[Hanako]

Name: Yamanaka Hanako

Physical Description: 5’ tall and willowy. She had just come into a growth spurt and is still getting used to her own body.
Mental Description: Likes to be the center of attention, wants to make sure all eyes are on her.

Hanako grew up in a family of Genjutsu users. The entire clan realized that this was the best way to fight, why attack someone when you can make them physically when you can attack their mind. Hanako was no exception to this belief but she liked to take it much further. Hanako was a show woman. She liked to have the spotlight on her. Sure Shinobi were supposed to have some slight of hand skills but from the time Hanako was walking she was making coins disappear in front of everyone. Her father like to do the same trick for her and make them reappear behind her ear which she thought was the greatest thing ever.

Then the circus came to the village when Hanako was 8 years old and watching them Hanako realized she had found her true calling. She was going to be a sage magician. She informed her parents this, and was promptly shut down. She would not be running off to the circus like some commoner she was to become a shinobi and that was it.

That night Hanako ran away from home to join the circus. They were just leaving the village at the time and she managed to smuggle herself out of the village with them.

For a glorious month she managed to work the carvel, even finding the stage magician to apprentice under, until it all came crashing down. Her parents had tracked her down and brought her back to the village kicking and screaming.

Hanako was immediately sent to the academy to ensure she was busy enough and had enough supervision that she would not manage to escape from the village again. Her time in the academy had not been wasted though. What better way to perform tricks for people on stage than to preform true illusions. Working to blend her innate Genjutsu skills with that of what she loved to do.

Yamanaka is just the Surname she isn't confined by such things as blood.
