Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The female sat behind her desk, a concerned expression lingered on her face as she looked over the contents on the dossier that littered the wooden surface. The images on each held the face of someone different, there was however one consent in each of the them a jade dagger. It’s origins of the artefact where unknown to her but based to the trial of blood that it left in its wake its presence in the outskirts in Leaf as not something that she was overly keen on. Yuki leant back on her chair and rubbed her eyes, they where tired from reading over the same information numerous times she sighed moving the documents back into the folder clearing a space. Grabbing several pieces of paper she took to writing a summons.
You have been selected to carry on a mission of upmost importance and secrecy. Upon receiving this letter make your way to my office immediately.
Anbu Captain
Yokai

With the letter having been penned four times one of each of the Anbu In Training she called one of the Anub in the facility to delivery the note, Yuki sighed knowing that there was nothing that she can do other the wait.

Ziren got the letter. From reading it, he could tell that this was important. Even more important than when he had to kill a rogue ninja that was near the village. And his brother was there to help him surprisingly. But enough about his brother. Ziren needed a clear head for this mission.

He wore a black garb. Ziren then used his mask summons, as he made his way around town, taking detours just in case if someone was following him, only actually putting on his mask when he knew that nobody was around to see him.

He finally made it to where Yokai's office was. This time, he wore grey contacts, his mask was still that of what looked to be cracked, down the middle, dried blood in place of the crack, more dried blood coming out on one side of the mask, one of the eye holes.

He knocked on the door, knowing full well not to just barge through. He fixed himself, made sure that his Chain Scythe fit snugly on his back, ready for anything. Now that Ziren thinks about it. This mission really is important. Never had he had to do something that dealt with secrecy.

He let out a sigh, wondering if there are going to be others. A mission this important wouldn't just send one person to complete.

The sun had been shining on top of this white-haired boy's head... Ever since he had gotten towards this Uchiha household he had a hard time settle... but as he aged in here he started to get more and more used towards kind of things. Being able to relax at home, he had a luxury and not to mention sleeping in. And all these factors combined...

The ANBU would find the young male outside sitting on the boards and drinking coffee... He was still in his Sunday clothing drinking his coffee... The steaming liquid was a warm welcome... The sweet smell but the bitter taste of the liquid... It was steaming and if you looked down on it you could see your own image... This liquid was indeed a warm welcome named Coffee. As he was getting the message he signed a simple thank you, a habit he couldn't shake to sign if he just was awake... Not the best example of an ANBU in training may be... But he was awake as he saw from who the message was.
You have been selected to carry on a mission of utmost importance and secrecy. Upon receiving this letter make your way to my office immediately.

Izumi spat out the coffee and wiped off his mouth with the sleeve... He remembered that name as he thought backward... So many memories of him with that name... He knew who this was... And with that news in his head he started to rush... brush his teeth, clothing on, bandage his old wounded hand. Salved his shoulder and other places he still carried old wounds. The training that day had been harsh on his body and since he was still underweight his body had a hard time going over the recovery progress.

Finally, he got there in a hurry... He knocked on the door frame and got towards inside. He stood in front on one knee, kneeling down in front. "Fukuro.." He simply said his name as he wasn't all that used to speaking as soon as this in a waking up.... He had noticed that Ziren was here... And from his class, he saw one difference... there was a scythe on his back... Unlike Izumi who carried a different kind of bow. It had the exact the same on it, just a different look. As he stood up he couldn't help but to yawn under the mask. His hand hovering over the mask where his mouth would have been.. a great entrance

A knock and a letter was slid beneath the door to her barrack, Hanako resting in her bunk shifted her eyes towards the folded up piece of paper. She did not hesitate to roll out of the cot, briskly walking to retrieve the notice and read it's contents. There was no excitment in her body though neither were there doubts or annoyance at being summoned for a mission. It was just an understood part of her job which she took to like a fish breathing in water, natural. The plain casual clothes that had been worn on her body would be folded and placed on a stool, momentarily leaving her exposed had someone walked in. She changed with haste, grabbing hold of a mask that lay at the edge of her cot post. It would be slipped on as the door behind her was closed.

She walked into the office some time later, still an enigma despite having had some personal contacts with other members in the branch, her gaze glanced at the other two first before the woman behind the desk. She recognized Izumi only as another trainee she had trained with but not as the person she'd spoken to in a casual setting. As far as Ziren, for all intents and purposes this was the first time had seen this trainee. Her mask was different than the others, with an integrated respirator like addition along the lower face portion. The reason would have been within her records, something the woman at the desk would possibly have known though she could have easily scanned over that bit.

Either way, she stood at attention and waited for the next few commands.

The female looked up as she heard the door to her office open, she looked up from the papers that covered the desk and saw Ziren was the first to arrive she didn’t say anything to him and simply waited for the others. Izumi was next practically falling through the door, stain of coffee on his pale skin. Yuki, though trying to hide it, couldn’t help but smile as he entered the office he had grown and developed so much even though he wasn’t her actual child she couldn’t help but feel some maternal pride. The last one to enter the office was a lithe framed boyish looking female, the lower part of her face was covered by a respirator which from knowing her reason behind it Yuki was glad for the inclusion, she had female before other than in the picture that was supplied on her personal log Hanako was so far proving herself as a valuable asset to the branch.

“Now that you are all here,” Yuki stood up from the desk grabbing a few documents from the pile and walked round to the front of the desk, she handed each of them a file consisting on all the information that they would need. “In these file is the information that you are going to need, there is a artefact that has been discovered making its way through Leaf as we speak, the last report was that it was with a trader in one of the outposts near the border. This object seems to have left a long stream of bodies in its wake, I want you three to recover it and return it safely.” She rested on the back of the desk leaning back a little “You are going to need to gather information on it’s location at the same time no alerting anyone on it’s importance, I have selected you Hanako it take the lead of time. The other two of you are to treat her with her the same respect that you give to me.”

Last Known Location: Trader Camp near the Border of Tea Country

Description: Small ornate jade dagger of unknown origins, based on its design it was used for ceremonial reason rather then a weapon. Reports that owners have meet a unfortunate end are tied into the legend of the object. Due to the misfortune that has been tied to the owners of the dagger this has lead us to believe that it is either tainted with Dark Jutsu or been used in some ritual.

Last Known Onwer:

Madam Xhou - Owner of Madam Xhou Curios at Shinogi Landing ,Tea Country. She was found dead after glass cabinet fell on her crushing her to death, it is believe that he nephew, Xhou Ling, is now in the possession of the item and is looking to trade it.

Known Current Owner:

Xhou Ling - Nephew of Madam Xhou, largely known to be a moron, he is though to have made is way to the trader camp just beyond the boarder of Leaf. Informants tracked him entering Leaf though as of now his movements are unknown.

Yuki gave them enough time of each of them to read over the information that she had handed over, once she believed that enough time had past she stood up again.

"Any questions?"

Ziren waited for what seemed like just a few minutes. He was about to speak up, to ask what was this about, when he heard Izumi's blood flow. Soon, he himself was followed after the sound of his blood, he didn't show it but it sounded like he was full of adrenaline. Possibly from training.

Ziren looked at him, he seemed to have grown from when they were teammates along with Soku in their ANBU team. Speaking of which, he thought that Yuki had called his team down here, but was actually surprised when a different blood flow was heard.

A person, they wore a respirator as a mask. He doesn't really remember seeing this person around. Then he quickly found out the name of the third member of the team. Hanako. Who is also the team leader of the mission.

With introductions past, he listened to what Yuki had to say. A track and collect mission, sounds easy enough. Oh, and don't let anyone else know of how important it is. Then he stopped. Wait a minute. Did she say that this object seemed to be connected to deaths of a lot of people?

Ziren opened up the document he had in his hands to read further in to the situation. Looks to be some sort of ceremonial dagger of some sort. Last known reported owner died from glass cabinet. And the new owner seems to have gone missing shortly after entering in Leaf.

Once he was done looking over the information, Yuki asked them all if they had any questions.

Ziren did have one. Even though they were told to keep hush hush on such an important item as this, they surely aren't the only ones looking for it.

"I'm going to take a guess that we aren't the only ones that will be looking for this cursed knife of doom?"

He didn't mean for it to come out like a joke at the end of his question. But just from the information he got, all he could think of was that it was some sort of cursed knife of doom. Leave it to him to ask a good question only to mess it up at the end.

Izumi had run... and hurried as quick as his legs could carry him... He was still panting when he had entered the room... and he could swear he saw his mom carry on a smile... Mom... For a second his smile faded as he was a little lost in thoughts... So strange... 2 years ago he didn't even have a complete family... and now... since a year... He had a family... He swallowed a little before he stood back up again. Smiling softly as he always did as he had a warm thought in his head.
As the third one entered... One he had only trained with... and with that, his hand went automatically towards the other hand... He remembered the pain impact on it and he pouted a little... Couldn't help that... I mean...c'mon that was a cheap ass shot on the hand!

As he started to listen towards Yuki her words... It seemed they were to go and find a certain object as far as he could listen... It left lot's of bodies behind itself and they were to recover this object. As he listened further he started to listen a bit more... and his body froze. "Wait... hold-up... her..? He is a she and not a he..?" He was... baffled at this and had turned his body towards the one he had invited towards the bathhouse a couple weeks ago now. His mouth dropping a little and he turned a walk around Hanako. "Damn.... And they tell me I am a trap...!" He then would remind himself where they were to be standing right here and now... and he got a slight color now he placed more thoughts behind things and a pout slowly grew on his face. Guess someone just found out a delicate part of a meeting...
Slowly he turned away and opened up the file to read... Yup... Boy hormones and just... staying away from now calming down with a flushed face. "I even asked her to go to the bathhouse... how awkward would that have been..." He muttered to himself as he didn't even realize he had spoken that out loud as he wasn't even used to his voice till the given day. Seconds later Izumi started to let his eyes go over the paper. He knew his memory from time to time... He knew it could work photographic sometimes... and just hoped this was one of those cases. He sat down and let his eyes go over the details of this weapon they needed to acquire... the persons that were displayed.

"I have one..." He said as his eyes went over the paper once more. "Last known whereabouts. Which trade camp was he spotted... That way we might find a line already..." He now only looked up towards the female behind the desk and his teammates. Hoping he had said something right.

She was different than the casual setting Izumi had known her in and evidently more focused on the job at hand that personal banter, similar to how she behaved when they were training. It was apparent that she was the type to maintain two different personas, both equated to either being on the job or off the job. In this case she was on the job and so she had generally killed any traits that may have been attributed to a run of the mill conversation. Her eyes were focused as she read through the folder, neither lifting her eyes to study her teammates interactions or perking her ears. Instead she was taking in their statements and questions without showing any physical signs of doing so. "A ceremonial dagger that could potentially be either cursed or something sought out for a specific ritual which would mean there is a certain target audience for this artifact." She mulled over the details multiple times, with each time creating another question which was either going to be answerable or something that they themselves will have to uncover during the progression of the mission.

"Hmm...interesting. Though I suppose if I am being assigned as a leader for this mission then my questions should reflect that....only shocked asking them is not something either of these two had felt the need voice yet.." She closed the folder after a while longer, her breath escaping from between her lips as she understood the gravity of the situation as well as the umbrella of controls they would of had to navigate in order to see the mission through. Multiple locations, unknown rituals and jutsu plaguing an even more mysterious item, but most important would be the unknown parties involved who might want to secure the dagger themselves. Narrowing her eyes, the girl's gaze would focus solely on Yuki...

"I have several questions actually, some revolving around the nature of the mission and others revolving around how we should act in case factors begin to escalate. Besides the questions revolving around the last whereabouts and -if- another group or party are also in search of the artifact...First, given that we are going to have to gather information while at the same time searching out the relic means that this is a covert mission. So -if- we get into a situation where we cannot avoid an engagement do we have authority to eliminate a target if called for to keep our motives a secret. Second, should we encounter another group or party, would our response be to understand their reasoning or eliminate them? Last but not least, should we successfully recover the artifact how would we go about returning with it -safely-. If the dagger is accursed with a dark jutsu then without a way to counter it how could we competently transport such an item back without being at risk ourselves?

She asked her three questions with a tone of seriousness the others did not have, a tone that mulled the lines of feminine and masculine voice norms, further diluted by the respirator mask she wore. This was a complex mission assignment after all, even if it seemed to be as simple as a locate and retrieve.

Yuki stood up from her leading position to address the questions that the Trainee ANBU had. She should have known that there would be questions and the Haku wished that she could answer all of them but there was just so many things that where unknown, which was why the female found it more troubling.
“I don’t know if there are any other groups looks for it, if they are I can imagine that they are not aware of the history of the object and are purely after financial gain. I want to make myself clear now you are not to draw attention to this branch of this village. Do not kill or attack unless your hand is forced. However, if you do attack make sure you leave no trace that you were ever there. Once you have the object you are to return to me, from there myself and then other Captains will decide on what to do with it from there.” The female returned behind her desk and took a seat, she returned her attention to the papers that litter the wooden surface. “You are dismissed,” Yuki spoke once more this time not looking at them as she waves them out of the office.

Ziren nodded, given the mission, of what was at stake. No killing, no attacking, got it. But if hand is forced, clean up mess.

Nice, simple, and to the point it was. He would hope that Hanako would have a plan for this situation. For this was something new to him, that he has never really done. Being covert, quiet, and focused on the mission.

Ziren would need a clear head for this. He would need to get everything ready that he thinks would be important.

"Let me get a change of clothes and some equipment for the journey." With that said, Ziren walked out of the office, heading back to his apartment to get what would be needed for this mission.

The questions were simply answered, it was rather fun on how everything was going and turning out. Yet on the fact that they were to attract no attention to themselves, Izumi already began to think and think more. "Maybe a suggestion, Hanako. As you are the lead... how would you want us to dress for this..? Civilian or ANBU clothing?" He asked right now towards the one in charge.

Izumi wouldn't be bothered with the who what and where... And knew that victims already screamed if they saw the death incoming. He stretched his arms above his head and crossed his hands behind his head seconds later.

Once he had gotten an answer he would go and prepare for the mission that was up coming.

Small post sorry in advance.
