Christmas was over. Presents had been given, holiday cheer shared. One thing which always remains after is, you guessed it, the clean up. Luckily for Kumiko, since the task of changing all the chakra crystals within the residential zone was given to her so was the clean up. Not like the task before was any less tedious. Either way a mission was a mission and this Uchiha treated them all the same. Once more with a large backpack slung over her back filled with clear, non-colored crystals the black haired Uchiha set off from headquarters towards the residential district. She didn't envy the one responsible for the Grand Palais. That alone should be considered a C rank, at least, for all the hassle involved. Not to mention the drunkards getting in the way. This would be a simple switcheroo. No more than a couple hours tops.
Deciding to do the main roads first, one after the other, Kumiko took either red or green chakra crystals from the street lanterns. Tossing them in the bag she'd fish out a clear crystal, charge it with a small portion of her fire chakra to activate it, then place it back into the lantern and lock it shut. The main streets were a piece of cake. Though this time children did watch as she did so. There was no holiday cheer only people going about everyday lives. Business was back to business. It wasn't until Kumiko took to some of the back streets that she noticed it. ' Seems a little darker down here. That's odd. ' She thought to herself. She'd find not just one but multiple lanterns without any chakra crystal. ' Did someone already switch out the red and green crystals? If so why didn't they replace them. ' She pondered. Even without a crystal in there Kumiko charged one up anyway, placed it in the lantern, and locked it. However this side street wasn't the only one dimmed by the absence of a chakra crystal. A few of the others were missing them as well. A total of ten in all. " I'll have to include this in my report. " She muttered, hitching the backpack on her back into a more comfortable position. With her bag no full of only red and green crystals it was time to head back to headquarters to make her report, including the missing crystals.
