a lot more troubles, I think it is safe to finally come out of the shadows to confront you, before someone else gets the chance to kill you. Meet me, at the ruins of the Water Country.

I have just got word of a potential threat to Leaf. No, it's not Frost, but if left unchecked, they could be a serious issue later down. I'm going to the Water Country to investigate further into this. If I am right, this guy is worst than my brother. A threat from my past that has just resurfaced that will need to be put an end to immediately.
