Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It was rare to find a time that Asari Rei wasn't caught up in a mission or other shinobi duties. Or at least it used to be. The raven haired kunoichi hadn't been on a mission in a couple of months. The normal routine on days such as this was mostly consisting of training for when she would return to the field even stronger for the next objective. There was always more to learn, more power to gain, more knowledge to learn, but at the same time what was it all worth if one never stopped to take pleasure in some of life's simpler joys? Sure, many would think of family or romance, but to the young kunoichi poor in these ways, there was a different source of home.

The first night the teen spent in Konoha she had taken a stroll to see what this place truly was. Even though the sun was down, the people were out and about in the Red Oak District. The petite girl found herself lost in the crowd, with only the motion of others and the smell of great food to lead her. Eventually she fell upon the perfect smell she had been following. The restaurant itself was a small little joint with only six barstools in the whole place. Fortunately, there was a single barstool empty and that night Rei found her new favorite food; ramen.

The young kunoichi frequented the ramen shop after that point on, treating herself to a night out sometimes before or after missions. When she was on stand-by in the village the girl tended to limit her budget. This once was an exception to the rule, but what would life be without them? Besides that, she had not stopped in her favorite spot in a couple of months, so she was overdue to see the Ichiraku family again. With all this in mind, the girl set off from the field she had been training in to the Red Oak District.

The girl with Chigokai blood running through her wore a pair of sunglasses when she headed into the village, as to not scare anyone who simply looked in her direction. If Rei wasn't wearing her signature dark sunglasses, she would probably be hiding her eyes behind her ANBU mask of a fox with red paint markings. The pale girl had a black tank top and black pants on that matched her long, straight black hair. She wasn't wearing any armor tonight, just out casually almost as normal as any other villager.

Rei's eyes saw the familiar ramen shop behind her sunglasses, and she smiled for a moment after taking a big inhale of the delicious smells and spices. 'Ichiraku Ramen' the sign read just outside of the bar with only six stools in the small establishment. Across the road was the other infamous competition for her favorite spot; Azumi's Dango Shop that served steamed dumplins. Once upon a time she had thought about trying the place, but after several visits to her favorite ramen shop, the rivalry was clear as day. The Ichiraku family was always trying to one-up their game to stay cool in comparison. The lantern outside and the lights inside of the small joint made the young Chigokai happy to have her sunglasses, and kunoichi said a quick "Hello." before she sat down in the far right barstool.

Upon the teenager's arrival the place was empty, so Rei was able to place her order for some pork-broth noodles with her favorite array of toppings with the Chef. He swiftly got to work and soon the whole place smelled divine. Thankfully the beautiful art of ramen was a fast one, and in only a few minutes after she had told the Chef what she liked to eat, it was sitting beautifully in front of her. The raven-haired girl reached to grab herself a set of chopsticks from the display bowl full of fresh ones and then happily began her favorite meal anywhere in Konoha.

Sora traversed through the streets at his leisure. It was a fairly nice day at that as the Uchiha strolled through the masses of people, not trying to get in anybodies way. The boy had on his usual attire of course. This consisted of a black hoodie with the sleeves pushed up to his elbows. The edges of the sleeves were red along with the edge of the bottom of the hoodie. The inside of the hood itself was red as well. The red drew attention to his upper half as on the lower he only wore a simple pair of black pants.

Sora gazed upon the scenery as he walked, many people had smiling faces on and the children walked ecstatically with their parents. Sora however walked alone with his hands slipped into his pockets. Sora never walked alone though, a group of girls were following him like usual. They dawned over him and he hated it. It brought a lot of attention to him with a herd of girls following him.As coal colored eyes scanned around, they fell in a ramen shop. This wasn't any ramen shop, it was the famous Ichiraku Ramen. Though surprisingly at this town it seemed only one person was there. Sora was, matter of fact, hungry. Ramen shop, hungry, of course he'd change his path and stroll towards the shop. He had only eaten here a few times and so he knew it was good.

As he entered he took a seat next to the other, that being a girl it seemed. He didn't necessarily pay her any thought, only that she was just a bit older than he was. Genin or Chuunin perhaps. He didn't care. Sora ordered his ramen and barely had to wait before it was there for him to enjoy.

The raven-haired girl slurped up her noodles in traditional fashion as she took in her surroundings. She had come before most people eat, avoiding the usual crowd that hung around. The place was small, so it was hard not to notice when another person pulled up a seat. Today it was a boy joining her with hair as dark as hers, and a black hoodie to match. The red hood he wore gave a splash of color to the otherwise black outfit he had on. A similar color preference as her own, the teenage kunoichi wondered if the boy sitting a couple seats down was another shinobi or just a boy who happened to like the color black. He ordered ramen, and the infamous Ichiraku family served up the order as quick as ever.

Rei wasn't one to start a conversation with a stranger, so she kept to herself as she ate some more of her large bowl of ramen. She was happy for the silence that returned to her, noticing that the other customer in the tiny joint wasn't much of a talker either. It wasn't a surprise to Rei when she was full before she managed to finish the dish, there was always too large of portions here. It was probably one of the reasons she kept coming back, though, the place is ran with so much sincerity. The father and daughter pair really trying their best to find new ways to please the customer. The rivalry the ramen and dumpling shops had going on for the best dish on the street was healthy, keeping both businesses on their toes.

The teenage girl pulled out her small black coin purse and paid her dues before saying her good-byes to the ever-nice family with the best ramen in Konoha. The ANBU was relieved that she had gotten a bite to eat before the rush came. She was the type to keep to herself, and not go out of her way to interact with others. In this dangerous lifestyle relationships were brief, so sometimes it was just less painful to not make them in the first place. And just like that the pale girl with the dark sunglasses was back on her lonely way down the crowded Oak District.

Sora never paid any mind to her as he began to eat. Of course he took note that she was there, but just like anyone else on the street, he didn't pay them any attention. He loved the peace he got in here since the group of girls outside wouldn't come in. Besides there wouldn't even be enough seats for them, even with the girl beginning to leave.

Instead of eating right away like most, he waited a few moments before quickly eating his noodles. Despite how calm and collected he looked, he ate fast, not in the slow and sophisticated way he should be based on his looks.

As he began to finish up, he noticed the time. At this time was when the place would be full and noisy so Sora didn't hang around any longer than he needed to. He paid of course and got up, returning to the streets. That girl from earlier dressed like him.. the single thought of her disappeared at that from the squealing of the group of girls once they saw him again. He closed his eyes and shook his head, hands slipped back into his pockets while he strutted all the way back home.

On the way home the topic that began to rise in his head was what type of training to do when he got back. Maybe he should ask his brother to do some sparring with him whenever he got back from a mission? If not he decided to work further on his sharingan.
