[col]Part 1: Intercept the Messenger
Kyo walked around town and pulled a relatively large sign off of a wall. He couldn't read a lick of it, but judging by the images placed upon it, it seemed to be a form of mass propaganda against the government of Kumogakure. He lowered the paper and looked around the village to see this very same poster was plastered everywhere. Due to the rushed job it was to put the posters up, the posters were placed up sloppily and with very little adhesive. Posters were swinging upon where it hung and even some flew with the breeze across the ground. Instinctively, Kyo raised the paper up to his nose to see if there was a scent. It was faint, very faint, but it was enough to give Kyo an idea of what the scent smelled like. He handed the sheet off towards his wolf companion, holding it for her so she could get the scent. Her sense of smell was MUCH stronger than Kyo's, allowing for MUCH better tracking. After the wolf got a good whiff, Kyo crumpled up the poster and threw it in the garbage. It wasn't his job to clean up the litter in this village; his job was to find the person putting up this propaganda and question them.
After getting the scent, the two committed the scent to memory and waited until nightfall. Taking a position in the main square where the majority of the posters were hanged, the two waited upon a rooftop for someone to come around. All of the posters were cleaned off of the walls and off of the streets of the main square. Seeing this, it should lure out any more of those clueless terrorists to post more of their propaganda. It was very unlikely that anyone would see the signs and take it seriously, but a job is a job. Kyo and Dakota stayed still with Kyo smoking a cigarette, using his palm to block the burning red color of the cherry. The two waited until someone appeared holding a stack of papers. Stamping out his cigarette, the two of them stalked the shadows towards the person holding all of the posters. Something about this person smelled VERY different from the posters that were posted up last night.
Appearing from the shadows, Kyo appeared directly behind the person posting up the posters and put them in a headlock, causing them to drop all of their fliers. While trapping them in a headlock, applying a large amount of pressure, Kyo pulled the individual into a dark alley and slammed them into the ground only to cover their mouth with his hand. "You're working for the terrorist organization 'Simple Clue' aren't you?" he said in a hushed tone as the person, who appeared to be a 14 year old boy tried to talk but was muffled by Kyo's palms. "Shut up. Nod your head for yes and shake for no," Kyo said as he applied more pressure to the boy's face. He winced and nodded his head yes. "Good," he said before delivering a crushing punch to the boy's head, knocking him out.
The boy woke up to find himself strapped into a chair, being bound by barbed wire on his wrists and ankles. The more he struggled, the more the barbs dug into his skin. The room was dark, not even a single light shined on him. The boy struggled a bit only to cry out loud as the barbs dug into his wrists. "You're going to answer my questions, Kizuma Sho," Kyo said with his voice seemingly bouncing around the entire room making where he was hard to discern. The sounds of papers flipping could be heard. "Eldest brother of 3 children. A younger sister named Rina and the youngest being Kiku," he said as he continued to read. The boy continued to struggle upon hearing his siblings names. "Orphaned, too, I see. Would be a shame if I sent some people over to your house to 'babysit' your siblings, hm?" Kyo asked before the boy shouted out.
"I'll talk! Just please don't hurt my brother and sister!" Sho said before the feeling of a hand upon his head happened. It was as if Kyo was petting the human for a job well done. "Just in case you want to do anything stupid," he said before placing a headset to his ear. There were the voices of two fully grown men and the voices of his siblings in the background. They seemed to be feeding his siblings actual food and the kids were happy sounding. The boy shouted out into the mic before Kyo pulled the microphone away. "We could always take the food away from your brother and sister if you decide to give us bad intelligence. Let me tell it to you like this. If you give us good intelligence, we can find the three of you a good home where all of you will get good food every day, together," Kyo mentioned. His promise was empty and didn't have any back-up for his claims. Nor did he intend on following through with that promise. What he wanted was the information.
The boy started to cry and nod his head. He seemed to be more willing to help. With that, the light switch turned on and he sat in front of a two-way mirror with two shinobi feeding his siblings food. His mouth started to water upon seeing the delicious looking meal that the siblings were eating. Surprisingly, he didn't question why they took his siblings. Perhaps the information that they were safe was more than enough for him to go off of. The boy turned his head up to Kyo and he started to talk. From what he was told, the terrorist organization 'Simple Clue' is extremely disorganized and feed off of propaganda to spread their information. There is, however, a single leader that pulls the strings and even the members of the terrorist organization doesn't know who or what the leader was. They only know them through coded messages and a distorted voice over communication links.
The person in charge went by the code name "Foil". After getting the information that he needed, along with the location of where he could help out with handing out fliers, he went home to get some rest only to go and do the job tomorrow.
The very next night, Kyo infiltrated the location where the boy, Sho, said that those helping with the propaganda would gather. Dakota was left out somewhere near by within earshot. Kyo went to the spot and was approached by a fat man with a neckbeard. He looked at Kyo through thick glasses that amplified his eyes, only seeing a large version of his pupils. Kyo took the papers and nodded to the man, only for him to whistle, having Dakota get the drop on the man. After the man woke up, Kyo sighed and stood in front of him. They were in the same room that they brought Sho in. Unlike Sho, he didn't use kid's gloves and started to beat the crap out of the neckbeard until he started to talk. It didn't take long for the neckbeard to talk before a burlap sack was placed over his head and him ejected out of the interrogation room. Kyo didn't have time to play nice with this one.
Directly afterward, Kyo and Dakota went to the location specified where the neckbeard stated. The two laid low for a moment as they watched and waited. They waited for the majority of the night until they noticed a hidden wall on the side of a building opened up that lead downwards with people pouring in and pouring out of it. Upon observing, he noticed there was a secret knock. 2 consecutive knocks, a pause, 3 consecutive knocks, a pause, 1 knock, a pause, 1 knock, a pause, then 3 consecutive knocks. He committed the pattern to memory and simply waited for everyone to clear out before approaching the door. He performed the knock patterns and someone behind the door opened it. As soon as the person opened the door, Kyo punched them in the face and Dakota dragged them out, throwing them into the bushes. As an added insult, Dakota marked the person. Dakota's lack of patience throughout this entire ordeal caused them to dig a hole into the ground and bury the person into the hole while still alive. Kyo turned and watched Dakota do this with a blank expression on his face.
"Relax. We aren't supposed to kill these people. I know it sucks, but those were the rules of engagement. We'll go hunting after this is all said and done, alright? So just be patient," Kyo said as Dakota kicked her feet to push more dirt onto the pile. Kyo shook his head and turned on his headset. "We're in. They are inside of the village in a building with a green roof. There's a hidden door in the chimney leading to a set of stairs down to their main base," Kyo said before his handler responded with "Copy that, Scarred Wolf. We'll send in backup to round up the messengers and secure the perimeter. Standby for further instructions." Kyo clicked off his headset and grumbled. "Just let us kill the leader and be done with it. It's not that hard," Kyo said with a bit of disappointment. He turned his eyes towards Dakota and hooked his head to signify to her that they're going in. With that, Kyo and the wolf started their way down the stairs until their next objective is delivered.|
