Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Maki looks up at the massive wall as they trek towards the village, racking his brain trying to figure out what that was. It certainly wasn’t there last time he visited Suna, and while he was quite sure he was in the right area it was entirely possible he was lost in this near-featureless expanse of sand. But it was the only thing for miles around that stood out….so it had to be something related. Perhaps a defensive measure to help protect from violent neighbors.

He was wearing his travel clothes still, knowing his appearance didn’t need to have that pristine cleanliness he needed in Cloud. Well made, high quality white shirt and pants of a breathable cotton with brown hiking boots. A large pack was on his back, something that seemed to not bother him much at all. He looked quite odd, all in white hiking through the sand, but he found it kept the heat from being so stifling.

As they finally reach the gates, Maki lowers the pack and pulls out a canteen, drinking from it before passing it to his two companions. ”Well…this wall wasn’t here before but I believe this is the right place. Let’s find out.” He puts the canteen away once it’s done with and turns to the gate before him. ”Greetings to Sunagakure! I am Tonkon Maki, Sennin and Hokage Advisor of Konohagakure!”

The entrance to Sunagakure soon reveals itself after many hours of ardous walking through the damned blistering sun. She still was trying to grasp the concept of how these damn Wind shinobi could operate in such horrid conditions. But then again, they would probably say the same about their own village so she was in no position to complain really. The sound of footsteps crunching behind her and the ANBU's head snaps up, her eyes narrowing for a moment before realizing the identity of the two figures who approached. She nearly wanted to yell with relief..and did so...inwardly that is. "Am I glad to see you.."The Captain decided not to emphasize the point of how they somehow split ways when they first left and hoped they would all chalk it down to a honest mistake. In fact, if the topic wasn't brought up at all..it would be for the better."I hope everything worked out with the HIdden Cloud?"She asked eyeing the two for any sign, positive or negative. Though, her attention was quickly ripped away from the topic at the canteen the Sennin offered. Water. It seemed to be something of a rare delicacy in this part of the world. She had yet to see such a source in all her hours of trekking here. Taking small sips of the cup before passing it to Hoshirei, she closed her eyes for a moment allowing the water to settle and refresh her energy. "Thanks. You're a lifesaver, literally." She tilited her head up eyeing the wall as Maki announced their arrival. There didn't seem to be any...opening."Strange sort of gate if you ask me.."It was either a very good illusion or they were just yelling at a deadbeat wall. Whatever the case, they were bound to find out soon.

They finally found themselves at Suna's gates. The giant wall was unexpected, but understandable. It was a great way to protect from enemies as well as any sand storms that may occur. She was happy to see Soku, though she did have a small piece of her wondering how they had ended up separated in the first place. She gently took the cup from Soku once it was filled with water. While she had her own water flask, it was running a little low. It would be good to enter the village to refill the flexible vessel. Once the cup was empty, she handed it back to Soku with a nod of thanks.

Soku asked about Raigakure and Hoshirei internally grimaced. "It did not come to blows, if that is what you are asking. Otherwise..." she trailed off with a shrug before turning to what they assumed was the gate. She saw a couple ghosts following a path through one section, but decided to not bring attention to the area. After all, it was better to keep the extent of your abilities quiet. Surely someone would come soon? She really wanted to get out of the heat. Her wide-brimmed hat had helped, but she could really use a healing- the thought cut off and Hoshirei sighed softly. Her left hand hit her hip and her right came up to pinch the bridge of her nose. She stepped a little closer to her husband and softly inquired, "Think you could take a look at these sunburns once we get out of the sun? The skin on my shoulders is beginning to feel tight despite my precautions."

While it may not have looked like it, as the wall seemed to be designed to keep all out, that was not necessarily the case. From within a seemingly whole piece of the structure, a door would open, as if seemingly out of nowhere. Sousuke, the designer of the wall, was a bit excessive in his development of the wall itself. Usagi would have been fine with it being much simpler, as it would be easier to police, but she was glad to no longer be relying on the Toraono Dojo as an entry point. It was too hard to keep track of and offered no real barrier to those who wished to sneak into their village. Either way, that was neither or nor there.

She would approach the group, pulling out a small paper tablet, and turn her attention immediately to the one who announced their presence. The name was one she had seen already in the logs she kept track of, so now it was simply verification.

"Welcome back... passports... IDs...?."

The words would be clunky but not in a nervous sort of way. It would sound more like they were words coming from someone who wasn't a fan of talking, as if each thought needed to be condensed to as small of a format as possible and then barely pushed out from their mouth. That was Usagi. She wasn't mean, she just wasn't a talker.

If Maki responded with his paperwork, she would, in turn, go to the next traveler with him until she had received the paperwork from all three.

Maki nods to the question. ”As well as could be expected given what the news I delivered was.” He takes back the canteen and doesn’t respond to the lifesaving comment, instead looking over to his wife who was complaining of sunburns. She really did have fair skin for this desert. He simply nods, about to say more when someone opens a hidden door in the wall to ask for their passports. Someone who recognized him as having been here before. Kazuki must have changed it in the record when he admitted to lying.

Thank you, here’s our passports.” He pulls free his own and his wife’s, letting Soku handle her own since ANBU were usually private like that. He knew all too well being the former ANBU Sennin. ”I’ve come from Konoha seeking to strengthen ties between our villages. Would the Kazekage be open in the near future for a small meeting?” He recalls not meeting the Kazekage in Tea, leaving that honor to Umashi and Takeshi while he chatted up the two Sennin present.

He takes a moment to hand his wife something from the pack, sunscreen with aloe vera. ”Use this for now, I’ll take a better look when we have a room.”

Gauging their reactions, she simply nodded slowly. Well, they had tried at least and if Kumogakure was being..stubborn..there was only so much they could do. The wall in front of them remained motionless as ever..and she thought they were going to slowly cook to death out here in the dunes when suddenly..it seemed they were not wrong after all. Her eyes blinked a few times to comprehend what was happening..a door was somehow swinging open from the wall yet had escaped her sight. This gets weirder by the minute.A figure approaches and judging from the odd mask, she assumed this was Suna's version of the ANBU, the ninja looked intimidating enough alright. Brisk and straight to the point, the guard inquired to their paperwork and the Captain reached into her cloak grasping hold of her passport. Thankfully, some sensitive information had been...redacted given the nature of her work and position as such was the nature of the ANBU but for the most part, it should suffice. She handed it to the kunoichi slowly."Here you go."She provided no name..all that stuff was on the passport save for some details.

Hoshirei began to say something about sunburns and Soku eyed the the glaring sun with a sort of hostility. This climate was really not ideal and perhaps a black cloak was not the most ideal as beads of sweat ran down her back but hopefully..they had more cooler climates in whatever buildings they would be housed in. The security seemed tight enough if you even needed it. To the average eye, it was just an dull wall with no way in but she was sure the village had more things set in place for the poor soul who would attempt such a foolish thing. Soku was always analyzing, watching, it interested her to see how other villages did things. She was looking forward to her time here, it was a nice break from the view of Konohagakure every day except maybe the burning fiery thing that was the heat. She should have expected this, Soku thought. It was called the HIdden Sand after all..desert-type place..this was going to take some time to get used to.

Hoshirei was less surprised when the door in the wall swung open, as it passed through a couple ghosts. The apparent ANBU operative that met them operated under the name of Usagi, if her mask was any indication, though it would be funny if their name was Inu instead, that would be an interesting dichotomy. She was certain that the person before them was more than used to the heat, as they belonged to the village beyond the walls, but she felt such a kinship with them for how concise their speech was. Back in Konoha, she tried to do the same, though she was less able to do so recently. She really needed some practice with her air-head persona.

She smiled in Maki's direction in thanks for both showing her passport and the aloe infused sunscreen. Still paying attention to the ANBU before them, she slowly applied it to her shoulders. She hissed slightly at the temperature differential and sighed at the confirmation of a sunburn. It had been a very long time since she had one and her own sunscreen/hat combo had not done enough. Once as much of her shoulders were coated with the gel-like substance, she closed up the container and tucked it back into Maki's pack. She whispered a soft thanks as she did so, but otherwise remained silent, with a soft look on her face.

She would quickly take the information, write it all down in her notepad, and then would just as quickly return it back to the correct corresponding individual. She did circle the name Maki as he was indeed the individual who had been here prior, but his description did not seem to match the original one given, at least not entirely. It seemed that the world was just as unforgiving outside of this country as it was within it. She would then turn her attention to Maki as he asked about the Kazekage. She would begin to hum, as if wanting to say something but processing how to best say it.

"....."

She would place her notepad back into her cloak and would motion the trio to follow her to the wall. As the approached she was tap her head set a series of times before coming on and actually speaking"

"Requesting Steward.... Kazekage Tower..."

She would then release the device and motion for the trio to pause as the mechanism within the gate began to come alive. The sound of gears turning, metal grinding together, and chains being pulled would be heard as a much bigger portion of the gate would open up and grant entrance to the three members of Konohagakure no Sato.

"Welcome... head to the Tower..."

She assumed Maki would know what she was referencing, as he had a meeting with the Sennin Kazuki previously there, even though the full report was not actually given so the details of the meeting were hazy at best.

"Steward Sousuke.... waiting there..."

She would, in her own way, bow to the trio and give them a very small wave. She would then depart back to her hideaway spot to continue watching the wall.

Maki takes his passport back as the person goes silent, then speaks in spurts. And suddenly a wider opening was revealed to the three, bringing the Sennin to give a whistle of appreciation at the engineering work on display. Whoever set this up was definitely well versed in mechanics. As he’s informed to go to the tower, a structure he recalls from waking up naked in it previously, he merely nods to their benefactor and looks to the two women.

”I’ll head to meet with this Steward. If either of you wish to join me feel free. If not then get some lodgings in the village and I’ll find you later. You’re on your own time here if you don’t come with me, so feel free to enjoy yourselves but don’t anger our hosts.”

He looks to the tower he’s encountered once before, shouldering his pack and heading towards it. At some point between here and there he’d find a place to change, needing to be on his best for the coming meeting.

Hoshirei took her passport back from Usagi and thanked the ANBU softly before stowing it back in her leg pouch. She listened as Maki stated they were going to head to the Tower. What was with hidden villages and towers for their leadership? At least Suna and Konoha had towers, though she would have to ask Maki if Kumo had a tower for their leaders as well. There was no doubt she would be going with her husband. She was extremely interested in meeting and getting to know more people outside of Konoha.

"I'm coming with you, at least for now. I can explore later."

The passports were quickly cleared before being handed back to them, Soku quickly taking hers and stowing it in the safe pockets of her cloak nodding appreciatively at the ANBU guard. As the seemingly illusionary wall before them gave way revealing the entrance into the village, the Captain had to control herself from exclaiming out loud in surprise. The sheer engineering and genius behind such a mechanism was an exemplary one for sure. The Captain shifted her feet at the mention of the Kazekage. She would rather leave the finer details of such things to the Hokage Advisor, if her presence was not obligatory, Soku would take the time to explore this curious little village dwelling, being it the first time she had actually set foot outside of Konohagakure, her curiousity was getting to her and the idea seemed more appealing than idling about in some large, grand room discussing matters of importance with top officials, important she was sure but she was all too used to the concept."I'm going to take a glance around if you all don't mind. See you all in a bit."She remarked to the other two casting a curious eye at the various buildings that littered the landscape.
