Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

After taking a long pull on his herbal cig, Junko decided to out it before entering the Bibliotheca. It had been quite some time since he visited the ancient building. He hadn’t spent time in the place since he was a medic in training studying biology and Vulgar variant of kumogakurian languages. Looking back, the Tsuyoshi shinobi had come quite far.
Usually, Junko wouldn’t need the library as he had his own library within the Tsuyoshi Estate, but to find the information he wanted, he’d need Kumogakures protected records that could be accessed by cloud natives. In addition, he’d spend as much time as possible brushing back up on his Kumogakure language.

Walking through the vast quiet building, Junko passed book shelf upon book shelf. Some people were studying, some were sleep, and many were searching just like he was. The people searching though looked like they knew where they were going though. ”Yeah, I have no idea where I’m going.” Junko said to himself. Turning, Junko decided to head towards the librarians desk.

In no time, Junko stepped towards a large librarians desk. Behind the desk was a somewhat older woman wearing glasses that had a pile of books in front of her. She was constantly opening a cover, stamping the inside, closing the cover, and repeated with the next book.

”Excuse me.” Junko said to grab the woman’s attention.

As she looked up, she gave a small press to her glasses to properly see the individual before her.

“Yes? Oh, Junko-sama how are you?”

“I’m doing quite well, how about you?”

“Just a lot of books to check in. Aside from that, I’m doing quite well. How can I help?”

“Mind pointing me in the direction of the books for the Kumogakurian languages?”

“Which one’s? Classical or Vulgar?”

“Vulgar.”

“No problem. Matter fact, I’ll escort you myself.” The woman said before standing to her feet. “It’s nice to see shinobi still interested in the language. Make sure not to let it die Junko-sama.”

“Yes mam.” Junko said with a respectful nod.

“Right this way.” The woman said beginning to escort Junko.

“I must ask, how is the Tsuyoshi family? It was reported that you were occupied by threats to your family.”

“It was reported?” Junko said raising a brow. He sounded a bit surprised, especially since the Raikage demoted him for not “checking in”.

“Yes, and it was updated in the Raikage and Sennin timeline documents as far as I know. Was it reported wrong?”

“No, It wasn’t reported wrong. I lost my brother through the chaos. I recently returned and dealt with some commotion involving Kumogakure not being properly updated on my whereabouts.”

“Really? I don’t see how. Anyways, here’s where the Kumogakurian language information rely. Sorry for your lost, can I help any further?”

“Yes, do you mind pointing me in the direction of the Raikage and sennin timeline as well? Perhaps I can be provided a copy for later use as well.”

“Absolutely, it’s also within this protected record section. Two sections down. You can’t miss it.”

“ήσουν μια μεγάλη επιδείνωση” Junko said trying to to remember what he could of the language.

κανένα πρόβλημα. And the proper statement would be ευχαριστώ για τη βοήθεια. Otherwise, you said “thanks for the aggravation.” The woman said giggling a bit at Junko’s mistake. His pronunciation was choppy and she could tell he was rusty.

Oh wow, haha. Sorry about that.” Junko said as the woman made her leave. Apparently he really did need to brush up. In addition, this part of his investigation was going to go smoother than he thought. A public record was available to prove that his whereabouts were known and check in’s were done. It was a perfect setup and wouldn’t require Junko to have to steal information. This information was something anyone in Kumogakure could learn.

For now, he’d focus on brushing up on his Kumogakurian language studies and move to the additional protected records later. Taking a few books from the shelves in front of him, Junko sat and cracked them open one by one.

Starting with the Vulgar variant, Junko could remember when he first studied the language. He spent months at a time reading and practicing. His words were often either wrong or sloppily said. Based off his conversation with the librarian, Junko still needed some work. Reading one book, Junko began looking at the history of the languages.

“The Vulgar Variant has its origins during the Chaos Era, when flocks of immigrants from decimated lands made their way to the nascent settlement in Lightning country. At first they ignored the traditional language until a wave of backlash nationalism swept Kumogakure's previous residents into action and began enforcing linguistically draconian laws.”

”Interesting” Junko thought. As he continued to read. ”If I can finish brushing up, perhaps this would be good when communicating with fellow Kumo shinobi in secret. Honestly, that’s why I first learned it in the first place.” Junko thought flipping to a page that had a wide range of words in Vulgar Variant and his normal language. Practicing, Junko began repeating the words in the book.

“How”

“πώς”

“Greatness”

“μεγαλείο”

“Leader”

“ηγέτης”

Continuing after a few hours, Junko began attempting to expand into sentences like he use to.

“How great leaders are born”

“πόσο μεγάλοι ηγέτες γεννιούνται”

“I will always fight to protect the village”

“θα αγωνίζομαι πάντα για να προστατεύσω το χωριό”

Whew, this is just as aggravating as when I first learned or should I say . . . αυτό είναι εξίσου επιβαρυντικό όπως όταν έμαθα για πρώτη φορά” Junko said beginning to get the hang of things again. Closing the books, Junko felt as if it was time to move on. He properly gave himself a refresher and could hold a better conversation. Putting up the books, Junko moved to where the Raikage and sennin timeline records were.

Cracking open the record book, Junko began looking over the history of the Raikages and sennin’s. He could see where Kitsune was stripped of medical sennin for treacherous acts, Akira forcefully taking the the position of Raikage and the entire breakdown of the incident surrounding his actions. Most importantly, he found the main thing he was looking for.

Record book:

“Tsuyoshi Junko is occupied by threats to his family, Shinrya Kahako returns to office”

This was proof that his check in’s were valid and the village knew that he was preoccupied involving his family being targeted. ”I wonder when this record was updated and this knowledge was publicly known.” Junko said to himself. Looking up, he waved for the librarian.

“Yes?”

“Can I have a copy of this time line? And when was this last updated?”

“I’ve already taken the the liberty of getting you the copy and the last time this was updated is right . . . Here” the librarian said giving Junko the authorized copy he desired and pointing out the last edited date.

“σας ευχαριστώ, είστε τόσο εξυπηρετικοί”

“No problem”

As the librarian walked away again, Junko couldn’t help but notice that the last edited date wasn’t even a year after kitsune was pronounced Raikage. Knowledge of Junko was always known due to his check in’s, that why no search party was ever dispatched. Furthermore, if this was known before kitsunes coronation, but edited after Kitsunes coronation, then she was the one that had to pronounce Junko dead and not Ayumu.

”Everything was valid. yet she pronounced me dead, demoted me, and lied involving the stealing of organs.” Junko thought shaking his head. ”It says here that council chose kitsune. All while knowing her background of treason right here in black and white. If council were trying to cover up kitsunes background, they definitely forgot the single most important document to alter. After all, it’s all public knowledge. Especially Akira Saito’s investigation records that started back from Raikage shins and Daisuke’s assassination all the way to him taking the Raikage position by force. “

Looking over the investigation records, It included statements, Akira’s reasonings, and more. Continuing his research, Junko also decided to look at the profiles of the Kumogakure council. If he was going to uncover possible corruption in the village, he’d know the individuals he was dealing with like the back of his hand. After acquiring all the authorized copies he needed from Akira’s public investigation records, council profiles, and Raikage/Sennin timeline; Junko placed the information inside a scroll for storage and later use. ”Just for extra insurance in case someone try to alter records later. I’ll also store this day.” Junko thought before making his leave.
