Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Yasu closed his last book slowly, his eyes hurt from the hours of reading. The pile of books on the table had grown and grown as the day went on. Nothing...Again... Yasu stood up and began to put the books back one by one. "Any luck today Yasu?" The librarian asked with a hopeful tone. "...No...Its all the same... I have gone through every book in this Library and I cant find anything on the Ghost Walkers...This is it..Im done...I give up." The Librarian took Yasu by the hand and led him down the hall. "Well we cant have that now can we?" She led him to the door at the end of the hall, opened the door, and led him down the dimly lit stairs to a room covered in dust. The room was filled with books and scrolls that Yasu had never seen before. "Now Yasu these are the Archives. This room is for staff and Jonin ninja only, however you respect knowledge. I have watched you for months now an you take better care of our books then most of the people who come in. Maybe what you are looking for will be down here. You will have access to this room , but I warn you, under no circumstances are you to go down that corridor." The librarian pointed to a pitch black hallway at the end of the room. The librarian stopped when she noticed the unsure look on Yasus face. "Oh don't worry you aren't in any danger. Down there is restricted even to us. Only the Hokage and some of his counsel are allowed down there. AMBU guard the halls and may attack someone snooping around." The Librarian patted Yasu on the back and walked back up the stairs.
Alright. Lets get started.

Yasu stared going through all the old scrolls, brushing off the dust, reading the contents and then putting it back where he found it. If anything I'm just cleaning up around here. The thought made Yasu smirk. Adults always tricking me into doing their cleaning. Yasu spent days in the Archives, leaving only to eat and clear his head. Its was the forth day and Yasu noticed a large book on the top shelf in the corner of the room. It was to high to reach so Yasu used his clone jutsu to give him a boost. The book took two hands to lift and hold. It was thick too, Yasu judged it was at least 1000 pages. He struggled to put in on the table. He placed it down as gingerly as possible, as he did he noticed a slight problem. Its...Its locked... The book had a clasp on it the locked the book shut. Damn it. Yasu slammed his hands on the table in frustration. ..I give up. Yasu turned as he heard a faint click sound. He looked at the book and the lock seemed to unlocked. No way! Is this actually a strike of luck!? Yasu flipped through the pages with excitement, however his heart sank as he noticed that every single page was blank. Well this is stupid. Yasu sighed. Oh deciding to come back and annoy me again? Yasu smirked Funny... No this book, its... Like how are you supposed to learn anything from this? Why dose it even have a lock on it? Yasu closed the book and pushed it away. He sat back and rubbed his eyes. Maybe its like a practical joke? I mean why else go though all the trouble to put a blank book in here. Blank? What are you talking about? The book wasn't blank. If anything it looked like each page had like 50 pages layered on each page, making it impossible to read. Yasu quickly pulled the book back and opened it again. What are you talking about!? Their is nothing here! IM TELLING YOU IM LOOKING RIGHT AT IT AND THEIR IS!

Yasu took a deep breath and partially entered his limbo state. He turned to Hibiki "Alright, what are you talking about?" Hibiki pointed at the book. "Im not crazy! Just look!" Yasu shook his head and then looked at the book, his jaw dropped when he noticed writing. "The book isn't empty... I … I can read it. I don't see what you were talking about still but this, this is a book on ghost walkers!" Hibiki looked at the book again. "Do you think you can read it because you are one? Maybe I can see it because Im technically apart of you but since im not a ghost walker I cant actually read it?" Yasu looked at the book and then to Hibiki. "I don't know. Im going back to reality now though. I think I can just focus Chakra through my eyes to read this. Lets find out why Im like this and maybe find out why you are in my head." Yasu blinked and he was back in the archives. This is it. Im finally going t learn what I can do!

Kito steps into the library, tired. He quickly grabs a book on genjutsu, then places it down on a random table gently. He sits and opens the book to the first page. He reads "Genjutsu is an illusionary technique used to confuse your opponents. They are used by many shinobi but most of those are specialists in genjutsu. The Uchiha clan use genjutsu mainly with their unique eyes called sharingan". Kito thinks, "So... I can learn genjutsu". He suddenly spots Yasu reading a very large book on the other side of the room, not realizing that when he had been reading he had accidentally activated his sharingan. He sighs only to be told to shush by another student studying the history of the Hidden Leaf Village. He stands, deactivating his sharingan and walking around the room, looking at some book on the lowest shelf. He picks it up then reads the title, "A Guide To Uchiha Genjutsu." He swiftly picks it up and reads it eagerly, nearly finishing the book in one sweep.

Yasu picked up the book and walked up the stairs to the main part of the library. He walked over to the librarian with hopeful eyes. "Would it be alright if I checked this book out?" The librarian turned and appeared to look shocked and confused simultaneously. "That book has been here locked away for ages. It was here before I even started working here." She grew more puzzled the more she analyzed the situation. "Is that book unlocked? How ever did you manage to do that?" She took the book from Yasu and began to flip though. To her surprise the book to her eyes was completely blank. "How odd...I suppose if since its you I can allow it. Just be carful? Im not sure why a blank book is in our library in the first place much less why you want to check it out at all." Yasu smiled. "Thank you!" Yasu took the book over to a table. The lighting is way better up here anyway.

Yasu began to analyze each page. Using his abilities to see the hidden text about his lost bloodline. Hours past by in just moments. Anything good? Yasu squinting his eyes trying to focus. Well yes. Like all of it. This is crazy...Im on chapter 27 and its labeled Daemons. That's creepy as sh Yasus thoughts were interrupted by Hibiki. Someone is watching us.. Yasu looked up from his book. What do you mean? Im not sure... I just felt a flow of chakra. Yasu looked across the room to see an odd boy, or girl. Yasu couldn't tell. Form their slouched position over the table and the mask on their face Yasu was at a loss. Who wears a mask to a library? Yasu scratched his head. I.. I don't know... Can he even see I that thing? OH WHAT IF HE HAS TO WEAR IT IN ORDER TO NOT DIE! I almost guarantee that's not the case...your not going to let this go are you? ...no I am not.

Yasu left the table and began to casually stroll over to the masked stranger. Attempting to look like he was just looking at the selection of books. In a flash he made his way under the strangers table until finaly poking his head out right in front of the unsuspecting reader. "Can you even see in that?" This isn't how you meet new people...

Yasu stared at the stranger for what seemed like an eternity. Their is no way he doesn't see me, right? Maybe he is just ignoring you. Yasu crawled out from under the table, stared and stood awkwardly, then returned to his book. What the hell was that about...
Yasu sat and focused once more on the text of his strange book. His eyes danced along each page, however the more he read the less enthusiastic he became. Is this bloodline a cures? This is all bad. Well don't think that and expect me not to ask questions. Yasu closed the book and looked down at his hands. Hibiki...are you alone? Hibiki took a moment before responding, a pause Yasu took a note of. Ya, its just you and me, so I guess technically no. Not counting you then yes. Why do you ask? Well when we talk like this or even when I go into my Limbo state to actually see you we are alone, but this book says I can go deeper into it... and it calls it something different. Its referred here as a place where thing are nether dead nor alive. Yasu flipped a couple pages, And here its referred to as a realm that borders Hell itself... and finally close to the end its given the name Purgatory… That cant be right though. Like Purgatory Purgatory? Yasu flipped through more of the pages. And now back here at these pages I cant even read them. Its still too distorted for me to make out the letters. Maybe give it a rest for the day Yasu. You have been at this for days. Mokuba probably misses you, and Im sure Soras life has been way too calm with you gone. Yasu closed the book and put it in his bag. I suppose you're right... Maybe Im just not strong enough to read it yet. Ya that could be it. I mean I haven't even unlocked the ability to go full Limbo yet! I wonder what that is like. Even though Yasu and Habiki were separate people inhabiting one body Yasu could tell that his last thought really made Hibiki uncomfortable, almost terrified. At this point Yasu had the burning suspicion Hibiki was hiding something from Yasu. Yasu stood up and headed home.
