Ritsuko left her uncles house, she was on her way to one of her neighbors. The old lady living two houses down had asked if Ritsuko would do some house cleaning for her, while she was running some errands. Of course Ritsuko was also offered some pocket money, for her help. She arrived at her neighbors house just as she was about to leave, "Hello mrs nanra" Ritsuko smiled at the elder lady, and gave her a friendly nod. She had visited her neighbors house once before, because she should care for her cat. But it was dead now. Her house wasn't very big, it consisted of two rooms, and a toilet, one of the reasons Ritsuko accepted to do house cleaning, and the other was the money.
She entered the home, to Ritsuko it already looked like the house was clean, but maybe the elder liked ultra clean homes. She started with dusting the corners and the loft, and thereafter she removed the blankets and hanged them over a railing outside and started sweeping the floor. Apparently appearance can deceive, also when talking about cleaning, though the floor didn't look dirty Ritsuko got together a good amount of dust. She found a dustpan, and swept up the dust. After looking in every closet in the house she found a mop, and started washing the floor, then she went outside and pounded the blankets before putting them back inside. She also washed windows, and wiped off every surface in the house. At last she took the dishes, and then house cleaning was done. She walked a round in the house to see if she was missing anything, but it looked all good to her.
She put the cleaning tools back where they were found, just as the old lady returned home. She was happy for the result, and told Ritsuko that next time her house needed a thoroughly cleaning, she definitely would ask Ritsuko again. Ritsuko just smiled, as if she wanted to do house cleaning again, no. She was rushing to become genin so she could get out of this village, and be free of cleaning and babysitting.
The old lady placed a plate with cookies, and said she had prepared some for her. Ritsuko didn't want to be impolite and accepted the cookies, though she rather wanted to go home now. The old lady showed her over at the sofa and prepared some hot chocolate for her, Ritsuko finished the cookies, and told politely that she didn't like hot chocolate and with that she told her goodbyes, and leaved the house. Elderly persons always had something with welcoming her on cookies or something else, after helping them with something. Maybe they were just lonely.
She sighed as she closed the door, and then she leaved. It didn't take more than a few seconds to arrive home at her uncles house. She was finally done, she was home, she had earned some pocket money, and she still had 2 hours to train before dinner.
