Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

[col]Part 1: Intercept the Messenger
Kyo walked around town and pulled a relatively large sign off of a wall. He couldn't read a lick of it, but judging by the images placed upon it, it seemed to be a form of mass propaganda against the government of Kumogakure. He lowered the paper and looked around the village to see this very same poster was plastered everywhere. Due to the rushed job it was to put the posters up, the posters were placed up sloppily and with very little adhesive. Posters were swinging upon where it hung and even some flew with the breeze across the ground. Instinctively, Kyo raised the paper up to his nose to see if there was a scent. It was faint, very faint, but it was enough to give Kyo an idea of what the scent smelled like. He handed the sheet off towards his wolf companion, holding it for her so she could get the scent. Her sense of smell was MUCH stronger than Kyo's, allowing for MUCH better tracking. After the wolf got a good whiff, Kyo crumpled up the poster and threw it in the garbage. It wasn't his job to clean up the litter in this village; his job was to find the person putting up this propaganda and question them.

After getting the scent, the two committed the scent to memory and waited until nightfall. Taking a position in the main square where the majority of the posters were hanged, the two waited upon a rooftop for someone to come around. All of the posters were cleaned off of the walls and off of the streets of the main square. Seeing this, it should lure out any more of those clueless terrorists to post more of their propaganda. It was very unlikely that anyone would see the signs and take it seriously, but a job is a job. Kyo and Dakota stayed still with Kyo smoking a cigarette, using his palm to block the burning red color of the cherry. The two waited until someone appeared holding a stack of papers. Stamping out his cigarette, the two of them stalked the shadows towards the person holding all of the posters. Something about this person smelled VERY different from the posters that were posted up last night.

Appearing from the shadows, Kyo appeared directly behind the person posting up the posters and put them in a headlock, causing them to drop all of their fliers. While trapping them in a headlock, applying a large amount of pressure, Kyo pulled the individual into a dark alley and slammed them into the ground only to cover their mouth with his hand. "You're working for the terrorist organization 'Simple Clue' aren't you?" he said in a hushed tone as the person, who appeared to be a 14 year old boy tried to talk but was muffled by Kyo's palms. "Shut up. Nod your head for yes and shake for no," Kyo said as he applied more pressure to the boy's face. He winced and nodded his head yes. "Good," he said before delivering a crushing punch to the boy's head, knocking him out.

The boy woke up to find himself strapped into a chair, being bound by barbed wire on his wrists and ankles. The more he struggled, the more the barbs dug into his skin. The room was dark, not even a single light shined on him. The boy struggled a bit only to cry out loud as the barbs dug into his wrists. "You're going to answer my questions, Kizuma Sho," Kyo said with his voice seemingly bouncing around the entire room making where he was hard to discern. The sounds of papers flipping could be heard. "Eldest brother of 3 children. A younger sister named Rina and the youngest being Kiku," he said as he continued to read. The boy continued to struggle upon hearing his siblings names. "Orphaned, too, I see. Would be a shame if I sent some people over to your house to 'babysit' your siblings, hm?" Kyo asked before the boy shouted out.

"I'll talk! Just please don't hurt my brother and sister!" Sho said before the feeling of a hand upon his head happened. It was as if Kyo was petting the human for a job well done. "Just in case you want to do anything stupid," he said before placing a headset to his ear. There were the voices of two fully grown men and the voices of his siblings in the background. They seemed to be feeding his siblings actual food and the kids were happy sounding. The boy shouted out into the mic before Kyo pulled the microphone away. "We could always take the food away from your brother and sister if you decide to give us bad intelligence. Let me tell it to you like this. If you give us good intelligence, we can find the three of you a good home where all of you will get good food every day, together," Kyo mentioned. His promise was empty and didn't have any back-up for his claims. Nor did he intend on following through with that promise. What he wanted was the information.

The boy started to cry and nod his head. He seemed to be more willing to help. With that, the light switch turned on and he sat in front of a two-way mirror with two shinobi feeding his siblings food. His mouth started to water upon seeing the delicious looking meal that the siblings were eating. Surprisingly, he didn't question why they took his siblings. Perhaps the information that they were safe was more than enough for him to go off of. The boy turned his head up to Kyo and he started to talk. From what he was told, the terrorist organization 'Simple Clue' is extremely disorganized and feed off of propaganda to spread their information. There is, however, a single leader that pulls the strings and even the members of the terrorist organization doesn't know who or what the leader was. They only know them through coded messages and a distorted voice over communication links.
The person in charge went by the code name "Foil". After getting the information that he needed, along with the location of where he could help out with handing out fliers, he went home to get some rest only to go and do the job tomorrow.

The very next night, Kyo infiltrated the location where the boy, Sho, said that those helping with the propaganda would gather. Dakota was left out somewhere near by within earshot. Kyo went to the spot and was approached by a fat man with a neckbeard. He looked at Kyo through thick glasses that amplified his eyes, only seeing a large version of his pupils. Kyo took the papers and nodded to the man, only for him to whistle, having Dakota get the drop on the man. After the man woke up, Kyo sighed and stood in front of him. They were in the same room that they brought Sho in. Unlike Sho, he didn't use kid's gloves and started to beat the crap out of the neckbeard until he started to talk. It didn't take long for the neckbeard to talk before a burlap sack was placed over his head and him ejected out of the interrogation room. Kyo didn't have time to play nice with this one.

Directly afterward, Kyo and Dakota went to the location specified where the neckbeard stated. The two laid low for a moment as they watched and waited. They waited for the majority of the night until they noticed a hidden wall on the side of a building opened up that lead downwards with people pouring in and pouring out of it. Upon observing, he noticed there was a secret knock. 2 consecutive knocks, a pause, 3 consecutive knocks, a pause, 1 knock, a pause, 1 knock, a pause, then 3 consecutive knocks. He committed the pattern to memory and simply waited for everyone to clear out before approaching the door. He performed the knock patterns and someone behind the door opened it. As soon as the person opened the door, Kyo punched them in the face and Dakota dragged them out, throwing them into the bushes. As an added insult, Dakota marked the person. Dakota's lack of patience throughout this entire ordeal caused them to dig a hole into the ground and bury the person into the hole while still alive. Kyo turned and watched Dakota do this with a blank expression on his face.

"Relax. We aren't supposed to kill these people. I know it sucks, but those were the rules of engagement. We'll go hunting after this is all said and done, alright? So just be patient," Kyo said as Dakota kicked her feet to push more dirt onto the pile. Kyo shook his head and turned on his headset. "We're in. They are inside of the village in a building with a green roof. There's a hidden door in the chimney leading to a set of stairs down to their main base," Kyo said before his handler responded with "Copy that, Scarred Wolf. We'll send in backup to round up the messengers and secure the perimeter. Standby for further instructions." Kyo clicked off his headset and grumbled. "Just let us kill the leader and be done with it. It's not that hard," Kyo said with a bit of disappointment. He turned his eyes towards Dakota and hooked his head to signify to her that they're going in. With that, Kyo and the wolf started their way down the stairs until their next objective is delivered.|

[A - SSM] Taking Down the Simple Clue

[col]Kyo found his way in through the secret entrance that lead down an abyss-worth of stairs with Dakota following. Dakota, herself, took up a large portion of the stairs down the first portion that was stuck in a narrow corridor. As the stairs continued downwards, they widened to allow more than 1 massive wolf to be able to move in any given direction through the stairs. After reaching the point where the stairs widened, Kyo and Dakota walked confidently down the stairs, receiving their fair share of sour looks, mainly for the monstrously sized wolf following behind the feral looking man. Neither of them cared about the glares and gazes from those working with the terrorist organization. Strange, however, that none of them batted an eyelash at them in regards to whether they fit in or not. It seemed that people from all walks of life had joined the Simple Clue.

After the myriad of stairs, the duo found themselves in a futuristic, in comparison to the current setting and technological superiority that the world was in now, room. There were television screens scattered across a single wall to create a single, large screen that had a map of the entire shinobi world on it. There were dots in specific places across the entire map with a big star located in the lightning country. Kyo assumed it was the location he was standing at now. He also noticed that the only place without a 'Simple Clue' presence was in Water Country. Who would operate out of that tundra anyway? Kyo looked from the large screen to other members at desks shuffling papers. It was at that point, that he saw a single room that oversaw the entire operation, covered in metal wiring. This caused Kyo to tilt his head a bit before making his way towards that room.

Not knowing the layout of the base was kind of a pain, however, not knowing how to get up to the main overseeing room. He walked up to the wall where the overseeing room was and had a confused look on his face. A voice shouted through the room, causing all operations to cease for a brief moment. This disruption was noted by Kyo and Dakota before turning towards the source of the noise. It was a nervous girl who kept their distance from the two. She looked at Kyo for a moment before looking at Dakota and her knees began to knock against each other. Operation continued as normal as the girl approached the two, shaking as she got closer and closer to Dakota. The closer she got to Dakota, the bigger the wolf's grin.

"Calm down, Dakota. You know the drill," he said to the wolf silently. Even with his words, the wolf didn't give up on their toothy grin as the girl approached. Just seeing the big, hungry grin and the eyes tracking her every movement made the girl more and more nervous to the point that she started to sweat as she approached Kyo. She gave Dakota a wide berth before approaching the man, carefully positioning herself to not be stuck between him and the flesh-hungry wolf. Her sweat gave off the stench of fear, which both of them picked up. Kyo suppressed his urge to smile and lick his lips. This was the same smell as a prey being cornered. "What?" he curtly asked before the girl nodded and cleared her throat. Her voice was shaky, like she was at the moment, and said, "W-w-well. Ar-ar-are you a new recruit?" she said before Kyo looked her up and down for a moment, looking highly unimpressed by the girl's lack of a figure. "Yeah, sure. I wanted to speak with the leader directly," he said before clearing his throat. "I mean, Foil." he said before girl nodded nervously, turning her eyes towards Dakota from time-to-time to keep an eye on the creature.

The girl nodded and made her way out of there and disappeared, going to Foil's office for a moment. After a moment of waiting, he turned around to notice everyone leering at Kyo and Dakota. He opened his arms wide, as if to challenge the little pencil-headed geeks only for them to downcast their eyes back into their paperwork. "Fucking nerds," he said before covering his nose. "No wonder this place smells like medicine and sadness." he said before the girl from earlier made her way out of the room. Without even approaching Kyo, she shouted out. "Foil will see you now. Only you, not the big dog." Kyo tilted his head for a moment and shrugged his shoulders. He leaned in towards Dakota and whispered into her ear. "If anything happens to me in there, tear these nerds to ribbons." he said before Dakota nodded and started to pant heavily. Asserting it's will, Dakota went to go sit on various people's desks, destroying their paperwork and all of their crazy charts and graphs they had in their minuscule cubicles. Dakota did this to several desks, glaring down at the people with a 'what are you going to do about it, nerd' look in it's eyes.

Inside of the office, Kyo walked into a Faraday's Cage, opening up the main door and then a gate in order to enter. A short, fat man wearing a tin-foil hat screeched out, "Close the doooooor!!! You don't know if they are going to read your thoughts! Close the door! REEE!" the man said with Kyo leaving the door open for a moment as he protested once more, slowly closing the gate behind him. He walked over to the man after looking at all of the strange conspiracy theories strewn about the office with pictures of faces linked to one another with a red thread. There were also news articles plastered on the walls detailing conspiracies and tabloids associated with them. The fat and pathetic looking man dug himself out of a pile of papers to look at Kyo and his eyes lit up. "Finally, some muscle!" he said before reaching into his pocket and pulling out an inhaler, sucking down the steroid-filled goodness. He walked up to Kyo and attempted to shake Kyo's hand only for Kyo to pull away. "Don't touch me."

"Erm, well, so you're the new hired muscle I see?" the man said with Kyo tilting his head at the conspiracy theorist, his eyes darting straight for the neckbeard. It was so distracting. Even Kyo, being as primitive as he was, shaved the neckbeard as it was unsightly. His eyes darted back to the man, avoiding the several chins that he had up to his face. "Yeah, sure." he said as he continued to look at the 'mural' only for the man to rub his hands together and nod. "Yes, have to track the globalists on their hidden agenda. We can't let them get TOO rampant, now can we?" the man asked before Kyo turned to look at him.

"You know most of this is bullshit, right?" Kyo said. He couldn't read a lick of it but he knew it was some propagandized material. "You're chasing after ghosts that don't exist and you look like an idiot to the outside world. This also looks pretty foolish to me, as well.
When was the last time you saw the outside world?
" The large man started to get more and more angry at Kyo's words before he went to go press a button on his desk. Seeing this, Kyo quickly ran up to the man, punched him in the face and in the forehead a few times, knocking him out. Picking up his limp body, Kyo struggled trying to pick him up until he smelled the man's scent and nearly vomited from it. This man had been stewing in his own juices for what seems like forever.

After struggling to leave the room, he whistled for Dakota and the wolf made her way to Kyo's side. Upon getting close to Kyo and the man, the wolf started to heave. Kyo placed the heavy man upon the massive wolf and the wolf's back began to bend. It snapped back towards it's back to try to get the man off of it. The group turned to look towards the duo and collectively screeched in unison, pointing at them. Kyo just shrugged at them and said, "Do something then, nerds," he said before the two of them started to casually walk out of the main room. The duo climbed the stairs almost completely unhindered. Sure, there were some frail office workers trying to stop them, but a single kick to the balls did the trick to deflect them away from him. Even the little girl that confronted him received a slap to the face. She was too young to kiss or grope and looked too much like a boy. So a quick slap was all that's needed. As the two continued their way up the stairs, Kyo sighed outwardly. "This was actually a little too easy," he said.

That was until the two of them reached the top of the stairwell where they were greeted by a colorful figure. A girl wearing colorful clothing appeared, striking a pose. Kyo looked disinterested in this girl and continued to move forward. The girl then shouted out, "Don't ignore me, damnit!" before attacking Kyo from behind. With a grumble, Kyo started to fight with the girl only for a single backhand to the girl's face to be delivered, causing her to fall down to her knees and looking up to Kyo with a look of glee. "Harder!" she shouted out. Kyo grumbled and shoo'd her away. "You're not my type, now go away." he said but the girl continued to follow behind. With a grumble, he put on his headset and spoke into it. "Yeah, I got the target. I also have a fan apparently. Started out trying to fight me, now wants to stay with me," he said before grumbling at the response. "Shut up! Anyway, I'm bringing the target in. There were no casualties."

The girl then clung to Kyo's leg and looked up at him with bright eyes. "Let me stay with you!" she said, hindering Kyo's ability to walk. With a sigh, Kyo placed a hand upon her face and pushed her off onto her back. She made a 'kyuuuu' sound before her form changed to that of an older woman about 20 years of age. Kyo cleared his throat upon seeing this woman and nodded. "Yes, you may come with me," he said as the woman ran up and hugged Kyo. A bit of drool came from his mouth before pushing her away. "But you can't enter where I'm going, alright. You stay outside while I tend to business, understand?" Kyo said before the woman nodded. "Hmmm!"|
