Kumogakure's residential area was replete with people returning home from their busy days. Shinobi and civilians alike crowded the streets. Doi, who'd been parading around the Susukino district, was now making his home as well. The boy was wearing his newly bought black hoodie. Despite only having owned it for a few hours, Doi had grown quite fond of his new jacket. It fit him well, and the lightning bolt logo on the back matched his unique magenta colored lightning chakra. Not to mention it was also one of his first purchases with the yen he'd made on his own. That just made it even more special.
It had gotten dark outside before he'd noticed, but Doi wasn't worried about receiving any kind punishment. He no longer had a curfew upon successfully becoming a genin shinobi. His parents acknowledged his ability to take care of himself now.
The boy had decided to make his way home by using the rooftops to avoid the crowded Kumo streets below. He leapt from rooftop to rooftop, using his chakra to increase his speed and to increase distance of his jumps as he went along. Doi could see he wasn't the only one using this method of transportation, as he could clearly see a few other shinobi doing just the same. No doubt, being able to run along the rooftops like this was one of the perks of being a shinobi.
Finally arriving at his residence, Doi noticed none of the lights in his home were on. His parents hadn't arrived yet, it seemed. However, the boy could clearly see a silhouette moving around in the dark inside of his mother's office. It also appeared as if the office window had also been forced open. Were they getting robbed? And how did none of their neighbors notice the intruder forcing their way into their home?
He had so many questions that needed answers.
Doi used a chakra powered leap to reach the office's window and speedily entered the room. He would take the initiative and swiftly deal with this intruder himself.
