Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It had been some time since Megami had been in the prison. Essentially, their prison was nothing more than a giant hole in the ground, damp and cold, with nothing but some minor lighting running along the walls. She knew that the further into the prison one went, the more insane and violent the prisoners became. Down in the darkest depths were the most dangerous of criminals. Megami would walk the members she had just met with through a sort of, service entry, and enter the more well lit part of the prison. "In this wing of the prison, we keep members who are under suspicion. It's policy that until we have viable proof whether someone is guilty or innocent, they are placed in comfortable cells. The innocent shouldn't be treated like criminals, and criminals deserve their last few days to be worth it. The body and soul is sacred, and should be respected." This was a policy that Megami put in place. She'd seen how her old superior treated people, like they were all guilty, like they all deserved to rot away in pain and sorrow. She didn't agree with that. Until there was proof, they had no right to make someone feel so helpless.

She walked towards one of the cells, which turned out to be more of a room than anything, as it had an iron door with a window slot, and a small vent for food trays. She opened the door, and allowed all to fully see the room Kazuki would be held in for, at most, 2 weeks. It looked more like a very bland version of a dorm room. There was a twin bed, with pure white sheets, with a sturdy mattress and a single pillow. There was a small desk containing paper and a pen for letter writing, and a stocked food cabinet with a cooling unit for drinks. In the corner were two walls that came up to average neck height, with single opening. Inside was a standard toilet and shower. The walls were a pale white and a single light lit the room quite well. Overall, it wasn't the worst place possible to be. "You can see we try to make everyone comfortable. Even some of the lowly cells that house the worst of criminals are kept up to meet the humane standards, though nothing as good as this. Meals are brought around 3 times a day, and letters may be sent in and out. There is always a guard on duty 24/7. Once I can get ahold of those that you've requested to see, I'll send for someone to transport you." She spoke to Kazuki on these matters directly, as this would probably be what he wanted to know. Maybe not what he wanted to hear, as he would most likely just want to hear that he was free to go, but what choice did she have to keep her own village safe?

Turning to the rest of the group that followed, she spoke to them. "He will be held here until either the Tsuchikage, the Hokage, or another Sennin of Leaf, or stand in, dismiss these accusations to be false, confirm them to be true, or the 2 week time period is up. As I've stated, in this country, he is not labeled as a criminal, we are holding him only in stead of your village for the time being, and under the agreement that we came to Leafs aid, and are in an acting treaty thus far." Leaning against the cell door, and crossing her arms, Megami looked between Kazuki and Shida. "Now is there anything else that needs to be requested or said before I take my leave, or are the terms clear?" Megami knew that anything could be said in disagreement or disapproval, but this was Stone's prison and this was how they best handled things. At the very least, it couldn't be said that she was at least trying to make the right calls, given the position she found herself in. But shortly after this, she'd be paying a visit to the Kage on this matter.

Kazuki followed the group like a little lamb. That was his role to play at the moment. The rise of the Senju was fast approaching but the Overlord of the mightiest clan would bide his time. He would plot away and soon his plans would commence. And like a wave, it would grow and grow until the entire world was drowned under his might. But the first shore to receive his wrath would be the Fire Daimyo. The traitor to the ninja cause, the killer of many, someone that was worse than scum. And the former Sennin had a special fate just for that guy, he would suffer for all eternity as a slave to the White Wolf as he would capture the Daimyo's soul and turn him into his servant. But that was for another day. Today it was captivity day, though the captor had changed. If before he was under Shida's wing, now he was at the hands of Tsuchigakure.

The group traversed part of the Hidden Village and ended up in a Hole. "So their prison is a hole. Seems fitting." he though as they entered the prison, stopping in front of the door that was located in the first floor. According to Megami, that was the level where people under suspicion were locked. The most comfortable level and with lesser dangerous folk. It was also the level with the lower security measures. After the foreign Sennin opened up the door for the Silvery Haired Man's new cell, Kazuki carefully inspected his future accommodations. Twin bed, a small desk with paper and pen on top, a stocked food cabinet. That was all the room had to offer. That and something new, his cell had a private area that served as bathroom. "I have seen and I have been in worse places than this one. Actually, to some people I have met and fought before, this seems like a palace. This will do. And thank you for accepting me request." the Overlord thanked her. He was about to enter his dorm, when Megami spoke again, making to instantly stop what he was about to do and turn around once more.

After listening to what she had to say, the former Sennin shook his head once. "Other than what I have requested already, none so far. That might change once I am free once more though. But since we have two full weeks before that moment, no point in talking about it is there? I am certain we are all busy people and some of us are expected elsewhere I am certain. Go in peace and be certain that Senju eyes are watchful." the White Wolf declared. There could be plenty of interpretations to his sentence, but he couldn't care less to which one they ended up selecting as true.

Souji followed along making sure that they would be safe, especially the Sennin in this case and with every passing moment he couldnt stop thinking about... that day... the things thye did.. how it continued to ring in his mind since then. He genuinely had fun. More fun than he had in a long while... shaking his head he'd get back to business. He would watch them, looking into the Hole and making sure everything was chakra sealed and secure. He scanned the area with an ANBU Technique making sure there were no break out attempts. Either way... there was something that he could do about this. Right? Maybe... but he would only stay quiet until things were handled and afterwards maybe he would ask... Her... something?

Then we came to a place that would serve as the holding place for the prisoner. It was a seemingly well lit place from the rest of it but, it still said prison, at least to me. So the Dragons and Sweet Suki go down down down the hole and then the lady stops and is all like "this is going to be his cell." Thing was, it wasn't a prison cell, it was a motel room. Typical, the Shida-Man puts up charges against humanity on this man and the Senju gets the 'suite life.' REALLY?! Travesty. The Lightning chick and Senju talk bit, mean while entered in and saw something like a fridge. Excellent. I helped myself to the beverage that the dark haired guy following us around owed me. As I walked out of the room, the twins laughed but I didn't see what was funny.

J 2:(Humored) *In unison* Hmhmhm hahaaaaa, dannng."
PT: (Confusion) *To Twins after a gap* "What?"
J Bird: "Dissin' that man in his own cell"
J Blue: "Your earning our respect more and more."
PT: (Confident) "I'm sure the Shida-Man wouldn't mind, and that's all that matters."

The Shida-Man decide to speak to the natives while the twins and I chatted up a bit.

The Shida-Man:(Plain) *To Lightning* "While ah think this is way too good fer 'im, it'll do fer now. *To Kazuki* No matter how this here part plays out, it ain't over. Far from it."
Auntie Suki:(Sarcasm) "Awe how sentimental. (Impatient) Now can we warp this up please, s%@^?"
Replay: (Worry) "Wait, where's Gando?"

Little did we know, G Heavy had wondered deeper into the hole. Y2K had noticed and decide to follow. Not much further from the group, but getting there...
Y2K:(Curious) *Walking with caution* "Fool, what are you doing?"
G Heavy: (Suspicion) *Walking* "I have an inkling. There is something here."
Y2K: "Like?"
G Heavy: "... Something I,... I should... I don't know."
Random Prisoner: (Calling) "Who's there? I *Deep inhales* feel you there."

In a somewhat darker area of the structure, a man laying on the floor sits up immediately. After looking in the direction of the duo, he pulls himself up slowly and moves toward the two to meet them right, as closely as the cell would allow anyway. The guy was like 6'5"ish and his skin was a dark tan. He had short black hair but the style was hard to explain except it was ?kinda? spiky. And the dude looked stronger than the usual guy you know, that area between extremely athletic and body builder. But there was something off about this guy, like he looked human but not quite, you know like,... he didn't feel right.

Gando: (Drawn) *Moving closer to cell* "Who are you?"
Prisoner: (Pleased) "Ahhh, your so familiar to me. You are *Deep inhale* a part me~AN, extension of me. Share your name with me,... Goganzi."
Gando: "Yobarri Gando."
Goganzi: "Ahhh Yobarri,... that's who.*Glances up briefly* Yes, Yobarri... Yobarri Tamoka."
Gando: (Suspicion) "How... did you know my mother's name?"
Y2K:(Deep Worry) "Uhhhmm Gando, lets get the f$%# away from this creepy looking freak and ahead back to the group."
Goganzi: (Recalling) "Child, your mother I'll never forget. She was the most beautiful of her savage people you know. She was *deep inhale* truly remarkable. Never have I experienced such stttrrrrrength~such, ferocity.
Gando:(Anger) "What do you mean?"
Goganzi the Freak: "Yet she held a natural beauty~not glamorous or gorgeous but, that...Wonder of the World kind of beauty. And you, yes... you..."
Gando:(Rage) "You're... you're..."
Goganzi: "Her grey eyes, her nose, her ears...."
Y2K: (Revelation) *Shifting eyes* "Oh... f^#$."
Goganzi: "I even smell her womb upon you."

That was the straw that broke the camel's back. G Heavy's skin grew hard and cracked as he plunged his right hand at the door. He pounded away trying to break through.

Y2K: (Demand) "GANDO STOP!"
Gando: *Stares at his father*
Y2K: "Let's just go alright. If he is in there for that, chances are he's not getting released in this lifetime. Let his a#$ riot and lets just...*breathe* get back before guards start asking too many questions alright?"
Goganzi: "Please, visit me again my child. We have so much to catch up on."

The two would look at that Goganzi guy before G Heavy turned to walk back toward the group.

G Heavy: "I hope you riot and decay in that cell, and let your name riot with you."

After a short time the two return to the group led back by a guard.

Replay: "Where were you two?"

[Marked for training]
[Leaving it to native to determine what the guard saw and says. This is kind of an intro for my new character.]

So maybe the holding cells were considered 'too' comfortable for many others standards. Prisons were supposed to make someone feel intimidated or lonely, hopeless even. But she remembered instances, before the policy had been changed. The cells used to be rusted up and pitch black, with nothing more than leaking ceilings, a wooden bed with the thinnest of cloth blankets. The bathrooms were nothing more than the corner that you preferred. Disease was ridden through the prison and people died and no one really cared about the scum of the earth. But, when an innocent dies because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, something needed to be changed.

So sure, the cells were more like a small commoner's dwelling, but few people seemed to complain when put there and the security was still just as tight, if not more so. Megami pulled out a set of keys from her pocket and shifted through until she found the skeleton key for the prison. "I realize this isn't what anyone was expecting. But these cells serve more purposes than just simply holding people and not every holding cell looks like this. But, he is still a member of high importance to your village, and as such I placed him here." Megami would say no more on the matter, but this wing of the prison was meant for other things. Sometimes they kept members in grave danger in the prison, given the prison had some of the best security and watches. They also used them for holding figure heads here who are under scrutiny, to avoid incidents of throwing them in a grungy cell.

Megami would wait for Kazuki to enter the cell, and would proceed to lock it before placing the keys back into her pocket. She turned back to the other group that had come in, trying to count all the people. "Wasn't there more of you?" Megami actually wasn't sure how many of them there were, for each time she thought she knew, another new voice popped up. But she saw another guard in the prison bringing a couple back. The guard approached Megami briefly, relaying an answer to her unspoken question. "A few of this group got lost, probably just made a wrong turn. Riled some of the prisoners, but they've been subdued for the moment." Megami nodded, thinking little of the real occurrence. Many of the prisoners had psychiatric problems along with almost have not seen the light of day or had real human contact in years. But some of the more advanced technology to allow such things hadn't made it's way towards Iwa yet, and the funds still needed to be acquired. Either way, Megami figured she may need to do something about that.

Having no one really addressed anything that needed her attention at the moment, she didn't feel the urge to hold anyone up any longer. Turning to Kazuki, she spoke to him through the window of the cell. "Should you need to contact me for any reason, just ask the guard to send for me." Then she spoke to the group. "Since we're done here, I will escort you out. Try to stay close this time." Souji would follow or stay as he pleased, as she had told him he could follow or go home already. There was no need to repeat it. If for some reason he needed to talk to her privately, he knew where her office was. But, for now she would focus on leading the group out of the prison.

Kazuki's next captivity time was about to commence. Ironically, despite calling the Overlord's newest accommodations almost royal-like, Shida had no such qualms in entering the cell and grabbing a few cool beverages from the small fridge. The former Sennin did notice what the other guy was doing but he opted to ignore that action. Bigger things were at hand, small fry would have to wait for their turn, and said moment would take its sweet time to come. Despite the lack of desire of being imprisoned in a foreign land, which should be quite understandable, delaying the inevitable would be foolish and would accomplish nothing. So Reaper entered his newfound home, at least for the new two weeks. As soon as the White Wolf had entered, Megami closed the door behind him. The sound of metal hitting metal as the door was shut was akin to the bells of the end of the world. In fact, the Executioner felt chills down his spine, a rare occurrence to him and something that was quite ominous to say the least. Was this the last time his pitch black eyes had seen broad daylight?

It could not be so. The Rider of Death still had his revenge to exact upon the Fire Daimyo. There was no way to tell when he would be able to conquer the Daimyo, but one thing was certain. That day was coming and when it time, everyone else would be better to stay the hell out of his way. The killing blow was his and his alone. If everyone else dared to attempt otherwise, they would be more than damned. The Silvery Haired Man's right entered his pants pocket where he found a small book. Taking it out, Kazuki quickly realized what it was and what to be done with it. Turning around, the Overlord called for Souji. "Guardian of Shadows, if I may. I have a book for you. I have no further use for it but you seem to be a guy that enjoys reading.".

The former Sennin extended his right hand and would relinquish the book to Souji once it was grabbed by him. A quick inspections by the Stone Guardian would allow him to conclude the book was small in size, it had a black leather cover that was completely bland. Upon a closer inspection, however, Souji would find a few runes that would read like so:
runes.php

These were special runes that few could read in the entire world. Only those with knowledge of how to summon demons would be able to read them. And those few would read "Book of the Dead".

There was never much to do but Souji wouldnt complain. He felt himself getting lazy spells from time to time when he was on duty. There was very little he could ever do that would change many things he was n Advanced Guardian. While holding a pretty high Rank amongst his peers. He always would strive for the best. Well especially the little talk that Megam-... Erm Lightning, had with him. He felt the accommodations for Kazuki were... over the expectations of the name of this place. The Hole. How anticlimatic. Though, he wasnt their prisoner to be held in their maximum security division of this. "Hm." nothing would really come of this as Souji listened and learned alot from how she was handling foreign affairs. Never once asking the Kage for his input, and making a judgement based upon her morals and what she was given.

Endo would likely find out anyways... and Lightning would likely have told him by then... she seemed to be one that kept communication very open but silent. While good on doing her job, she was better at the political squabble. Hm, interesting. Souji would nod and begin heading behind her and the massive group... he didnt know how many people where apart of the 'Dragon Crew', and he likely would never know. Before he would be turned around by the one being held... Kazuki. With a book. '...They didnt check him for weapons? Are they mad?' this infuriated Souji internally. However, his smooth demeanor seemed unwavering, as he would begin to speak, "So the group that brought you here... none of them stopped to check you for weapons, scrolls, or items of interest?", shaking his head and pinching the bridge of his nose he'd find that... his hand would stretch out to the man.

"Do you have any weapons on you, sir? Before I confiscate this item from you? If I frisk you and I find something you'll make this alot harder for yourself than things should be.", his voice firm and direct he hoped that Lightning heard him but maybe this wouldnt be the case. If Kazuki allowed he would take the book and continue frisking him looking for items or weapons. If not, things would be getting pretty hasty pretty quickly.

Now he could concluded he was in a foreign land. Why? Well, only in a foreign world would someone be met with such hostility when a gift was offered. Sure, said gift was the Book of the Dead, but the provoked reaction on Souji was hilarious. To add to that, the Guardian of Shadows had yet to take a look upon the book's cover. Imagine how he would react once he saw it? Especially if he was able to read it at all? World shaking much? But the most baffling part of all was that apparently, Souji, the dark child from hell, was trying to frisk the Overlord through the closed metal door. The only physical barrier that separated the the White Wolf from the outside world. This seemed so ridiculous that the Silvery Haired Man chuckled. Yep, chuckling was rare in the Executioner and since Leaf's downfall it was occurring with greater frequency. He was changing no doubt.

"Confiscate? Is that the term people in Tsuchigakure use when accepting gifts? I really have to say I am completely unfamiliar with your customs." Kazuki noted with a slight shocked tone. In fact, his facial expression perfectly mimicked said emotion. His eyebrows were slightly elevated from their normal position and his mouth was not entirely shut. Was he genuinely surprised? Not really. Souji's course of action was expected. If he belonged to the ninja forces of Stone, like the Rider of Death knew, and if he belonged to an elite branch, like the Reaper suspected, then the Guardian of Shadows was simply doing what Kazuki would have done in his position. "Nope, not really. Just this old book, I am trying to offer you. Maybe you are not so deserving after this." he replied as he backed down so that Souji could open the door and enter.

"But the real question will be, what do you consider as a weapon? Because as you know, for us ninja, anything can be a weapon, from the wind itself down to our own hands. In fact, even my tattoo could be considered a weapon if I had any ability to manipulate ink." Kazuki noted. And if the present company had failed to see in the first time, the former Sennin would point to his chest, where half of a tattoo could be seen. Displayed was a bleeding tree stabbed by a sword, the Senju banner. "And I do have a sword but I cannot surrender it to you nor to anyone else. That is a weapon that recognizes my soul and my soul alone and if you try to wield it, you will be cursed. So no, you can't have it. But I am more than willing to let you try. You just need to travel to Konohagakure, face the hordes of shinobi killing samurai and then search for inside Leaf's walls where it remains lost to me for now. In fact, I would reward you if you did it." he said. Was that bait for a game only those two could play?

With the Lightning chick leading the way, we head out of the prison. The group would have much to discuss concerning what Y2K and G Heavy had found as well as His Epicness plans for leaving without us. Many of us kept a constant eye on the big guy though, we couldn't tell what he was feeling. To meet his biological father face-to-face... knowing what that guy is,... knowing what he himself is. I couldn't imagine. Somehow someway, the Dragons would get themselves straightened out. How did I know? Hmhm, I knew, that how.

Souji would listen to the devious man from beyond the door everything seemed... odd. Why would he pass him a book. Why would he have had it and why didnt they confiscate everything on his person before trying to get him placed in custody. Souuji would file this in the report he would write up later but he needed to get all the information granted to him. So he would act with a clear conscious, what could he do to handle the situation as a Guardian should? And as the man would be revealed to him once again Souji would bow his head, "As much as you are right, you still should know being a Leader of Militant operations in your country. That the more you are able to disarm someone the least amount of things you have to openly worry about.", stepping forward Souji's Shadow would wrap around him and extend to the book as well as Kazuki himself. "We can do this one of two ways... Hard or easy. You choose. I'll floow your little game if you comply with what I am asking. Hand over any thing that could be considered a weapon on your person that is an object. I cant restrain your hands nor your chakra at the moment else I would.", shifting more Souji's Shadows morphed into serpent heads as they continued slowly moving Towards Kazuki.

"Whats it gonna be..."

Was the Guardian of Shadows deaf? Kazuki had just declared that apart from the book, book that he was trying to offer to Souji, he did not have any other possessions with him. The Overlord of the Senju Clan shook his head once, in disbelief. Why complicate what was quite simple? That was the main idea his mind was working on at the moment. The Stone Guardian was either attempting to play a game that fundamentally had no reason to exist or he simply was not as smart as the White Wolf had thought him to be. But regardless of pointless games and intelligence levels, which by the way, were not being measured, Souji entered the cell and began showing his true self.

As soon as the Guardian of Shadows step inside the room, his shadow enlarged and wrapped itself around its owner. Unfortunately, that created an equal reaction on the Reaper's own. "It seems our shadows are playing a Mexican Standoff kind of game. I wonder why they are reacting like this. Do you have answers for this? I am quite curious, I must admit. This has never happened before to me." the Executioner noted as he gazed Souji's shadow with a certain interest. Interestingly enough, as soon as the Guardian's shadow morphed into several serpent heads, Kazuki's also underwent a change. But instead of serpents heads, the Silvery Haired Man had skulls. Was it a duel of poison versus death? Shadows versus Shadows? Senju versus Yukata? A Giant Tree versus an equally enormous Snake? Equally matched or one had dominance? Could there ever be a way to know who was stronger?

With so much shadow play going on, no one from outside would be able to grasp what was going on and their voices would probably be muffled as well. Was this the ultimate way for total privacy? Quite an ironic way to find out. "It seems none of us is ready to budge. Our will seems unflinching and that usually indicates people that don't run in the face of danger. Those are usually the best of allies. It seems that later on, we will need to share words. But that time is not now. Like I said before, I have nothing else beside that book. So I take your question and turn it up on yourself, whats it gonna be?" the White Wolf questioned as he crossed his arms.

"Alright... I'll play this game.", Souji would state boldly. Holding his hand out for the book and then looking into the white haired mage looking male in the eyes. He had plans for the book. Plans that would not be stated icly nor oocly. Though they would come into play soon. Very very soon. If Kazuki were to allow this he would take the book into his hands. HIs snakes would back down and submerge back into his own shadow and reform. "So? Sound fair...", nodding once more he'd smirk. wondering where this yellow brick road would take them... if Kazuki allowed he would embark on the mission to Leaf... but... this wasnt going to be until he got out of the Hole though....

IF... he got out.

Souji would prepare himself... but if all went well he'd leave with the book and let it be in the hands of the Authority of the village.

Finally Souji accepted and took the book. It took him a while, but in the end Kazuki's will prevailed as it should be. Coincidently, or not, his acceptance of the book also made his warring shadows to recede back into a dormant state. And as if they were somehow connected, the Overlord's own acted accordingly. It was a complete mystery to the former Sennin. Never before he had seen shadows behaving like that. Sooner or later that particular puzzle would be solved just like any other. It was a matter of being patient. Luckily he had that in spades. At least to those kind of issues. When it came to exacting revenge on the Fire Daimyo, his patience was wearing thin and sooner or later his blood would start to boil due to the accumulating rage within him. And it would have to get out, one way or another.

"There is no such thing as fairness in this world. Is a world fair when shinobi are forced to leave their village due to the Daimyo of their Country? Is it fair for us to be persecuted by authority of a country we have died to protect? Is it fair to find yourself imprisoned when you have helped refugees to escape from a fallen village, when others did nothing and are free? Is it fair to stay in a cell when your clan is out there, dying and there is nothing you can do to prevent it?" the Reaper kept questioning before Souji could leave. "If this is a fair world, then by Zabucho I don't want to know an unfair one." the Executioner quickly noted before dismissing the Guardian of Shadows with a gesture and turning to the sole window of his room so he could check the view.
