Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Four ANBU surrounded the man as he walked down a series of steps. He stuck out like a sore thumb in a place like this. He was wearing a business suit and carried a briefcase in between his arms as if he was afraid to have it stolen by someone. Normally no one visited the underprison much; the crazies there were likely to kill you. But he was adamant about achieving his mission. That, and the ANBU had reason to let him visit her. He carried something precious even to them in that briefcase. Eventually the party came to a stop outside of a cell that looked very much different than the others. There was a noticeable temperature change first of all, and the woman inside seemed to be in much better conditions than those that this man had seen on his way down.

"Shima Haruka, my name is Inaba Shintaro. I am a lawyer, but not quite the type you are probably used to speaking to."
he began and watched as the ANBU opened up the cell. He had the force the door open as it seemed a bit frozen in place. If the masks weren't on their faces, the ANBU would probably have been seen expressing looks of concern to each other.

The cell was small, and the only other place to sit was next to her. While he would have liked to avoid that, it was either that or the toilet in the corner that sat across from her. His eyes shifted to look at her again. "Toilet it is." he thought, moving to the stainless steel seat which could have been in a worse state. Shintaro placed the breifcase on his and and undid the buckle that kept it sealed. The ANBU remained vigilant to protect him from both Haruka and other curious criminals gathering around them.

The woman just watched him silently which was making it hard for him to go on. He was definitely uneasy with the situation. "Guess I should just get to it then..." he mumbled, pulling out a series of papers and setting glasses upon his nose. "Still can't see. The lightning here is terrible." he groaned, adjusting the page back and forth before finding the best possible position. He cleared his throat.

"I Matsuura Nobuyuki of Kumogakure, being of sounds mind and memory, revoke my former Wills and Codicils and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament." he began and then skimmed down the page to the part when Haruka actually came into the picture regarding anything legal. He didn't realize the bomb he just dropped on her either.

"To Shima Haruka, I bequeath my spear. I've never really given it a name, but I suppose if you are hearing this than it's not that big of deal. You were one of the most honorable people I have met, despite the reasons that we were brought together. You are a woman I hope that my own daughter would end up like, should I have had one. Fair and just. One who fights for her goals and beliefs, and isn't afraid to take the hard road in hopes of achieving good. I would have liked to visit you more since putting you in that place, but maybe I will see you again one day, in a better place as they say. Good luck Haruka. Don't give up on the hope of creating a better place for those we leave it to. Sincerely, Nobuyuki."

The lawyer stopped reading and looked up over his glasses to look at how she was processing things before adding. "The Spear mentioned is in holding here in the prison. When and if you get out, you'll be able to pick it up on your way out." he continued, but his voice began to tremble... It was time to go. He quickly hurried out of the cell and the ANBU slammed the door closed once again, ushering the man away...

Haruka's spine stiffened as a layer of thin mist pulsed across the floor of the cell gently. The now grief stricken woman being the core source of the dropping temperature. She lowered her head, hiding her face behind a bow of dark hair. She clenched her jaw, suppressing the raw roar of anger. Not you too! Her hands trembled, clenching onto each other in an effort to still themselves. This was the sad curse of Shima Haruka, forever sentenced to walk to this world alone. Every fragile life she touched shattered. She thought Nobuyuki was different. She thought him to be stronger. They were the same souls split apart. But it seemed not even that could save him from her disastrous touch.

She had no answers, only questions as the cell door shut once more. You stupid fucking fool. Only that thought echoed across her mind. She could only find anger within herself. Anger at Nobuyuki for not being careful. It was the only emotion she could acknowledge to keep herself together. She rose up to the bars of the cell, throwing her hand between them to wave someone over. "Wait!" She caught the attention of one ANBU escorting the lawyer away. He reluctantly broke away from the group. He was hesistated to approach, almost scared. After all, Haruka hadn't spoke one word since arriving months ago.

"Please," she grasped at the words, "tell me how."

"
<COLOR color="#000000">He was murdered in the hospital." The ANBU seemed to wait on her response, tied tightly as a tensed string. She stepped back into the darkness. Without looking, she dropped upon the bed. It was as if she never even moved. The same stoic stare glared back out to the soldier.

"I see..."

This thread is presently under review.

Reason:
  1. A player has voiced a concern regarding the transfer of information that is not considered "commonly known" via a faceless NPC. We are presently reviewing this for validity.
  2. The travel rules state that a run time must be used when creating and leaving a thread in the same post. (Cannot use run time to exit any thread which has other people in it.) The problem here is that it was done twice, once by the initiator of the thread and again by the follow-up participant. Even if a run time was used, the thread would have been closed before it was responded to in the former and in the later the player attempted to leave a thread with another player (theoretically) still in it.

This is a notification that the thread is under review and why, nothing more. The purpose of this notification is to preserve continuity in this RP space so that you do not make threads that would have been in response to this thread until we know/have resolved what is actually 'cannon' here. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to contact myself or any Administrator.

The Topic is considered Voided by majority Administrative vote after a long discussion and review.
  1. The Thread is VOIDED due to a violation of the travel rules where the initiator of the thread used a one post in and out where they used TOPIC LEFT. We have a rule in the travel rules that states "Run Times Are Used When: Creating and leaving a thread in the same post. (Cannot use run time to exit any thread which has other people in it.)" The initiator of this thread used an EXIT topic post in their first post, they did not post a run time, the player who entered the thread after the initiator would have entered after the player had left and the second poster also did not provide a run time.
  2. In regards to content: Faceless NPCs cannot pass on information about other characters unless the information shared is considered "common knowledge" or it is a NPC that actually saw/experienced this information in some way. Information about that character would not be considered 'common knowledge' and if was relegated to a subset of shinobis and not every/most shinobis. The information shared did not appear to be something most would know, however if that information would like to be shared in a new topic as this one is voided please refer to the Council and/or players involved with the genesis of this information and obtain their consent or find out how much they are willing to allow your NPC to know so they can share.
