Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A horn would sound as mysterious figures were approaching the gate. The raging snow storm made it hard to see and due to it being a rather large group, it probably made the guards a bit uneasy.

Little did they know, it was a Kumogakure native. a native that went by many titles. Some thought of him as death itself, others believed he was a simply family man, and some deemed him as one of the strongest in the world after his showcase in tea country during the world tournament. The prodigy brother Junko, had finally returned. . . .

His hair had grown a bit longer. As usual, Junko had his suit attire despite it looking like it been through hell. Instead of one, now two katanas sat at his side. His eyes were now somewhat lifeless and had bags underneath. Lastly, his body was bigger due to increase in muscle-mass.

Carrying a body wrapped in gauze over his left shoulder, Junko exhaled causing the heat from his breath to create a small mist that flowed from his mouth. The journey he had just endured was hard and long. Once again, he was gone from home too long.

Beside Junko was the rest of his family. Junko’s wife, kirenia. The young twins, Rintaro and Yutaro. His adopted son of the ANBU, Yoshi, along with two additional ANBU personnel. Everyone had changed, especially the twins. One look at them and one could tell that they were on a completely different level than before. Without a doubt, the twins were full fledge ninja now.

Although still young, they were jounin level ninja and could likely hold their own against high ups. After all, they were trained by Junko himself.

During the time away, Junko made sure to teach everything he knew, medically and combat wise. In all honesty, he didn’t have a choice. If he didn’t teach his children, they would’ve likely suffered the same fate as Aiko. . . Who was wrapped in gauze and over Junko’s shoulder.

"It feels good to be home."

"What's the first order of business Dad?"

"We take your uncles body to the Tsuyoshi Estate and go visit Ayumu. I must report everything to the Raikage."

Walking up to the gate, Yoshi along with the two additional Anbu personnel signaled for the gate guards.

The blizzard raged on for a few moons. The height of the snow made it difficult for common merchants and travellers to make their way into the city. The signal rang throughout the compound at the gates. Chatter echoed into a young woman's ear piece, gaining information of a moderately large party of travellers making their way to the gate. Rising from her seat a calloused hand gripped her red jacket. Throwing it on underneath of her grey ANBU issued vest and adorning her golden mask to her face, followed by a hastened walked out of the office room.

Lifting long black tresses out from underneath her jacket Mirō made her way towards the village gates. Some time had passed as she awaited the arrival of the party. Standing atop of the gate with her arms folded underneath her bust, red hues took note of the group. To her surprise, two persons sported recognizable ANBU greys. However their escort was unknown to her. Carrying a large object over his shoulder Mirō wasn’t fond of his aura. The possibility of a threat never left her gut as she leapt off the top of the village gates and onto the snow covered ground beneath her.

Her vibrant red hues fell onto those lifeless tired orbs the ‘leader’ possessed. Gazing back towards the rest of the group taking a headcount. Without a word Mirō awaited the two in familiar garments to reveal their ANBU sigils to her for ease of access. It was the most effortless way to gain entry. A heavy gust of wind kicked snow up and about, her vision never wavered. “State your name and business or reveal the proper certifications.” Arms remained folded underneath her chest. You’d think exposed toes and barely covered legs, the young shinobi would be shaking.

Days like these were often simple and quite nice, to say the least. Kang did like reading a nice book while on gate duty. There were ANBU hidden around, though one could never be too sure how many there actually were at any given moment. There were large towers overlooking the scenery that would be able to give notice to the people manning the gate to be on alert. Thus, on this day Kang did have a fair amount of ease. MAybe alittle too much. Nothing seemed to be going on aside from some simple merchants entering to exchange goods with the citizens of Kumo.

However, the horns would sound as someone with considerable chakra would arrive. Not just one but multiple signatures seemingly coming at a slowly pace. Nothing malicious, yet, but one could never be too alert for such a situation. Grabbing his blade and clasping it to his belt, Kangetsu would leap into the air before landing in a mixture of dirt and snow a good twenty yards or so from the unit that were talking amongst themselves.

"Hello Travelers! Might I as-", stopping in his tracks he would look tot he woman that would now be taking the lead in this, he'd wait before doing the whole gate procedure. If there was to be a fight, he would like to have some chance for adjusting to them from a distance, though it didnt do him well to be the only one out here... but now that there was an ANBU he didnt feel so weary. Gusts of wind would follow and Kang would wonder how someone so small didnt wear upwards of at least three layers of bear skin to keep from frost bite.

Twas the way of ANBU he guessed...

Just as the ANBU personnel signaled for the gate guards. . .

In an instant, a rather good looking woman based on her physique appeared on the gates. Her hands were folded under her breast and you could tell she was about business. Her red eyes glared down at the group and she spoke with authority.

“State your name and business or reveal the proper certifications.”

In addition, a young man appeared before the group. He seemed much more cheery and decided to play the backup role. This was all standard procedures of course. Sadly, Junko didn’t recognize either of the shinobi. It had been quite some time. So much time in fact, that he lost track of time.

“This is Tsu-“

“Tsuyoshi Junko. Along with me is the Tsuyoshi family.” Junko said interrupting the Anbu personnel.

It felt good to say. Especially looking back to where Junko came from. Junko and his brother Aiko were nothing more than filth lower than village sewer rats growing up. Homeless and taken in under the tutelage of Raikage Hayata Shin and Medical Sennin Daisuke. Going from no home, no family, and no skill to having a prominent estate in Kumo that helped all orphans, created a family, promoted to leadership, and broadcasted skills renowned around the world. The Prodigy Brothers has truly built an astounding legacy.

The only thing out of place. . . . was Aiko . . .

“The lady looks pretty good don’t ya think Yu?” Rin said whispering to Yu while winking.

“Shut up dimwit. . . you don’t even know what her face looks like.”

Suddenly, Karin who was Junko’s wife slapped Rin upside the head.

“Please, don’t mind him.”

Pulling out passports just in case they were still needed, the Tsuyoshi family complied to the normal procedures.

“Young man, could you do me a favor?” Junko said directing his attention to the second gate guard. “Could you inform Raikage Ayumu of my return or simply send a messenger? I’m sure he’d be astound to know of my return.”

Red hues drifted over to the arrival of another village shinobi. His identity was unknown but with green hair he stuck out like a carrot in the ground. Mirō was more than capable to handle herself in a fight if one started however, the man centerfold has an intimidating aura. From the look of his hardened eyes and commanding voice it was safe to say he was a skilled shinobi. Even at his age she was sure he was more than lethal.

Her attention returned back to the man who came out as ‘Tsuyoshi Junko’. ‘Never heard of him.’ Thinking to herself and her summon if she cared to intervene. His ANBU guards silenced themselves at his voice. Mirō lifted her head up to take account for the bodies in the party. Ignoring the rambling of the males inspecting her physique. A womans voice called out to her, retorting with a menacing glare at the figure that was struck.

Cautiously Mirō approached the party, extending a hand out to review their passports and information. All was in order, proper signatures and stamps. Sigils for the ANBU operatives lined the paperwork as well. “Owner of the Tsuyoshi Estate. Impressive. Welcome back Tsuyoshi family. The paperwork accounts for one more person. Where are they?” Mirō wanted to make the assumption of the luggage draped over Junko’s shoulder was a person in gauze. She decided to let him do the talking. “As for the Raikage, Ayumu is no longer in that position. Maybe my colleague here can fill you in with details.” Waiting for the last bit of information on the missing person before allowing the Tsuyoshi family entry.

'Never heard of that name...' Thinking to himself for a bit, Kang would stand back and watch the ANBU do her magic. Along with the kiddish banter of the others that were along for the ride. Kang didn't seem to see anything out of order with the transaction but the thoughts running through his head kept bringing him back to a group of names he'd heard about. Tsuyoshi was something of a familiar name... but maybe he was thinking of something or someone else? Who knew at this point... Kang just kept quiet. Though that was until Kang heard a voice speaking up towards him. It was the man leading the group, but Ayumu was the name that he spoke out... when talking about the Raikage?

'Ayumu... He's not been around for... Five years now?' the grassy haired chuunin would think to himself giving a look of pure befuddlement to Junko. "Uhm, I can radio the Raikage tower... But Ayumu isnt going to be the one I'd be relaying the message to...", nodding he would bring his pointer to his lip from behind a gloved hand. "Shinrya Kitsune has been Raikage for at least... Five years now? I was around fourteen when she was coronated." nodding as he remembered. He wasnt there but it was a big deal in the village especially when there was a new leader.

Kang, however, would reach for his radio near his left shoulder plate, "~//~This is Mura Kangetsu at the Gate, Notify Shinrya-sama that the Leader of the Tsuyoshi House has returned.~//~" from there he would wait for the confirmation from the other end, for which Junko would hear clearly himself. How long had he been gone? And could this be a rouse to let someone that wasnt who they said they were into the village... Kang had a growing suspicion with this individual... Had he not checked in in that long? Kang began looking at the man with an ever inquisitive eye...

He was not convinced just yet....

“Mannn dad, they probably never heard of you”

Immediately, Rintaro burst into laughter.

“Dad, maybe you’re getting old?”

“Oh no, I hope not. Old dads are usually grumpy Rin.”

“Cut it out you two.”

Smirking and shaking his head at his children as they began showing their passports and documentation, Junko was simply glad to be home. Especially after everything him and his family had endured. It was a blessing just for Rin to have a sense of humor still. As the ANBU gate guard observed the documentation, she realized that the family before her was the owners of the Tsuyoshi Estate.

For her to even think it was impressive and voice it made the family happy on the inside. So much time, work, and money had gone into building their family legacy. All sprouting from Junko and Aiko. As quick as the gleam of happiness came on the inside, it left just as quick as the ANBU guard asked about the one person missing.

Well, he was there. . .

He was just . . . dead . . .

A wave of silence would wash over the family. Even Rintaro didn’t see a reason to laugh or try to lighten things up anymore.

“Tsuyoshi Aiko. Killed in action for the completion of our mission dealing with something called dimiterium. My brother, That’s who I hold here with me.” Junko said breaking the silence.

As the conversation continued, the guards gave some interesting news. Raikage Ayumu was no longer the Raikage. Instead, it was Shinrya Kitsune.

Raising a brow, Junko couldn’t help but think. . . “What the hell has been going on here?” Not only was Kitsune Raikage, but she’s been in the position for the last 5 years. “I must say, that’s a bit of a shock. When I left, Kitsune was no more than a med-nin after being demoted by me as the Medical Sennin at the time. Her combat skills were of a novice level. A level that cost lives and would cost more lives if not improved upon.” Junko said beginning to think.

A wave of memories clashed through Junko’s mind. He could vividly remember the autopsy he done on the bodies of Raikage Hayata Shin, Daisuke, and a genin. Three people that ended up dead because Kitsune and Keiji failed to stand up and fight as ninja should for their village. Instead, they simply stood by and watched. Junko also remembered putting Kitsune to the test later down the line when he became medical sennin. After brining her to her knees, sapped of chakra, and bloody. . . Junko realized that during the time of Shins and Daisukes death’s, she was simply too weak.

Regardless, two S ranking ninja died along with a genin. While two elite ninja lived to tell the tale without a scratch. In the words of Akira Saito, shouldn’t it have been the other way around? The genin should’ve lived to tell the tale.

“I pray she fully redeemed herself from the past and turned a new leaf as I had planned for her. And ultimately proving herself as an asset to the village. Not only in times of peace, but in chaos as well.” Junko said. After all, that was the reason he demoted her. He realized for her to go forward, she had to first go backwards. In addition, Junko knew hard times was coming for the village hidden in the clouds.

This product of dimiterium was serious and the enemy had found a way to strike Aiko in a way that he completely lost all access to chakra. The attack took Aiko from a S-rank shinobi, to a mere man. Once he was a mere man, his fate was sealed.

For five years, Junko had been on a personal investigation involving the product in tea country. His brother was taken, the discovery of two of several trade routes of the product was discovered, criminal organizations were joining in on the trade, and churches were found spewing nonsense about the evilness of chakra users. One of the main reasons Junko was gone so long was the discovery of developing trade to kumogakure. With Aiko taken captive and the vital discovery, Junko didn’t want to return and bring hell with him. He fought to bring back intel that’ll play a valuable role down the line.

Little did he know though, hell was already accumulating in kumogakure. It was only a matter of time before things erupted.

“How has Kitsune been as a Raikage in your opinions? And I must ask, have either of you heard of dimiterium?” Junko asked waiting for the radio response and to be permitted in. In all honesty, he was hoping they were clueless when it came to dimiterium.

Silence always spoke loudly. Red hues gazed at the faces of each party member. Junko explained what happened when a certain word caught Mirō’s attention. A fine brow rose into the sky. Dimiterium? The same substance she and a few other nin had to get from the compound that… was now a crater. ‘Dimiterium… how many church fanatics have their hands on such dangerous material?’ Thinking to herself a voice invaded her mind. ‘What’s Dimiterium?’ Hesitant to explain herself ‘I’ll tell you later.’ Responding quickly to the pleasant voice in her head.

Mirō returned all the documentation back to their respective owners. The Tsuyoshi family minus one… This man was quite the ninja apparently. The head of the clan trained the Raikage himself? Mirō didn’t trust his tongue. A new face shows up to the gate and explains that he trained the current Raikage... nothing sat right in her gut. As for proving herself to the village… Morale was at a slow but steady incline. Threats of war had ceased with Leaf village after the Hokage made a personal visit with the Raikage. Mirō was merely an AiT when that happened.

As for her combat prowess, Mirō had never seen the Raikage in action. It didn’t matter to her either. It would be the ANBU who would defend the Raikage with their lives. All Kitsune has to do is lead Kumogakure forward into the light. Mirō would bloody her hands if needed. “The Raikage has been highly beneficial to the village since her inauguration.” Mirō bit her tongue, refraining from leaking vital information, especially on the topic of Dimiterium. “Currently Dimiterium is being investigated into. That’s all we have.” Those red hues stared into Junko’s lifeless eyes. In order for her to trust anyone, even village citizens, it would take more than a kind smile and being the Master of the Raikage.

Mirō stepped back. A tone scarred arm bent to prop her hand on her hip. Before allowing them access back into the village it was her turn to pose a few questions. “I’m sure you know of the regulations and policies Kumo upholds to those who leave the village. Persons are required to ‘check in’ with the village every year.” It was odd hearing that Junko is now finding out about the new Raikage. Long midnight tresses fell to the side as Mirō tilted her head. Eyeing up Junko again, “You would have heard about the new Raikage if you checked in. Five years down the road and you’re finding out now Ayumu no longer holds the position. Where have you been?”

Those red hues began to burn intensely like a rekindled bonfire. Those who could not follow simplistic rules irritated her like fleas on Maru. Soft ears twitched at the chime of radio static from her green-haired counterpart. Her free hand palmed the gold one horned mask that adorned her face, shaking her head side to side. “Not hunting for you falls onto our military's lap. However, you could’ve always sent a report out.” Mirō’s foot tapped impatiently as she awaited an answer from the head of the Tsuyoshi family. “I’m sure these other members have the ability to send a report in. If not, we might have an issue.” Mirō turned her attention to each individual then over towards the green haired main brancher. "What's the word on the Raikage's response?"

After receiving their passports and documents back, everything checked out fine. Junko was grateful that the gate process was running smooth. After all, he had been gone for quite sometime and he was carrying his deceased brother.

The last thing Junko wanted . . . was to be delayed . . . by any means. Of all times to piss Junko off, this would definitely be the worst time.

“The Raikage has been highly beneficial to the village since her inauguration.”

“That’s good to hear. It’s good to know kitsune has redeemed herself from her past and pushing the village in the right direction.” Junko said with a nod as he began taking a few steps to begin entering the village.

As the Tsuyoshi Family was about to enter, the ANBU gate guard also mentioned that Dimiterium was beinginvestigated. That was something that Junko didn’t want to hear. The fact that ANBU personnel even needed to investigate it meant that trouble was likely already brewing in the city.

Junko’s eyes looked to his brothers body he had wrapped in gauze over his shoulder. Knowing the spiritual nonsense, damage, and the criminal network that dimiterium brings, Junko knew that the intel he’d gathered during his time away would be beneficial to kumogakure. First, he needed to get in and meet with Kitsune to see the status involving dimiterium.

Suddenly, the group was brought to an immediate halt as they could tell that they hadn’t been fully permitted in yet. . . despite all the documentation checking out.

“I’m sure you know of the regulations and policies Kumo upholds to those who leave the village. Persons are required to ‘check in’ with the village every year.”

“You would have heard about the new Raikage if you checked in. Five years down the road and you’re finding out now Ayumu no longer holds the position. Where have you been?”

Silence washed over the group again, but this time it was different. The feeling of tension would grow with every tap of the Anbu’s foot as she shook her head. It was almost as if she was testing or mocking the Tsuyoshi family. Especially Junko as his cold eyes met hers.
“Not hunting for you falls onto our military's lap. However, you could’ve. . . “

“Shut up lady. . . “ Rintaro said interrupting. His anger had boiled over and everyone could tell.

“Rintaro. . “

“No mom, doesn’t she see my dead uncle? And haven’t we not seen home in 5 years? And she’s questioning us about some damn guidelines?”

“That’s enough”

“But father . . .”

“Shut up Rin”

“No!”

“Didn’t I say THAT’S ENOUGH!” Junko said with authority as he locked eyes with rintaro while clenching one of his fists causing his knuckles to crack. Immediately, a dense chakra pressure would be released.

a1c764cf5abb6c90-.gif

No visible chakra would be seen, but pure power would be felt as dragons tooth pass would tremble.

“I’m . . . Sorry” Rintaro said as his heart raced. Out of all their training, the young man still couldn’t believe the power their old man possessed. To even be able to fight the man, ones body had to be able to withstand his chakra pressure first. Otherwise, you’d be brought to your knees and probably puke on the spot.

And just as quick as things would escalate, things would also simmer back down.

Looking back to the gate guards, Junko gave it a moment.

We were in Tea Country. I was sent for the world tournament. An issue of dimiterium came up. As medical sennin I decided to make it a covert operation for the sake of the village.

As for my contacts, it was with these three ANBU personnel. I sent them messages, but they were not to send anything back or push any information forward as it could endanger kumogakure.

In my last message, I told them to meet me in the outer village. We’ve only recently Rendezvous and this is the first conversation we’ve had concerning who’s Raikage. As you can see, our minds were on other things.”
Junko said while also pointing out everything his hot headed son just mentioned.

Immediately following up, the ANBU humbly stepped forward. “Everything he says is correct. If you all would, please . . . Let’s go inside.”

Zaraki Style - Physical Style (2 points)

Restriction- C Rank and up

This style of fighting is the epitome of offense, abandoning almost all defense in order to deal the most damage possible. Considered insanity by most, only the Reckless would possibly use such a way of fighting.

Effect: Increases all physical damage dealt by 30% and received by 15%. The user gains +1 accuracy. All CP costs are increased by 15% while active.

Huge Power - Boost (1 point)

Restriction- Can be purchased up to three times

Tough as nails, a Reckless fighter is never afraid to show their strength. Their melee attacks, whether with the brute force of their fists or the cold metal of their weapons, tend to be much stronger than normal.

Effect: +5% melee damage.

No Limits - Passive (2 points)

The Reckless fighter is very experienced at pushing their body beyond what anyone else would consider reasonable or even sane. As a result, they can hit harder than anyone else can, though at cost to themselves.

Effect: Max damage cap for melee Taijutsu is increased to 80%. However, for every 10% damage beyond the 50% cap the user adds, they take 5% recoil damage for all melee attacks made.

Duelist

+2 Accuracy / +10% damage

Weapon: Bare hands

-2 accuracy / +10% damage

Weapon attunement

+5% damage

Total Damage Buff: +70%

Those red eyes Mirō possessed cast a wicked glare at the uppity man child. The disrespect made her scowl underneath her mask. Before Mirō could retort the mother injected and soon after Junko intervened. Her sharingan watched his anger swell up. An impending storm was coming.

Suddenly a shift in chakra from Junko made the uppity brat fall to his knees in compliance. The hostile twitch of Junko’s muscles sent Mirō’s instincts into defensive mode. Surrounding Mirō and the green haired nin in a gravitational force field it acted like a barrier to prevent incoming attacks and suppression. Her eyes frantically moved around the field then back at the now obedient kid. He rose up slowly, giving her the indicator that whatever Junko was attempting was over. The massive aura of chakra that surrounded him receded back down to normality. Mirō let her barrier fall from both of them.

bh5HI.png

‘What in Raiden’s name was that?’ A soft spoken voice emerged in her head once more. ‘A massive spike in chakra. Reminds me of Maru’s dread aura. He used it to suppress his son.’ Mirō cleared her throat after his facade was over.

‘Tea country for the world tournament… Tch, that checks out.’ There was truth behind his words that she could confirm. Intel on the tournament was rampant throughout her sector, the dimiterium news was also another saving grace. Shortly after, an ANBU operative stepped forward, Mirō threw a passive aggressive glare at the operative. She mulled over the information one last time, slowly her free hand rose into the air to signal the doors to be opened for the Tsuyoshi family.

Creeping open slowly, it gave Mirō one last chance to speak. “Before returning home I ask you to immediately seek an audience with the Raikage at her office, alone.” Her orotund voice was sure to be heard by the rest of the Tsuyoshi family. Mirō turned to her side towards the other nin. “Inform the secretary of the Raikage’s office that the Tsuyoshi family has returned with… vital news.” Her gaze was cast back at the party, “Welcome home, Tsuyoshi family.” As a violent gust of snowy wind brushed past the individuals, Mirō dispersed into minute shreds of paper. Mimicking the snowflakes it was hard to differentiate the two.

It was almost like everything had stopped. Everything around him, Stopped. The amount of chakra energy. The amount of pressure he had exerted at this moment shook the very foundation of everything Kangetsu stood on. His body instantly dropped... the ringing and buzzing in his ears made his whole world quake. He could feel the welling up in his stomach... THAT amount of pressure he'd never felt before. Hell he felt that pressure superseded the Raikage's power... but he'd never seen nor felt Kitsune dish out that much pressure. All in all Kang shook with his hands in the snow for a few moments before fighting back the urges to hurl his lunch unto the empty canvas of snow beneath him.

'What is this...'

Looking up after a moment he would begin to gather himself. Understanding that this was about to be over from the situation that fell into his lap. Was this man real? Was he able to have more pressure about him than that he was showing? Was there a level of power far and wide above what he knew now? If so, how could a feeble weakling as Kangetsu begin to reach that level? Was this a beginning of a new stage for his line of thinking...

He'd finally begun to stand slowly, and as he did such he would roll his shoulders and brush off his clothing. "Embarrassing. To say the least, Ugh... I'm not too sure about how I feel about this ANBU-san, but your call...", shaking his head a bit he would look to Junko and the rest of his family before setting his eyes on the leaving ANBU.

"~//~Send word to the Raikage. Tsuyoshi Junko has been allowed within the village... ~//~" Nodding as he would release the button on his radio. Once they had all entered he would return to his post.

Falling to the cold ground layered with snow, the green haired shinobi couldn’t take the chakra pressure despite the ANBU’s efforts to defend him.

Junko had seen it many times. The look of shock, the urge to hurl, and some had the expression of fear once they felt the pressure alone from his chakra. It was a blessing for others and a curse.

A blessing because ones mind could be opened. They’d understand that they too could become much stronger and could possibly go pass their own limits. Their definition of what strong really meant would be placed on a higher scale.

Still, it was a curse for some because fear would breathe down their neck as discouragement seeped into their minds. How would they ever reach such a level? And how long would it take? What would it cost them? Their lives perhaps. . .

Junko had trained for many years to reach this level that transcended beyond time and reality itself. . . He learned from greats such as Daisuke and the pupil of Shinbatsu; Raikage Akira Saito. It was only natural to be great after such powerful tutelage.

Junko had even reached a point to be able to bend reality enough to store up time and even steal time. He could probably be seen as immortal with such abilities, but only time would tell.

“Before returning home I ask you to immediately seek an audience with the Raikage at her office, alone.”

“Welcome home, Tsuyoshi family.”

“Thank you. It’s good to be home.” Junko said with a nod as his family entered.
