Character's Physical Description: Daisuke stands at a mostly average height for his age, perhaps an inch or two taller, but not much more than that. His olive skin proffered the idea that he spent most of his time running around under the sun for as long as he could, which is further supported by his build. He has a slim, naturally athletic build; that is to say, he's not skinny, but he's far from overweight. The sides and back of his head is sheared to nearly his scalp, the only uncut length being the hair on top of his dome. The undercut hairstyle is long enough on top that he can pull it back into a small ponytail, which he often does just to keep it out of his still-childish face. He still has the softish features of childhood, but they're slowly getting more and more lean and mature with time. His bright blue eyes are reminiscent of lakes... Specifically, fresh water lakes, which happens to be his favorite body of water. He can usually be found with either an easy-going smile or a resting pout, and is never quite unhappy... Until he’s angry, and then it’s pretty obvious.
He’s usually wearing a variety of blue clothing and black shoes. He likes light blue, but dark blue sometimes looks better on him. It’s a day to day thing.
Character's Mental Description: Daisuke is a lot like the waters he calls home. He can absorb attempted blows and insults to his person like a rock causing ripples, only to sink and be forgotten. He’s teeming with life and vitality, and grows with the rain. Not physically, he loves the rain and it always makes him feel better, but that’s besides the point. But, like the ocean, his temper can level anything that finds itself in his way, and is nearly impossible to quell with anything besides time. It takes time and a considerable amount of negative energy for him to get to that point, however, and is a side rarely seen.
Daisuke is a helpful lad, and has a natural affinity with medicines and using his water-based Ninjutsu to help clean wounds. He gets the most pleasure from helping others, and has been known to say no only if he's helping someone else. He's a natural people-person, social butterfly, and charmer. Making enemies is a rare occurrence for him, and he himself doesn't have any enemies - he has become extraordinarily good at completely ignoring other children who don't like him.
Character History: The Yamada family was mostly just like any other shinobi family - a mother and father in the main branch without any particularly powerful skills, and never in any real danger in their day to day lives. His mother worked at the Academy as a teacher of the much younger students, and his father... Well, his job is boring and irrelevant, but it brings food to the table and is something he can forget about each day and go on with his life. Daisuke never had a hard life, but it wasn't an easy life. He's used to putting in the elbow grease to achieve what he wants, and he finds it fulfilling enough that he helps other people and always gives as best as he can.
The only dark piece of his history was the untimely demise of his older brother. He was more talented than his parents, talented enough to be noticed and recruited by ANBU. The two brothers never saw much of each other after that, but always went for ramen and seafood when they could. It wasn't Daisuke's favorite time, but at least he could still see his brother, up until he was killed in the line of duty.
