Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

He’d told the captain to wait, and the man, true to his word, did not. Hoshikata stares over the empty waters with a frown. That was money wasted. Still, he had little doubt the other ship chartered would do as asked and come by every day waiting on him, it was owned by his clan. He would make it a point that the other ship met the bottom after his own had dropped them off elsewhere.

Hoshikata looks back at the two women with him, eyes lingering on Haruka the longest. The trek was cold, it was harsh, and it was invigorating for him. His clothing was a mess, he would need to pick something up during the voyage, but for now he felt truly alive, which was rare. Even the cold was something new, though he felt it should be far colder than it was. Hoshikata smiles at her, turning back to see the sails appearing on the horizon. Not long now and they would be on their way. He would advise the captain to a quick stop in Moon before heading back to Cloud.

He had to talk to his clan.

Raiden be damned.” The less than cold, but more than irritated wiry figure of a woman muttered, throwing a hand back through her wind whipped and tangled black hair. The loyalty of their ship had been more than questionable. It was no question that the gods damned crew would betray their command and leave them, but Haruka had hoped to see them prove otherwise. She wasn't in the mood for waiting, nor did she want to get sidetracked. Her mile long glare gazed across the water, staring so intently as if she might summon a ghost ship from beneath the depths. Still, neither by the will of the gods or her own could the Shima daughter command forth a vessel. She'd just have to be content with waiting for Hoshikata's back up.

Picking at the cuffs of her cashmere coat, she avoided further conversation for the time being. The trip had been nice, despite the blistering cold and bleak scenery because her two companions were not the talkative bunch. It was quite the opposite of her last two long journeys. The first to Mist had been exhausting merely because the kindly couple she escorted were far too friendly for her liking, and her second trip to Roenesia had been abysmally lonely and filled with frustrated thoughts of her impending failure. Perhaps she had grown and that did her well to learn to deal with such situations. As she became older she became less hateful towards others, trading it in for mere intolerance and vexation for their stupidity instead. That was a blessing to both parties.

As the crimson mast of the brig broke the watery horizon, Haruka sighed in relief rising from her haunches to slip by Hoshikata's side. The two masted ship cut through the icy water like a horse through an open field. The teak built structure stained as darkly as the wood allowed it was certainly imposing as it was strongly built. Haruka trusted its strength and ability to reach Lightning country shores far more than its predecessor.

Haruka cooly noted Hoshikata grinning with a soft nod, barely able to muster up any emotion in the drilling wind. Only about a few more months journey would end them back into Lightning, then a weeks walk back to the gates. The Shima princess lifted the fur lined hood of her milky gray coat, concealing her face to anyone who wasn't standing head on at her. The last stretch of the mission was just a simple wait and walk in her reach.

After the ordeal in the caverns below Shashu welcomed the biting wind like an old friend. An old friend that woke you up from a nightmare by dumping a bucket of ice water on your face. Sure, the ruins were a frozen hell, but at least they didn't have dead gods and throngs of enslaved souls lurking around every corner. Less welcome, however, was the distinct lack of boat to get them out of this hellhole. After all, even old friends have to go home sometime. Especially when they're creepy and keep making all too tempting offers to go do creepy stuff with them.

Ok, that metaphor went in a weird direction. This place really is driving me crazy.

Fortunately for all involved a new boat showed up to stop that line of thought and the three of them headed back to Cloud. With every passing mile the ANBU could feel a weight fall off her shoulders, and by the time the sun set she felt mostly back to her old self. Sadly what her old self wanted most of all at the moment was a steaming pile of meat buns, of which there was a distinct lack of on the ship, and so Shashu spent the majority of the trip back in a food-deprived coma dreaming of meat buns the size of her head.
