Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Character's Physical Description:
facee.png

He is a large, 1,80m tall lad. His hair is black, a bit curly, and kept short and combed into a tasteless childish haircut with two small curls of hair dangling onto his forehead. He wears glasses, which are somewhat warped out open by width of his head, which houses his large nose and mouth; along his small black eyes like onyx beads. His skin is fair, slightly olive, and smooth. The rest of his body is also pretty fat, graced by his poor lifestyle choices, although he doesn't seem to care too much about it.

Character's Mental Description: He's blunt, shameless and narcissistic, although he isn't malicious. He just likes the stuff that he likes - his collectibles, his cards, his figurines - and doesn't care about what people think about it. Unless it's to say something blatantly wrong, like that the best SSR card is the second Raikage. Now that's heresy he won't stand for, and he will make sure to let you know that the SSR of the third is way better, and has more collector's value because of its misprinting, along more pointless trivia you probably shouldn't care about.

Beyond his front of being a huge otaku, he is actually a very capable ninja, having opted to take on a style of strategy and "outsmarting" his opponent, as he believes in a philosophy of mind over might, which also serves as his excuse to himself for not working out. He takes great pride in his intellectual ability, which he believes to have refined over years of playing collectible card games and min-maxing his characters on tabletop roleplays.

But yeah. He's a friendly guy. He doesn't like fighting just for the sake of violence, rather, he enjoys it as a way to prove his intellectual supremacy over his opponents - combat is a sport. And while he is in favor of having the endless pointless wars and political rubbish between countries end, he understands that at times, unfortunately, violence has to be the answer.

Character History:
He's from a very, very far-away land. A foreign country full of Wuxia, but also ninjas. Zhao was one of these ninjas, having been trained in the ancestral arts of his family's clan - but he didn't entirely agree with their antiquated methods. They insisted on employing jutsus and their chakra to subdue enemies, while Zhao had the insight that a lot of these techniques could just be replaced by mechanisms that would accomplish the same, without all of the handseal and mystical bother. There was so much nonsense that could just be skipped, he found. However, his deviant views weren't well-accepted. Breaking tradition was taboo. But he believed that the tradition was just dumb, and he didn't want to be stuck with it.

News and tale of a far-away land called "Fire-land" had arrived to him too. A place of heroes, epic battles and hot springs. At least, that was what the imported collectible cards told him it was like, and the short-story scrolls that he regularly bought. A magical, wonderful place. A place he'd love to visit - perhaps even meet the Hokage if he was lucky enough! It was nothing like how boring and retrograde his nameless hometown was, stuck in their ancient ninja ways. Fire-land was a place of progress! Innovation! A place for someone like him!

Feeling how he didn't really belong here, and enthralled by the magic of Fire-land, as a Quixote, he set himself out to pursue his dream. He spent all of his money on travelling, staying at inns and eating, to then continue to travel onwards, nearly across the whole globe.

Until finally, he made it. With very little left to his name now, having spent it all to get here, he finally arrived to the gates of the village.

And he was utter disappointed.

It was just... normal. Very similar to how his own town was like. Sure, there was some technological advances here and there but nothing like the sci-fi dreams he had cooked up in his head about this place. His heart was broken.

Without a way to go back, lost, frustrated, he tried to find a way for himself to earn money to perhaps one day buy a trip home. Thankfully a Sennin of the village, Uchiha Asuka, helped him become a citizen of the place by becoming his sponsor as he got employed as a ninja for Fire Country.

Zhao doesn't mind to fight for this new nation, and he wanted to become independent and live on his own, far away from his home anyways. But... this wasn't really the situation he had hoped to get himself into. But it's good enough. Fire Country isn't too bad. Just, painfully mediocre compared to what he had expected.

He is currently a Genin, because he has to take classes to learn more about Fire Country's jutsus (which especially relevant when it comes to teamwork), history and culture for his further integration, although there are sights on promoting him higher once he has some more fluency in Fire Country's ways and more people trust him with more sensitive village secrecy.

What is Limbo Training?
This is the training that you would have gotten if you did not move on to your new character's life. Your caps are determined by your rebirthed stats. You must keep a record of your stats gained during limbo in your OCR thread. You may NOT request for an automatic rank up should you find that your new stats allow you to upgrade. Limbo training is only for people who have died in modded combat or suicide. Anyone whose character has not died is still capable of RPing that character until their OCR is finalized, and thus can train as normal.

Things you do NOT need to state, but take note of:
  • Abilities = All of your Abilities are auto-untrained upon rebirth. In order to have any Abilities for your new character, you must activate them by posting in your character’s Dojo topic in your new village.
  • Character History = By suiciding/rebirthing, you're making a new character. This means your new character must not know or remember anything of your old character's life/thoughts/feelings. If your new character has ANY direct/indirect connection to your old character, you MUST state that in your new character history write up for Admin & Village approvals. All Medical or ANBU related experience should be reflected in your history along with CA or BL influence.
  • Editing Your New Character Application = Do not edit a post you have made in your OCR. You must copy all of your information from your last post and add the changes to the new post. This is for papertrail reasons.

Things that do NOT transfer with your next character:
Please take notice of which ASP shop items that you have bought transfer with your character, and which do not.

Putting this on hold for a moment, I'd like to adjust a few things of his history, thankfully this doesn't seem to have been taken yet by anyone, so I'm taking the chance. Sorry for the inconvenience.
