Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The library wasn't very busy today. Doi could be seen scouring the many shelves of books in search of ones that contained information about a specific old nation. What was once Waterfall country and now divided into Bear and Marsh country respectively. He didn't harbor an interest in books normally, but these books were diffrent. Though he was born inside the bonudaries of Kumogakure, he felt a very close connection to the land of his ancestores. He'd always been interesting in learning about the place's culture.

Spotting a book that bore the distinct waterfall country crest, Doi reached up to grab it. In doing so, another book caught his eye. The words 'Failed Experiments V.2' could be seen in bold red letters on the book's spine. Due to its proximity to the waterfall country book, Doi figured he'd take that one down aswell and take a look. With both books now in his grasp, Doi tucked the waterfall country book under his shoulder and began flipping through the mysterious book that'd caught his eye. "Dr. Fanny Bumbum, huh? Never heard this name before. Maybe it's a pen name." He said after reading the neatly written name on the first page. Also noting that all the words in the book were hand written aswell. All the pictures were hand drawn sketches too.

The first sketch he saw in the book was that of a one-eyed humanoid beast. In the caption under it were what seemed to be a mix of jumbled words. The letters were the exact same ones in the normal alphabet, but the words they formed appeared completely foreign. "Ricony Flemu hentio kaboomboom shalalalala?" He said reading the words out loud in confusion. To his surprise, the book began to shake vigorously. Doi dropped it immediately and a giant head suddenly popped out of the page a moment later. The head had one large eye in the middle, just like the sketch.

Looks like he'd accidentally let a cyclops loose in the library. This wasn't good.

It wasn't often Tatsuo would be found in the library, whether he was looking for Saito or just lost he really couldn't remember as he didn't exactly have a lot of time to think. One moment there was nothing, books, a librarian shushing someone in the back, you know, every day library stuff but with the blink of an eye, everything changed. In the middle of the library there was a beast, a humanoid with a large eye carrying a large wooden club. How it got here? Who knows not enough time to find out either.

Quick to jump into action as ever, Tatsuo jumped forward already forming the necessary hand-seals for a wooden jutsu. Four wooden walls should do the job, he thought as he finished the seals just as he got into melee range of the beast. Despite this all going on, he noticed Doi an ally in which he drove back another ferocious beast with. Perhaps the two were just a formula for trouble. Whether that was true or not was yet to be determined, but because of his earlier hand-seals large wooden walls surrounded the three, Doi, Tatsuo, and the Cyclopes. Creating a sort of an arena to prevent any unwanted causalities.

The downside to such a barrier was it took a lot of focus, Tatsuo was unable to fully commit to the fight otherwise the walls would collapse from a simple swing of the Cyclopes's club, wreaking even more havoc in the already disheveled library. "You're going to have to handle this one, Doi!" Tatsuo shouted, maintaining a hand-seal keeping up the arena. While he was able to perform jutsu still, he would need time to gather up Natural Energy, in the mean time he just had to support Doi however he could.

The massive, humanoid beast lifted its head up towards the sky and unleashed a monstrous roar. Those in the library who hadn't noticed its sudden appearance were sure to have noticed it now. As the one closest to the roar's origin, Doi was forced to cover his ears using his hands to prevent any serious damage. Not that it really did much to deafen the roar's intensity. The books on the shelves around him were starting to fall from their places, littering the floor and some even occasionally hitting him.

Once giant humanoid's roaring began to die down, the library's floor began to shake. Up from the ground sprouted large walls made of wood, enclosing him and the cyclops. The young genin was baffled by this to say the least. What was going on?

Tatsuo said:
"You're going to have to handle this one, Doi!"

A familiar voice. It seemed Doi and the cyclops weren't the only one's inside the enclosed space. Turning in the direction of the voice's origin, Doi's facial expression turned into one of full on confusion. "Tatsuo? What are you doing here?" Last he knew, the older boy was a shinobi of Konoha. With the various questions swimming around in his mind, the young genin at least knew where the wooden walls were coming from. It'd have been much worse if he had to fight some kind of wood using thing and the cyclops.

Tatsuo was focused on holding his jutsu, so that left Doi to deal with the beast in the mean time. Charging up his [Storm Mail] technique, Doi took to a low crouch. At this time, the cyclops decided to start running towards him. Once the genin was completely covered in storm chakra, he blasted off towards the incoming beast.

They needed to find a way to subdue the beast before things got out of hand.

"I'll explain later!" the Jonin yelled out as the met the beast in hand to hand combat, he couldn't use any real destructive techniques here or he might risk tearing the whole damn library down. It really was an inconvenient position to fight, especially because the cyclopes had no care for civilian life. Luckily, Doi was quite the capable shinobi, perhaps while keeping this wall up and supporting him where he could Doi could bring the beast down. With Doi's lightning hitting it's mark, right on the shoulder of the cyclopes, it roared out in pain. The pressure from it's shout could be felt and the spit would almost soak the young storm user. He was gruesome but it was obvious he could be injured. The blow in his shoulder; while nasty looking didn't seem to stop him all that much.

The cyclopes charged Doi with his wooden club overhead in an attempt to crush him. Would Doi be quick enough to avoid him? Would Tatsuo be fast enough to bring up a barrier, Tatsuo bit the bottom of his lip as he realized just how fast the beast was. It didn't seem to limit on its speed, while the two shinobi were easily faster, the large humanoid definitely wasn't slow by any metric. Focusing some of the energy in the barrier around him, Tatsuo sought to bring up a wooden stake to protect Doi. While it wouldn't completely stop the blow, it would be enough to either allow him to block it, or buy him enough time to escape by the skin on his teeth.

Doi was able to quickly dodge the cyclops' overhead strike due to his enahanced speed while in his [Storm Mail] technique. The loud impact of the giant club against the library floor was ground shakingly fierce. Any normal person or even shinobi hit with that would've either been killed or knocked out for without a shadow of a doubt. Even Tatsuo's wooden stake was taken out by it.

The genin used a chakra powered leap to jump high into the air and deliver a sharp kick to the large beast's head. The cyclops reared back in pain and let out a loud roar. It was obvious the kick had made it very angry. The beast's lone eye even turned red and bloodshot. A multitude of veins now visible. A very clear signal of rage.

After Doi had run a bit to gain some distance, the large creature began to run towards him once again. This time in an enraged furry. Now mindlessly swinging its club around, the beast struck against Tatsuo's barricade multiple times as it attempted to land a hit on the young white-haired genin. Cracks in the wood release technique would appear after every impact, but then begin to heal itself as if it were alive. No doubt because of the constant flow of chakra Tatsuo was pushing in to it.

If they managed to destroy the cyclops' club in some way, they would put it at a decent handicap. They just needed to find a way to do so without getting hit.
